What a phenomenal experience! From the first small bites with a fabulous glass of champagne to the final dessert course, every bite was spectacular. The service was impeccable and the wine pairing was on point. I can’t say enough about how good this meal was. Every dish was so thoughtfully prepared and executed perfectly. All of the servers where on top of of every part of the service. Couldn’t recommend this more if you are looking for an elevated dining experience in the Netherlands. The real bonus was sitting at the chef’s counter and watching how a well oiled machine works. So impressed!

We had a wonderful evening here. The food is very good. It is slightly different from classic cuisine, which makes it fun. The wine and food are top notch. The setting makes it a complete experience. The service was just good, but it could have been better in some areas. We had booked the BLY Experience and were guided to our place. They offered us Champagne there that was not actually part of the Experience (the Experience is with Cremand), without saying that it would cost more. As it turned out, they had mixed us up with other guests. Everything turned out fine in the end, but it would be nice if the Champagne wasn't on the bill.

A world-class culinary experience – Beluga Maastricht We have visited countless restaurants in our lives, spread throughout Europe, in all price ranges. From intimate bistros to the most prestigious establishments. But what we experienced yesterday at Beluga in Maastricht was of a level that is rarely matched. Many restaurants carry stars, but only a few really deserve a place among the absolute top. Without a doubt, Beluga belongs to that select group. To be honest, the pictures of the interior on Google didn't appeal to us at first - maybe even almost a reason not to go. But let this be a lesson: what appears here on the plate and in the glass truly transcends everything. And the interior, once on site, also turned out to be a completely different experience than expected: stylish, well thought out and completely in line with the exceptional experience. What the chef and his team achieve here is culinary art of the highest level. Every dish a masterpiece, executed to perfection with a precision and finesse that only the very best master. One Michelin star is the absolute minimum this restaurant deserves – as far as we are concerned, Beluga is ready for the international recognition it really deserves. And then the sommelier… Wow. Anyone can open and serve a bottle of wine, but the way this man practices his profession, how he feels, lives and presents the wine – that is pure class. You rarely come across a sommelier like this. Please give that man an award. But it's not just about the dishes or the wine. The team. The precision. The obsession with every detail. Everything about Beluga radiates perfection. This is not a restaurant visit, this is an experience. Thank you, team Beluga, for an evening we will not soon forget. Thank you for showing us what food is really capable of. Absolute and indisputable world class, that is Beluga in one sentence.

★★★★★ What a great evening at Beluga in Maastricht. From the moment we walked in, everything was perfect. The decor is beautiful – a mix of oriental and modern tones, stylish yet warm and homely. The atmosphere only got better as the evening progressed, with music cleverly adapting to the increasingly loud and enjoyable conversations. The menu started with an aperitif in the first part of the restaurant, a nice build-up to what was to come. The dishes were all masterpieces, not only in presentation but especially in taste. What really impressed was the non-alcoholic drinks menu. Bob presented each creation with such pride and precision that it felt as if he had just emerged from his laboratory, where he had worked down to the millimeter to achieve perfect balance. The service was also top notch. Stephanie gave everyone personal attention, as if you were a guest in her own home. And then Servais, who visibly enjoys the reactions to his dishes - you can see in everything that he wants nothing more than to surprise people and let them enjoy them. The evening ended perfectly with coffee and tea in the lounge, a detail that shows how well thought out the whole experience was. Highly recommended.

We went from Nijmegen only for dinner at Beluga Loves You and celebrate my boyfriend's birthday and the night was unforgettable! With the snow falling outside (middle of January), it felt like the perfect night! The food was incredible—I even tried caviar for the first time and egg duck! Every dish was beautifully presented, we paired every dish with wine and non-alcoholic drinks. As someone who’s gluten-free, I really appreciated how well they accommodated me without missing out on any flavors. The service was good, the ambiance was cozy yet elegant, and overall, it was just a great experience. My first visit to a Michelin restaurant was nothing short of extraordinary, for the place and for the company!

