Wildebras @ThePark in Wijk 57 Garderen

Today we were actually going bowling somewhere else, but due to a mistake, we couldn't go there, so... Where else could we go nearby? We ended up at De Wildebras, easy to book through the website! We were a bit early, so we had a drink first... we were helped by a friendly young lady, but... you can tell they're a bit inexperienced, just like the rest of the staff, but everyone has to learn. It took a bit longer (15 minutes). And we had a latte macchiato that was half-filled. I'd suggest a smaller glass or a fuller one, because that just looks nicer 😉 The kids used to find the play loft a bit scary, but apparently it's changed? And now they happily came down. We were escorted to the bowling alley, and he was happy to set it up for me, haha. We had a great hour!! Please note that this isn't a regular bowling alley, but a fun bowling alley, so the balls are small and the lanes are somewhat smaller, but that didn't make it any less fun for us. Parking is free if you've used the restaurant, for example. Just let us know when you pay. See you soon, perhaps.

We booked a table with a large group to have a cup of coffee and cake before climbing. They took care of everything for us! Attentive and helpful staff.

It's not all that great. The schnitzel was thankfully fried, but the quality of the meat was mediocre. Standard Sligro stuff. The sauce was very minimal and just smeared on top. The fries and salad were also very meager. You'd eat better in an average cafe. The price is quite high for what was served.

The food was truly delicious! The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The only thing we didn't like was the lack of Heineken on the menu. Anyway, the pasta wasn't particularly special, but the meat was truly delicious!

Lovely patio with good patio heating. After waiting for at least 20 minutes (at a dirty table), they came to ask if we wanted something to drink. My comment that I thought they'd forget us was met with a sharp "we're busy." We ordered a drink and, just to be safe, our main course. It arrived fairly quickly. A meager pile of spaghetti that wasn't even warm enough. The taste was good, but all in all, a very disappointing experience. We got back to them, and that was, in itself, well received. How they could make up for that next time... That's a missed opportunity, of course; you need to make up for it immediately and figure out how you can still surprise your customers. Such a shame.

We had a delicious meal here after climbing at Klimbos Garderen. The service was super friendly, the atmosphere was relaxed and informal. The food was great, the portions were generous, and we didn't have to wait long. Highly recommended for a post-climb recharge.

On the first day of our stay at Resort Veluwe, we thought it would be fun to try the restaurant right away, but we were quite disappointed. The staff is very friendly, but there's a terrible amount of misunderstanding. Literally every course was a mistake. When the first drinks were taken when we arrived, we ordered a blackcurrant and two beers, after which the waiter asked, "So, three beers?" (not jokingly). We were sitting at the table with two adults and a five-year-old... The starters weren't served at the same time. My wife's main course hadn't been passed on to the kitchen, meaning she couldn't eat until 10 minutes later. And when it came to dessert, they forgot our son's dessert. The restaurant's decor is fine, but the restrooms are old and not clean. The staff does try their best, but there's no structure or oversight. The food isn't bad, but it's not particularly good either. All in all, it's a shame. We had planned to stay at the park for the second day of our holiday so our son could play in the playroom or the pool, while we could enjoy a quiet drink in the restaurant. We quickly changed our plans and went to the Apenheul instead, as we didn't feel like getting annoyed by the Wildebras again.

We arrived early at 5:15 PM with our two children at Wildebras. The staff was very friendly, and we even briefly spoke to the owner and his wife. The menu is simple, but we chose several dishes (Chicken Siracha pizza, spaghetti bolognese, beef tenderloin, fries with chicken nuggets) and everything was excellent! The kids had a great time in the play loft, and we, the parents, enjoyed a delicious chocolate lava cake for dessert! We were very satisfied! Best regards, The van Putten family

My husband had the Schnitzel, which was truly delicious with a tasty sauce. The children also had delicious spare ribs. A real plus for us because the children also had a great time and we could enjoy ourselves together. Never knew this lovely restaurant was so close by. The menu is simple (schnitzel, satay, steak, fries... the usual), but the food is well-prepared and delicious. Praise for the extensive children's menu, where children can choose from fries, pancakes, spare ribs, pasta, pizza, and even soup. More restaurants should do this. We visited the restaurant at a quiet time, which meant the atmosphere was a bit lacking. The music was a bit too loud for our liking. One point of concern is the service. They are super friendly, but their approach is chaotic. They forgot to take orders, which meant my partner and I couldn't eat our starters together. We saw five different faces at our table, yet it took far too long for someone to check if everything was to our liking and ask if we'd like another drink. When drinks were served, the empty glasses/bottles weren't collected. When we weren't asked if we'd like dessert while clearing the table, we decided to just pay and go home. A missed opportunity. With some more professional service, the overall experience at this restaurant would really improve, especially considering the kitchen does an excellent job.

