Black Smoke Rotterdam in Spaanse Polder

Gezellige sfeer, vakkundig personeel, erg genoten! De brisket was top....maar iets dikker gesneden en wat meer vlees was misschien beter geweest.... De "asbak" (dessert) een schot in de roos. Toch een topzaak wat mij betreft!

Geweldige ervaring. Mooie industriële setting naast de Van Nelle fabriek, alle details zijn in stijl. Bediening lekker op z’n Rotterdams: recht voor z’n raap en met humor. Goede menukaart met daarnaast een dagelijks wisselende lijst van gerechten: stukken vlees in verschillende beschikbare gewichten (op is op). Heerlijk gegeten, sappige entrecote, smaakvolle brisket. Fantastische asperges in spek erbij, cornbread, loaded fries. Je gaat zeker niet met honger naar huis!

Dit was mijn 10e bezoek in ongeveer 4-5 jaar en tot nu toe was dit altijd een zekerheidje. Tot nu toe was de beleving top, de gerechten heerlijk en het personeel fantastisch. De mevrouw die mij als eerste te woord stond die avond was energiek, vriendelijk en spontaan, net wat ik verwachtte. Het eten deze avond over het algemeen een "voldoende", al was het (naar mijn mening) wel een stuk minder op het gebied van smaak, beleving en keuze dan vorige keren. Na het op sommige punten zelfs matige eten was de serveerster die haar een-a-laatste avond daar werkte en uit de school klapte over werkwijzes, management en gerechten een vreemde nasmaak aan de avond. Qua menu word je tegenwoordig wat gepresst om maar richting een soort bonanza-menu te kiezen, waarbij een overdaad aan gerechtjes uit de keuken worden geserveerd. De Jamaican bone-in chicken (dijen) heeft weinig smaak, laat staan dat er iets Jamaicaans aan te proeven is, of het moet alleen de ananas zijn. De worstjes zijn veel dingen, maar sappig allerminst. De ene was qua structuur en smaak "ok", de andere met een wat dikkere buitenkant gaf een sterke nasmaak van maggi. De Mexican Mole Beef en pulled pork waren goed op smaak, de brisket overmatig gepeperd. De sausjes op tafel hielpen enigzins, als was het vrij irritant dat de nozzle van de "gewone" saus steeds verstopte op de wat dikkere delen van de saus. Het witte brood (vers) was fantastisch, de corn bread met echte mais erin was zo-zo... De gefermenteerde komkommer was eigenlijk .... komkommer. Geen zuurtje, geen pittigheid, geen zoet-zuur, geen smaak, geen crunch. De coleslaw was lekker fris, maar mist eigenlijk wat verrassends (appel, rozijnen, krenten, iets) en iets om de boel bij elkaar te houden, zoals een dressing, yoghurt..... iets... Doordat de Bonanza alleen voor 2 personen bereid kan worden en 1 van ons iets anders wilde, konden we volgens de serveerster wel een "truc" toepassen, namelijk een 2-persoons Bonanza plus de andere gekozen gerechten apart afrekenen. Daardoor waren we aan het eind van de avond met z'n 2-en bijna 200 euro lichter (inclusief drankjes (frisdrank only) en 1 nagerecht) en beiden zo'n 5 kilo zwaarder. Als laatste voor de volledigheid van het menu maar een La Bella Eclair besteld. Deze haalt het niet bij de eerder verkrijgbare "Texas Heartstopper", maar de smaak is wel ok. Uit de creme aan de binnnenkant konden we niet echt de smaak van "geroosterde aardbei en yuzu' halen, maar ik ben dan ook geen expert op het gebied van yuzu. De praline van aardbei en habanero was uiteindelijk gewoon een bol aardbeienijs. Dit was tot nu toe helaas het minst leuke/smaakvolle/lekkere bezoek. Ik hoop de volgende keer de weg naar boven weer te kunnen inzetten. Waar het restaurant de vorige keer in mijn boekje een 8,7 kreeg, komt het dit keer in mijn notitieboekje niet verder dan een magere 7.

