Frites Unique in Rotterdam Centrum

The fries and snacks are quite good. The overpriced burger was very thin, far too salty, and poorly topped. The overpriced loaded fries had no meat at all, were very greasy, and definitely not to our liking. It's a good place for a simple snack, but quite expensive. The more elaborate and expensive dishes should be much better for the price they charge. For 40 euros for a quick bite to eat and drinks for two people, the quality of the food was unfortunately very disappointing.

Very tasty fries with peanut sauce and fries. The bitterballen were also really tasty, although they could have been a bit warmer. The view from the terrace is great, although the seating is tight.

The location was quite nice and the atmosphere was perfect, brilliant service and clean area. Even the snack was delicious, but there were several overcooked and burnt fries on our dish which can be simply solved by taking a little more care during the preparation process. The price was fine but could be slightly lesser. Thanks guys and keep up the good work, we will definitely come again soon

Loaded fries (satay) were delicious. I also ordered a frikandel, which was really disappointing. I think it was B-quality (supermarket version), which I thought was a real shame. When you're charging almost €3.00 for a frikandel, make sure it's the best quality. The total price paid for loaded fries, a frikandel with mayo, and a can of cola (also imported, but that's beside the point) was €19.45, which is quite expensive. I don't mind, but then again, they deliver top quality.

On a nice Sunday evening 18/05 with our family enjoyed among other things delicious loaded fries and snacks. Ordered in advance and they even reserved a few tables for us! In addition to the good quality of the food, everything was perfectly prepared. We could enjoy the sun as a group at the same time and Frites Unique gave our Rotterdam day a very nice ending. Incredibly crispy and fluffy vegan frites, vegan croquette and the owner’s mum’s homemade satay peanut sauce! So friendly and clearly take great pride in and care of this cafe 🍟 🥜 😋 Bedankt!

Delicious loaded fries with homemade satay. Highly recommended. With it delicious shrimp croquettes and deliciously spiced chicken drumsticks. Great service and a small but nice terrace. We will definitely go here more often!

Stopped here after the waterbus and it was a great spot to chill in and have some delicious fries. The staff are super nice and friendly and recommended all the best vegan add-ons. It was delicious and the peanut sauce was a great touch.

Just went today for the first time. Highly recommended. A nice nice place. I tried the loaded fries with chicken satay. Those are super tasty. Milkshakes are also great. And a very nice lady at the counter. We will definitely come back.

After a busy day exploring Rotterdam and before picking up my luggage from my hotel, I stopped into Frites Unique. I went with the advice of the lovely lady working there and ended up with truffle mayo fries. Excellent flavours, crunch and great portion. A must visit if you’re nearby.

Simply brilliant! The fries were simply delicious – crispy on the outside, perfectly soft on the inside. Plus the huge selection of sauces that really suit every taste. I was particularly blown away by the fatty sauces – incredibly tasty! If you like really good fries with great sauces, you should definitely stop by here. I'll definitely be back!

Ridiculously overpriced! The chicken burgers they sell here are even worse than the ones you get from the wall at Febo.

The staff behind the bar are very friendly and greet you with a smile. Both the burger and the fries are excellent (I recommend the joppie sauce). I recommend it one hundred percent 👍😀

The staff were super friendly and helpful, but weren't very clear about allergen information at first. Eventually we established that their chips are indeed gluten free and fried separately to anything containing gluten, and their sauces are generally gf as well.

Ik ben jaren vaste klant geweest van Frites Unique, maar er zijn nu nieuwe eigenaren die het helaas niet zo goed doen als hun voorgangers. Het is duurder geworden en de frietjes zijn minder goed en minder goed belegd. De speciaal is 2.75 voor een extra bakje saus, vind ik extreem duur. Wij komen niet meer.

Just opened again for a week after a change of management. Looks sleek and promising, the fries still taste just as good as before.

Er is een nieuwe eigenaar die de kaart heeft aangepast en de prijzen ook. Twee frites met saus, twee kroketten, een soufflé en een frikandel speciaal. 31,00 euro! En dan mag je thuis de frikandel speciaal zelf in elkaar zetten. Dat was dus de laatste keer.

Desayunamos en este restaurante, ya que estaba cerca de donde se alojó mi amigo. Huevos fritos y tocino en pan y huevos Benedict! El personal era amable y tiene una bonita sala de estar al aire libre si el tiempo es agradable.

