Grandma never disappoints!! The carpaccio is excellent, and the service is also very friendly. Tonight, we were helped by Isabelle, who served the entire restaurant single-handedly. Hats off!

We had a delicious steak, truly excellent! The entire three-course dinner was delicious! Very tasty. I've read about long wait times everywhere, but we didn't experience any issues at all!

At Opoe, you can enjoy a delicious steak cooked to your specifications. Pair it with the fine wine served at just the right temperature, and savor the experience as it should be. Oh, and the staff is always super friendly.

We waited 45 minutes to order. There was a 5-minute gap between the main course and the appetizer. The server took the order for the table next to us, went on to order their drinks and appetizers, and then took orders for the next table. They can usually take orders from multiple tables in succession. This way, no one has to wait 45 minutes to order.

Service was incredibly slow. We waited half an hour to order. An hour for our food. The people next to us waited even longer. It's a shame because the food was excellent. We'll eat somewhere else next time.

Very mediocre. The staff doesn't know the dishes by heart. I asked which beer was currently available. The weizen, which one? I asked, and they said the regular one. They don't ask how you want your steak. All the steaks were very dry and overcooked.

Although the service is extremely friendly, the food and wine leave much to be desired. The promised hefty 2-ounce pork tenderloin satay with garnish is nothing more than two meager skewers of meat and a small heaping jar of sweet and sour sauce. The obviously microwaved pepper sauce is also from a can. The white Sauvignon Blanc still has a crisp flavor and is poured sparingly. The red Rioja we order later is the same one Albert Heijn sells. Disappointing.

Vriendelijke mensen maar… afzuiging is echt waardeloos als je binnenloopt loop je tegen een muur van boterwalm aan. Je kleding stinkt gelijk. Onduidelijke kaart waarop alles extra blijkt bij afrekenen, zelfs de friet. Verder ossenhaas was droog en niet echt lekker. Kortom werk aan de winkel. Gr Frank van Putten

A lovely and cozy bistro restaurant with a great menu, something for everyone, excellent service, and a delicious meal. Good value for money, plenty of food, everything fresh and clean, a pleasantly busy atmosphere but a good flow. We've truly added a lovely spot to our favorites list. Besides the delicious appetizer (we had a freshly baked, warm baguette served on a wooden board with a bowl of fresh herb butter and homemade garlic sauce), the drinks were perfectly cold (some other restaurants put their drinks in the refrigerator too late, but here they know how to serve the customer: because that's what restaurants do: create added value). For the main course, we had a pan-fried schnitzel and my partner had the satay. Both were excellent! Carefully prepared, the schnitzel was deliciously breaded (almost all the food here is homemade anyway!), the satay was wonderfully marinated, and the plates were decorated with grilled vegetables. We both opted for artisan fries (which were fried to perfection). The homemade mayonnaise and the attentive waiter who came by several times to ask if we wanted anything else to drink and if everything was to our liking made the evening complete. He knew the menu by heart and even offered wine recommendations (heard at the neighbor's table). Overall, our opinion of this place is: fan-tas-tic! If you want a good dinner in a cozy setting, or are in the area and still need to dine, this is the place! The entire service was excellent (extremely professional, despite his young age), and we had a wonderfully relaxed meal. I think we spent €56 in total, so it was excellent.

Sits almost on top of each other. Food is good, but not outstanding. Small portion size with possibility to order extra for free is nice.

A household name in the Old Village of Houten for 25 years. Cozy restaurant, with honest dishes for a fair price. We came here when our kids were small and now 10-15 years later it is still highly recommended.

Not as affordable as before and I don't think a snietzel from the deep fryer is suitable for a restaurant. Otherwise a great tent..

Delicious food at Opoe Spronk's every time. Friendly service and a top chef with a heart for the business who puts the tastiest dishes on the table. The tender tournedos with pepper sauce is my favorite and the side dishes are incredibly tasty as an extra. Highly recommended!

Had a delicious meal with the four of us. Enjoy a nice chat while enjoying a drink. We each ordered 2 starters, no main course. It was really delicious and enough!!

Opoe Spronk, a cozy bistro. With friendly service. Not for a quick bite. You have to take your time when it's busy. What the chef makes is tasty and real bistro food.

Gezellige ambiance op een druilerige zaterdagavond. We werden vriendelijk ontvangen en direct geholpen, mooie veelzijdige kaart. Vlotte bediening in een niet te bol restaurant. Aanrader, met als aan te bevelen tiramisu als nagerecht.

Had dinner with 5 people tonight. In a homely atmosphere we enjoyed Carpaccio and Trout followed by a tender schnitzel, delicious tournedos and the same Bœuf bourguignon. The homemade Tiramisu completed it all. Enjoy!