We hadden gekozen voor de bbq bonanza. Omdat we er toch graag een steak bij wilde hebben we ook voor de strip steak gekozen om er bij te doen. Helaas kwam alles in een keer, ziet er leuk uit voor een foto maar niet om te eten. De steak was niet eens warm van binnen en de door de hoeveelheid van gerechten op tafel was alles vrij snel koud. De brisket die we kregen was 75% vet terwijl je hem als hoofdgerecht naar andere tafels zag gaan en hij er daar wel in normale vet/vlees ratio werdt geserveerd. De huid van de jerk chicken was niet krokant. Kwa smaak was alleen de pulled pork goed op smaak bij de rest was het ver te zoeken. Kwa hoeveelheid zou het meer dan genoeg zijn geweest, helaas zijn we gestopt met eten omdat alles koud was. En hierdoor zijn we met trek naar huis gegaan.

Heerlijk gegeten en super goed en leuk bediend door Sydney! Hielp ons door mee te denken en goeie suggesties te doen; kortom voor herhaling vatbaar!

Vriendelijk ontvangen in de bar. Zeer goede ambiance met de open keuken.Robin was onze topper van de bediening. Menukaart onoverzichtelijk , de meeste hadden de bbq experience teveel kruiden door elkaar. Het was te eten maar niet geweldig ofzo. We kwamen er, toen we aan het eten waren , achter dat er een bord hing waar verschillende soorten steaks hing waar we ook uit hadden kunnen kiezen. Jammer. We hebben alles op maar zaten niet echt vol na het eten. Nagerechten maar keuze uit 3 soorten (als je het raketje niet mee telt). De sfeer en het personeel is top maar wat eten betreft was het voor ons eenmalig behalve de eclair, die was erg lekker. Dit wil natuurlijk niet zeggen dat iedereen er zo over zou moeten denken want smaken verschillen nou eenmaal

Met vrij hoge verwachtingen deze kant op gegaan, omdat dit volgens de sociale media een vleeswalhalla zou zijn. De eerste indruk is goed, het is van binnen een sfeervol pand en het personeel is vriendelijk. Helaas viel de kwaliteit van het eten tegen. Zeker als je ziet wat er voor gerekend wordt. Nu hoefde ik het zelf niet te betalen, maar ik zou hier op eigen gelegenheid niet heen gaan weet ik nu. Dan tenslotte nog de bediening, die ons vanaf halverwege de avond aan ons lot over liet.

Vanaf de ingang doodgegooid worden met merchandise van de onbetwiste bbq-koning maar vervolgens voor het luttele bedrag van €400,00 de kliekjes van eerste kerstdag geserveerd krijgen. Totale deceptie. Serveersters zijn wel tof.

Primera vez con mi familia en la cena de Navidad. Fue una cena de 5 platos, que fue triste ya que no llenó el apetito de mis hijos, pero no es un gran comedor. Sin embargo, todavía no estaba lleno, así que eso fue un poco decepcionante. Teníamos una botella de Prosecco (Bolla) que era muy cara sabiendo cuánto cuesta en el supermercado (13€ . 95 ) y aquí había que pagar 3 veces como precio normal lo que es realmente ridículo! El ambiente es más para una cena informal. El servicio fue excelente.

Gezellig hier verjaardag gevierd. Heerlijk gegeten en wat een professioneel personeel. Goeie gezellige sfeer. Wij gaan hier vaker eten! Loaded fries, ribeye-steak en die bearnaisesaus zalig !

Really enjoyed it for the second time! The staff is always looking forward to it and makes a nice joke with the customers and each other. Atmosphere is super cozy and the food! Really very good!

FOOD POISONING: Been once, ate last Friday 12/6/24, nothing wrong with it. Woke up in the night and threw out everything that was in it. Only recovered today 10-12-24. Didn't order anything raw, so a very bad thing. Both my friend and I had the same as we happened to share the dishes. This should not have happened at a restaurant of this class. The last time for us.

