Beautiful pavilion. Friendly service.

Beautifully located restaurant right on Callantsoog's beach. A short walk from the free parking lot. Super friendly staff, delicious food, not exactly cheap, but what else is? Some drink prices were also quite high on the open-ended price scale.

A lovely place for a bite to eat. Staff from all over Europe create a pleasant atmosphere.

Delicious food right by the sea, with the wind in your hair and the magic of the sunset. Friendly and unobtrusive service. You can also just have a drink. Wind protection. Comfortable seating. Dogs are welcome.

It was very pleasant. Unfortunately, our food was delivered incorrectly, or rather, the wrong menu was served, but that can happen. Otherwise, it was very nice and I highly recommend it.

TOP location! There are several beach bars scattered along the beach, but the Woest Restaurant is definitely worth recommending. It's modern yet cozy, the food is delicious, the service is good (if not always 100% attentive), and the ambiance is wonderful. We've been there three times now and we love to linger. Definitely recommend it!

Great location, I come here often and it's always a relaxed atmosphere. The service is more than adequate, and our dog was provided with cookies and water by the restaurant itself, which was really great. The only downside, for me, was the food. It's quite pricey, but you're also paying for the location. I just expected more. I had the Big Boy burger, and it was definitely one of the lesser burgers I've had in a restaurant. Huge chunks of pickle on the bottom, the burger tasted like fish (as if it were fried in the same pan as the fish), and the grease dripped out, making the bun all soggy and wet with grease. Usually no complaints, hence the 4 stars. The food this time was worthy of 2 stars.

The view is beautiful. The service is friendly. But the food is expensive and terrible. The Big Boy burger had a lot of undercooked meat, and the fish was disgusting. The veggie curry was decent, but unfortunately, a lot of rice and little vegetables or curry. Our family of five spent €200 for a main course and two drinks. I'll never go back.

Friendly and helpful staff and a beautiful ambience

We went there twice spontaneously. The first time for dinner. We were able to sit outside without a reservation and received quick and friendly service. Although there are only a few dishes to choose from, they were very good quality and delicious. Great children's menu! We also went there spontaneously for lunch after a visit to the beach. The lunch menu was also very appealing. Friendly service! Highly recommended!

We reserved a table online, and everything went smoothly. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The menu is straightforward, but there's something for everyone. Both the starters, main courses, and dessert were very good. The value for money is absolutely excellent. We'd be happy to come back.

The ambiance and service were 5/5! The food was also great, although the sea bass was a bit bland—it could have used more seasoning. We had a very pleasant evening at the restaurant!

Yesterday we went to eat with the family. We immediately noticed in the afternoon that the waitress started in English. Not that we can't do that or anything, but why don't you try to be friendly and say something in Dutch first. The tone is already set, right? Forgotten drinks, asked 3 times, incompetent. We also got a different waitress at the table each time, who didn't know much better. During the meal it was clearly stated that we had a gluten-free person, it seemed like no one understood what that was. Fortunately I brought something myself, because I had no confidence that it would be okay otherwise. The food was fine for the company. For dessert I asked for a scoop of vanilla ice cream with whipped cream (because of the gluten, no sprinkles, candy or other nonsense in it please). To my surprise I still got a cookie in the ice cream. Well, then someone really doesn't get it. All in all a mixed experience; messy because of the staff, gluten-free no-no's, but not a total turn-off. Could be better.

We visited Woest for brunch and dinner three days a week. The location was fantastic, right on the beach. The staff were very attentive and courteous. The food was the best we had in Callantsoog. I highly recommend the Big Boy Burger, but the salads with salmon and carpaccio were also fresh and crispy. We'll be back, we promise.

What more could you want, nice food on the terrace in the sun. Fast and excellent service. Sanitary facilities also well maintained...

“Woest little love — but luckily there was a can of hope” At Woest you expect something robust, something with character. What I got was mainly sadness in fast food form. The fries reminded me of a French motorway stop in August: limp, soggy, and overheated under a heat lamp that should have given up long ago. The yoghurt bowl was generously filled, but mainly with… yoghurt. The granola seemed intended more as a suggestion than an ingredient. The cherry lemonade? Without real cherry. The mint in the water? Probably reused. The tataki was okay, until I came across a hair — which I left in place out of a kind of defeated acceptance. The cortado turned out to be a bad coffee verkeerd. It's not on the menu, so I forgive her. The Spa Rood was boring, because a little citrus would have done wonders here. Then the bright spot: the Pineapple Mama from a can was cold, fruity and exactly as promised. Also nice: the English-speaking lady: Nice, with humor, relaxed. If Woest had more of her, it might still have been something.