Unfortunately, the food was very poor. We wouldn't go back again.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ | An evening to remember! Yesterday we enjoyed a wonderful evening in this restaurant with our group. The food was fantastic, but what made this evening really special was the great staff. We have not experienced such enthusiasm, caring and hospitality in a long time. What struck us most was the sincere attention for the guests. One of us had injured her shoulder earlier that day and the staff checked in on her several times during the evening - a small gesture, but so valuable. Our group also participated wonderfully in the humor and our little man of 6 years was fantastically involved in the evening. He felt visibly at ease and had a great time. At the end of the evening he even got a coin to get something from a vending machine, when he couldn't do this the staff even helped him get something nice out of it. To conclude, we even got a special demonstration: how to balance a tray of glasses on your head using glasses. Hilarious and impressive at the same time! In short, an absolute must if you are looking for a place where you not only eat well, but also feel truly welcome.

We had a few lovely evenings on the terrace. Friendly staff. We had a lovely meal and you can sit there both inside and outside there is atmosphere. Service is good. We felt at home.

We had a wonderful meal with the family (group of 20) at this restaurant. The staff was very friendly and pleasant. Of course the food was also great! What I personally find a plus is that there is a (large) play loft for the children where they can play! We all had a great day! If we are in the area again, we will definitely come back!

Maybe I got lucky but the service, food and atmosphere here was amazing. Couldn't recommend this place more. Maybe the chips could have had some more salt as they were a little plain but otherwise very nice 👌

Years ago, the play loft was divided into all kinds of fun, creative corners full of toys. Perfect for role play. Now there are more screens. Our children were quickly bored, while they were really looking forward to it. Service mediocre; very slow, got a drink once, food came slowly and not at the same time, a lot of confusion so that our food and that of the neighbors ended up on one receipt. Checked it myself afterwards, so that we could pay for the right thing. Kicked the high chair twice, did not check how it was going. Food was tasty. Pasta very tasty, spare ribs large portion. We hope that the play loft will be brought back to its old style. That will make up for a lot.

Unfortunately not recommended, food is bad and service is not good, order takes way too long and then it's just a panini, no higher cooking skills.

Really geared towards children. Even bowling is suitable for toddlers and teenagers. The playground, including the bouncy hill, was the highlight at the campsite behind the restaurant.

Cozy place, great menu, but we were put in a corner and after 25 minutes of waiting no one came by. Then we just left.

Nice ambiance. Food was good, nothing special. Service friendly, but not attentive and not fast. Food took a long time. I was alone with my 5-year-old son, whose food they had forgotten (after having my own food on the table for 10 minutes, I asked and found that it had been forgotten). He then got a simple pancake with syrup and icing sugar, the syrup containers of which were empty.

After a fun day at the climbing forest, we thought we would have a nice meal at the Wildebras. What's wrong with that? This restaurant is located opposite the climbing forest in Garderen. If you have been there with family, you can easily cross the road to Wildebras restaurant. That is not necessarily recommended. It starts with paid parking. You don't expect it so quickly in these kinds of places in rural areas. We were with a larger group. We had made reservations in advance and even communicated which dishes everyone wanted to choose. But it turned out to be too complicated. It became absolute chaos with eating, recording and serving the drinks. Ultimately, several family members helped to keep things on track. Unfortunately the food was just so-so. Payment per family only became possible when we offered the solution ourselves. There was no consideration and the service was constantly irritated. Not very professional. Undoubtedly there are better places to be found in the area!

The staff was friendly, though not everyone was equally professional. Some people dropped their food quite often, while others did a good job. The timing wasn't perfect either; he literally came by two seconds after we had dessert to ask if everything was to our liking. It wasn't easy to understand everyone either. Otherwise, it was a pleasant evening. Bye.

What a disappointment! The waitstaff is incompetent, and trying to open a corked bottle of Verdeo without a waiter's knife is never going to work...the young man eventually figured it out himself! We had to ask for a wine cooler ourselves. Then the food...what a disgrace!!!!! I'm not going to waste any more words on it. My advice is to expand the cafeteria in the park, because this "restaurant" will never amount to anything.

