7:00 PM for a show, and we went to dinner very early (4:30 PM) with a reservation. The appetizer took over 45 minutes, and the main course also took over 45 minutes. Then we ate it all hastily and paid as quickly as possible. All in all, it took two hours, feeling rushed. The schnitzel was "a shoe sole" and the bread board was "on the house" on the receipt. In short, a very unpleasant experience with this restaurant.

We ate here tonight (Sunday, November 9th), it was delicious and incredibly cozy! We were a group of four and everyone had a wonderful meal. Besides the food, we also received excellent service from the young waitress with brown hair. She knew what she was doing and was incredibly helpful and friendly. One of us had an allergy, and she explained everything we could and couldn't eat. The food was also very tasty and plentiful, and we didn't have to wait long. We will definitely be back!

Fancy a bite to eat after the musical? Well, not here! What a disappointment. The pepper sauce tasted like a bag of water. The waitress tried to tell us, but after walking past three times, we received no response. The meat was tasteless, and the plate was a pile of green goo with a single half-cooked carrot. Actually, our gut feeling was already right when we arrived... there were only four people inside on a Sunday evening at 6:15 PM. Not recommended!

I received a response from the company regarding the review below. I immediately sent them an email, but haven't gotten a reply. So even that's not working... unfortunately. I'm not one to complain, but the service was poor, the food was cold, several dishes were missing, and I even had to ask for dessert. The main course, which costs €30 per person for two, comes with a ridiculously small bag of fries. We even sent the food back because it was inedible. And the emergency exit was locked!! We asked for the bill, but they didn't even bring it. We went to dinner with six people, but I'll never come back.

We went to see the musical 40-45 in Barneveld. It started at 5 p.m. and finished around 7:30 p.m. Luckily, we hadn't had a proper late lunch, so we were fine, but we still felt like eating something. So we googled "fries in Barneveld" and found this place, a 5-minute drive away, which was ideal. We turned on the navigation and went. We parked the car and walked a short distance. We initially overlooked it. 🙈 But luckily, it all worked out, and they had a spot for us. We had a delicious meal here, which tasted great after the long journey, the nice walk, and the beautiful musical.

I had a super delicious BAS Burger. There was something wrong with the avocado bun. But it was neatly resolved, and we got a free drink on the house.

Good food, good beer, but the service could be better. We occasionally make a trip to BAS on Monday evenings, but every time we're disappointed because we have to walk up to the staff ourselves to ask if we can order more drinks or snacks. Seriously, you could easily double your turnover on an evening like that.

We were with a large group and asked if it was possible to make a salmon dish and a cauliflower dish gluten-free. We didn't get an answer, but instead received a dish that had been stripped down. Even another salmon dish had been made gluten-free—meaning, also stripped down. We also received three cones of fries for 10 people (the extra fries we ordered were duly included on the bill). When we told the manager of our disappointment, one of our group made a joke, which made her react very offended, telling us to go elsewhere next time and that she wouldn't do anything with our comments.

We were here with a group of 10 people, and I can confidently say we never normally complain. But this restaurant absolutely blew us away. The portions were ridiculously small – with 10 people, we initially only received three packets of fries. Side dishes that we had ordered were simply forgotten. When we raised this issue, we received no apology or solution, just an arrogant response from the manager who told us to go elsewhere next time. We've never experienced such poor service and such unfriendly customer service. This is the first and last time we've eaten here for any of us.

We had a dish for two people with various cuts of meat and fish on a sort of mini barbecue. There was only one piece of salmon left. For what we got, it was quite expensive. The taste was otherwise fine. I would also recommend giving some wet wipes with this dish, as it involves a lot of chewing.

High prices and limited selection. We waited a long time for our food, and ultimately, it didn't arrive properly. Why? The staff wasn't friendly or welcoming.

My wife has a severe intolerance to E 621, which meant we could never eat out. This is quite frustrating, so I called the BAS (Dutch Food and Consumer Service) to see if there was a way to get a dish without this ingredient. We had to wait 45 minutes for our lunch! Even though it wasn't busy at all, people even walked out to get a drink. It took way too long. The salmon sandwich, with lukewarm salmon on it, is definitely not fresh!

One toasted sandwich was sliced so thickly that you couldn't taste the ham or cheese. One slice of ham was wafer-thin, and you had to search for the cheese as well. €7.95 was ridiculously expensive.

First of all, it's not very friendly that you have to pay immediately after ordering. I had satay Bali made with chicken thighs. The meat was so dry, and while eating, I found a broken satay stick in the meat. It wasn't from my sticks, as they were still whole. The meat tasted like it had been reheated several times. I reported this to the waitress, but only received an apology. This was on July 24th.

Very pleasantly surprised. The starter was excellent. The quality was very good and beautifully presented. The main course was also very good. The spare ribs were a bit greasy, but well-prepared. The price was slightly higher than expected based on the dish.

The photo turned out better than the food itself. Even the simplest chef's recipes didn't work out. The soup was too salty (think seawater) and the fries were a mess (think lots of small leftovers from yesterday that you fry twice the next day). I reported this to two servers, but no action was taken. In fact, when I was paying, the same server asked, "Did you enjoy your meal?"