Simply a classic, run-down restaurant, with friendly staff and a varied menu; there could be a bit more choice. Otherwise, just what you'd expect.

The location is beautiful that certainly deserves 5 stars but that is the only thing. 2 stars because this restaurant is not open to criticism I had given my opinion about a dish then our table was completely ignored by the service. For what we had eaten it was incredibly expensive. Definitely not worth repeating and also not recommended

A very good place to eat if you spend the day in Callantsoog. You can choose between a terrace and an indoor dining area with spectacular views of the beach. Very friendly staff and some typical Dutch dishes. The place is spectacular and beautifully decorated; it's all made of wood, making it very cozy.

Ate there with a group of 70. Small menu but enough choice. Friendly staff. Beautiful and cozy decorated beach pavilion. The food was well taken care of and served at the same time so that is great and especially with such a large group. Price/quality I thought it was really too expensive. Recommended the pumpkin soup was great.

Really a very nice beach bar! We have been going here with pleasure for several years. The service is neat & attentive. And... everyone speaks Dutch. In Zeeland this is no longer self-evident. Food very good and quickly prepared. And it is no longer cheap anywhere. Also drank cocktails one evening. Beautiful creations and delicious!

I've been to the Netherlands many times, including many beach restaurants and bars. Each time, I was impressed by the naturally friendly staff. Woest completely disappointed me in this regard. The service was cold and distant. We went there twice and, unlike the beach bars to the right and left, we didn't feel welcome. I won't be returning for a second try. It's a shame, because the atmosphere is very nice. Perhaps one day there will be a new owner with a different concept. Just take a look at the neighbors. ;-]

Finest beach restaurant in North Holland, good food, nice terrace, friendly service, and that is still partly true ..but on a sliding scale...menu a lot more limited and simple..no longer a place where you really go out to eat...but more level just a bite to eat..level satay, hamburger, service sweet and friendly but less knowledgeable...order a drink of around 7 euros.... presentation..glass on the table, plus unopened can...I can also go to a snack bar for that, in short, we have been coming to this place for many years..but the concept appeals to us less and less..

Nice place, you are always good here. Table with 10 people reserved. Service competent. Food good. In the winter the menu is better. The summer menu is a bit less. This makes it possible to serve the guests quickly.

Unfortunately, things have gotten worse. It used to be very friendly and nicely decorated. Unfortunately, it's not anymore. Cocktails are very expensive and don't taste good. The food is okay, but nothing exceptional.

The location was dreamy. You have a wonderful view of the sea and the sunset was a great sight. However, when we arrived at around 7 p.m., the outdoor area had already been completely cleared out, even though it's open until 10 p.m. This obviously doesn't create a cozy atmosphere. Unfortunately, our waitress was more concerned with tidying up the area than serving us, so we had to wait a good 20 minutes before we could order more drinks, even though she saw the empty glasses several times. When it was time to pay, the table was already being wiped and the decorations removed while we were there. The food was okay.

We keep coming back here despite it being a 1.5 drive from where I live and why? The peace and space in Callantsoog but also definitely Woest, because what nice friendly people work here! And what a delicious food again today on for us the first beach day of 2025.

Super nice tent! Good food, good drinks, beautiful surroundings and location!

Most of the restaurants in Callantsoog couldn't really convince us. That's why we ended up at the Beach Restaurant Woest. In the late afternoon we found a shady place there without any problems. The service was extremely friendly, the drinks came quickly, and the view of the sea was really beautiful. We decided on the nachos - for €11.50 you get a really decent portion that also tastes really good. I can absolutely recommend the restaurant for smaller snacks. However, I can't judge what the rest of the food is like.

Very tastefully decorated, with a few still affordable dishes on the menu. However, for 0.3 non-alcoholic bottled beer you now pay 4.70 euros.

Very chilled - the seating is really great, the view of the sea is unbeatable - we were here for lunch and dinner and always had a great experience - the service is perfect. Unfortunately there is no seasonal atmosphere here either - no Easter decorations and no flowers, although there are plenty of tulips around.

We only had a drink, so I can't rate the food. You sit nicely sheltered from the wind, by the sea. This is how vacation should be.