The chocolate milk with whipped cream was delicious. They had Yahtzee, which was also really fun. The staff was friendly.

Downside: paid parking... that's really outdated. Bad luck: the kitchen was having problems: we were unsure if food would actually be served. Annoying: after waiting half an hour, we approached one of the two staff members and asked if we could have a drink and if a menu was available. Twenty minutes later, we were asked what we wanted to eat: "The kitchen is working now, we don't know how long, but we'll try." It's a shame that a pleasant New Year's Eve ended this way. It's not what we expected. Fortunately, there's some "leniency" for the inconvenience... We'd like to pay for 4 soft drinks and a tea for 19 euros, please... (including 4 euros for parking). We've since found a good alternative where we're welcome and where food is definitely prepared. This bodes well for the coming year. Not recommended.

This afternoon we came here for coffee. The more ‘experienced’ staff were smoking outside and didn’t seem to be in a hurry to help us. After a while we sat down and were helped by a friendly boy. However, it all took a very long time while there were hardly any other guests present. The older staff was unfriendly and the coffee was mediocre. All in all, not a great experience.

Had a great day today at the Wildebras. First bowling, something didn't go well with another reservation, but it was resolved neatly. Then we had a buffet with 30 people. Food was great, tasty, fresh and lots of variety. Also good consultation in advance about more vegetarian dishes and less meat. Top desserts and even extra ice cream for the kids. Service very friendly and attentive and they work hard but keep smiling. Had a very nice evening.

This is a place setting up for kids. There are a lot of kids playing areas, and included 1st and second floor like digital games and music and bowling even swimming pools with a slide (not open due to weather) we went to Klimbos on the other side, and came to here without thinking too much. It turns out it’s a good choice. Food service is slow but okay when kids are busy to play anyway. Recommend for family with kids

Delicious food and a great hour of bowling

We had our family party here on October 19. We chose this location mainly because of the play opportunities for the children, but also because of the location, atmosphere and appearance. We had agreed and recorded everything well in advance. The children had a fantastic afternoon and our guests enjoyed the hall, the drinks and the delicious buffet. Dietary requirements were taken into account. Things did not go well in the communication beforehand and during the party. The guests didn't notice much of that. This was discussed in close consultation with the owner and it was resolved excellently. We can look back on a successful family celebration.

Nice restaurant with a cozy interior. Very friendly service that has the organization in order. Even though there were only the two of them, everything went smoothly, compliments! And not unimportant; the food was good. The Ribeye was cooked perfectly medium and pure in taste. And another plus: the double espresso here is really delicious!

The small prawns in garlic are no less than 12 pieces... as a starter "we also distributed them under the table" very tasty. Shortly afterwards the main course. It was very quiet when we arrived, we were the only ones when the food was served and 1 group of 3 joined us. Only the main course we ate here took too long to have to wait for dessert, etc. Three people received their food after +/- 1 hour and one person 10 minutes later. Staff didn't walk around, if we wanted drinks or anything else we had to look for them (I think because it was so quiet). Parking was free in front of the door, which was possible because it was so quiet. There are approximately 10 places available. Food was also fine and sufficient.

The starter and main were supposed to come right away.. unfortunately it didn't come.. main course came an hour later.. that takes too long for young children.. and the food was also mediocre, little taste / nothing special! When we spoke to her she didn't even react! We told another young man that we had reserved and he told us that there were no lanes available. I told him again that we made reservations the day before. He then said vaguely "a lane would be free in 10 minutes". After 10 minutes a lane was free, but ALL the employees continued to ignore us! While we waited we looked around and found our way to the bowling alley. 😯😲😲 1. There are steps?!!! Ideal for a ♿️ 2. For us Germans, this is a bowling alley! AFTER 30 minutes of ignorant waiting we left. Addendum to the answer: reserve: online or in the restaurant, inform: in the restaurant, Pay: in the restaurant 😉

Once but never again! Service does its best, but price/quality ratio is hard to find. One skewer of chicken satay with a bed of lettuce and atjar from a jar with some prawn crackers and fries for €19.50 is way too much to pay. The ribeye is also not left over. Even had to ask for the forgotten pepper sauce which was ordered, but not delivered to the table. The ladies' toilets are also not clean and there wasn't even toilet paper. You even had to ask for that.

