The food was good, but for the third time in a row we asked for pepper sauce instead of mayonnaise, but we did not receive it after consultation, but it was removed from the bill.

We regularly eat at De Beren in Zwijndrecht, including on Christmas Day. It was excellent again! Despite being busy, we didn't have to wait too long for our food. The waitresses worked incredibly hard. The food was also delicious!

My wife and I went out to De Beren. The advance reservation was quickly arranged. The intranet was good, and we were escorted to our seats. Drinks were quickly ordered, and we also immediately ordered a sandwich with spreads. It took a while before it was served, and then we had to wait even longer for our order to be taken. The serving time took a long time, too long, in fact. During our meal, the temperature in the restaurant gradually decreased, and it even got colder. When we commented on this to the waitstaff, they told us they were feeling warm because of the crowd. We noticed that things weren't going smoothly. When we tried to order dessert, it turned out they weren't in stock because it hadn't been delivered to De Beren. That's possible, but all in all, the evening didn't quite go as expected. So we ordered a different dessert and an extra drink to warm things up a bit. Although the dishes were delicious, the overall experience was somewhat disappointing. We headed home, feeling a bit cold, to a nice, warm place.

After 1.5 hours, still no main course. The staff collects empty glasses but doesn't ask if you want another drink. Empty plates remain on the table for a very long time.

After waiting an hour, I finally received the menu. The new Christmas menu was €13 more expensive, half of which was taken off. After half the table had already finished their appetizers, the other half didn't receive theirs. We had to wait a very long time for the dishes. The portions were very small, some dishes lacked flavor, and there was no salt, spices, or sauce whatsoever. Orders were taken incorrectly, and many dishes were out of stock. Very sloppy!

Things aren't going well; they're trying to be a restaurant these days. Price-wise, they're right 😞 The service is usually okay, but they're trying to fix the mistakes. Often the food is wrong, cold, and not served promptly. It's always something. Last time, they even ran out of rum, which I find quite impressive. It's a real shame, and it's not unique to this beer. I used to enjoy going there, but it's becoming less and less enjoyable.

The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was cozy and Christmas-themed. Our server was very friendly. Her colleague didn't appreciate her as much because she criticized her to us?! We would definitely come back🥰.

A very atmospheric restaurant decorated for Christmas. We were served a delicious and excellent 4-course meal. The portions were more than sufficient. The hospitality and friendliness of the staff were outstanding. The restaurant is definitely recommended and we will definitely return. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the dishes. The staff was very professional and attentive.

Dear Beren Zwijndrecht team! You've given a nice response to my review, but why do they promise to contact me, but they don't? Even when I call, they say they'll call back! Unfortunately, that doesn't happen either. 😭 Only promise things you can deliver! The food is very greasy! The fries are refried several times. If you want diarrhea, eat here! I can guarantee you'll get it! We all had stomach problems after our meals. Filing a complaint is pointless. Nothing is done about it. I'll never go back!

When booking, I asked if they had a quiet spot available since my girlfriend was post-COVID. They were very accommodating and went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The service was very friendly! And the price-quality ratio is excellent, definitely recommended.

We thought the food was excellent. There's also a play area for younger children. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Even though it was busy, you couldn't tell. The atmosphere among the staff and in the restaurant was pleasant. We highly recommend it.

A meager, lukewarm meal was delivered. Satay was undercooked and lukewarm with little sauce. A small bag of fries was included. The first and last time I ordered. Very little food for a lot of money.

We had a wonderful evening, delicious food and fantastic service. At 6:00 PM, we decided to dine there with 12 people, and they had plenty of room in a nearly private area. The dog was also welcome and had a lovely spot. We arrived at 7:30 PM, no matter how late it was. The staff were almost all gone, but they were very attentive and friendly. It was a fantastic place.

I recently used the social deal with my work. It was super fun and delicious. The food was a lot! They gave us good advice to order fewer fries. We saw the menu with delicious cocktails and mocktails back then. So, last Saturday, we spontaneously went to De Beren again. They had a blast and said they'd like to do this every Saturday night 😀. A huge success! We'll be heading to Beekse Bergen soon with our gift of the Beren socks 😉!

The staff was also very friendly and polite. Especially Siw, our hostess and waitress, was truly fantastic. She was very polite, helpful, knowledgeable about food and drinks, and made sure we never went dry or left empty glasses on the table. It was truly wonderful! We'll definitely be back!