Was wonderfully pampered yesterday. Very friendly staff. Received in the front room with champagne and delicious bites, all tasty and beautifully served. We had the 5 course menu with wine. The sommelier knew a lot about the wines and gave good explanations. Service was really great! The dishes were delicious, nice combination of meat and fish. If you really want to eat somewhere for a super experience, do so here!

What a wonderful experience and delicious food. We were well pampered this evening. It started with a bubble and some appetizers in the bar. You got the last appetizer at the table, the dragon bread. A fun gimmick with a delicious popcorn flavor. All dishes tasted good. The sommerlier made sure our glasses were never empty. The Irish mor came with both a beer and a wine and both gave the dish a different taste sensation. Everything was well prepared and came with a nice wine. A bonus is the beautiful building in which the restaurant is located. Highly recommended!

Great restaurant with top food! We sat facing the open kitchen which further enhanced the experience. The service needs improvement for a star restaurant. Uncared for fingernails at the sommelier who smelled unpleasantly of cigarettes and constantly changing staff who couldn't remember that we spoke German and English but not Dutch was a bit annoying. The explanations about the food and wine in English are also better. Nevertheless, a great evening with outstandingly good food and a very likeable (kitchen) chef.

Delicious food, we had the 7 course dinner with matching (bob) wine arrangement. We sat at the bar near the kitchen and could see everything, we enjoyed it! Good service, nice contact with the cooks and the chef. Everything was delicious! We actually ordered 8 courses, but that turned out to be too much.

Neglect and slowness From the moment we walked through the door, our expectations were very high due to the customers' feedback. I believe my wife and I share the same perception that the flavors are varied and harmoniously rich. However, there is something that we kept repeating in our conversation throughout the experience. We’ve had different experiences at other renowned restaurants and we understand that the steps are complicated and take time, but I think, in this case, they were excessive. We even considered leaving before the desserts. In conclusion, they could handle the situation better by understanding that at a Michelin-starred restaurant, the management of such situations should be more fluid and transparent with customers. This is not a criticism, but I am a chef at a 5-star hotel, and I want to be critical, especially to preserve gastronomy and customer service. Thank you

We decided at the last minute to book this restaurant for dinner during our day city trip to Maastricht. The restaurant showed a lot of flexibility despite our last minute booking. We were sitting on the bar with view on the kitchen, if you never did it, I recommend, it is a different and original way to enjoy a Michelin restaurant. The food is very good and the dishes are very well executed with a good care about details. I was served by mistake a dish with an ingredient that I mentioned not to have when I booked, however, the crew reacted very well and offered an extra glass of wine for the dessert. This was very professional and very much appreciated. Long story short, I really recommend this restaurant!

The restaurant's birthday menu consisted of 4 amuse guelle with a frozen dragon bread that steamed out of the mouth like dragon breath. Then five courses with delicious surprises and accompanying wines. The service was very unobtrusively attentive. A relaxed and very well-kept atmosphere. Everything is worth the price. We were completely thrilled and will definitely come back.

No surprising dishes or flavors, although you can expect this in a restaurant of this price range. Custom wines automatically added to the menu was not clear at first. Not always top pairing in my opinion, no real surprises here either. Price quality just fine. Hopefully this is being worked on.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of dining at Beluga in Maastricht, a restaurant once known for its excellent culinary experience under chef Hans van Wolde. Unfortunately, I have to conclude that my last visit far from met expectations. From the moment we walked in, it lacked the atmosphere you would associate with a restaurant of this caliber. The interior has changed, not my style but that is a personal choice, but it certainly does not benefit the acoustics The dishes were disappointing in taste. Where every dish used to be a true explosion of flavors and a work of art on the plate, it now seemed as if the creativity and passion were missing. The presentation was beautiful, but we were not surprised once as far as the taste was concerned. We were not able to experience the "wow moment" that we experienced in Leuf or Hoeve de Bies here. In addition, I found the price-quality ratio absolutely out of balance. For the significant prices Beluga charges, you expect an unparalleled culinary experience, but what we got did not justify these costs in any way. It felt like the current chef is unable to maintain the high level of his predecessor. Unfortunately, I also heard these comments from other guests when we were waiting to pay. Kudos to the ladies at the service who did what they could to make it a pleasant evening. It's a shame to see that a restaurant with such a prestigious name and history no longer lives up to expectations. I hope that in the future Beluga takes steps to regain the lost prestige, but for now I unfortunately cannot recommend it.