Had a delicious meal at Bistro Opoe Spronk last night! Perfect tournedos, duck leg and schnitzel, delicious! Absolutely recommended! The staff was very friendly and it was a great evening for us :) We will definitely come back more often!

Ate with 7 people, of which 2 people were satisfied with their food, the duck breast fillet was more like a duck leg, the meat could hardly be cut, so it was hard to cut, the schnitzels had a good taste, but too thick, and the tounado medium was not medium, the salmon and venison steak were good, please pass this on to the service, something could also be done about the toilets, two of my guests were locked up, and where the toilets are located could be cleaned up, they will not be repeated for us

The goat cheese salad is my favorite. And still so delicious after 10 years.

Wat een gezellige zaak. Ik kom hier zeker nog een keer. Personeel heeft goede kennis van de kaart en eventuele andere opties. Wat ik fijn vind ze zijn lekkere actief met drank verkoop.

Heel lekker drie gangen menu gegeten! Menu is uitgebreid wat betreft eten en drinken. Het personeel is super vriendelijk en professioneel! Sfeer binnen/buiten was erg knus.

Bij Bistro Opoe Spronk hebben wij lekker gegeten. Het menu bied genoeg variatie. Om verspilling tegen te gaan moet je wel de saus, patat, salade etc apart bestellen. Het personeel is vriendelijk. Wij vinden het zeker een aanrader!

Kleinschalig en gezellig bistro restaurant met een goede gevarieerde menukaart en vriendelijke bediening. Prijzen zijn fair voor de porties die je krijgt. Al met al een prima avondje uit eten!

Lekker gegeten. Jammer dat we niet buiten mochten zitten met die warmte. Wel wat klein!

Knusse, gezellige bistro. Heerlijk eten en bediening zeer vriendelijk

We waren hier om 17:00 uur om wat te eten en het was zeker niet druk, maar de bediening had weinig aandacht voor ons. Toen we bijna klaar waren, kwam er nog een serveerster bij; zij had wel meer aandacht voor de gasten. Ze zoeken wel personeel, maar dat lijkt me nu niet het probleem. Het eten was uitstekend, maar de bediening kan dus beter.

Leuk klein restaurant. De trap op naar boven zijn de toiletten en nog wat tafeltjes. Ik eet slakken, helaas te ver doorgegaard. Sommige hadden al verbrande randjes. Jammer. De kalf goed gegaard maar de kaas was nog niet goed gesmolten over het vlees. Wederom jammer. Toilet mag ook een opknapbeurt hebben. De toiletdeksel zit los en mag wel een likje verf hebben. Nee niet wat ik ervan verwacht had gezien een aantal positieve recensies. Dame in de bediening doet haar best.

Gezellige bistro in het oude dorp van Houten. Prima eten en drinken en een vriendelijke bediening met een lach en dat iedere keer dat je er komt

Met 8 personen bij Opoe Spronk gegeten. Voor elk wat wils op de menukaart. De gerechten kwamen keurig gelijk en het smaakte ook erg goed. De bediening was super. Dus voor herhaling vatbaar.

Heerlijk gegeten, entrecôte,leuke bediening en goede achtergrond muziek. Alles klopte. Tot de volgende keer.

Heel gezellig interieur, wij aten beneden. Heel lekker gegeten. Lieve meisjes bij de bediening. Alleen toen er bij het serveren een groot glas latte machiato over ons heen ging was het wel netjes geweest ons een drankje aan te bieden. Wel goed geholpen met schoonmaken en er werd aangeboden als de vlekken er niet uit gingen dat we dat moesten laten weten.

Een klein restaurant, maar met heerlijk eten. We komen hier zeker nog een keer.

Het eten is zeer goed, royale porties, zeer vriendelijke bediening, gezellige inrichting. Gelegen aan een mooi plein in Houten. We gaan hier zeker nog een keer heen.

het is een niet zo groot restaurant en de menu's zijn basic maar o zo lekker ! Johan is een een leuke gastheer en goede kok en de bediening is aardig en als je van te voren meld dat je met een rolstoel komt , maken ze een tafel voor je vrij

super leuke sfeer, lieve, hard werkende mensen en keurig omgegaan met de kleine schoonheidsfoutjes. Eten was harstikke lekker. Alle hoofdgerechten op de kaart zijn aan te raden en niet onbelangrijk: de stoelen zijn erg comfortabel!

Heerlijk gegeten in deze kleine lokale bistro. Gezellige informele sfeer en het eten wordt met liefde bereid.
