Beautiful surroundings and delicious food. Hopefully, the dirt road to the restaurant will remain clean. The municipality of Epe has done a great job.

Nice location, thought the drinks platter for 2 or 3 people was very poor and that for €24.

The staff was very rushed. Even though it was very quiet, the waitress was very busy and didn't have the patience to take our order. Otherwise, it's a fantastic location. I'll definitely be back.

Thirty years ago, I always came here with my grandmother for the Ossenstal pancake. And now, 30 years later, I've been back with my grandmother. The taste of this special pancake was still the same; it was delicious!

Great resting place during a bike ride

Uninviting "restaurant." Large, plenty of seating. Lukewarm cola; after we ordered a second round and pointed out that the drinks weren't cold, we were given an ice cube. The pancakes were delicious.

We had a reservation for four people. Beautiful location, nice playground for the kids. My oldest had a blast. I brought my own high chair and drawing supplies for my youngest, but the staff didn't offer or point me out. We quickly ordered our first drinks, but after 30 minutes, no one had taken our order for the dishes we wanted. So, I had to ring the bell myself. The food arrived relatively quickly. The kitchen was simple, but tasted great. There was no cutlery or napkins, and no one came to ask if everything was to my liking. I even had to ask for the bill myself. Person A directed me to person B, who then directed me to the cash register where person A was present again. It was all very unusual...

Reservations are linguistically awkward. You're only allowed to stay for two hours and have to wait an hour for your food. The food and service were good.

Beautiful in a quiet area of forest / Veluwe, super hospitable, unfortunately less accessible with a motorcycle because it is not really a paved road, perhaps a cycle path, otherwise not so careful, delicious food there

A truly beautiful spot in the woods. A nice playground right next to it. Everything is neat, the staff is friendly and young, and the menu has something for everyone. In short, we'll definitely be back!

My son's 18th birthday was booked well in advance. When I arrived, I ordered drinks, and upon taking my order, I was told the wait would be 50 minutes. I replied that it was very long and not polite. They didn't offer any goodwill. It was because it was so busy! Well, it's a holiday and there's so much space. It's purely about planning and adjusting your staffing. Right? I've since read reviews, and they show that this is pretty standard practice there on average. So there seems to be a tactic behind it. It's not polite, and the staff isn't very friendly. It's basically a business model. Get as many customers as possible, get them moving, don't rush out, and then cash in big time. Never again to the ox stables for me. Be warned.

Look, you won't get a Michelin-starred meal at De Ossenstal, but if you want a bite to eat with kids, this is a damn good place! In nice weather, you can sit inside or outside. The kids can play outside while waiting for their pancakes, fries, or whatever they ordered. But you can also put a game or some drawing supplies on the table inside to keep them calm. No one will bat an eye. Is De Ossenstal just for kids? Absolutely not. I also had a delicious meal and enjoyed the cozy atmosphere!

Nice in the middle of the forest

During our weekly bike ride with friends, we often stop by the Ossenstal, depending on the time of day, for coffee and delicious apple pie, or lunch, which is also excellent. The staff are great. We love coming here!

We had a delicious meal! They also have a wide selection of gluten-free pancakes.

Nice place to eat well for a good price.

The setting is especially beautiful, right in the middle of the forest. The food is excellent, but the atmosphere inside is a bit chilly, almost uninviting.

Delicious pancakes. We waited a good two hours for the pancakes and then another hour for dessert. The atmosphere is very nice and child-friendly, but the wait time for your food is really too long, especially with kids. We had a reservation for 4:30 PM and didn't get our food until 6:30 PM. It's the same every time, which is a shame because it's a nice place.

We had a lovely, hot lunch here with our children and grandchildren. The Ossenstal is beautifully situated in the middle of the woods. The food was excellent, and the playground was much appreciated.

After waiting a while to place our order, we approached a waitress. A deep sigh... yes, I actually have another task, but I'll tell you quickly because I'm busy. But the terrace wasn't even that busy. We didn't feel welcome and left.

Today we visited the ox stable in Epe, and we've always been thrilled with their hospitality! But today we saw that they've even created a beautiful paddock with drinking water! What a fantastic restaurant!

The food at Ossenstal is always delicious. We go there for the pancakes, which are always delicious. The wait can be a bit long, especially when it's busy.

It was a fantastic day! Well-organized, great service (they think along with you), and delicious pancakes! The surrounding area is also beautiful, perfect for lovely walks.

As usual, a great experience with the food, the service, and the attentiveness of the staff, but it's noticeable that drinks, in particular, have become more expensive. Upon seeing the receipt, it turns out I was mistaken in noting this. I apologize for this.

A lovely restaurant with seating both inside and out. The staff were super friendly and helpful, and we were served quickly. There's a nice outdoor playground for the kids and a lovely walking trail. We even saw wild boars. Recommended for both couples and families.

This restaurant is beautifully situated in the woods. It has parking, though it's a short walk away. You can also walk from here to a section of the woods to spot wildlife. It's a restaurant that caters to many people, so it can get pleasantly busy. We didn't have to wait long for the waitress, who always went above and beyond. Drinks took a little longer, though. And the food took a bit too long. But it was good. And very tasty. The satay with hare and fries was delicious. And they didn't skimp on the mayo. A wonderful restaurant for the summer months.

A really nice pancake restaurant to take kids to, with lovely walks nearby. Truly peaceful in the middle of the woods! Unfortunately, the service isn't very smooth, meaning you sometimes have to wait a bit long, or drinks are forgotten, which then leads to a longer wait.

We enjoyed excellent pancakes on the terrace. A real artisanal experience. The extra farmer's pancake is a real treat. But every pancake is delicious. It's cozy in the winter with the Christmas lights inside. In the summer, it's wonderful on the terrace.

I've been coming here for years, and they keep improving the service. The menu is incredibly extensive. Since it got busy, I've had some issues with the speed of service, drinks running out, and the kitchen being busy, but I think that's understandable. It's a large, popular place... They do their best, and the food is delicious!

Beautiful location with lots of walking opportunities. I was shocked by the prices on the menu, catering is getting more expensive but I personally won't order pancakes for €18. We had a slightly cheaper choice from the menu which was of excellent quality and the dog ice cream was also well received by the four-legged friend.

In the middle of the forest, it seems like a story with a happy ending. Delicious pancake service, super friendly young people (you really don't see that everywhere) for children enough to do outside. Inside really Veluwe decorated! This is our favorite pancake house.

It is certainly not due to the coziness, the location and the staff, but the staff could not handle the orders. We waited over an hour for our food, which is a bit too long. I understand that it was busy, but not really convenient with children.

Delicious airy pancake eaten with a crispy outer edge

We had a great meal, my wife had a nice Mexican pizza, and I had the satay of the hare. It was nice tender meat and tasted great. Really recommended.

Only downside, we ordered the ozzy children's pancake and this was a plain pancake, no nice children's toy or candy with it. Maybe a tip! What a beautiful location for a pancake restaurant! Hidden in the middle of the forest, the restaurant has a beautiful view. As a child I came here to eat a pancake and now I come here with my own children to eat delicious pancakes. There is a nice playground for children and even a kind of treasure hunt. The best thing is to cycle there, beautiful surroundings. In short: recommended for everyone!

Delicious food, beautiful location and very friendly staff. You would expect that the quality would decrease over time with the success of the location, but nothing could be further from the truth. When we ordered a pancake for our daughter incorrectly, they had no problem baking a new one for her, which was delivered within 5m. Keep up the good work, we will definitely come back here!!