Yesterday, December 6, 2024, we had our annual closing of the business. We arrived at 7:00 PM to all have a snack and a drink at the bar. After the first order of drinks, the trouble started. You would say that they would do everything at once, but nothing could be further from the truth. The drinks were delivered in several stages and during those stages the wrong thing was also brought several times, things that we had not ordered at all. When it was time for a second round of drinks, snacks were also ordered. We opted for 4x portion of bitterballen and 4x portion of chicken wings. For the second time, drinking was again brought into stages. The bar bites took forever to be delivered. We had a table at 8:00 PM and the bar bites were delivered at a quarter to 8, which were super tasty. It was now a quarter past 8 and we decided to ask when we could sit at the table since we were quite hungry. The group still sitting at the table was almost finished was the answer. After another fifteen minutes someone came to us and said it would take another 5 minutes. The previous group had been stuck in a traffic jam, which caused them to delay... It was 8:35 PM and we finally had a seat at the table. Where we thought we had the long table to ourselves, there turned out to be another group. A group with 8 noisy guests who were very present. The waiter came to take the drink, and guess what... Yes, everything happened in stages again and the wrong drinks were offered again. The starter was served and it went down well after that long wait! The loaded nachos were super tasty!! In the time between the starter and the main course, we were not asked once if anyone wanted a drink, a missed opportunity if you ask me. Finally we asked if we could get something to drink. Then it was time for the main course. The food and its quality were great!! Delicious brisket, delicious pulled pork and pulled beef. The sausages were tasty and the chicken was delicious. The drinks we ordered for the starter were again brought in stages and this round too, things were offered that were not for us. Once again, no one was asked in between whether everything was okay and whether everyone had been provided with drinks. Finally, someone asked again if we could order something. Then it was time for dessert. The dessert was good, but not everyone liked it. This is always a matter of taste. After dessert they came over for a round of coffee and tea. It won't surprise you, but once again everything was done in stages and again the wrong things were offered... It was now a quarter to 11 and we, together with another group, were the only ones left in the shop. The voucher was offered without asking and we got the feeling that we were being watched. Although we were allowed to sit at the table almost 40 minutes later, we were also told to leave the restaurant fifteen minutes before time... After checking the receipt, we also discovered that it contained things that we had not ordered or received. The place was completely full, but if you can't handle that crowd, offer fewer tables so that you can provide the service people can expect. I have eaten at BS several times, but this is really the last time. Apart from the food it was really something to cry about!!

Interesting talk about a burnt piece of chicken or a dry piece of pig. The tables are cleared too quickly and then you are shown out the door at 8:45 PM. In short, the meat is mediocre and the service poor. Or is this part of the worthless concept?

My partner and I are now regular customers at Black Smoke. The service is top notch, the food is very tasty and tender, but above all the atmosphere is always good!

Had dinner with friends last night, it was really great. Fast service, nice tent and friendly staff. Chosen for the: STEAK TARTARE ON FIRE + BBQ BONANZA! The meat was really tasty, wonderfully tender and soft, not overly seasoned, etc. Simply enjoyed everything that was on the table! I will definitely come back again!

We had a delicious meal. Delicious Brisket and spareribs. It is a bit pricey but it was worth it. It was nice and quiet during lunch.

A great BBQ experience. Fantastic staff that are friendly and really hard working. The ambience is great and completely in style and the food they serve out is amazing. Unfortunately wasn’t able to try everything so I have to come back again to taste the rest :-)

Made a reservation for this restaurant a long time ago. We had booked hot seats, upon arrival it seems like you are arriving at the wrong place, but if you drive further you will see the name blacksmoke with a red neon light. Once parked, we walked through a separate but very nice entrance where the smell of the BBQ immediately greets you. We were warmly welcomed and shown to our places. We ordered the menu for 2 people and everything was kindly explained to us. The chefs regularly came to chat to see if everything was to your liking. We also had spare ribs, but they fell short. This one against him was a bit dry. Still, they decided to say something. And until. To my surprise, this was handled very positively by one of the employees. He looked at it and said you're right. Give me a few minutes and I'll fix it. Well this young man kept his word within 10 minutes. There was a delicious new spare rib for us that was very tasty and juicy. We had a delicious meal in this very attractively decorated restaurant. The service was smooth and fun. All in all, definitely recommended for true meat lovers.

