Excellent bar thoroughly enjoyed ourselves near the station food is lovely great service

We walked into a charming restaurant. The service was a bit chaotic, but we had high hopes. Once the food arrived, it was cold, absolutely freezing, as if it had just come straight out of the freezer. We raised our voice. We removed the plate with the promise of a new one. What happened? The same plate went straight into the microwave. It came back with the same tainted mayonnaise, a hunk of meat half-disintegrated, and the fries completely limp and far too hot from reheating. When we paid, we were asked if everything was to our liking. We politely pointed out that it was a bit disappointing. The answer was "unfortunately," and the staff left. We burst out laughing. It was simply laughable how subpar it was. Incidentally, we weren't the only ones: people on both sides of our table were complaining about their food. The service was truly appalling. A chef who apparently doesn't know much, and staff who don't care and are completely chaotic. Highly recommended.

We made a reservation here before going to a concert at Ahoy. A very nice restaurant with a great atmosphere. We were served quickly and had a delicious meal. We especially enjoyed the flat iron steak.

Music at a disco-like level. Service was severely understaffed. It took a very long time, and the food was served twice. Well, the appetizer didn't arrive for the second time until 45 minutes later. The brisket was extremely dry and incredibly salty. The red sirloin steak was definitely not red. The beer was good, but they didn't do much to improve it other than leave the bottle on the table. Definitely not something I'll be returning. The steak tartare was brought back for dessert 20 minutes after we'd paid.

We had a reservation, but it took almost 15 minutes to be seated. We couldn't find anyone to show us to a table. Then it took ages for our drinks to arrive. Apparently, something went wrong and they had to be reordered. It would have been better to just walk to the bar myself. The staff was friendly, but only one of them spoke Dutch. They can't do anything about it, but in a noisy environment, it doesn't help. Lots of Friday afternoon drinks customers, which didn't really help the acoustics. The food arrived faster than our second drink. The burger (Face Melter) I ordered looked good. Unfortunately, it had a lot of sauce on it and was very salty. It's better to order the sauce separately, so you can control how much you put on it. I don't mind a burger. It took ages to flag someone down to pay. We just got up and walked to the counter. That threw them off. It was a nuisance. All in all, not a very good experience. But if you just want to have a beer there, it seems like a very nice place to me.

We ordered three beers from the menu, which clearly stated 25cl beers. There was no option for larger glasses or different prices, which was fine. When the beers arrived, after a few sips, it turned out they were 40cl glasses. Very strange, since this wasn't mentioned anywhere on the menu. When we asked for the bill, we initially only received the card reader, without a receipt. When we specifically asked for the receipt, it turned out we were charged for 40cl instead of the 25cl we'd actually ordered. Everything was also in English, as if they wanted to keep things vague. Only after feedback was the amount corrected. It feels like they're deliberately trying to avoid transparency about what you get and what you pay. Absolutely unacceptable and not a pleasant experience.

Horrible staf, put you at a table, give you a menu and that is basically it. From the moment you enter you dont feel welcome. After people leave tables are not cleaned up, after your food is served you dont get cutlery, nobody asks if everything is ok with your food. Will never go again.

Very nice beer restaurant close by the train station of Rotterdam. The food was ok and the service too .. A bit noisy but it’s more pub than restaurant, so no complaints.. For sure I’ll go back.

Good menu and incredibly delicious food! The atmosphere is a bit less inviting compared to other locations. They do offer a separate table with their own tab, which is worth trying. The staff aren't exactly friendly, and you have to wait a relatively long time for service. But that's nothing compared to the food.

Great little find on our day trip to Rotterdam. Good selection of draught and bottled beers. Excellent service and reasonably priced - it was a shame we didn't have time to eat as the food looked lovely. Will definitely visit next time we are in the area.

Imagine yourself on a day wanting to go to that cozy friend to talk abd have fun. That's the best way I can describe B&B. Only difference is this friend has great tasting food, and nice drinks. There are enough vegetarian options as well. The service is good but can sometimes take a little while but I place that on it often being packed when I visit. Pricing is also acceptable in the new inflation economy you can have a dinner for 2 under 100 euro if you're budget conscious.

Expensive for what it is swish yet but I won’t be coming back

Cozy bar in the heart of Rotterdam, near Central Station. Great for Friday afternoon drinks with colleagues.

