Bickel Beer in Houten Buitengebied

Went to Houten for dinner today and it was delicious again. Instead of satay, I had spare ribs. I'll definitely be ordering them again; they were delicious. Many compliments to the kitchen and staff.

It certainly hasn't improved. The service is terrible. The schnitzel wasn't cooked through, but it was greasy and soggy. So we returned it to the kitchen. The children's menu is meager and way overpriced. So disappointing that "Bickel Beer" is no longer an option for us. Good luck with the new formula!

As of January 1st, a few things have changed, and not for the better. Prices have increased and menus have been reduced. Among other things, no more thick fries and only one portion of fries per two people (so no longer on your plate). Furthermore, the pictures are nicer than what you get. For example, the chocolate coffee you get is clearly a "stripped-down version" of the one on the menu. Bickel Beer could do much better!

In April 2023, we celebrated a party at Bikkelbeer Houten. 33 people ENJOYED a fantastic and delicious, extensive lunch. Everything was perfectly organized. Nothing was lacking. The owner himself proactively helped us (in advance). This, among other things, resulted in a nice, cozy corner in the restaurant. Thanks in part to this, I can look back on a successful day! 😄🥳

Good food but service could be better

We ate delicious (unlimited) spare ribs again. The techyen from the regular menu are also very tasty!