It looks like you're driving the wrong way to the Van Nelle factory. But the restaurant is located at the very back through the barrier. The outside seems cold, but once inside the atmosphere and cosiness are great. Food is very well prepared and tasty. We sat at the bar with a view of the "kitchen". A unique experience for a barbecue fanatic like my husband. We had a very nice evening with very tasty food in a very nice atmosphere

Great ambience! But unfortunately the price-performance ratio wasn't worth it for us. Food was ok - but not an experience. We expected more.

An excellent place to enjoy various meat specialties prepared over the fire. We really enjoyed delicious appetizers and the best Brisket I have ever eaten. More than enough and fantastically prepared. The body was a bit heavier and the wallet much lighter, but it was definitely worth it. You must try this once in your life. Very satisfied.

De sfeer binnen is leuk en het personeel vriendelijk, het was niet te druk en we werden snel geholpen. In ons gezelschap zaten 2 vegetariërs en 3 vleeseters. De gekozen vleesgerechten waren heerlijk; BLACK LABEL NY STRIP STEAK en BLACK SMOKE SIGNATURE STYLE RIBS. Van de gekozen vegetarische gerechten was de JACKFRUIT BIRRIA TACCO lekker. De TURKISH FALAFEL KEBABS zag er prachtig uit maar was absoluut NIET LEKKER, een paar hapjes ervan gegeten en daarna alleen nog maar van de patat gegeten. Conclusie: kom hier voor de vleesgerechten en leukste sfeer, maar laat de vegetarische hoofdgerechten links liggen.

There was no information on the website about a closed event that day - so we got there in vain and wasted time and money Correction: Yes, through the reservation option on the website you could have seen that there were no more free places. However, there was no indication that it was closed due to the event and unfortunately I didn't look specifically on social media.

Great restaurant but it almost feels too big for its own liking. It looses it ls personal touch. But that does not take away that the food is delicious

A restaurant that really does things right, but afterwards the disappointment prevails. First the pros: - The service is attentive, friendly and plentiful. You will receive your food on time, not too late and not too early. - The location is easily accessible with excellent parking for which you hardly pay (2.50). - The restaurant is decorated to match the theme. But disappointment still prevails, why? - Price/quality is not good. A number of our table companions opted for the extensive three-course menu (€69.90!) where you get various 'luxury' types of meat. That was just disappointing. The meat itself is simply not very tasty, which is masked with additional flavors (smoke and dressing), but that absolutely cannot disguise the mediocrity of the meat. The side dishes were minimal and uninspiring. The only vegetarian menu option was also rated as average and uninspired. All in all it was certainly not dirty or bad, but given the surroundings and pricing we all expected more. - the location is extremely noisy. Stone floors and tables that are very close together make it difficult to hear each other. It was really difficult for me to understand my tablemate who was sitting 1.5m away. Definitely not a location for a relaxing evening out.

If you like meat, you've come to the right place! The BBQ air comes to you as soon as you step inside. I will definitely come back here to try more of the menu. Had been here on a business outing. You mainly see a lot of groups that come to eat here. Because we had a group package, we received certain dishes in advance, which were good in themselves. Parking is fine here, but it is paid parking on the Van Nelle site. Service was very good too!

Was expecting a lot of the good reviews, but the main meat was quite tough and not very flavourful and the rest was ok. Have tasted better quality meat for less. And the surrounding was very loud and dark.