Fantastic food, relaxed atmosphere, friendly and very knowledgeable service! Beluga had been on my wish list to visit for a long time. We were in the beautiful city of Maastricht, so we took the moment to have lunch here. We opted for the 5-course anniversary menu with matching vineyard names, and we haven't regretted it for a second! After a friendly welcome, we took a seat in the 'living room' where we were offered a number of bites and an aperitif and an explanation of the menu and we could indicate any dietary requirements. My dining companion chose the vegetarian variant, I the 'original'. After the bites we were guided to our table in the beautifully decorated restaurant part. From here it was a wonderful, relaxing experience of beautifully laid out plates with delicious dishes, fantastic wines, very friendly service with knowledge of their products and nice conversations. After lunch, coffee and friandises were served in the 'living room' after which we returned home happy and satisfied.

Beautiful restaurant located on De Maas. Service is of a high level. The dishes were surprising. Langoustine and lamb highlights. The Irish oyster is not really our thing. Extra Wagyu dish was special.

We initially had an enjoyable experience at Beluga Loves You, but it was overshadowed by the fact that my wife and I suffered violent food poisoning afterward. Despite bringing it to the management's attention, they seemed rather nonchalant and offered no compensation. Extremely disappointed with their lack of care and professionalism, it would seem Beluga has little love for you....

Restaurant was EXTREMELY slow, after the appetizers, starter and main course we were all still hungry. But we didn’t have the patience to wait for a dessert as they announced minimum 30 min wait for this and we had been there for 3 HOURS for only appetizers, a tiny starter and tiny main course. Also the food was over salted. We are French and used to gastronomic restaurants and can definitely say this is not worth 1* Michelin. Also everything was over priced (220€/person) the servers not present, basically a terrible experience I would recommend to literally nobody.

Over the top experience for all the senses. It's a place to enjoy food as a work of art. The wine pairing was remarkable as well as the kind service, the beluga team made us feel special all the time.

Wat een fijne plek! Heerlijk gegeten. De sfeer van het restaurant is wat minimalistisch maar de sfeer in het restaurant is dat zeker niet. Wat een mooie gerechten, uitgesproken smaken en unieke combinaties. We hebben ons echt rotgelachen om het "drakenbrood". Bij elk gerecht krijg je een passend wijntje en die zijn echt heel lekker. Enige minpuntje is dat we schrokken van het bedrag van het aperitief, dat was netjes geweest als dat misschien even vermeld werd van te voren.

Subliem restaurant dat zeker meer dan één Michelinster verdient. Bij binnenkomst mag je eerst in de chique lounge plaatsnemen, waar je drie amuses krijgt en een aperitief kunt drinken. Daarna ga je door naar je tafel, met prachtig licht van buiten en deels zicht op de Maas. Het eten is fantastisch, zowel qua smaak als qua presentatie. Heel bijzonder zijn het drakenbrood en het rundvlees. Ook de diverse omhulsels met daarin een bijzondere vulling zijn verrukkelijk. Het personeel is zeer vriendelijk en correct. We hadden het voorrecht om chef Servais Tielman diverse keren aan onze tafel te hebben. Zo enthousiast als hij vertelt over het eten. Alles heeft hij hier perfect voor elkaar. Beter dan diverse restaurants met twee sterren. Dikke aanrader!

Dit is zeker een toprestaurant. De gerechten zijn lekker, creatief en het is leuk dat men het gerecht aan tafel verder afwerkt met de nodige uitleg. Een werkpuntje is echter de akoestiek (iets te veel lawaai). Dit terzijde, het was een leuke ervaring en zeker een aanrader!

This is my absolute favorite restaurant in Maastricht now. The food is always fantastic and you can see the passion behind the dishes from chef Servais. Services are also great and always efficient, happy and polite. Can’t wait to return and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to eat in Maastricht.