The food was fantastic, and the service was very friendly and accommodating. The prices also match the portions. As a special recommendation for vegetarians, I'd like to mention the breaded roasted cauliflower nuggets, which were incredibly delicious. For beer lovers, there's a very good and extensive selection here. A special highlight are two tables with their own beer taps for particularly thirsty groups 😉

Great food, great staff and great selection of beers. Including their own in house brewed beer. A definite must visit place in Rotterdam.

A place we've visited before. The burgers and fries are delicious. I would definitely recommend this place. The portions are filling. We've gotten corndogs in the past, but unfortunately, they've been removed from the menu.

Rude staff, loudly gossiping about a guy who came in asking simple question. Also female chef in kitchen chewing while looking at customers. Classless and not enjoyable when trying to sip their overpriced beer. Don’t recommend their own brew either - bit sour. Cheers

The place is beautiful and perfect to go for drinks. They have a wide selection of beers. We came with the idea to try their burgers but they said it was too late so we could only have snacks. The bitterballen were delicious and the snack plate was very abundant but it was quite spicy! We thought it was a bit expensive for what we got. Overall it was ok but I wouldn’t order the snacks plate again

Very friendly service, and the food and beer selection are excellent. They can also conjure up something delicious off-the-menu for children upon request.

Service was a bit slow but don’t want to blame the one waiter working his butt off. Only had drinks. Beer selection is good if you’re a beer amateur.

Location is a short walk from the Centraal Station. Great food, no queue for seats. Food was prepared fast. Beer selection and others are plenty. Overall very good dining experience.

What a terrible experience. The burgers are made with 2mm thick pieces of meat that aren't worthy of being called a hamburger. Bone dry. And then there's the service. They tell you to leave at 5:45 and then they insist on arriving at 5:30 with the main course and giving you a few boxes "that can fit in if we don't make it in time." Never again!

We were there on a Wednesday at 7 PM with a group of six. Upon entering, we were completely ignored—no welcome, no attention whatsoever. We had to find a table ourselves. While plenty of staff were milling around, no one even glanced our way. After ten minutes of no service, we'd had enough. We left and went to O'Pazzo. We didn't regret it for a second—we did get service there and the best pizza ever. What a contrast. What a disgrace, that Beers & Barrels place. Truly scandalous.

Looked for a place to eat near Rotterdam Centraal station that didn’t need us to go all the way to the city centre, and was glad to have found this treasure 🤤 Could do more (cinnamon) sticks with the s’mores but they know their meat well!

The food was really good, the service was fine. The atmosphere is nice, but a bit noisy because of the loud music and bad acoustics. The meat is good and the prices are fair, I would definitely recommend eating at this location of beers and barrels!

Perhaps the worst burger I ever had in my life while visiting Rotterdam for the Rotterdam marathon.

The service was friendly and it is beautiful inside. The food was good although I wouldn’t recommend the slow cooked brisket if you are used to good slow cooked meat. This was not that. But everything else was good!

The burger is amazing!!! You can choose between regular fries and sweet potato and both are delicious. The burger is juicy and very flavorful. Highly recommend 😋

Went to the Happy Friday Drinks here with a group of friends. Nice place, staff is nice and so are the guests. Nice mix of different nationalities and ages. It's also nice that there is a dress code that is checked at the entrance. About the party itself: It was very busy so it takes a while to move from one place to another. Drinks aren't cheap, but they aren't cheap anywhere anymore. I think the sound system is an area for improvement. This is too small, which means it is too loud and the sound sounds shrill and lacks definition. Very unfortunate for the dance experience. The music also went out for a few minutes that evening (system overheated?). The DJs did their best to create a nice atmosphere, but especially the last DJ went very quickly from song to song (sometimes he played 1 song for only 10 seconds), which in my opinion did not always get you into the groove. Still had a nice evening and keep it up Beers&Barrels!

The waitress’ attitude was really awful. I went to this place in 22th of March noon. I asked her is there any place for 1 person and she kept repeating “ Hello?” and shout at me. Not sure if she is lack of patience, in a bad mood or just racist.

We had burgers and beers, what more do you need? Huge variety of alcoholic beverages, and really tasty food.

We had a really bad experience. There was a mouse around the restaurant and a waiter was very rude. We were watching a football match that they advertised to broadcast at the bar and they turned off the TV because they were closing and did not care about the customers. When I mentioned that it wasn’t fair, she got mad and kick us out the bar. I don’t really recommend this place.

