Fantastically beautiful place for a cup of coffee or a delicious meal!

A very beautiful little castle, but the Christmas market is large, well-organized, with many stalls, delicious food, music – everything was simply wonderful.

We went during the wonderfully charming Christmas market. We were in a very smoky tent. A central oil heater was smoking heavily, and there was no proper ventilation. It was unbearable, really. Luckily, we were seated on a side. We could unzip a tent canvas for some fresh air. My daughter's schnitzel was blackened on the bottom. It looked like it had been broken and was as tough as cardboard. The waitress was friendly.

It was pleasantly busy because of the Christmas market at the castle. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were there for lunch. They have a very extensive menu. A great spot!

We had a walking dinner last week and received nothing but enthusiastic feedback from the attendees. The food was delicious and the location fantastic. The communication beforehand was also friendly, helpful, and flexible!

After a brisk walk of over 10 km, we were craving a cup of coffee and something sweet. The coffee was fine, but the pastries were very pricey for the quality. We paid a total of over €18. For that price, Hanos frozen pastries could be replaced with delicious fresh pastries from the local bakery. Perhaps a good tip, and good for local businesses.

Beautiful location and a great lunch menu for people...and dogs! We regularly come here for drinks and snacks. The wine is fine, but a very meager glass. And 6 cheese sticks for 8.50 is really quite expensive.

We celebrated our wedding at Bij Maarten and we couldn't be more grateful and thrilled! The communication beforehand was very smooth and pleasant – Imke was very helpful and ensured everything was perfectly arranged. This allowed us to truly enjoy our day without a care in the world. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming; we felt completely at ease, and our guests were also warmly welcomed. And then there's the food... wow! We received so many compliments about the dishes. It was not only delicious but also beautifully presented. Thanks to your excellent care, we had an unforgettable day. Highly recommended! 💛

We had a wonderful high tea!! A wide and diverse selection of snacks, both savory and sweet. The staff were very friendly and helpful, even going the extra mile to accommodate our birthday celebration. Definitely worth it!

Service was excellent. Unfortunately, an ordered fried egg sandwich with a WHOLE yolk was too difficult for the chef! He also managed to add several head hairs as a garnish; SO DISGUSTING!! After reporting the issue, I received no response.

Great terrace with a lovely castle view! We went here for some drinks and the staff was lovely. The place is located in a park-like castle garden, nice for walks. Would recommend this place for a drink (at least)!

I enjoyed a delicious cup of coffee here with a fantastic view of the castle. Afterward, I took a walk through the surrounding greenery, which is highly recommended if you happen to pass 't Koetshuis! A perfect walking distance from Camping de Helfterkamp.

beautiful place with a beautiful garden

Had lunch after visiting the castle. We sat on the terrace, and the service was friendly. It was a shame the food didn't arrive at the same time. My husband and daughter had practically finished their meals before mine arrived, even after asking again where it was. Once asked, my food arrived immediately, and they explained and apologized. So, perfect! They easily got an extra breadstick for my daughter with her tomato soup. Very nice!

From the moment we walked in, none of the staff could even say "Good afternoon." After being shown a table by one employee, it took about fifteen minutes before we were offered a drink. A waitress first walked over to us and then cleared the table next to us. Apparently, the fact that we were sitting at the table with four hungry and thirsty children wasn't a priority. There was still cutlery from the previous guests, and then only the knives were taken away. After receiving our food, not once was we asked if everything was to our liking, or if we wanted another drink, or anything else. The children received a pizza roll, like the kind you can buy in the supermarket with the hot rolls, with two lettuce leaves and four cherry tomatoes on top, for €8! each. The messy chicken sandwich was tasty, but there was no avocado or mayo to be found. When we paid, we weren't even asked if everything was to our liking. A missed opportunity for such a beautiful location.