If you want to eat a lot, you've come to the right place. I am not a fan of the fat edges in the meat, chicken and spare ribs were full of them, but that is a personal opinion. Very friendly service, who clearly explains what they have. In terms of atmosphere, I didn't like the hard rock music that sometimes passed by. You can also sit at the bar or on the benches and enjoy the various beers.

Y la única oferta para mejorar la queja fue "¿quieres más papas fritas" (pero venimos aquí a comer carne, no papas de calidad mediocre) ¿No es la oferta de café/postre? ¿O una cerveza fría? (somos dos hombres adultos) O un descuento. Dicho esto; lo que sí conseguimos (la carne) fue muy agradable - pero por € 100 por < 500 g, también se paga. . . No volveremos, es nuestra conclusión

Well, we had a nice time at the Black Smoke Rotterdam. The service was really nice and attentive. The waitress that served us was really polite and friendly. They have a great variety of special meats and cuts, but the prices can be quite expensive. The plate we had (Ribs on the Black Smoke style) was good but not great. I do not think it is worth the price. Some of the stakes are expensive and are not served with any side dishes or small ones, so if you want anything else, you will have to pay for that. In summary, my 4 stars is more due to the price and quality of the food.

Was very tasty!! On the pricey side and there are restaurants in Rotterdam that do this slightly better for that price. Atmosphere was really great!! Music is a bit too loud.

Made a reservation 2 months ago for October 5, 7:30 PM, well, we got there a little earlier than reserved, around a quarter past 7, and around 8:30 PM we were only able to sit at the table, once at the table it took another 45 minutes before we were helped, everything ordered, it took again almost 50 minutes before eating, In addition, the food was not like American BBQ, good juicy, it tasted okay but not wow. When everything was finished, everything was suddenly taken off the table very quickly and we hurriedly asked about desserts, which was around 11:15, so we didn't feel like it because if we had to wait another half hour for dessert, it would have been 12 o'clock. Our experience at Black Smoke Rotterdam was unfortunately a big disappointment. We opted for the well-known "style brisket," but it was very disappointing. The meat was served in three fairly thin slices, was dry and the smoky smell was overpowering, completely losing the flavor. A disappointment, especially because we expected more from such a signature dish. We also ordered the "Bone Marrow Luge" for €16.50, but this was also of little value. The dish consisted of half a side of fairly small bones with hardly any bone marrow in it. In principle, this dish should consist of 2 parts. Considering the price, it felt like an expensive joke with little substance. And the photo speaks volumes: what was on the plate looked as disappointing as it tasted. The presentation was sparse with a simple, minimal garnish of coleslaw and pickle. This added to the disappointment of the dish normally known for its juiciness and deep flavour. The board it was served on looked worn, as if it had been in use for 10 years. And to top it all off, the music was way too loud, so we could barely hear each other and were forced to talk loudly. This all added up to a very disappointing experience. We expected more.

La comida era simplemente increíble. Tuve el Bone Marrow Luge, el 9 a 1 Brisket y un lado del vientre de cerdo. El ahumado y el condimento fue muy bueno. Sin duda un restaurante increíble!

Although the service was very friendly and helpful, and it is a great restaurant with a nice atmosphere, we had to wait an hour for the main course, after which we also had to ask for our fries, which came even later. Nice restaurants, good quality meat. Excellent service, good beer, too bad they don't have 500 grams of stake. I ordered 300 grams of stake, but there was certainly not 300 grams on the table. I then ordered a rack of spare ribs. Fries were good, but small portion.

During the setup of an event there, the catering was provided by black smoke. After 5 days of the same sandwiches at lunch, we were kind of done with it. Dinner was often a mixture of salad and pork in a new form that we were not very pleased with the range that was presented to us. I don't know whether that was a black smoke decision, but I do know that after a few days it was already reported that diversity was sorely missed. You will undoubtedly be able to eat a la carte there, but we were not offered that opportunity.