You're driving up and it's very unclear where to park. Ultimately it turns out to be paid parking, 7 euros for 3 hours! The tent has a very nice appearance, but it is immediately ruined when you enter. We had made reservations for 7, only room for 6. There is also a shortage of menus, we received 2 menus while there were seven of us. It also took a very long time before you could take your order. Service was also nowhere to be found, we just had to get them to order our food. The serving of the food did not go very well either, staff often did not know which table to serve. We stayed in the park of which this restaurant appears to be part. However, we discovered that the game room and the play attic/playground etc. that seem to belong to this restaurant are not part of the restaurant itself. So the reviews about that aren't really fair 🙂 since they can't do anything about it (except pass it on). We had a delicious meal in the last week of the summer holidays. Very friendly employees and we didn't have to wait too long for our drinks or food. Everything was well taken care of during both lunch and dinner. We had American pancakes, paninis, croquettes, satay and pizzas.

An average lunch where the defrosted panini was quickly thrown on the grill, making it dry and not very special. The old-school salad decoration, with those tired, faded julienne carrot strips, didn’t really help my appetite for the extremely dry “desembrood,” which could have been from the day before, even though the salmon was fresh. The staff seemed disorganized, despite there being plenty of them around. On the bright side, the atmosphere was pleasant, and the coffee was actually quite good! * Master and Visa cc accepted here 👍

1 I have never experienced paid parking to go out for dinner. Poor service, was more concerned with his earpiece than with us as customers. With the dish with the prawns and spareribs we were missing a container for the bones and waste from the prawns, so the rest (limp fries because the container was in the sauce) was unedible. There was also nothing to clean your hands

Lunch served for 1 person... the other had to wait a very long time... in the end, after a long wait, it still wasn't there. And after asking a few times, she forgot... once at the checkout, one of the servers did his best, but having lunch together was no longer an option.

Lots of potential in this restaurant, unfortunately little has been seen! As a starter we had 2 carpaccios, 1 of the carpaccios still had some cling film on the plate, which we probably forgot to take off. As a catering employee, I understand very well that you might make several carpaccios in one go and cover them, but this seems strange to the guests. As a main course a delicious diamond hare, unfortunately not medium as requested but well done (it can happen). The staff was quite friendly but still has a lot to learn. Do not ask if they can bring glasses, but simply take them away, nor are they asked in between if everything is to your liking. Lady who brought our food didn't know what the dishes were called, even though there were only a small number of options. 1 host did a good job and my compliments for that, nice spontaneous man who took our order. Unfortunately, when he left we had to wait a very long time for service. Our plates were never collected even though at least 5 staff walked past. We wanted to order dessert but we were never asked. Finally I walked in to pay after waiting 40 minutes for someone from the service. First check the receipt myself, after which I wanted to leave a tip, but the waiter didn't know what it was (boy of about 16). Then don't let someone like that do the billing. Staff may have done their best, but it all came across as a bit amateurish. Too bad, because there is a lot of potential! The price-quality ratio was also not good. Fine for us once, but we don't have to come back.

The food is nice. But the staff can take a course on how to deal with customers. Toilets dirty and no toilet paper. After an hour we reported it when still nothing had happened and these were then placed on the toilet roll holder. Adjustments to order seem very difficult. No tomatoes for dinner (I don't like it and it would be a shame to throw it away. No sauce on the cheese sandwich and white bread for the extras. All 3 didn't happen. The cheese sandwich was returned due to getting sick, the rest is accepted. Never saw any operation in between. In fact, we had to go get them. Also pay parking costs of €5.50 for 2.5 hours. And our other family were there 10 minutes earlier and even paid €7.00!!! Scandalous. It's okay that parking fees are charged because of everything there is to do, but at least give customers a discount!!!!! Never again, which is a shame because there is a lot for children to do.

A restaurant with slightly elevated prices, a mediocre atmosphere, and poor food quality. This all could have been acceptable for an average holiday park restaurant if it wasn't for the extremely poor service. The teenage waiters haven't been trained in waiting, nor basic manners for that matter. There didn't seem to be waiters nor chefs present above the 20 years age limit. It feels as if the owner doesn't want to spend any effort or money into this restaurant, and lets the customers at the hands of a bunch of high school kids, with all the to be expected consequences (orders get forgotten all the time, re-ordering doesn't work since that gets lost too, the language is too casual, waiters that don't wait your table don't know the status of your order and don't seem to be interested in trying to figure that out, etc.). Extremely disappointing.

Enjoy a snack and a drink on the terrace or inside. Clear menu with starters, main courses and desserts, as well as snacks as we are used to everywhere. Restaurant located at the front of the Resort Veluwe holiday park in well-maintained greenery, separated from a provincial road by a pond with fountains, which unfortunately occasionally disturbs the peace and quiet of the area. Pleasant addition to the holiday park. Great stopover for cycling or walking tours. Or relax and chat about the exciting experiences in the climbing forest opposite.