I trusted the comments Arrive on site We decide to order Shrimp croquettes and fries As well as fries with a Japanese chicken topping We place the order and there to our great astonishment - shrimp croquette it’s not the season in the middle of August… mmh - same for the topping... As a result, the gentleman reduced the menu to a few items. Such as cheese and beef croquette and simple fries So we left disappointed

For Friday lunch the choice fell on Frites Unique in Rotterdam 🇳🇱. We were served by what I think were the owners of the business, despite how busy they were, they were super friendly and there was a positive atmosphere. Even with a long list of orders, our fairly large order was ready within 15 minutes. The fries still had the potato skin on them, which made them extra crispy and tasty. There could have been a little more salt on the fries. The hot pork topping with peppers and a sweet sauce was also quite good. The portion size was also very good, it was a generous meal. Definitely worth repeating.

Went today for the fries and goat cheese croquettes. Unfortunately, little of the menu is available on Mondays and Tuesdays. The fries were tasty, but personally I found the Japanese chicken less tasty. Also no ice coffee available. Little/no shade outside.

Good fries but nothing special in my opinion.

We found Frites Unique within walking distance of the canal and opted for the Verse Frites mushroom/truffle dish. This decision shouldn't have been a mistake because we got home-made fries with a delicious side dish. It's not a lie when I say that these were some of the best fries I've ever eaten. If you're in the area, you should definitely treat yourself to a portion here!

1. The people behind the counter are lovely people. They are incredibly friendly and greet you with a smile. 2. They have a HUGE menu. If you don't know Dutch you'll have a hard time ordering. 3. The fries are probably the best I've tried. It is so crispy and perfectly salted. They serve it hot right out of the fryer. 4. We got their peanut sauce. It was very mildly spicy. We heard so much about the infamous fries with spicy peanut sauce we just had to try it in the best voted fries place in Rotterdam. The sauce definitely complimented the taste of the fries. Would have been better if it was a little more spicy. 5. We just tried their fries but you get a lot of other stuff too. I've heard a lot of good things about their milkshake. Overall a very good place. Its been voted best fries in Rotterdam multiple years in a row it's definitely worth a shot. Would definitely recommend it.

Fries were very limp and very salty. For that price I expected better. There was a layer of fat in the containers with the snacks (tip: let the snacks hang out for a while). In short, for the price I paid, I expected more quality and attention during preparation (read: limp fries and snacks dripping in grease).

The choices are . Hamburgers, vegetarian food and fries and milkshake.. we ate fries and they were delicious. So highly recommended

Went for some quick snacks after visiting the museum. Amazing experience! We sat indoors due to rain. The ambiance was very nice and cozy. The owners were very welcoming and friendly. The fries were out of this world; haven't tasted such tasty fries anywhere else in Rotterdam, but the star of the show was their signature vegan sandwich. Fresh and full of flavors in every bite. Highly recommended 👌

Best French fries in town. And this is not just our opinion - every year this establishment receives such awards for its menu dishes. I recommend trying the local peanut sauce. Everything we ordered was very, very tasty. The lady at the cash register is charming. She helped me decide on the order, and her recommendations were spot on. She accepted us like family.

After 1.5 hours the order is suddenly canceled. Called several times while waiting... 1 of the calls was answered, or at least recorded and didn't say anything at all... Then at least provide your customer with information, it may be busy, then we will simply look for another place. If you are hungry and want to eat quickly, definitely do not order from this restaurant!

It may have won an award for best fries in 2021. That is certainly no longer the case now (2023). The fries are greasy and triple fried, the portions are very meager and the price is too high. And don't forget the snacks that explode in the deep fryer and are simply sold.

Ordered twice now with the office (and it concerns an order for almost € 100, no problem) and twice things went completely wrong in terms of service. The first time they didn't arrive until opening time, so we could wait until they could finally get to work. Why do you think we give a time when we will pick up? I don't know, but I think you have to make sure that if you open at 12:00 everything is up and running by that time. The 2nd time they had not received our email and we could not place our order via email anyway, we were told in the store when we came to pick up our order. It was annoying that we had been told the day before that that was possible. So we are called liars in the store...So we have to wait another half hour because they just don't have their affairs in order. And if you get an excuse or a free portion of bitterballen, but even that can't be taken away. But fine, then we just won't come anymore, will we? Oh yes, the food: that's fine, nothing to worry about. But given the prices charged here, you can expect the service to be at the same level. From now on we will take our money to Dennis Frietpaleis, at least he knows how to write service.