The young man who works there now, July 9, 2025, at 2:02 PM, is very arrogant and refuses to listen, just mumbling. It's something we can't stand. It's arrogance. The customer is king... I find it really unpleasant. There were five of us, and when I asked if I could speak to the boss, he said he was on vacation, and the female colleague looked at us like, "No, she's here." Unfortunately, we did not have a good experience at BAS. The freshness of the prawns was questionable. I did not eat them completely. We sent back the chicken satay as a main course. It was probably spoiled. After explaining this to the waitress. We did not have to pay for the food and they offered us food on the house. However, we decided against this because some of our group had already become nauseous. I hope for BAS that it remains an isolated incident.

Fairly average restaurant where you get average food for an average price. The beer menu is quite extensive, so that's nice. I would go here for a beer or a drink, but not for an evening meal.

Went for the special theater menu of an hour and a half. We had agreed on half past five because we had to be at the theater at 8 and wanted to take it easy. At a quarter to eight we quickly ate dessert to be on time. Don't offer things you can't deliver. A starter was missing and the dessert, which we had to order right away because that was easier, didn't come through either. After an almost full glass that spontaneously broke, a clean glass came, but no new drink. Previous experiences were always fine, but this time it was below par

Disastrous!!! 18:15 at the table, 18:30 order of drinks and question: do you want theater menu? Yes please, the show starts at 20:00. It is busy but two courses should be possible. 18:45 drinks arrive and order is taken. In the meantime nothing happens; even promised cutlery is not brought. Where is the food? It will be there soon, starter is ready. Nothing happens. Finally starter arrives and when requested main course would come immediately, it is then 19:20. At 19:45 still no main course and therefore paid for what we had had and left. Just in time for the show. NEVER AGAIN.

Due to musical 40-45 here reserved special musical menu. This turned out not to be feasible in terms of time despite only limited crowds and yet plenty of staff present. Desserts had to be cancelled. Food is very mediocre. Especially the wagyu burger (extra cost!): at 3 out of 4 it was very raw. Small plus, friendly staff and nice setting. But qualitatively below par and not worth the money. Too bad.

We hadden bij een collega drinken besteld. Deze was vergeten. Vroegen gewoon rustig en normaal waar het drinken bleef. Voelde zich gelijk aangevallen dat het niet zijn schuld was en maakte een wegwerp gebaar. Nog nooit zoiets meegemaakt. Carpaccio was top. superlekker ! Sate was smakeloos en droog. Hier komen wij niet meer terug.

Waiting two hours for a simple cheeseburger. We were there at 7:00 PM and the first main course was not served until 9:15 PM.

Reservation at 7 p.m. Took first order at half past seven. We left at 9 p.m. because we hadn't had any food yet. Waiters also do not regularly check to see if we would like something. Even though it wasn't too busy, we had to wait a very long time for our food. The service was very disinterested, forgot the bread in advance, medium rare is almost raw. A schnitzel as pale as anything. Apart from the carpaccio, the food is unbearable. Unfortunately not recommended for us. Paid 200 for far below average dishes, really a shame. Tried again today April 30th. But what a ball tent this is. Give the lunch menu at 12 o'clock and answer it, then report 5 minutes later that the bread is coming out of the freezer and it will take a little longer than normal. They are known in the region to be very slow, so we decided to have lunch elsewhere. There was no apology except that I wanted to pay for the spa red immediately. People, there are so many nice and hospitable restaurants within walking distance that have their affairs in order. Golden tip! Walk a little further than this dramatic tent. Het duurde al een half uur voordat we een drankje konden bestellen. Toen waren er nog geen menukaarten beschikbaar. Dus weer wachten. We hebben uiteindelijk voor een Avond Vol gekozen. Voorgerecht duurde weer zeker een half uur, misschien ook wel langer. Het hoofdgerecht, divers vlees op de bbq, was droog en niet warm. Waarschijnlijk lang vantevoren klaar gemaakt en nu heel even opgewarmd en op de bbq gelegd. De patat kregen we toen we klaar waren met het vlees, zelfs pas na 2x vragen. En toen was de patat (van die dikke patat) ook nog niet erg gaar. We waren er wel klaar mee. Zelfs een frisdrankje geven duurde oneindig lang. Geen dessert meer gekozen. Waren er echt klaar mee.

Bij het afrekenen bij de kassa lopen ze niet de rekening met je na en je krijgt deze dus pas onder ogen na het afrekenen. Pas na vertrek zagen wij dat er teveel drankjes op de rekening stonden. Jammer, het eten was niet geweldig maar wel okee.

Ordered the Musical and Theater menu, so that we could go to 40-45 'on time'. We arrived just after 5:00 PM and the musical started at 7:00 PM, it takes 10 minutes to drive to the musical. To stick to the terms of the website, you couldn't go wrong: specially put together to let you enjoy yourself within the right time frame before the performance starts. Drinks were delivered too late and with every delivery something was missing or something went wrong. Passed a total of 7 orders to ultimately receive 2 rounds of drinks. (was also wrong on the bill) Starter came later and finally the main course at 6:45 PM, so everything was 'stuffed' in 5 minutes to run to the car and sit sweaty inside at 7:01 PM at the musical. The food was fine, but not enough time to properly assess it. If you're going to a musical, don't eat here.

Delicious cappuccino (in a glass cup that is too small) and latte, the milk foam is as it should be. The fries are very tasty, but I would like to put the mayonnaise in a container instead of a snack bar bag. Terrace is not very cozy, a lot of concrete due to location. The indoor area is quite chilly, it is better in the conservatory, the seating area cushions could use some washing.