I would like to express my disappointment and dissatisfaction with the quality and value for money of the meal that my group and I recently enjoyed in your restaurant. For a total cost of €85, we expected a tasteful and satisfying experience, considering the cost of €42.50 per person. We were promised an assortment of meat dishes that reportedly included approximately 1 kilogram of meat. However, the reality did not meet our expectations nor the description given by your staff. The meal consisted of four chicken wings, a rack of ribs, two thin slices of brisket, a bratwurst, a bowl of baked beans, a bowl of patato wedges, a portion of coleslaw and two sauces. The quality of these dishes left much to be desired. The brisket, which should be tender and juicy, was extremely dry and resembled a rubber sole in texture once it cooled. The bratwurst closely resembled a product one could purchase at a discount supermarket, with no distinctive taste. Although the spareribs were still somewhat acceptable, they were not of a quality that justified the high price. The pulled pork was clearly substandard, with an unpleasant sweet-alcoholic and bitter taste that suggested it had been reheated several times. The chicken wings were tasteless and disappointing in number. Furthermore, the coleslaw was mediocre and the baked beans seemed to be bitter due to an unidentifiable ingredient. It is disappointing to find that not only is the quality of the food in your establishment below standard, but the experience does not match the price charged for it. The lack of taste and poor preparation of the dishes left us with a feeling of dissatisfaction. It felt like we had eaten at a fast food restaurant, but at an exorbitant price, where even fast food chains like McDonald's offer a better taste experience. Based on this experience, I can only conclude that your restaurant unfortunately does not meet the expectations of a satisfactory culinary experience, given the high prices and substandard quality of the food. The atmosphere, appearance and service of this restaurant were good. The food, on the other hand... We ordered a medium cooked steak and spare ribs. Both served way too well done. After indicating this to the waiter, we received a new steak that was practically raw and they had also forgotten the pepper sauce. Dessert (eclair and American pie) was nothing special and not exactly fresh. The flatbread beforehand was very tasty. Overall, we expected more and we won't be back here anytime soon…

Place appeared very buzzing, nice decor. Had to book over a week in advance. But waited over 20min to be served a drink and gave up. They vanished after taking us to the table. I left. Disappointed. I never tried the food, but hope everyone else enjoyed it.

Amazing atmosphere, nicely done up. Service was super friendly. Some menu items a bit so-so, brisket was dry and needs work. Ribs were good though.

The 70 euro menu was a bit low for us, especially for this price we expected to be full. Here to compensate, with an angry look, I received some extra sausages. Unfortunately, those who ate the extra meat also became ill. Not for us again unfortunately.

Het menu van 70 euro was voor ons wat weinig, zeker voor deze prijs verwachtte we toch goed vol te zitten. Hier ter compensatie, met een boze blik, wat extra worsten gekregen. Helaas zijn degene die van het extra vlees hebben gegeten ook ziek geworden. Niet voor herhaling voor ons helaas.

All food is great. However avoid the brisket, it was dry and reheated which is a big mistake.

Teníamos grandes expectativas, pero nos fuimos sintiéndonos bastante decepcionados. Fuimos aquí a cenar ya que nos encanta barbacoa. La camarera que tenemos era tan agradable y ella recomendó algunas bebidas que eran muy buenos. El menú en sí es un poco confuso para ser honesto. La comida está bien, nada que escribir a casa, por desgracia. Por lo que se obtiene, todo es demasiado caro. El ambiente del lugar bordeaba el lado gimmicky. Debería haber sido un regalo muerto ya que lugares decorados como ese suelen servir comida mediocre, cerveza demasiado cara, y las ensaladas y patatas fritas suelen ser guarniciones que tienes que comprar (no vienen con la comida a pesar de los altos precios). No puedo recomendar, desafortunadamente. Ahorre dinero, tiempo y elija otro lugar - Rotterdam tiene muchos otros buenos lugares para cenar.

Het vlees was fantastisch, met de brisket als absoluut hoogtepunt. Zo mals dat het in je mond smolt. De bediening was snel en attent, en gaf bij elk gerecht een duidelijke uitleg over wat je had besteld en hoe je het beste kon eten. Het is aan de prijzige kant, maar voor vlees van deze kwaliteit is dat begrijpelijk. Zeker een aanrader!