Great restaurant. I was amazed by the staff. It's often a bit short, but here we received a friendly and hospitable welcome. Our daughter received a coloring page and pencils. When ordering, we were asked if our daughter's food could come first. There was a lot of interaction with our daughter. After enjoying an ice cream in a bear cup, a staff member came over with genuine interest to ask if she could rinse the cup so we could put it clean in our bags. After paying the bill, the woman was surprised that we left a tip and thanked us. The food was good, the restaurant was clean and modern, but the overall experience was truly fantastic.

The food was good. Prices are rising enormously everywhere, so here too, but charging €5 for a coke or a beer seems absurd to me.

The food was delicious and the service was excellent and friendly. The three of us had a wonderful meal, and it deserves a compliment. I really enjoyed the Tournedos, and that alone deserved a solid 10. The only downside is that for two people, you only get one small bowl of fries, even though it says you get free fries with every main course. Otherwise, it's just good and enjoyable.

I had chicken satay with peanut sauce, and the peanut sauce was literally jelly. I ate it and woke up the next day (night) puking. I still think it was the chemical jelly. Because of the bears, I couldn't go to Roxy Dekker's!!!!

What a beautiful restaurant inside! From the outside, you wouldn't expect it to be that way. As soon as you walk in, it's literally a surprise how spacious and inviting it is. The decor, lighting, and details are beautiful. The music is definitely not bad. My daughter and I were able to sing along to everything from the 70s to the 00s. The staff was super friendly, and also to my daughter. We will definitely be back.

Definitely worth repeating as so often

A really lovely and beautiful establishment, especially if you enjoy a beautiful view while dining al fresco. Delicious, affordable food, unlimited on some evenings (they come by before it runs out to replenish it), free parking, close to the A16 exit, and delicious desserts!

When I eat at the bears it is always satay because it is always the same good quality. For the first time I had fries with truffle. 👍 downside is playing children who were running through the store.

NEVER AGAIN VIA HOME DELIVERY Waited a good hour and a half for 3 cold dishes. In the end, part of the order was also missing. The umpteenth time that De Beren disappoints via Home Delivery. Unfortunately. This was the last time for me.

Unfortunately I have to give a star to write a review. Received my online order today. Fries were hard and brown, seemed fried twice? Chicken pieces were bricks. Contacted via fb but I have to call even though I indicated I could not call. Service is also pathetic. Unfortunately no more bears. I ate the satay and unfortunately what I was afraid of, stomach ache.

After a long time I decided to enjoy a meal from De Beren the old-fashioned way, and I was really looking forward to the famous Berenburger. Unfortunately I was very disappointed. The burgers have become so small that I can literally make two of these ‘Berenburgers’ with one hamburger from the Jumbo. Unfortunately it didn’t stop there. We also ordered a pork tenderloin, but it was so dry that it was really inedible. And the fries? They were rock hard, you could knock someone out with them. For an order of €60 you expect quality, not scandalously bad food. The picture on the menu suggests a full, juicy burger and a tasty meal, what we got was the opposite. The delivery quality has deteriorated considerably, and I feel downright robbed. No more De Beren for me. This was really the last time.

This is what satay looks like nowadays. The other portion of satay had no sauce at all. Prawn crackers and onions for 1 person are omitted. Pay more and get this? Submitted a complaint but 0 response. Faded glory

On February 22, 2025 we wanted to order from De Bezorgbeer between 6:00 PM and 6:30 PM because of the 1+1 free promotion. To our surprise, the promotion suddenly turned out to have been stopped because it was “too busy”. This was not communicated in advance anywhere, while the promotion was still displayed at that time on platforms such as Thuisbezorgd, but could not be used. The Delivery Bear confirmed by telephone that the promotion had been deliberately launched due to the crowds. This is misleading and not legally allowed. Violation of consumer law (Article 6:193b of the Dutch Civil Code) According to Article 6:193b of the Civil Code (BW), it is an unfair commercial practice if a company withholds essential information or misleads consumers. The promotion was actively advertised without any mention of a possible early termination. By only changing this afterwards, while consumers had already wanted to make a purchase decision based on the promotion, De Bezorgbeer is acting in violation of this article. Offer is binding (Article 6:217 of the Dutch Civil Code) In addition, according to Article 6:217 of the Dutch Civil Code, an offer is legally binding as soon as it is accepted, unless there are clearly communicated conditions that provide otherwise. Since the promotion was still visible on external platforms, this gave the impression that the offer was still valid. Ending the promotion without notice while it was still being displayed represents incorrect and confusing communication to the consumer. De Bezorgbeer was not transparent by suddenly stopping the promotion due to internal pressure, without mentioning this. This is not only disappointing, but also legally questionable. We hope that De Bezorgbeer will deal with promotions more transparently from now on. Consumers must be able to rely on the validity of an offer and not be confronted with arbitrary changes afterwards.

