Het Develpaviljoen in Wijk 04 Heer Oudelands Ambacht

Last night we had dinner at Boathouse, a place we regularly and enjoy eating out. Last night, the atmosphere and experience were lacking, which turned into irritation. We reserved a table outside on the terrace two days before. The table was taken because two people had walked past despite the sign saying you'll be shown to your table. The Boathouse management didn't consider it necessary to put a "reserved" sign on it. Eventually, the terrace was extended so we could sit on a round bench by the water. It was fantastic, and the young man who was new was incredibly friendly and attentive. We had rosé and made our choice and shared it with them. We arrived at our table at 6:00 PM, the starter at 6:45 PM, and the main course at 7:45 PM. Something had gone wrong with the tables. Dessert was a brownie, which was beautifully presented, but so hard you couldn't pierce it with a fork. We had a €49 menu, which also included fries. It wasn't worth it. I went home with a bad feeling; that's not how we know Boathouse. There were a lot of new young people working the tables, who really didn't see beyond their own tables. Sadly, Boathouse is no longer around for a while.

We thoroughly enjoyed the three-course meal tonight. The friendly and helpful staff/owners do everything they can to create a safe, pleasant atmosphere, which is especially helpful with our son who has CF. The portions are generous and delicious, and the location looks beautiful. Thank you so much for this carefree evening; we had a wonderful time and will definitely be back!

Last weekend we had a barbecue, and the food (except for the nachos) was mediocre. They served small pieces of steak, pre-cooked chicken satay, a burger, and a small sandwich to share among four people (each person only got one small piece!). The upside is that they have a beautiful location, but I don't think we'll want another barbecue; maybe just lunch.

We had a lovely lunch with a birthday girl, an elderly aunt. The young man who was in charge of our tables was friendly and jovial, but also had a good sense of providing pleasant service to the predominantly elderly guests. 👍👍

Now eaten there 3 times, lunched 2 times and had dinner once. Unfortunately, it has always been just not good all those times. Very tasteless and very little choice for lunch. The foccacia chicken was very poorly topped and more dry bread than taste. The dessert, the blondie, also seemed very tasty to me, but I don't know what it was, but not a blondie and unfortunately tasteless again. The service was very nice but a bit forgetful.

We chose the Develpaviljoen for my 50th birthday party. From the first to the last contact everything went great. On the evening itself everything was well arranged, friendly staff. Plenty of drinks and snacks.

Had a nice Mother's Day brunch. There was a delicious soup that was served beforehand. After this there was a buffet with cold and hot side where there was more than enough choice for everyone. And at the end, a delicious dessert was served.

I thought the food was delicious, but it's a pity that this restaurant doesn't have a cheese board with, for example, port or px

Boathouse is een van onze favoriete plekken in Zwijndrecht om lekker te eten. We komen hier graag en voelen ons altijd welkom. Het eten is keer op keer heerlijk en de sfeer is ontspannen en gastvrij. Wat het extra bijzonder maakt, is dat we vaak aan onze vaste tafel zitten – een klein detail dat het gevoel van thuiskomen versterkt. De service is vriendelijk en attent, en het personeel doet echt moeite om het je naar de zin te maken. Kortom, Boathouse is wat ons betreft een echte aanrader. Of je nu komt voor een diner met z’n tweeën of een gezellige avond met vrienden of familie: je zit hier altijd goed!

We chose The Devel Pavilion for our wedding party and celebrated it in the Vijverzaal. Large enough for a party with buffet dinner for 50-55 people. We went through the planning or distance (we live in Taiwan) and agreed with Saskia and that went very well. Saskia helpful with ideas and flexible. In addition, she had a good sense of what we wanted. The price was reasonable, especially since the food was of good quality. The service and handling were more than adequate and customer-oriented. All very pleasant. We look back on a great party, partly thanks to the good care of the Develpaviljoen team!

Had Sunday brunch here in the boathouse for the first time. The food offered was reasonable to good. Could take what you wanted and as much as you wanted. Unfortunately that was not the case with the delicious dessert. This was neatly brought to the table and stayed at one time. Service was perfect and very polite

Fine dining and/party occasion! Recently enjoyed a Christmas brunch, worth repeating. We also enjoyed an excellent meal with (voluntary) staff two years ago. Good, friendly staff!

Met 2 oud collega’s heerlijk gegeten in Boathouse 078. Mooie gerechten. Ongedwongen sfeer. Vriendelijk personeel. Prima prijs kwaliteit verhouding. Al met al een groot succes. Tot de volgende keer!

Restaurant verzorgde voor ons een uitstekend buffet. Personeel heel gastvrij en gemoedelijk, verder een uitstekende gelegenheid voor een grotere groep (35+) om een feestelijk diner te houden.

It's our favorite restaurant, just plain good

Last week we enjoyed the table BBQ at this restaurant and we can definitely recommend it. The staff were extremely friendly and provided clear explanations of what we could expect from the BBQ experience. There was sufficient variety in the range of meat, bread and salads, which made the meal a nice change. The diamond tenderloin and the burgers in particular were very tasty and well prepared. However, the chicken satay was a bit disappointing; we found it a little less tasty. A nice extra was the large bowl of fries that we received, together with a delicious peanut sauce. This gave the meal an extra dimension. The location is also a big plus: the restaurant is beautifully situated on the water, which creates a relaxing atmosphere while eating. All in all, a successful experience, with good value for money and an atmosphere that invites you to stay longer. Whether you come with friends or family, this is definitely recommended for those who enjoy a pleasant meal in a beautiful setting. We will definitely come back here again!

