Probably a nice location and good food, but we had made a reservation. Subsequently, the venue was closed for a wedding and we were given a spot in the conservatory. It was very noisy and we got the impression that we were being rushed out. A shame; the experience was much more positive next time, but this time it left a bit of a bad taste.

Very beautiful location, secluded and nicely away from the hustle and bustle of the city. We had an afternoon program here with an event planner and that was super fun. The location has plenty of space for this, which is a plus. It is also pleasantly busy; multiple parties can be celebrated simultaneously. I didn't think the food for our group was great; we had a buffet, which was quite clearly prepared a long time ago and kept warm using a chafing dish. Perhaps that is a downside of the buffet format. Not bad, but definitely not great. Personally, I had expected to receive a bit more attention; we had to ask someone for a round of drinks quite a few times. They did arrive promptly and properly, but during an event with a program, that is still an interruption. Note: this was a company outing; an individual experience can be many times better!

I would rather call this place Brasserie Stay Home. Aside from the fact that you have to fetch someone yourself to order your food, the prices on the menu are totally unfair to the meager portion you get on your plate. The carpaccio is a small bread roll from Albert Heijn served with lots of lettuce and a layer of discolored carpaccio. The tuna is more like a cheese soufflé, with so much greasy cheese on it. You might as well get a cheese sandwich. Man, what a filthy mess. Had to throw up immediately when I got home, it was that disgusting (literally). Thanks for the food poisoning. Otherwise, the location is nice..

After hearing so many good reviews from people around me, I decided to visit this restaurant with my daughter. I had high expectations, especially because I wanted to do something special for her fifteenth birthday. Upon entering, the reception was friendly and good. A beautiful restaurant. Unfortunately, we immediately noticed that the table was very dirty. I therefore asked for a cloth myself to clean the table. The food and drinks, on the other hand, were truly delicious. During the meal, they also politely came to ask if everything was to our liking. But after that, things unfortunately went wrong with the service. After we finished eating, no one came by anymore while we were waiting for our dessert. My daughter eventually had to ask for her ice cream herself. Another employee then came with two small bowls, each containing one scoop of melted ice cream. I had also ordered a carrot cake, but I never received it. I found that very disappointing. When I wanted to pay, the carrot cake was on the bill. I indicated that I had not received it and, of course, did not pay for it. I was asked afterwards if I still wanted the cake, but I indicated that I didn't need it anymore. In short: the food was delicious and the welcome was friendly, but unfortunately, the service left much to be desired. Precisely because I came with high expectations and wanted to celebrate my daughter's fifteenth birthday, I was ultimately quite disappointed.

I have to be honest: this visit was quite disappointing. The chicken satay was good, but the chicken nuggets were dry and hard, and the pickled vegetables were dried out and had a strange taste. The service also left something to be desired. The team is very young, which is fine in itself, but there is no one present to supervise or provide guidance. You notice this immediately in both the service and what comes out of the kitchen. Staff shortages are a real problem, but this level really needs to improve. I hope you take this seriously, because there is a lot to be gained here with someone managing the floor.

The Merlot was really not good. The sea bass was unfortunately burnt, and the vegetables were raw and hard. The sirloin steak was tough. We were also not asked how we wanted it. The vegetables with this dish were also raw. It is a real shame because it is a beautiful location and has a lot of potential. But it was truly substandard and the atmosphere was tense.

Nice location and the food was tasty, but the service was absolutely terrible.... Not polite to older people, not really friendly. We ordered Heineken beer and received it in different glasses from other brands, but also in different sizes. One time in a tankard, then in a small vase, a flute, etc. We were told that they had few glasses in stock (it wasn't that busy).... But the worst part was that we saw the waitress arrive with a wine glass and there was probably still a small stain on the inside of the glass, so she tried to wipe it away with her finger.

A nice terrace where you can sit and relax. A fairly extensive menu and prompt, friendly service. Ample parking. However, it takes a bit of searching to find your way there, and I can imagine that when it is dark, the road leading there is impossible to find.