Ik kom hier al sinds mensenheugenis, met vriendinnen of zakelijk met investmentbankers, ik ben nimmer teleurgesteld geraakt. Een 10+!! Aardige mensen en servicegericht!

Beluga……ik snap de hype dat je er eens gegeten moet hebben….maar ik heb wel beter gegeten in Maastricht op plekken zonder ster. Ok, sommige gerechten zijn wel gewaagd, maar dan valt de service tegen. Je kunt beter Le Fernand een ster geven….maar liever niet want dan is het daar nog drukker 😊

Ik vond de lunch wat tegenvallen en niet zo lekker als alle andere keren dat ik er ben geweest.

Wij willen Servais en zijn vrouw nogmaals hartelijk danken voor de onvergetelijke avond en het heerlijke diner. Alles was tot in de puntjes verzorgd en het eten smaakte voortreffelijk. Passie voor eten en sfeer komen samen bij Beluga Loves You.

Bijzonder! Niet alleen buitengewoon eten maar ook een aantal smaakvolle verrassingen. We beginnen met een aantal lekker amuses met als afsluiter: drakenbrood; niet te omschrijven moet je gewoon ervaren. De gangen erna overtreffen elkaar keer op keer. Lekkerste: lam, minste: bosaardbei met asperge, jammer: wagyu. De begeleidende wijnen zijn niet alledaags en smaken ook zo, had wat simpeler gemogen. Zelden een team meegemaakt die met zoveel zichtbaar plezier de gasten verwende! Minstens één ster waardig!

First of all, I have never seen a Michelin starred restaurant put so much effort and detail in service. The way of serving, interaction and cleaning the tables was superb. Would have rated more if it was possible. The food was good. The Drakenbrood and the lamb served three ways were exceptional! The wagyu unfortunately did not really impress us, as the meat got a bit overwhelmed due to the other flavours. The wine pairing accompanied the food really well.

Heerlijk gegeten. Mooie combinaties van verrassende gerechten, en bijpassende wijnen. Natuurlijk met een goede uitleg :-) Je wordt vriendelijk ontvangen en voelt je op je gemak. Dus niet over de top, maar gemoedelijk. De sfeer is goed en dat vind ik altijd heel belangrijk!

The food is elegant and delicious, the only problem we had was the time between the cutlery and the dishes (15 minutes to change the cutlery and more 15 minutes waiting for the new plate), so we couldn't wait until the dessert and we left before the cheese plate..When we arrived we also had to wait around 40m between the cocktail and to sit in our table..a part of that everyone was very nice and professional, thank you Beluga!

My experience in this restaurant was more than amazing! They focus on crafting a great food presentation which gave as the first good impression and when we tried the food the taste was fantastic!!! My friend told the waiter that she has specific requirements for food and the Chef just prepared her what she wants that wasn't even in the menu! They are just an adorable staff I have to say and they deserve more than one Michelin star :)

We hebben gisteren een heerlijke avond gehad waarbij we op en top in de watten zijn gelegd. De ontvangst en afsluiting in de lounge vonden wij erg fijn. Bijzonder was dat je bij een aantal gangen 2 bordjes geserveerd kreeg, waardoor je direct na het ene "cadeautje" nog een andere heerlijke verrassing stond te wachten. Ook werden we erg blij van een lepel bij elke gang, die missen we elders nog wel eens. Wat ons opviel is dat de sommelier zich eigenlijk alleen tot de man(-nen) van het gezelschap leek te richten. Het was jammer dat de aandacht niet werd verdeeld en alles door de sommelier bij ons aan één persoon werd gericht. Daarnaast vonden wij de sfeer in het restaurant wat kaal, maar dat is natuurlijk persoonlijk en valt in het niet bij de hele ervaring. We hebben genoten van heerlijke wijnen en fantastische gerechten!

Superfijne ervaring, vanaf de moment dat je aankomt tot op het moment dat de chef je uitzwaait. Hele, hele fijne ploeg die ervoor zorgt dat het hele plaatje klopt. Het eten is fantastisch. Nog nooit zo lekker gegeten. En dan zo'n team in de zaal erbij... Dat zorgt voor magie op en naast het bord. Een echte aanrader!!
