When we have something to celebrate, we love going to De Kneut. Delicious food with friendly staff who make you feel welcome. In our opinion, it's definitely worth the drive.

Delicious, honest, healthy food in a cozy atmosphere

First time at De Kneut! Spontaneously went out for dinner with seven people on a Monday evening. Spontaneous, friendly service! Delicious food, definitely worth going back! Very cozy place, lovely interior, wonderful!

Great atmosphere, the food was fantastic. I've rarely had such a good tournedos, superbly prepared. The pickles were just right, and the stew was very tasty. Very friendly and hospitable staff. A truly enjoyable evening with a 4-course dinner.

Went back to restaurant De Kneut for dinner some time ago. It had been a while since I'd actually been there, for no real reason. The restaurant still had a beautiful, English-chic interior. We also received a warm welcome. We opted for the 4-course menu. Plenty of choices and something for everyone. We were very pleased with the quality. The price-quality ratio was truly excellent. The tournedos was incredibly tender. In short, Restaurant De Kneut is highly recommended!

From the outside, it looks closed, but definitely pop in and you'll be amazed. Beautiful location and very cozy interior, and not to forget... delicious food. I had the fish platter and my wife the schnitzel. The vegetables and fries with potato croquettes were too much, but very tasty.

We love coming to De Kneut for the delicious spareribs and the atmosphere. It's a lovely (quiet) village restaurant where authentic charm and friendliness are paramount. Plus, we think the food is delicious, so yes, we highly recommend it!

We booked a wonderful outing through a social deal. We were greeted with coffee and apple pie, after which we could choose a walking route. Upon our return, we had a large cup of tomato soup and three small rolls: one with a fried egg, one with a delicious beef croquette, and one with ham and cheese. We also had a small salad with a small ball of Russian salad. Plenty of beer and wine to choose from. The owner was friendly!

Our birthday dinner for two was delicious. A warm welcome and plenty of choices. Compliments to the chef, hostess, and bartender. The Dassen family👍

We had a wonderful meal with 10 people on Sunday, August 31st, in the beautiful conservatory. The Burgundian Brabant atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with a touch of Amsterdam humor from our wonderful hostess.

Had lunch and a beer after a bike ride through the area. Worth a stop. Friendly, helpful staff, but don't expect high-end culinary delights, just good food at a fair price. This time, a year later, we enjoyed a four-course dinner at De Kneut. Delicious dishes at a reasonable price. The service is friendly and helpful. I read that people had trouble parking, but there's a large parking lot behind the restaurant. We had a pleasant evening, and we'll definitely be back.

Today, after a day of exploring the corn maze, eight people sat down for a five-course meal. While enjoying a refreshing drink, we reflected on a successful day. The delicious and varied food certainly added to the festive atmosphere. We would definitely recommend the Kneut.

You enter the restaurant through a back door, past the restrooms. Then you enter a dated restaurant where "the godfather" watches over you. The atmosphere is very hollow and noisy. The food is delicious. It's a shame, though, that there's an extra charge for dessert...this only became clear after I'd paid and was already home.

Found restaurant via Google. In itself a great place, a bit dated style and a bit noisy. Looked at the menu, ordered food, friendly staff. Food tasted great, portions seemed a bit minimal but was sufficient. When ordering dessert, we noticed a price difference between dessert and separate pastries with the same ingredients (apple pie, ice cream and whipped cream) that was offered. This was made known to the waiter. It was fixed! When paying, the receipt was not checked, but given afterwards. I later saw that apple pie was indeed separately charged and whipped cream, but that there were also 2x a "separate dessert from the chef" on the bill?! ... too bad missed opportunity

Zeer teleurstellend.Eerste bestelling opnemen duurde al net iets te lang. Voorgerechten waren goed. Daarna met 2 jonge kinderen een uur wachten op hoofdgerechten. Bij navraag opmerking van serveerster:" dan had u moeten aangeven dat het vlot moest. "???? Doorgaans wordt de gast gevraagd of het vlot mag of iets meer tijd ertussen. Biefstuk rauw( medium gevraagd), groente niet lekker. Het is onze eer te na om stennis te schoppen, dus betaald, wegwezen en nooit weer.

The whole thing was very disappointing. It took JUST a little too long for the first drinks order to be taken. Sandwich and carpaccio were good. Then it lasted and lasted. Waited an hour for main course. Note from waitress: you should have indicated that it should be done smoothly. ???. We are used to the customer being ASKED if it can take a while. Then raw steak (medium requested) cauliflower not fine. In short, we don't have to go here anymore.

Main course meat: three types of dry meat, heated in the oven. The vegetables and fries were tasty. Why can't I give 8 stars for atmosphere 🤔 But De KNEUT is a good restaurant, friendly atmosphere and the hostess and host are great. We had a good Valentine's Day menu today, and we were in for a treat. As a starter, a delicious fish menu including salmon, prawns and Dutch shrimps. The main menu was a combination of fish and meat, the steak tips are highly recommended, perfectly seasoned and not spicy enough without being too spicy. And then I almost forgot the piece of pork tenderloin with bacon wrapped around it. Well cooked and with a nice pepper sauce that was not overpowering. The dessert was a combination of only tasty things, what stood out was the crème brulee, delicious with an exclamation mark!

5 course dinner via social deal. One of us had meat the other fish. It was tasty, nice employees, among people from the neighborhood and in a place where you would otherwise not come so quickly.

Very friendly staff. We indicated in the reservation that we only had limited time and this was certainly taken into account. Tasty game starter. Delicious spareribs! This is what we came back for! Top quality, to die for. Not expensive for what you get, large portions. Clean sanitary facilities. We will definitely come back here if we have to be in the area!