Nice buffet. Good taste. Seating not great. Sitting on a long couch is difficult when eating from a buffet. Fellow guests must eat at the same pace or interrupt the meal because you have to fill the plate yourself.

Had lunch here this afternoon with my wife and daughter, but unfortunately it was disappointing. There was dust around the board that you could easily wipe away with your finger; even the waitress was silent for a moment when she saw it. The children's menu also included old fruit that I would not eat myself, let alone give to my child. In addition, we paid 8 euros for two fries with mayo and we received a very small portion, certainly not in relation to the price. This was the last time for us.

Went for dinner with 6 people on Thursday, October 10, for my daughter's 21st birthday. What a bad aftertaste we are left with this evening. When we arrived the heater still had to be turned on. It was really cold. We could get a blanket. The BBQ had to be replaced 3 times because it always did not turn on properly. The cobwebs were hanging from the ceiling and bbq But the worst was the meat the steak was on the chicken. The burgers tasted like the sole of a shoe was so disgusting. Two small bowls of fries for 6 people, there was more peanut sauce than fries. No service in sight, we hardly have any meat on it, it's so dirty. I complained to the staff and the response was "sorry to hear". I would say keep it up if you don't want to have any more customers.

We had a vegetarian burger. This was really not prepared well. Very unfortunate. The staff was nice and the place is very nice on the water.

Reserved a high tea for four people on Sunday. Things were pretty crazy around us with birthdays and baby showers, so we weren't the only ones with the idea. Hot and cold snacks were served separately. They regularly ask if you want any tea water, and you can even order coffee without paying extra. But: a very large etagère was placed on the table (not convenient in terms of space and not exactly pleasant to talk to your group through a rack). The waitress went through it quickly, because she had no idea what was actually on the table. We soon discovered that one of the tea glasses had broken glass splinters, which was responded to quite light-heartedly without apologies. The chicken sandwich topping covered about 1/5 of the bread. And not all snacks are available in multiples, sometimes there were 3 or 2-for-2 (sausage roll suddenly had curry?). And if you ask for tea water a third time, they will take the jug with them, but not come back with it. After asking several staff members, we finally got the water. Probably a hint that we should leave the table. All in all okay, but not recommended.

Celebrated my 60th birthday with 15 people. Everyone thought it was a nice restaurant and we had a delicious meal. The service was top notch.

We had high tea with 5 people. The service in particular was top notch. We had a very relaxed seat, and even though the high tea package lasts 2.5 hours, we did not have to pay for the tea and decaf latte macchiatos that we ordered up to two hours later! Very neat. The staff was very friendly and they regularly checked if we wanted fresh tea, coffee or something else.

Het was de bedoeling om een diner te hebben in lunchtijd dus van 1230 -1600 uur. Da’s uitstekend gelukt. Het is een heerlijk shared diner geworden met 20 personen. Complimenten voor de keuken en ook onze gastvrouw Yvonne. Wij kunnen dit iedereen aanbevelen.

We got married here on May 11, 2023. The location was beautiful, everything was beautifully in bloom. Everything for our wedding was arranged down to the last detail and we didn't have to worry about anything. We are very grateful to the develpavilion and its employees for their efforts and making our wedding run smoothly. We experienced a 3-course dinner (shared dining) and it was delicious. We highly recommend the develv pavilion if you are looking for one. Party location, event location or of course a nice snack and drink.

Als afsluiting van het jaar hebben we hier als bedrijf een zogeheten ''Winter BBQ'' gehad. Het Develpaviljoen heeft ons hierin compleet ontzorgd én verzorgd. Er waren oudhollandse spellen aanwezig, lekker eten, vriendelijke bediening. Kortom we hebben genoten van een avond met onze collega's!

Een hele goede ervaring met ons dinertje in the Boathouse 078. Ontvangst hartelijk en adequaat. Bediening was over de hele avond uitstekend attent en vriendelijk. De kwaliteit van het eten was zeer goed. Ik had een hertenbiefstukje en herten draadjesvlees. Geserveerd met prima aansluitende groenten. Mijn partner had een hazenpeper die ook van goede kwaliteit was. De wijn (Malbec) was eveneens van prima kwaliteit. Het dessert was een verrassing. Eén keertje geen bekende nagerechten, maar nieuwe creaties, die ons best bevielen. Kortom, wij hebben genoten.

In de zomer hier een arrangement voor tafelbarbecue genomen. Het was echt heerlijk en een nieuw concept voor ons. Super goede service en kwaliteit vlees. We zaten aan het water, wel overdenkt gelukkig. Super uitzicht!

Erg leuke locatie met een goede sfeer. Personeel is professioneel en er heerst een goede werksfeer die af te lezen is aan hun werkhouding naar elkaar toe. Zaal was precies goed met juiste akoestiek en schoon sanitair. Ik raad iedereen aan om hier te kijken wanneer ze een zaaltje willen huren. Erg leuke en goede belevenis. Walter en Lot jullie waren top.

Na een bezoekje gebracht te hebben aan de Kiboe hoeve, dachten we kom laten we gezellig naar het Devel Paviljoen gaan. Boathouse .....nou gezellig ontvangen werden we niet. Jammer, want na een drankje zouden we daar óók nog wat gaan eten. Ging dus niet door vanwege het feit dat niet de gehele bestelling werd gebracht. Namelijk de munt thee was niet warm èn de appeltaart punt werd gepresenteerd nadat de koffie tot een slokje na leeg was. Niet gepast dus. Voorlopig komen we daar niet meer....echt een teleurstelling. Het had anders gekunt. Gastvrouw mag best vriendelijker haar gasten ontvangen. Zo!! Mijn hart is gelucht.
