Very nice restaurant with friendly staff and delicious food

Great food, good and fast service, and a nice atmosphere. We often stop here for a bite to eat after mountain biking!

A pleasant evening with five people and our dog. Excellent food, with a distinctly Asian touch, delicious drinks, and very attentive service. We'd be happy to return.

Wonderful restaurant for dinner, lunch, or drinks. Fantastic decor! Beautifully located with ample parking. Delicious food and large portions. The tuna is delicious, as is the spicy chicken sandwich. The owners go above and beyond and have truly created something beautiful. Tip: If the staff is on their own lunch break, they should have at least one person walking around, because this time we had to walk over to them to take our order and were told someone was coming.

Hello dear readers, We are very enthusiastic about this restaurant. The food was delicious and also a feast for the eyes. As the saying goes, "What you see is what you get." The ambiance of this restaurant is very well done. Very inviting, and you can have a great conversation. The restaurant and the terrace are also very clean. Now for the food: we had César pasta salad and kibbeling, and everything was perfect. The staff was also very friendly. Keep up the good work. I just have one tip for you: that ice box at the entrance doesn't fit there. Or I could perhaps disguise it. But as I said, we'd love to come back 👍

My wife and I ordered a massive meal. The food was enormous and delicious. My son had pancakes with marshmallows. He, too, was very pleased with the taste. There were also treats for our two dogs. The value for money is excellent. The staff is very friendly. Unfortunately, the hardcore techno music was incredibly annoying in the early morning!

Amazing dinner there. Excellent food with special dishes, generous portions and amazing service, with fair prices (all this at once is hard to find!). We will definitely come back, thank you!

A restaurant on the campsite... Hmm, we thought. We don't need it, we thought. And then we spent a week seeing what was going on there every day. And a menu with so many vegan options, you can't ignore them. And what can we say? It was the best decision for our last evening. Thanks for the fantastic food, it was so flavorful, it completely devoured us (we had to take the rest with us to fit in dessert). We'll definitely be back. To the restaurant. To the campsite. Delicious! Ate breakfast here on Mother's Day. Had fried eggs, bacon, and a pink latte, all was so good! Make a reservation ahead of time, they are popular.

Really nice place with beautiful decor and a cozy atmosphere, where you quickly feel at ease. Even though it was full and we waited 5 minutes for a table, the service was attentive and professional – you didn't feel the rush. The wait was even enjoyed in comfortable lounge furniture. We were four adults, who started with the spinach soup of the day. Then 4 different main courses. Everything was beautifully served and tasty. The menu is not large, but well chosen with fresh ingredients and something for most people. For us, who eat most things, it was actually difficult to choose from the many exciting dishes. I tasted tofu for the first time – beautifully served in a creamy peanut sauce. It was exciting to try, but I must admit that tofu is unlikely to become my favorite dish. Thanks to Bej De Duinen, for arousing my curiosity.

I had a tuna steak. Unfortunately, it was overcooked for my liking. Otherwise, it tasted good. The service was friendly, but I had to proactively ask for cutlery. I didn't want to eat it with my fingers after all :)

Too expensive for the delivered food

I was there 19-06-2025 with family from America. The ladies who served us were very friendly and could handle my English-speaking family very well. We were served quickly and everything was delicious. Despite the hard work, the staff had a smile on their face and took the time to take pictures of us all. For a delicious meal that is more than sufficient, I would definitely go back there when I am in Noordwijk!

We were there for dinner. We had a lovely table by the window. The ambiance was very warm and cozy. The service was excellent. We were well looked after. We all enjoyed the food. It was beautifully presented. The prices were a bit higher. There's a small playground outside for children.

We highly recommend the restaurant. For my birthday, I not only received balloons, but also a "Happy Birthday" serenade from the staff. Thank you for the wonderful moments 🙂

Sorry, but this restaurant is simply not worth the price :-( They also constantly turn people away because they're supposedly handpicked, even though there are 30 free seats the whole evening. The food was okay, but far from great. It's nicely decorated, though, and the staff are very young and nice. Sorry, but anyone who goes there twice must be really desperate.

Update 6-6-2024: Another delicious meal, nice atmosphere in the restaurant and excellent service. Today I tried the chicken noodles and tuna. Both delicious. The tuna was cooked medium. All very good! Had a great meal at Bij de Duinen. Great platter for drinks with sausage, cheeses, nachos and a meatball. A nice tomato soup and then a very good bavette, cooked medium on a bed of vegetables. I would have liked a few more vegetables. Delicious crispy Flemish fries with it! And not a lousy little bowl either. I think that deserves an honorable mention. A cappuccino milkshake for dessert. Everything was served quickly by the young staff. Returned home very satisfied. Nice atmosphere too. I'll come back again.

Nice restaurant. Good quality of food.

Whilst on holiday in the Netherlands we saw the restaurant and thought we'd give it a try. We loved it. We went back a second time despite our lodgings being a 35min drive away. The food and service was excellent. We also loved the freshly made smoothies. Great value for money. Thank you Bij de Duinen for adding to our holiday memories.

Loved our dining experience here. We loved the food that we went twice on our vacation there. Our favorite - boneless ribs and the grilled pork belly. The burger and fish and chips were great too. Service was excellent and place has both indoor and outdoor which is really nice in summer. We didn't have reservation and got lucky, but better to make one.

The atmosphere is very inviting and well-kept. We were there for dinner with 5 people and the service was unfortunately very uncoordinated, slow and overwhelmed. The food was okay to good but the price wasn't right.

Ordered boneless ribs and cod. Surprisingly good quality and creativity on plating the dish. Fresh fish, really good prepared vegetables and also fresh. In this area one of the best comparing to prize and quality. We strongly recommend trying this beautiful restaurant.