Review of Restaurant ’t Koetshuis – Vaassen The location is beautiful, right next to Cannenburg Castle, which really adds to the charm. I stopped here for a small meal during my motorcycle ride. I ordered the ancient bread, but unfortunately, the inside wasn't fully cooked or baked properly. I also had a 0.0 beer, which thankfully tasted good. The service was friendly, but not very attentive. Final rating: 3/5 stars.

Tonight I celebrated my 50th birthday with Maarten in the Koetshuis. With 30 people, in a beautiful room, enjoying a delicious buffet and super friendly and knowledgeable service! All very relaxed, no rushing and they thought along nicely. This is definitely worth repeating. REALLY recommended!

Delicious food! And I'm stingy with my 5 stars. You don't just get them ;) My boyfriend and I had lunch here twice last week. And both times it was a success. I had a Silly Philly Steak sandwich. With pickle, cheddar cheese and jalapeno 😍 Delicious. And the fries were also really good. My boyfriend had the schnitzel first and the croquettes the second time. Both times were really good! Definitely recommended for everyone in the area. The staff was also really super friendly and helpful. You can take a nice walk in the area itself and then sit here on the terrace with a drink and something tasty. Definitely recommended.

Had lunch today. Maybe not a good idea when it's such a busy day. The food (Schnitzel with bacon, mushrooms and onion) was downright disgusting. Schnitzel dripped off the fat, bacon wasn't cooked properly. Glass of wine for 5.75 was meager. Getting 8 glasses from a bottle. Something said about that. But the lady said they work with a mate. Well, no more mates in any case. Service was friendly. That wasn't the problem. But will we go back again? I don't think so.

Unfortunately we couldn't get a bite to eat, as the establishment closed at 6pm.

Prijs te hoog voor het geleverde. 22,00 p.p. zonder drinken. een kopje lauwe tomatensoep, kroketje en 2 mine broodjes de man die zeer lang vooraf zijn belegd. na een half uur gevraagd naar de broodjes (deze stonden klaar) na 45 min. werden deze op tafel gezet!) Bediening beperkt en meer prioriteit bij extra drankjes leveren i.p.v. lunch bedienen.

A pleasant restaurant with a beautiful, authentic interior. It has a warm appearance and feels atmospheric, as if you are going back in time. We came here for a quick drink before visiting the castle, and it was a nice break. The staff were friendly and helpful. When we needed to change our baby, we received good help, and it was nice that there was a place to change diapers near the toilets. The coffee and chocolate milk tasted good and we were received politely and hospitably. All in all a positive experience, definitely worth it if you are in the area. Or visit the castle.

Had a private party with buffet here 1 week ago. Food was really delicious! Enough for everyone and finally a really delicious dessert buffet!!! Top!! Friendly service too. It's also a really nice place to sit, both inside and outside on the terrace with a view of De Cannenburgh Castle

We had a party there yesterday in honor of our friends' 25th wedding anniversary, had a delicious hot and cold buffet and an ice cream buffet, everything delicious! The service is nice and friendly. Beautiful location.

I ordered vanilla ice cream with whipped cream and chocolate sauce. It took so long that the other person had already finished his drink. When it arrived, there was no chocolate sauce. You couldn't see this right away because it was served in a pan. Halfway through, it was clear that there was no chocolate sauce. Very disappointing because the ice cream had little taste and there was far too much whipped cream on it. Tasteless, greasy snack. Just like fries without mayonnaise.

Beautiful atmosphere to visit the castle after an excellent lunch. The atmosphere, the employees and the dishes are simply good and very affordable. The ladies at the counter know their trade!

Recently had a lovely sit on the terrace. Beer and wine were great. Drinks board for €18 was meager. We order snacks everywhere and this one fell into the category of little for a lot. Our tip: add a basket of bitterballen or something similar. Then it's worth just €18 for what you get...

Goed eten maar het was er echt te koud. Graag de verwarming aanzetten. Lekkere wijnen bij het eten. Bediening maakte af en toe een verwarde indruk.

Even if your name is not Maarten…. Try the bouncer Maarten. Doesn't disappoint. The toilet humor does not fit with the rest of the appearance.