Good meal, We ordered a salmon salad and sea bass with sole. The salad was generous and tasty. The fries served with it could have been a little crispier. The whole thing was tasty and well-seasoned. Nice conversation with the owner. The roots are in Amsterdam, which is also evident from a wooden Amsterdam bar on the mantelpiece. This evening in October the restaurant was quite full, which we found remarkable for such a small village.

It was very nice at the Kneut. My husband enjoyed delicious large mussels with fries, and the chicken satay is also highly recommended. Afterwards we enjoyed merenge cakes with coffee. Friendly service.

What a disappointment tonight. We have eaten at De Kneut several times, and each time the dishes were neatly prepared and presented. The surprise was therefore very great when we received the dessert 'Coupe Cointreau '73', which according to the description was just over the edge. Since this is open to multiple interpretations, we did not expect something so vulgar. Two scoops of ice cream with an upright banana as if it were a squirting cock (and no Cointreau in sight) shows, in our opinion, such a bad taste that absolutely does not fit with the atmosphere and the rest of the restaurant. The fact that this 'joke' passes us by at a level that an eight-year-old would be ashamed of is one thing, but we found the reaction of the owners with no attempt to apologize or compensate for this 'joke' costing almost 8 euros even worse. Where the staff stated that they were ashamed of serving this, the owners claimed that we were really the first to notice this. From now on we will spend our money at a restaurant with a slightly higher standard and a bit more care for its customers. Reply to comment: The chefs were standing outside smoking a cigarette, and the lady, who at least looks a lot like Karin, identified herself as the owner when we asked about it. And because I wasn't sure whether the coupe was 'contra' or cointreau, I checked everything at home via your own website. Three guesses what it says there (see photo). But even if it says Contra on the menu used in the restaurant, this is no indication of the vulgarity served. But that wasn't the point. The reaction of the chefs and the lady who pretended to be the owner left much to be desired. In the best case scenario, the lost business is due to their response. You may earn stars with good food, but you lose them with the rest of the experience.

They are good for the customers but not for the staff If someone gets sick they treat you like trash

Door het omzeilen van een file kwamen we rond etenstijd hier terecht. We hebben een heerlijke pasta funghi met kip gegeten. Echt de moeite waard. Ook de bediening is super vriendelijk. Als we weer eens in de buurt zijn en het tijd is om een hapje te eten gaan we zeker terug.

We ate here with 11 people. The service was nice at first, but later became somewhat popie-jopie. The food was mediocre, lukewarm, not enough satay sauce with the chicken satay, and one person had to wait almost half an hour for 2 soles, they had forgotten! ATM didn't work as it should either. Too bad!

Leuk restaurant Goed eten,sympathieke eigenaren en bediening (ook vlot)

Altijd een vriendelijk ontvangst en bediening. Wederom genoten van een heerlijk diner, voldoende keuzes op de kaart en voor de wintermaanden zijn er wild-specials . We komen zeer zeker weer terug.

Bij binnenkomst worden we niet begroet, we worden aan een tafel gewezen en worden verder niet aangesproken of drinken of een menu aangeboden. De verlichting flikkerde heel erg wat erg ongemakkelijk kijken was. We hebben gewacht tot er bediening kwam maar die kwam niet, maar toen we weg liepen werden we achtervolgd door een medewerker die de feedback niet kon waarderen en ons flink de les wilde lezen.

Wij genieten keer op keer bij de kneut van heerlijke eten en de fijne sfeer gewoon weg heerlijk genieten van alles je voelt je daar echt koning en koninging altijd een fijne tijd als we er zijn

Wat een grappig restaurant! Het neon flits bord buiten schrok een beetje af(snap die ook niet helemaal😂....maar hey...t valt wel op haha. Binnen erg gezellig. Semi Engels. Tafels netjes gedekt. Gezellige eigenaren en personeel. Sfeer onderling was ook voelbaar goed. Best belangrijk. Een kaart met voor ieder wat wils met mooie porties en zeer schappelijke prijzen. Alles is mogelijk..ze zijn écht bereid om de klant zeer tevreden naar huis te laten gaan.. zeker gelukt in ons geval. Er werd ook regelmatig gevraagd of alles naar wens was. Dus deze mensen verdienen een volle tent. We wonen helaas niet in de buurt...maar komen zéker terug! (Roosendalers en Groningers😉)

Met 5 personen heerlijk genoten van een 5 gangen verassing menu. Op en top verzorgd. Stuk voor stuk heerlijke gerechten met zorg bereid. Hele mooie zaak met hele gezellige personeelsleden en eigenaren. Wij gaan hier zeker vaker komen.

Er werd ons verteld dat het iets langer ging duren en als we dat niet erg vonden konden we plaats nemen. Al met al vonden we meevallen wat we moesten wachten en hebben prima gegeten. Zeer vriendelijk en vrolijk personeel. We willen als we in de buurt zijn zeker keer terug komen.

Wij hebben gisterenavond met 14 personen heerlijk gegeten bij de Kneut. Ze hadden voor ons een mooie lange tafel in de serre klaar staan. Het eten was heerlijk en werd perfect geserveerd, wat een compliment waard is als je met 14 man à la carte kan eten. De bediening was heel gezellig en vriendelijk. Bedankt team de Kneut voor de fijne avond.

Vriendelijke bediening. Prachtig en gezellig terras. Bij minder goed weer kun je plaats nemen in een sfeervol restaurant. Het eten was prima. We namen het twaalfuurtje en zeer voldaan waren we na afloop.

We zochten een sfeervol, restaurant waar goed gegeten kan worden en ook nog eens betaalbaar is. We hebben het gevonden, restaurant De Kneut. Deze zaak is zeer zeker aan te bevelen.
