Bistro la Frontière in Wijk 00 Baarle - Nassau

This is truly the worst restaurant I and my company have ever eaten at. The sole was incredibly salty, the tenderloin and venison steak were so tough you couldn't stop chewing them. The vegetables served with it were of poor quality, limp, overcooked, and tasteless. The fries were pale and limp, below average snack bar standards. The food itself probably wasn't even bad, but the preparation was terrible; the chef simply ruined it. Furthermore, the restaurant was full of flies, both at the table and in the restrooms. Sorry, I can't say more... Not recommended!

Had a very pleasant evening. Serving a group of 17 people in a very relaxed manner and providing them with delicious food is no easy feat, but that takes a lot of skill.

Other times we've eaten at La Frontiete, it was fine. But the last time, it wasn't great. The sirloin steak was inedible; it had a lot of tendons. The fish had no flavor, and the sole was inedible. It was so tough you couldn't remove the flesh from the bone. The presentation was poor. It looked like it had been shoved onto the plate. The staff was friendly and attentive. But no La Frontiete for us anytime soon.

We went here for a bite to eat, mainly because of the many good reviews. We thought it was the best choice in the village. Upon arrival, it looked atmospheric: lots of people on the terrace, cozy lighting – a good first impression. However, we soon noticed that this is primarily a village restaurant where locals can enjoy a simple meal for a reasonable price, especially if you choose the set menu with drinks. There's nothing wrong with that, of course, but it didn't meet our expectations. The dishes were very simple. The salad was dressed with mayonnaise, there was only one house wine per color, and the food was very salty. Another drawback was the direct view from the terrace into the kitchen and dishwashing area. We saw the chef lifting various cuts of meat from left to right with his bare hands. The service, on the other hand, was friendly and attentive – nothing to complain about there. All in all, it wasn't a pleasant experience for us, but for the right target audience, this is definitely a great place to enjoy a simple meal in a relaxed atmosphere.

A very atmospheric restaurant and a nice outdoor dining area. Friendly service and a fairly extensive menu. I had a delicious tomato soup as a starter. The main course was a tenderloin with pepper sauce, which was disappointing. I didn't think the meat was tender enough for a tenderloin. I think it was more like a round steak. The vegetables weren't cooked through and lacked flavor. The fries themselves were pre-made fries, which I find a bit too standard for a bistro. The pepper sauce could have tasted more like pepper, as I found it bland. Dessert for me was a French coffee, which was delicious. The children had ice cream and chocolate mousse, which I, of course, sampled. These were also extremely delicious. All in all, 3 stars. Perhaps if I choose something different from the extensive menu in the future, I'll give a higher rating.

Excellent food, attentive service, recommended

Despite the fact that it was super busy, the service was quick and attentive. With the all-in menu, despite the crowd, they kept a close eye on whether our glasses were empty.

Deliciously fresh dishes. We keep coming back for the delicious carpaccio.

Ik heb hier een aantal weken terug gegeten. Het was een erg mooi aangekleed restaurant met vriendelijk personeel. Ik wilde een aangepaste versie van een van de gerechten en er werd meteen gekeken of dat mogelijk was, gelukkig was dit geen probleem. De bediening was snel en goed en het eten was erg lekker!

Leuke locatie voor een prima maaltijd. Verhouding prijs-kwaliteit top. Complimenten aan de bediening.

Kind service, good food, super terrasse

Komen hier vaker. Altijd lekker gegeten. Altijd vriendelijke bediening. Of je het all-in menu neemt of à la carte eet, er is altijd de nodige aandacht aan besteed. Zomers met goed weer leuk buiten terras (met grote tent), anders binnen in sfeervolle ruimte. Kok-eigenaar komt 's avonds altijd even informeren. AANRADER.

Prima gegeten goede attente service en dit is nog een restaurant waar ze (zoals het hoort)een karaf water op tafel zetten.Waar sommige restaurants een kapitaal voor vragen is het hier gewoon van het huis.Prijs kwaliteit prima komen zeker nog eens terug.

Al vaker hier geweest, altijd vriendelijke bediening. Kwaliteit van het eten goed. All in menu niet heel verrassend maar zeker smakelijk. Ontspannen sfeer, fijne achtergrond muziek We komen hier graag.

Dit is echt een fijne bistro om te komen. Verwacht geen moderne menu's, maarwel goed eten, gezellig opgediend, gedekte tafels en gastvrije bediening. Stokbrood kruidenboter en water is service. Er is een all inclusive keuzemenu incl. drank of al la carte. Hoofdgerecht met verse groenten opgedient met zowel aardappelkroket als friet.

Leuk restaurant, we hebben hier heerlijk gegeten. Hadden het all- in menu, was ontzettend lekker met fijne wijnen en hele vriendelijke bediening. Echt een aanrader!

Prijs kwaliteit is gewoon dik voor mekaar, gezellige sfeer dus niks aan veranderen.

Prima restaurant, bediening zeer goed, kwamen niets te kort. Helaas geen bier van de tap en bij sommige speciaalbieren was de voorraad op, gemiste kans. Maar het wildmenu en de All in formule maakte het een top avond !

Prima eten, all in menu genomen, komen keurig steeds vragen of er bijgeschreven moet worden. Bediening goed, eten goed en presentatie van het eten is keurig. Een aanrader deze bistro en we gaan er zeker nog een keer terug

Heerlijk All-in ! Sfeervol restaurant ! Diner van uitstekende kwaliteit. Bediening, zoals het moet zijn ! Verjaardag of etentje buitenshuis ? Dit is "the place to be ". In oktober wordt mijn vrouw 80. Uiteraard gaan we met zoons en kleindochters bij La Frontière dineren !