Yesterday I celebrated my 60th birthday with 5 friends and 5 dogs with a delicious high tea. The dogs were just as spoiled. Very friendly service. It was a great afternoon.

We were able to relax here after a brisk walk. A snack and a drink and it was nice to be able to bring the dogs inside. Attractive place with a hunting theme and old brown. We love it. ❤️

We have eaten here several times and it was always excellent, but unfortunately not the last time. The waitress mumbled under her breath what we wanted to drink, we ordered 2 wines, when she brought it she put it on the table and walked away. I had a chicken skewer with bean sprouts (which was not included) and bread??? I think it included fries. My husband had an omelet that was very, very dark. Almost burned. I don't know if I dare to come again. Very unfortunate!

Had lunch with family on a sunny day. The manager (owner?) was flexible when we asked to put the chairs and table in the sun, that was no problem. Small misunderstanding with a menu dish. Te slecht. Tom ka kai besteld, leuk gepresenteerd, maar een vettige soep met proefbaar bindmeel en een vel erop, dikke slierten pasta erin, maar geen enkele overeenkomst met Tom ka kai. Het brood met smeersels een half uur na bestelling niet op tafel. Drankje afgerekend, weggegaan. Ondeskundig personeel, slechte kok.

When it became clear that we were with you for our wedding day, a bubble was offered, how nice is that! The high tea was surprising, varied, certainly not standard, delicious and more than enough. Gelukkig hadden we gereserveerd voor de lunch want het was druk. Vriendelijke bediening en vooral heel goed eten. Kwaliteit was prima en de prijs ook.

We had certain expectations as we enjoy stopping on the beautiful sunny terrace in the summer. So we thought let's eat that. We couldn't have done that better. It was disappointing in every respect. Too bad. I think the cook had a bad day or there was a kitchen brigade with little experience. It's a shame and we won't do this anymore.

Everything good except for the service. Explicitly indicated that they wanted to customize a particular dish, if not possible to get something else. The waiter had forgotten this. The dish was brought without any desired adjustment and they could not change anything about it, no solution was devised in any way. The waiter also forgot to bring drinks and glasses to the carafe several times. It's a shame that you are treated poorly in such a good restaurant.

We waren in de omgeving aan het Geocachen en zochten een leuke landelijk lunch plek. We hebben hier dan zalig buiten op het terras kunnen lunchen. Waar ik voor het eerst Balkenbrij heb gegeten.

Heerlijk gegeten in het herfstzonnetje, goed en vriendelijk personeel.

3 van de 4 kregen hun bestelling. Bij de andere was er kennelijk iets mis gegaan. Het duurde enige tijd voordat het goede gerecht werd gebracht. De messen zijn niet geschikt (bot, klein) om bijvoorbeeld het flatbread fatsoenlijk te kunnen snijden. Het eten zelf was goed, maar een hamburger voor €21, is wel heel erg prijzig.

Eten was prima, compliment voor de kok, maar …… de bediening was echt onder de maat. Lang wachten, bediening komt niet uit zichzelf. Tafels worden niet snel afgeruimd en schoongemaakt. Ik wil bij eten op het terras geen uitzicht op vuile tafels. Als ik de rekening vraag wil een rekening ontvangen en geen mededeling van het totaalbedrag aan tafel. Minimale glaasjes witte wijn, dus voor een te hoge prijs. Voor “eten bij het kasteel” mag ik meer en een fraaiere ambiance verwachten. Helaas kom ik hier niet terug.

Goed personeel, goede service Lekker eten. We hadden een taart besteld voor dessert omdat we een verjaardag hadden, er was een prachtige taart verzorgd. Een aanrader!

Na een prachtige wandeling in Oosterbeek zijn we op de terugweg naar Vaasen gereden. We hebben heerlijk geborreld met goed gevulde borrelplank en lekkere lokale gebrouwen biertjes. Vervolgens heerlijk gegeten. Bediening was vlot en vriendelijk, het eten smaakte geweldig! Super ervaring