Ate here with two people. If you want to have a quiet meal, this is not the place to eat. Large groups of people shouting at each other while enjoying an alcoholic drink. Staff speaks to you in English, you have to wait 15 minutes to order the first drink. The food itself was fine, but we were not asked if everything was okay or if we wanted another drink. We left with our hamburger and a drink richer.

Had dinner here on a Saturday evening with a group of 8 people, the first hour was dramatic, we had to change tables 3 times within an hour because our reserved table had been taken. The concept is very nice, but the tab takes up a lot of space on the table, making it more difficult to eat. After this first hour we had to look for a server to get the menu card. A real shame because the food was really great! We ate very tasty burgers, half chicken and rib-eyes.

Had a nice meal here with a Social Deal. Delicious thick Flemish fries. The girl who served us was very nice and cheerful! Also very thoughtful: when we accidentally dropped a fork - and just wanted to pick it up again to use again - and she immediately came with a new fork.

We ordered “favourite” steak but the taste and even smell was very bad.

If you love beer here you will find about 100 different trademarks and you can combine it with something small or big to eat!

We had a celebration from my Company there. The place is nice, the service was good (although it was really crowded). Great variety of beers (including alcohol free beers) and the dishes/snacks were also good.

Food is okay. Service is where they fall short. It can take a long time until someone comes to get your order or second order. Also you can be unlucky to get the old bald guy that is just unnecessarily rude.

Went with a group of colleagues a few times. Very close to station and to my workplace. Difficult to hold a conversation because of the loud music but overall good vibe and perfect for smaller groups.

I’ve been there for the second time. The food is good, but the music is just too loud. You really have to raise your voice to have a conversation. The first time, we were seated at a different table upstairs. This time, a friendly Spanish waiter managed to convince his colleagues to turn the music down a bit, which we appreciated. However, my hearing feels a little impaired.

Good atmosphere and good vibe. Music too loud even to talk at 20cm. We waited for more than 20min for drinks and I needed twice to go to a new waiter to re-order again. For sure they need training as confirmation that horeca is not only a job but a passion. Despite that a nice place to visit.

The drinks menu was stuck together as if someone had passionately thrown up on it and when we asked about this we were told that they had a party yesterday and we would just have to deal with it. After waiting 20 minutes for drinks (which we did need after this reception), no one had come to the table yet and I asked if the place was even open. He would come within a minute, but I didn't know they did Surinamese minutes here and after 10 minutes he was still downstairs. After 30 minutes we decided to move on to another tent, great experience, never again.

Ordering was difficult, because almost no one on the staff speaks Dutch, and the person at our table gave the appearance and talkativeness of a wage slave who does not want to be present. The drink was finally ordered after 25 minutes. The delivery of a drink also took so long that I started to wonder whether the local brewery still had to deliver a keg. 35 minutes after arriving there was still nothing on the table. We just left. I indicated to the staff that the drinks were not necessary because we were going. All I was told was 'ok'. Didn't drink a sip, what a sad ending for an even sad case.

Food was fine, good price quality. Service severely below par. The service was good up to and including the main course. Then less so, the waiter who served us was gone and the new one clearly didn't feel like it. After the main course the plates were not cleared, we were not asked for dessert or if we wanted anything to drink. After 30 minutes I walked to the bar, where the waiter was busy clearing away empty bottles. We were clearly looked away because the place was almost empty, mind you, it was only around 8:30 PM (7:00 PM reservation) so not late at all. Asked if we could order a dessert or something to drink, dessert was not possible because the kitchen was closed? Eh, you indicate that when the main course is finished, like men's kitchen is about to close, do you want anything else? But you could drink well. Service would come to the table. Unfortunately, that boy continued to put empty bottles in crates and get new empty crates. So now another 15 minutes to the bar again, asking again if we could order something. Now he (with obvious reluctance) took the trouble to walk along. After taking the order he walks away without taking the empty plates with him, he had to point this out to him himself. Finally had drinks, then left. We were 7 people, and in the end we only had 2 drinks. You are open until 11:00 PM, strange that you are already being turned away at 8:30/9:00 PM. Extremely bad service from someone who clearly wanted to go home. So we won't go here anymore.

We had dinner here on a Friday evening. Food was delicious, the flat iron was tender and delicious, it melts in your mouth. The spare ribs were also tender and nicely seasoned. They have an extensive option of beer and some cocktails. Service they are very attentive and there was a DJ and he was very good. Overall I definitely recommend this restaurant.