Upon leaving the brasserie, while we were waiting for someone in our party who had gone to the restroom, we were approached by 4 or 5 members of the wait staff, who had previously served us at our table, asking if they could help us. So, you can sit down and eat there completely incognito!

The waitstaff touched the top of the glass you drink from with dirty hands; we were given the wrong glass for a beer; we were served quite quickly in itself and the food came quickly too, but the service wasn't very sociable and they were a bit rude.

Beautifully situated in a wooded area. It takes a bit of searching to find. Food very fresh and tasty. Soft drinks pricey. We came to celebrate a birthday, but no attention was paid to it (despite mentioning it when making the reservation).

Had a delicious lunch for the second time, a smoked salmon sandwich. The bread was nice and crispy and generously filled. We found the yakitori sauce finish too intense. Our preference would be honey/mustard with dill. Perhaps offer both as an option? Friendly and efficient service despite the busyness.

Reserved for high tea and received confirmation; however, upon arrival, nothing was known. No apologies and no satisfactory solution. Just take a seat and you can order from the lunch menu. After waiting for 45 minutes, finally received a lunch menu and, after more than 75 minutes, finally got something to eat. Disappointing.

We had made a reservation for lunch. We really wanted to sit outside, because the weather was beautiful and there was plenty of space. That wasn't possible due to a wedding that hadn't started yet. We had to order quickly because the kitchen was closing. The music was turned up louder and louder... Coincidence? When we left, the wedding hadn't started yet. So, poor communication. We will never come here again.

It is a beautiful setting, went there for breakfast for the second time, it was tasty, nothing wrong with it. However, when paying, it was not possible to pay separately or in cash, a bit strange. One of the employees working there could be a bit friendlier; she didn't even manage a smile.

We come here often, but the service hasn't improved in a year. The reservation wasn't listed, even though we had a confirmation. And sometimes it takes up to 30 minutes before someone comes by to take the order. The surroundings are lovely and the location is too, but unfortunately, the price-quality ratio has declined since last year. Hopefully, it will be an idea to motivate the staff better and improve their image, because you don't want to come back like this.

Since there's been a new owner, it's no fun anymore; prices have gone up and the dishes have been belittled. You order 4 menus for four, only to be served 2 portions of fries—scandalous! It's called a menu for a reason. Nice place, but the restaurant's management is very poor.

It was Mother's Day at lunchtime, but it wasn't a success. My sandwich wasn't tasty, it was tough and not fresh, and the steak was tasteless. The staff was understaffed, there were long waits, and they were unfriendly. I am never going here again.

Excellent service in a superb setting

My girlfriend and I had a cup of cappuccino and a toasted sandwich, so not two; there was some lettuce with it. I had to pay 19 euros, 10 euros for the toasted sandwich; I hadn't looked at the menu. I wonder why it has to be so expensive. So that is the last time I've been there.

I celebrated my birthday on Sunday, April 26th. I had never been here before. But what a lovely location. There was face painting and a bouncy castle for the children. And there were plenty of playground equipment as well. Simply a perfect location for a party. The staff (Nadia) was also very friendly. Thank you very much. We will definitely be back.

I think this place is great; it is quiet and surrounded by nature. There is parking and an elevator for people with disabilities. The service is good.

During Valentine's Day, seated in some cold conservatory, where several guests simply had to eat with their coats on. We were there on the wrong date and time. There was a busy reception in the conservatory. We were seated in the (small) conservatory for 5 minutes, but unfortunately, we had to go home.

Fantastic carpaccio roll starter, main courses were decent, atmosphere is good. Great service and good parking.

The food was fine, but a bit too small for me. I also found the panini quite pricey for what you got. The service is friendly, but you have to call them every time to order something and they don't come by spontaneously. I don't necessarily recommend this restaurant, but I also don't advise against it.

