What a terrible situation this has become! You order your standard dish, which you always order with extra sauce, and then you get it without it. And then they cleverly hand-written it on the bag itself: "You can order the sauce separately from us! Enjoy :)." I always got the extra sauce separately (it was written in the notes), and they never made a fuss. I called them and asked why they didn't just let me know by phone. A simple phone call, and I simply added the sauce and paid at the door, no problem. But one of THE MANAGER'S didn't think this was necessary, and when I told him I always got it, even this year, he said I was lying... so he just called me a liar... and then he added: "I don't think the way you're talking to me is normal." What a joke those managers are. They know nothing about customer service. And absolutely nothing about communication. They're not solution-oriented and think they're the best. Later, I opened the box of food and found that there was barely any sauce on it, and the food was cold. This location in Papendrecht is absolutely not recommended. Things had gone wrong before, but they were always resolved promptly, but now with those two young managers, it's a truly terrible place. They're a loyal customer, at least. Never again!

Just awful. We paid about 30€ for a mixed grill and received this. A small portion. Delivery was quite fast, about 30 minutes.

The delivery was good, the food was almost cold, half the order was missing, it was paid in full, I responded immediately but of course there was no reaction and this happens so often I think this is how they fill their pockets by regularly not including products that have been paid for, so Schaap can drive around in a cool Porsche.

Ordered food delivery... everything mixed up, food practically cold, lukewarm, paper bags covered in mess and grease, croquette missing, paid 34 euros for a mess, did get some compensation, but the fun quickly goes out of it on your birthday...

Calling with a question because you get something different than what's described on the website. You definitely shouldn't have any contact with the "manager" Jona. What an antisocial way to speak to customers. Then they hang up and don't answer again.

I ordered food for my husband's birthday. They kindly included two cupcakes for the birthday boy. The food was delicious and arrived on time!

Ordered through Thuiszorgd on Tuesday, July 29th. They couldn't deliver the shakes I could order with it. The money was supposed to be refunded, €9.90. After a week, still nothing, so I called. The owner said he would look into it. Now, three days later, still nothing in my account. He's still looking into it. I only received the receipt with the order. Can I order on a note next time and pay two weeks later?

Had to wait a long time for the food, an hour and a half. And then they were all so rude. Just a heads-up, make sure you correct your address in the future. I was on the other side of Papendrecht. What a load of rubbish, he was simply late. A "k" (address) was used instead of "ck" (back). It's a good thing my daughter answered the door. But we'd already called to see where it was... so yeah, we'll never order from here again. What a terrible company... the food was cold, too, yuck, yuck, and it's not that cheap either!!!

Ordered food at 5:00 PM, supposed to be delivered as soon as possible. It said 6:00 PM and arrived after 7:00 PM. I called, had to wait two hours, and then the food arrived. Cold, soggy fries, the mushroom truffle cream sauce that was ordered with the pork tenderloin wasn't included, and two applesauce, one fries sauce, and corn on the cob butter were missing. When I called to say we were busy, I got the answer: "Yes, they're busy." When I asked if they were still going to deliver, they said yes, but it's very far from us. I don't think that's my problem; they could have delivered right away. A phone call or email said it would take less than an hour instead of "as soon as possible/1 hour," so I had to wait two hours. Then they arrived, cold, soggy, and incomplete. Unfortunately, this happens more often. We used to order from them often, but never again.

We ordered and after an hour and a half still hadn't received anything, only the third time. I find it really awful. How can you run a restaurant with such poor service? Never again. Learn from this.

Cold mixed fries, grilled, tasteless

Since the restaurant moved from Dordrecht to Papendrecht, the quality and service has really decreased. Portions are a lot smaller, food has become more expensive and pieces of meat are sometimes good and sometimes burnt. There is no bottom line in quality unfortunately. 2.5 stars is the correct rating

Order took 2 hours, so I called to see where it was. There was still work to be done! (Sick AND busy) #sigh #letpeopleknow! Going to get it yourself was the alternative they offered. When I get there, it had to be started! Wtf. Eventually I got everything in my hands, almost forgot about the drinks, and went home. 10 minutes later at home, the fries were already lukewarm. Tenderloin was fine. But yes, we secretly forgot to give our starter, carpaccio. He could stay there and I asked for my money back. (3-5 business days and it should be refunded) All in all I couldn't enjoy the food.

After almost 3 hours of ordering (mixed grill, among others) burnt chicken and satay, the only thing that was warm was the fries, quite impressive for burnt products. ordered via Uber, requested an update after 2 hours, after the rest of the time the status was almost ready, after calling it was already in the oven and it would be there soon and it took another 30 minutes. Last time I ordered, I had to wait more than an hour, but at least the food was tasty. Considering the normal costs, quality and duration, there will be no next time.

Ordered bear skewers and received them in about 30 minutes. that's OK but these skewers WERE NOT EATABLE? I think it's old stuff, it looks like RUBBER ON A SKEWER and that for € 17.50, REALLY NO VALUE FOR YOUR MONEY!!!!!! Really way too expensive for 2 sticks of ROTZOOI with some fries and peanut sauce in an oversized thimble.

Good evening, For these bears, home delivery by home delivery is a drama, waiting more than 110 minutes to receive the food. Downright a drama and when you call you get a non-service oriented answer. Drama all the way through.

Tried twice, unfortunately both times more than 1.5 hours of waiting time, then called, but service is really below standard, we will not order from here anymore!