What a disappointment. My in-laws took the children and grandchildren out to dinner. We have had good experiences here before, but certainly not now. We had a reservation for 7 people. There was a 6 person table available for us. We got another place after complaining. It took 45 minutes before we got our food. During that time we were only offered a drink once. It was served incorrectly, so one of us had had the food for a long time and the rest had not. Although this has been repaired, we have not heard the word sorry or apologies once. With all this, the staff was not friendly, not competent and/or impossible to find. The prices are very high. Shame!

Been here for the first time today. It all looks very neat and well maintained. There is a nice playground outside for the children. There is a football field and a swimming pool. (I think only for the park guests). The terrace also looks beautifully cared for, just like the inside. We were a bit disappointed in the play attic with some toys and games. As far as decoration is concerned it was superb. However, we expected more from it. Our children got tired of it very quickly. About 5 min. The dining area is neat and has a nice ambiance. The service is very nice but still has a lot to learn. It took a long time before they came to help at the table. We had to ask several times if they could clear our table. They don't take anything back to the kitchen with them. The food was served in stages, so 2 people almost finished their plates before the rest got food. We also received the sauces when our dish was already half finished. Everything took quite a long time and there was no system. It looks like they picked a few shelf stackers from the supermarket and are running a restaurant for the first time without anyone in charge or any experience. I also thought everything was reasonably priced for a restaurant where the service actually performed well below par and you had to ask for everything yourself. This also applies to the menu and actually to all subsequent rounds. A shame because this is a restaurant where you can get a lot more out of it. We actually recognize everything from the previous reviews. (maybe I should have read that in advance) There were about 8-10 staff and it really wasn't busy. (I think 6 tables outside and 4 inside approximately). The staff misses many opportunities. If they come to the table more often and when they see empty glasses and plates, they would clear themselves and immediately ask if everything is to their liking or if there is anything they can do. Then they would certainly have had a better review. Furthermore, the kids had fun, especially outside. And everything looked neat and clean.

Had dinner here with a group. The price and quality of the food was not in proportion. Service is busy with itself, there is no consultation, suddenly the food was served while we were not yet complete. I constantly got up because there was no attendant keeping an eye on us. Ordering drinks took really long. I really didn't think the service was good because of that. A shame for such a beautiful restaurant! It started to rain heavily and there was no way to move inside, in other words go home now. If you really pay more attention to the wishes of the guests and consult with them, you will not have these problems. Really not okay! Please hire a good restaurant manager to take care of everything! Then everything will be fine.

Very nice restaurant, with very nice staff and nice working atmosphere on the floor

Not recommended! Just been and was very hungry. We had to get the menu ourselves because it took a very long time. Drink was forgotten. Forgotten portion of fries. Carpaccio was frozen. I got a new one but it had no taste at all. Also a portion of satay, which was supposed to be homemade, had been under the heat lamp for just too long. In short, I would skip this one.

Okay, bottom line I wrote 4 years ago. But now.... Okay, it was Ascension Day and nice weather. But man man man it was apparently too much for the restaurant and snack bar. Now I know that staff is difficult to find. But then limit your number of guests. It's really not unwillingness on the part of the staff. You can really see them trying their best. But it seems as if there is no system in place. No steering. And if something goes wrong, the dominoes keep falling. There just has to be. To be someone who can steer in the meantime and stop the dominoes. Then about the food. That is not star restaurant quality. More that of the neighborhood cafe. And then again very dish dependent. The soup was fresh. Other things clearly frozen quality. But okay. Would certainly be better, but it is also not the worst thing I have experienced, although this time it ended up in the bottom 6.. ======= Just a little better than a standard camping restaurant. Eating is fine. Price quality ratio is ok. But if you want something slightly different, things go wrong. Staff are so stuck in routine that they forget to watch and talk to the guests. Nice for children with a separate play attic and a play corner for the little ones near the tables.

Had a nice day, friendly service. Food was delivered fairly quickly. I waited 13 minutes for my starter… 35 minutes later my main course. Burger of good taste could really taste that it is an angus burger. Entrecote well seasoned. Staff have fun with each other, which is worth a 10 to me, people who complain that they sit for an hour, yes, you soon find yourself having to choose a starter from the menu, etc. Just good for me, keep it up 👌🏾