Had a very bad experience this evening. I ate here once a few weeks ago and everything was absolutely perfect, so it was a nice idea to celebrate my friend's birthday here because I had such a good experience last time. Nothing turned out to be further from the truth, starting with the rolls beforehand, which were incredibly tough and there was a yellow layer over the aioli (you only get that when something has been there for a long time). Or simply sit uncooled together with the tapanade on the serving counter right next to the heat lamps. Then I said something about it and a little later it was said that the sandwiches could not be warmed up because there was no room in the oven. As a customer, I don't care about that. In the end we were able to do it again and then we got another bowl of cold, chewy rolls. The third time we got warm, crispy rolls (as it should be) but we missed the aioli again. Now on to the main course, the “oh so delicious” boneless ribs that I ate on my previous visit. Well not, because the marinade was missing and the meat had a lot of fat on it and was drowned in fat... and to top it all off, we also received lukewarm fries. I think the cook who carries out the final final check could pay more attention before it is served. - Tough cold sandwiches. - Aioli with a yellow layer on it. - Lukewarm fries. - Spare ribs with fat wings. - Spare ribs floating in a thick layer of fat. - Spare ribs were missing the marinade. Now we were done with it and we reported that we wanted the bill. They wanted to solve the problem by giving the dessert and drinks for free, but how? We haven't even eaten a main course yet! Also when paying, the employee gave a lame excuse that the sandwiches were only baked once in a while and were therefore not warm, which again we don't care about, but we think that is at the expense of the quality and that for a whole €7! Customers pay a lot for this, so you expect fresh, warmly baked sandwiches! In the end I went to the snack bar on my friend's birthday... a really disappointing experience for both me and my friend because today is his birthday. Hopefully we have informed you enough about this crappy experience.

Perfect reception, warm and clear, this young lady knows exactly what and how. Fast operation without errors. The food is nothing special for lunch and the location is on a fairly busy road, but still manageable.

Thanks to the campsite next door, open all day from 9:00 a.m. Also well booked for breakfast. Good coffee. Small selection for dinner, but freshly prepared and very tasty.

Have been here several times, always good. Food fine, and also a drink and bitterbal fine. Only today we wanted to eat something on the terrace. We waited for fifteen minutes but no one came. We left. Advice: keep an eye on the terrace or keep the doors locked. When we left, we told the staff, who were waiting with their hands folded, that we would have something to eat somewhere else after waiting for more than fifteen minutes. Only answer was, okay

Really well located and everything was perfect. Food was great and the staff were friendly. We were there with two children. The only thing that was so nice was that we had to wait a total of 1.5 hours for our food including starters. Guests arrived later and enjoyed their food. This can be organized much better. But there is a German memory card.

We recently had the pleasure of eating at Bij de Duinen restaurant – and it was a fantastic experience! The menu offered a great selection of fresh and tasty dishes. We were particularly impressed by the Iberico ribs. Every meal was a culinary delight! We were also impressed by the price-performance ratio. The portions were generous and the quality of the food absolutely justified the price. The location of the restaurant near the dunes further adds to the special atmosphere. Whether for a relaxing evening or a special meal after a walk – Bij de Duinen is definitely worth a visit. We will definitely come back and can fully recommend this restaurant!

What a great restaurant. Delicious food, friendly staff. It looks great and the staff is not only friendly, but also very attentive and alert. They know how to do it there. Had dinner 2 evenings in a row via the fantastic social deal that is also valid during the weekend. When we are in the area again we will definitely go here again, even without a social deal. Big kudos to everyone who works there.

Nice and cozy. We usually go there for a coffee and apple pie. This is more than fine. No ice cream in the cake. Lunch and dinner are also great.

First review: Parking is easy and free at this newly renovated restaurant. They have a big terrace and spacious restaurant inside as well. The look is modern and you have enough privacy to talk to one and other. We had lunch. It looked nice but lacked a bit in taste. On my clubsandwich I tasted a lot of mayo and some bacon but the egg, tomato and other ingredients did not come through in the taste. I have had better. Same for the lunch of my friends. The ambiance makes up for a lot but I would focus on a nice coffee or juice.

The food was tasty, and the service was attentive and friendly. The blueberry smoothie was a highlight—absolutely delicious and worth trying. Prices are a bit on the higher side, but the quality makes up for it. Unfortunately, the place was very busy and the tables are close to each other so you hear the entire conversation on both tables next to you. Bonus points for the free parking, which is always convenient.

Very nice and comfortably furnished, well-kept restaurant. Food was delicious. Schnitzel didn't have the dimensions that you might be familiar with in Germany (for at least 21 euros) but it was good. It's not primarily about the quantity. With the sea bass, I would have liked another vegetable in addition to the samphire, as the salty samphire was somewhat omnipresent. The mushroom soup as a starter (soup of the day) was great and tasty. All in all a recommended restaurant. Also had a German menu. The waitress also spoke good English. Reservation is easy via the website and recommended. Parking available in front of the restaurant.

We have eaten here before, but this time it was disappointing. Mediocre to poor staff who chat a lot but pay little attention to the guests. We waited 15 minutes and then asked if anyone else was coming. Menu card was very dirty with food remains in between. Food was mediocre, too bad.

Before our holiday week started, we selected a restaurant for each day. The first day was At De Duinen. And so I was here from the second to the last day. Sometimes even twice a day. Why; the atmosphere, the options but especially the friendly staff. Drinking bowls are also being sought for dogs. Menu offers something for everyone for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The kibbeling in particular was of excellent quality.

We recommend making a reservation in the evening, otherwise you may be out of luck in high season or on the arrival days of the surrounding bungalow parks. Everything is right here, excellent food and great service make me happy. As an owner you can be proud of the waiting staff, absolute added value, but I always think what you give as an owner is what you get back. Absolutely recommended!