Normally the delivered food is nice and hot, but unfortunately now it was lukewarm.

Last Wednesday my order was delivered after more than 2 hours, I had already called them and it turned out to be a malfunction. Not happy of course, but they couldn't do anything about a malfunction; at most they could have sent a message with the delay, that would have been better. The next day I was very surprised with a large snack box! That is definitely worth repeating, thank you for this wonderful compensation!

Last Saturday I ordered food from the delivery bear with colleagues. We had telephone contact to see if it could really be delivered at 17:45 given our break. We understand that Saturday is a busy day, so we placed the order via Thuisbezorgd at 16:30. And then called again. This was no problem at all. The location is around the corner and is less than a five-minute bike ride. No food at 17:45, it can happen. At 18:00 we called anyway, it was our break after all. The delivery woman could not find the address, we did our best to explain it. We gave the address to the delivery woman again. At 18:10 we called the delivery bear herself. They indicated that the address was Plantagepad, even though we had clearly indicated Plantageweg. In Thuisbezorgd you can see that we really did give the correct address. After several times of contact, we were told around 6:30 that it would take at least another fifteen minutes. Then our food would be cold and our break would be over. According to the restaurant, the delivery lady had felt??? and our food was still warm. We cancelled the order and expect our money back within three working days. Later that evening, we called the bears to see if we could really expect our money, and told our story. No apology or compensation from the bears. The problem was blamed on us and no compassion at all. In the end, we got the same thing we ordered from the bears at Verhage and we had a better and cheaper meal too. For us, never again delivery bear.

Ordered Loaded nacho chips, get a bowl of chips with sauce. After contact it was resolved nicely.

Ordered the loaded pulled pork nachos. Well it wouldn't do it. We got a bowl of tortilla chips with a few chunks of meat. No cheese, no toppings, nothing. After a phone call, after some negotiation, they politely apologized and brought new nachos. Unfortunately it was now a bowl of nachos again with chunks of meat and a lot of BBQ sauce. Not good.

Food was very good as always here. But this was the last time. Having to pay over 24 euros for two very small skewers of satay, 3 pieces of chicken per stick, with 1 spoon of peanut sauce, fries and some bread to break is really not normal anymore. I really understand that things are more expensive, but offering food like this is really scandalous. When I look at it that way, it was worth 12 euros at most. This is a shame, but it's really crazy. This is the wrong way to make or save money.

Hello, I called the weekend to place an order and was told in a very RUDE manner that no telephone orders are accepted during the weekend. When I indicated that there are also people who do not have mobile phone or internet, that was not his problem!, very service-oriented and very businesslike. You understand that the bears get the f*ck.

Ordered food for 6 people at 4:00 PM so that it would arrive on time. Delivery time was 6:45 PM. Just call at 7:15 PM. Oh, sorry was the response, your receipt fell on the floor after printing. Expected delivery time 45 minutes. Compensation was a brownie (which we all don't like) Very sloppy and the solution was substandard. Wij bestellen vanuit Sliedrecht weleens om daar af te halen. Zit altijd goed verpakt dus ook bij thuiskomst is alles nog goed warm. Gewoon altijd prima eten. (Jammer dat je voor afhaal niet voor de tomatensoep kunt kiezen, dat zou echt een hele mooie aanvulling zijn.)

In tegenstelling tot de restaurants van de beertjes , is de bezorg beer wel lekker. Super snel geleverd en het Eten was goed op temperatuur en smakelijk. Al diverse keren besteld maar nog niet teleurgesteld.

Door storing erg laat bezorgd en tel nr niet bereikbaar. Manager belde netjes om uit te leggen en stuurde Ben and Jerry's ijs. Dat is netjes. Het eten was goed