Nice place to grab a bite to eat

Had lunch with five colleagues. We reserved a table in advance. Service was reasonably fast. Drinks hadn't been served yet when we asked about the rest of the food. The staff couldn't manage a smile and seemed very disinterested. The meal arrived fairly quickly. I had the 12 o'clock meal. The zucchini soup was lukewarm and as salty as broom. We had been asked beforehand whether I wanted white or brown bread. The mini bun with carpaccio was white and completely overcooked (reheated?) to a rusk. The carpaccio was tough. The croquette was served in a dry white bun. When I asked the staff about the brown bread, they said it always came on a white bun. Otherwise, the plate was empty. No greens. No butter. The staff came fairly quickly after the meal to clear the table and again to take drink orders. The bill arrived promptly after asking. 25 euros per person. If the staff had shown a little more enthusiasm, it would have been a different experience. A shame.

Mediocre, not worth repeating. Slow service, as if it was all too much, discussion about the wrong bill, after lunch, having to ask for it to be cleared myself after 40 minutes of staring at empty plates and drinks, then still not clearing empty glasses and taking a new order. A lady walks around as if you're saying something wrong if you haven't received something. Because of that, I just left early; it's not inviting to stay. The fresh juice isn't fresh; it's supposedly bought fresh, but it tastes like supermarket orange juice, not fresh juice. You can taste the difference immediately. The outdoor play area for small children is nice, the food tastes good, but the quality is the same as elsewhere. We'll skip it next time.

Beautiful location in a quiet, green area of ​​Rijswijk. The children's playground is a big plus. Prices are on the high side. There's a lovely, large outdoor terrace where you can relax comfortably.

We come here every Sunday afternoon after a walk in the woods for a drink and sometimes something to eat

My father and I ordered two cappuccinos with apple pie. The service was disinterested, arrogant, and showed little enthusiasm. The apple pie was frozen, the crust was dry, and the filling was watery. The cappuccino came in a regular coffee cup. And all that for almost €22.00. The price is absurdly high compared to the quality. So this was the last time; they probably have to recoup the renovation costs with the ridiculously high prices. Such a waste of a beautiful location.

August 30, 2025: Enjoyed a lovely lunch with five people. Initially sat outside, but due to some rain, we moved inside to a nice spot by the window. The service was excellent, both for the drinks and the food, even though there were a few parties (including a wedding) going on. We ate delicious sandwiches. I had a tuna melt sandwich. The coffee was also good. The prices aren't cheap, but they are comparable to other similar establishments.

Nothing was possible, and they didn't think anything of us. Such a shame. The food wasn't good either. Ordering from the breakfast menu stopped at 10:45, as it ends at 10:30. Picking up a dish wasn't possible either, "because it's already been made." Asking for explanations about certain dishes was also possible while walking around; the phone was simply answered at the table, etc. Furthermore, the food was far too salty. Disappointing, considering the pleasant surroundings. The price-quality ratio is truly disproportionate.

Ordered an Americano coffee, got regular black coffee. The comment was that Americano is a trendy word, but it's just black coffee. A missed opportunity, unfortunately.

A very bad experience. The staff is unfriendly and the food is very disappointing. We ordered two incredibly large hamburger buns and had to eat one separately, which says a lot. The bun was unbearable, the lettuce was brown, and the tomato slice was as thick as my thumb. We also believe there was a chef walking around who was really unfriendly and seemed very stressed. And it wasn't super busy, so we didn't enjoy ourselves and felt it was a waste of money. The tables were very dirty for a long time, and we were asked at least ten times if we wanted another drink (one of the glasses was still half full). So this is a warning to people who want to eat somewhere better. Try it at a better place than this one, because this is nothing more than a money grab.

Celebrated my bather's 90th birthday here. The gazebo was an excellent choice. Ben even suggested we install a playpen because he thought it was a bit quiet. He's truly fantastic. The service was perfect; we only had to ask for anything and it was done. The snacks were delicious and luxurious. After the birthday, we had a lovely meal on the terrace with a few others, and that was also perfect. A big 10 for you.
