Bar Bistro Tante Bet, everything is perfect here. What a wonderful evening. From the moment we walked in, it felt right: a relaxed atmosphere, genuine hospitality, and a team that clearly enjoys what they do. The food was truly excellent. Beautiful dishes, pure in flavor and prepared with care. You can taste that the cooking is done with a passion for the craft. The wines were a perfect match, and the advice was spot on, without any fuss. What really tops it off for me is the service. Personal, attentive, and pleasantly present in the background. Never once did I feel like anything was a must; everything was possible. A place where you not only eat well, but where you also enjoy being. I will definitely come back for this.

A beautiful accommodation (we had Apartment B), clean, modern, fully equipped, very sweetly furnished, and absolutely sufficient for the four of us: two adults and two teenagers. The sofa bed was actually so comfortable that we let the children use the slightly narrower bed. There were coffee capsules and tea, water, and even some nuts in the apartment. Towels, shampoo, soap, etc. were also provided. The online and on-site booking process was great and straightforward. The hosts run the bistro on the ground floor and have a super friendly team there. We went there one evening for a drink, but never ate there because we had already eaten at the beach. We also really liked the town of Voorschoten, and especially the lively Voorstraat, where the apartment is located. We would love to come back again. Many thanks to Miranda and Ton!!!

Pros: The service was extremely friendly. Cons: - the chef likes to sprinkle the salt shaker; - the coq-au-vin had nothing to do with rooster. It was pieces of chicken fillet in a somewhat indefinable sauce, there was certainly no red wine involved; call the dish something else! - the glass of fresh mint tea still contained the elastic band with which the mint was tied. The waitress was shocked, went to the owner, but no action was taken on her part. Apologies would certainly have been appropriate; - the acoustics were terrible; there is certainly much room for improvement.

A gem in Voorschoten. What a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, and we were greeted accordingly. Service ++. Escargots in the cottage were delicious. The onion soup was well-filled, and the bread was lovely and crispy with gratinated cheese. Lady steak with pepper sauce, just right. Fish specialty, skin-on. Well-fried fries with homemade mayonnaise and a salad with red onion, scallops, and tomato. Cheese platter with generous chunks of cheese, a deliciously sweet fig bread, and a panna cotta with homemade "kletskop" (sweet biscuit) and blood orange ice cream. Food ++. This was our first visit and definitely not our last.

Yesterday was our third visit to this restaurant, and once again no disappointment! The owner/manager greeted us kindly upon entering and recognized us. We had a delicious meal and the ambiance is great. The service is very friendly, perhaps not the fastest sometimes, but after all it was Saturday and full house so they can be forgiven. This is a nice restaurant where you can eat out in a "fancy" way (i.e. without having to turn your wallet inside out).

We ate here for the second time, and it was fantastic again! Everything is perfect! The service is friendly, the atmosphere is great, and the food is delicious. It's amazing that everything served is delicious, even the mayo with the potatoes. Generous portions and sides. Super tender steak, spicy garlic shrimp in oil, and steak tartare: all delicious. We'll be back!

We unexpectedly had a bite to eat at Bistro Tante Bet, because we were traveling from Amsterdam to Rotterdam. What a nice restaurant! Nicely decorated and very friendly staff. The food and wine were delicious. We really enjoyed it! The fact is that we are from Amsterdam, otherwise this would be one of our favorite places to have a nice meal and drink. Recommended!

Celebrated my birthday today with my family. I haven't eaten here before but my expectations were exceeded. Attentive host, good extensive menu without being bombarded with hundreds of dishes. Food was great. 7 people had a delicious meal. Thanks aunt!

Cozy tent and nice owner with friendly (family) staff. But feedback is also there to learn from. And there is still room for improvement. The carpaccio is delicious, but you are pricing yourself out of the market. I also hear more often around me “delicious food, but how expensive it is”. But the cozy setting and attentive service make up for a lot and we enjoy coming there!

Nice, busy place. We only had a drink there. Very noisy, tables close together.

The main issue was that staff was not nice, we've been waiting for our food for a very long time (over an hour) even though we were practically the only table. Our 9 year old son asked the waitress what's taking so long and later on when we've ordered another drink for him, she brought it and said sarcastically "I hope that was fast enough for you". I ordered my steak medium and received it raw, the waitress said i shouldn't put the sauce over it, but she took it anyway. I received my streak several minutes later cold and still raw

It was a nice evening. Service was also pleasant and attentive. The ribeye was not that good for me. I asked for medium but it was really too raw and it was also chewy. The rest of the group had a delicious meal.

Had dinner with 10 people on Friday with the board of WSV Leidschendam, what an ambiance, what a service and what delicious food, highly recommended, service by the 2 girls who run there, really great, an example for other restaurants, chapeau.

Good food, bit expensive to be honest. But friendly staff and good location.

Gelegen aan een leuke sfeervolle straat. De wijnen zijn een aanrader. De NZ Sauvignon Blanc was een genot. De truffel friet en pittige kip waren lekker als borrelhap. Friet was lekker krokant. Kip was pittig, maar niet te. Enige minpunt was de verhouding. Voor het gevoel had iets minder kip en meer friet beter geweest. Buiten zitten was leuk. Wat jammer was dat het café ernaast het gewoon vindt haar hond vrij te laten rondlopen over het terras van de buren.

Heerlijke sfeer. Het eten is excellent en de bediening kan niet beter.

Prettige keuken met veel oude keuken maar zeer smaakvol . Bediening prettig met kennis van zaken. Gezellige inrichting.

Repas sans intérêt. Ambiance sans autre clients absent. Sole sec, légumes inconnaissable, idem travers de porc. Premier et dernier fois que j'y vais.

Wat hebben wij lekker gegeten! De prijs/kwaliteitsverhouding is echt top! Ik had de bloemkoolsteak met truffelsaus en je merkt dat het zorgvuldig is uitgekozen en op elkaar is afgestemd. Onder andere door de toevoeging van kleine augurkjes die het gerecht helemaal afmaakten. Mijn moeder had de steak sandwich en er zat onwijs veel vlees op, het vlees was niet normaal mals en het brood was gegrild waardoor het echt een afgemaakt gerecht was. Zeer tevreden! Ook de plek is wat rustiger wat je een dorps en ontspannen gevoel geeft.

Eten bij deze Bistro was en is een feestje. Van ontvangst, de keuken tot aan de bediening, alles klopt. Een parel in Voorschoten. Wij hebben een verleden als Mistery Guest in de Horeca, dit soort van ondernemingen (gezien prijs/kwaliteit) kom je echt zelden tegen. Nogmaals dank voor deze ervaring en bediening door twee jonge TOPPERS.

Ik heb op 8 januari mijn verjaardag bij Tante Bet gevierd, een receptie met ongeveer 36 gasten en vervolgens eten met 6 intimi. Het was met 1 woord: PERFECT !! De ontvangst en regelingen met de eigenaar, de bediening, de hapjes en drankjes en eten a la carte, het was allemaal voortreffelijk. Ik kan Tante Bet aan iedereen aanraden.

We hebben een borrel gegeven voor een verjaardag voor dat 35 man. Heel gezellige ambiance, we hadden het achterste deel van de zaak voor ons alleen. Heerlijke toastjes en bitterballen, echt een aanrader. Top-locatie!

Lekker eten en drinken en vriendelijke bediening.

Enorme gastvrijheid, ook de kinderen vonden het heel leuk. Toen ik wilde reserveren bleek het vol, maar werd na nog geen uur teruggebeld dat er iemand had afgezegd. Echt fijne, persoonlijke aandacht!