Almost 1 hour late, the salad for almost 5 euros turns out not even to be included. Reported to the delivery person. Heard nothing more. Meat was medium but lukewarm, fries were good but jacket potato was a boiled potato in foil. No cream or anything added. Quantity is meager. Large order collected, nothing but praise! All menus were individually packed in a large box; meat, fries & sauce in box also packed separately, indicated on top of the box what is in it. Very bad. Paid for a bowl of fries with shrimp and delicious sauce. There was no sauce, there were only 4 small shrimps. Delivery took 1 hour and 15 minutes. Much too long in my opinion. Fries were just cold, for both people. Later I called the bears and they asked what they could do, I asked for compensation but they didn't do that. “They will pass it on to the chef in the kitchen” first and last time for me.

Ordered nacho cheese. Biggest mistake you can order from De Beren Papendrecht. Literally just tortilla chips with a little salsa sauce and frozen guacamole. Literally waited almost an hour for something that wasn't actually worth it.

Food was delivered at the agreed time. However, the order was incomplete and after telephone contact the missing dish would be delivered. It concerned an appetizer which we ultimately canceled (after an hour and fifteen minutes of not having been delivered and of calling again (it had been delivered to the wrong people)). Then the food itself. Satay itself was good, but four sticks only had a drop of sauce. The spareribs were lukewarm and there was not much sauce with them either. The chicken pieces were also way overcooked. The fries and mixed raw vegetables (didn't look fresh) were not tasty and we immediately threw them away. This was the last time for us. Price/quality is hard to find.

Wrong delivery for the 2nd time and then promise to refund the difference in money but don't. This ensures that we no longer spend our money here.

Ordered from Beren Papendrecht for the first time today. How bad it was. The winter stew was really nothing. Way too small a pot and really no red cabbage to be found. Delivery time over 90 minutes. No, we will never order from here again!

Ordered here for the first time, and the last time. The winter stew of 17.50 was really not worth it. Waiting more than an hour and a half for many small portions of food. Still hungry afterwards. Really not recommended. Next time, order from Melini or taste catering again. At least you get enough food for your money there.

Ordered for the first time from the Beren in Papendrecht, previously always in Dordrecht. It is noticeable that the portions are much smaller, or at least they seem... Is that possible!? Winter stew doesn't amount to much, even a bit sad in terms of quantity. Never been hungry after a bear dish, but now I am... The chicken fillet menu was reasonable, but certainly not filling. The food is always good, but every time you have to call where it is and then it is the next order or it has just left the door. That has happened at least 3 times in a row now. It's no longer credible.

At 6:38 PM you get a call that it will take another 20 minutes (not the first time) then your order will arrive 45 minutes later! Ordered 2 carpaccio and they were picked up on time, but it was still completely frozen. We had to let it thaw before we could eat it.

Order here almost weekly when we don't feel like cooking. Food is always hot and tastes good. Something went wrong on occasion, but it was resolved quickly and efficiently. Today they were a little late in delivering, but they did receive 2 ice creams right away. That's the most important thing; Where people work, something can go 'wrong', but how it is dealt with is what counts. And that always goes well here! There is also often a friendly lady at the cash register when you pick up your order. We are satisfied customers!

Placed an order on August 26, ribeye seasonal dish. This was still quite raw and I decided not to eat it and also not to call. Completed a survey on beren.nl and was quickly called by the bears. The agreement was to refund money if we did order again, but so far we have not received anything and they will therefore not receive an order from me. A deal is a deal..

Since the opening of the Beren Papendrecht, we and our circle of friends have ordered here regularly. It seems like the service and quality goes down the longer they exist. It also seems that they cannot fully cope with the pressure, we regularly hear that it is busy and there are sick people. Of course, this may all be true, but at least maintain contact with your customers if you cannot deliver what you promise or offer something extra as a service instead of saying sorry. We don't buy anything for this. Ordered today at 6:40 PM and the order would be delivered at approximately 7:30 PM. Unfortunately, it is long, but it is busy and you will of course only see the delivery time once you have already paid. Called at 7:55 PM asking how or what. It's busy, they are now processing your order, you will have it within fifteen minutes, we were told. It is finally delivered at 8:35 PM, almost two hours later and this is becoming increasingly common due to their own claims of busyness and illness. To top it all off, the fries were also cold, they could have been added!! It seems to us that de Beren Papendrecht is mismanagement if you want to deal with customers in this way. This was the last straw for us and our circle of friends and we will not order from here again, fortunately there are plenty of alternatives. De Beren will not notice much in terms of income from these more than 10 fewer customers, but if they continue like this, it will add up. *Owner, we do not need a standard response to our findings from you as several others have received before us, that means so little. Instead, take action and improve your management for the customers who continue to order.

Another delicious meal tastes good

Yesterday I ordered 2 menus. Raw food was nasty. Musty taste. The sauce container had opened. Everything was sticky because of this. I wasn't used to this.

I believe that if you eat in the restaurant, the portion of spare ribs will be larger than if you have it delivered at home, and in my opinion the chicken satay is also less than if you eat in the restaurant.

Our food arrived half an hour late... Was cold... And my corn on the cob was missing... Very disappointed

Picked up for the first time. Recommended. Everything very neatly and functionally packaged. Quality properly. When we get home everything is still nice and warm. All in all a delicious meal. 👍👍👍👍👍