Echt wel de ‘patatzaak’ van Rotterdam. De loaded fries zijn echt superlekker maar ook de burgers en snacks zien er geweldig uit. Helaas geen toilet en een klein terras. Maar dikke aanrader!

Die Kroketten mit Käse und Spinat waren super! Die Erdnuss-Soße hat super zu den Pommes gepasst. Die Pommes selbst fand ich irgendwie nicht so gut wie erwartet - immerhin waren das ja Rotterdams Pommes Nummer 1 in 2021... Man sitzt sehr schön, die Abendsonne scheint einem auf den Bauch, es herrscht gut Betrieb. Der Service ist dennoch immer freundlich und geduldig. Cooler Laden!

Heerlijk eten met een grote keuze tussen verschillende dingen zoals hamburgers en frieten. Als het niet heel druk is dan heb je binnen 5 minuten je eten.

Bin oft in Holland unterwegs, aber Frikadellen war nicht knusprig sondern fettig. Die Pommes leider zu lange frittiert und hart. Ich war trotz der guten Bewertungen enttäuscht 👎🏻 werde beim nächsten Besuch in Rotterdam lieber was anderes ausprobieren. Vor der Tür sind 3 Tische als Sitzgelegenheiten, schöner Platz mit Blick auf einen Hafen in naher Entfernung

Als ik trek heb in friet bestel ik hier (via ubereats) Hier hebben ze naar mijn mening de beste friet van Rotterdam, aan te raden om met brandermayo te eten. Wat betreft de snacks zijn die ook prima (mexicano, loempia's, frikandel). Ze hebben ook erg lekkere chicken tempura en verschillende soorten kroketjes (mijn favoriet is de truffel). Van de broodjes ben ik niet per se fan. Dit is gewoon een wit bolletje. Maar nogmaals, de friet... Hemels. Ze staan op 1 bij mijn meest bestelde restaurants.

Medewerkster was meer met andere dingen bezig dan met patat bakken.Onze bestelling werd gewoon vergeten,terwijl ze daar volgens haar, na het afrekenen meteen mee aan de slag zou gaan...half uur later geld terug en ergens anders eten

Beef Hamburger- Cheese/Bacon 🍔 Worth it!! I landed on Unique Frites by chance looking for a bite during my Rotterdam trip. Let me just say, it was the great choice for food i made throughout my journey and I can say that it was the best Burger i had in Netherlands!!

Dikke aanrader als je in deze buurt bent een snelle hap wil. Alhoewel de friet met stoofvlees of kip sate waren heel behoorlijke porties. Ik dacht eerst dat het wat aan de prijs was maar de hoeveelheid en kwaliteit waren dusdanig goed dat dit meer dan ok is.

Na bijna een half uur onderweg te zijn geweest werd mij verteld dat de hotwings waren uitverkocht. Het was rond 17:00 uur. Ik heb nog gevraagd of er dan een alternatief was maar hier wilden zij niet aan meewerken. Dus weggegaan zonder daar iets gegeten te hebben. Nooit meer zeggen dat je een voucher van social deals hebt.

Meegenomen door een goede vriend/ fijne collega. Vriendelijke bediening, er wordt efficiënt gewerkt. Bij mijn bestelling vroeg ik -rasbrabander- om een "frietje stoofvlees" dit werd direct verbeterd tot "petatje stoofvlees?" Okay wat jij wil. Er is voldoende keus. Dat heet toppings tegenwoordig. Frieten waren ongeschild wat altijd een extra ambachtelijke en biologisch verantwoorde uitstraling geeft. Smaak was prima, portie friet voldoende, saus genoeg maar weinig vlees. Geen spijt van dit bezoek, zal vast nog eens teruggaan. Wel even sparen want goedkoop is het niet. Beleving was prima.

Das Essen war super lecker. Riesige Portionen . Haben gar nicht alles geschafft. Das Angebot ist überwältigend. Gerne beim nächsten mal wieder