Amazing meal at Black Smoke. One of the best places for meat and BBQ lovers. Open kitchen and a nice cozy atmosphere in the restaurant. They serve good quality meat, well prepared. Would visit again.

Great restaurant with the same staff! The chef came to the table afterwards with a glass of homemade limoncello. Very tasty meal!

3 people ate, paid 370.-. Price quality not really in proportion. Waiting a long time for the drinks, constantly chasing after them, then again incomplete on the table (dishes and drinks). Not once were we proactively asked if we wanted anything else, which I think is special as a guest. No match unfortunately for a repeat visit.

In one word, great. Definitely come back here.

The location is great! The description on the website was not fulfilled in practice. Hot seats are chairs at the bar where you can watch the bored men behind the BBQ frying the meat. We chose the extensive menu, which was not surprising in terms of taste and because everything came to the table at once, not warm as you would expect. Nice to see once but not worth going back.

What a great experience at Black Smoke. We came here from Overijssel and it was worth every kilometer. Nice welcome, nice cozy restaurant in real (American) barbeque style with lots of wood, steel, fire and good music. The food was delicious. The layout is very nice, a lot of attention has been paid to this. We would like to leave another message for Nadine, she helped, advised and served us so well and energetically. She made the experience completely complete. Super!!

Nice, nice staff. Full BBQ experience for 5 people was just a bit on the meager amount. Could really use some more. But it was tasty!

Das Ambiente im Black Smoke ist besonders und sehr cool, man kann hier mit Essen, Trinken und Musik einen klasse Abend verbringen. Wir waren eine sehr große Gruppe von geschäftsreisenden Kollegen und das BS kam super damit klar. Vor allem der Garten ist wunderschön zum Sitzen. Die Gerichte sind besonders und nicht unbedingt das, was die meisten mit einem BBQ Joint verbinden, also hervorragendes Fleisch, sehr hochwertige Vorspeisen und Hauptspeisen, nur eben nicht unbedingt BBQ... Volle Empfehlung aber für einen besonderen Abend und das tolle Erlebnis.

Was actually a little disappointed as I had very high hopes for this one. The setting is very nice on the inside and the bar is very extensive but that was it for me really. The flavour of the ribs was fantastic but they did involve a fair bit of chewing. Also the potato was fairly underdone. Would maybe try something else next time but yeah, underwhelming.

We had a great meal here and it was very nice to experience the BBQ experience as a BBQ enthusiast. The only downside perhaps was that the waitress was barely bearable due to her foreign accent in a noisy environment.

Delicious meal outside, good service, your tummy will be full here, so to speak.

Supper nice thing. The brisket was delicious. It's quite an experience, it's a bit of an afterthought, but it's definitely worth going there once

We had a great meal. However, for a BBQ/smoker restaurant I expected much more. We had taken a menu that included several dishes. The brisket was especially disappointing. Little smoke ring to be seen and could have been much more tender. Our pieces of brisket still had quite a lot of fatty edges. If it had really been on the smoker that long, the fat would have “melted”. For those who are not BBQ connoisseurs, you can enjoy a great meal here

Had a good meal at Black Smoke Rotterdam. An unusual entrance that exactly reflects the fact that it is a BBQ restaurant. Very attractive and cozy interior. I did find the tables a bit close together, which meant there was little privacy. Ultimately we went for a 3 course menu which was well priced. It was a wonderful taste sensation!

Paid €188.00 for 2 people. You order a 3-course menu which is only made if you order this with 2 people. You pay €69.99 per person. You only get 1 portion of fries and 1 portion of salad. Jerk chicken wasn't jerk chicken either. Unfortunately not a pleasant experience.

Nice industrial location for trendy BBQ Restaurant. You come here for the delicious meat.

I had lunch here with two friends. The food was good, the environment is hip and cool. I think the price/quality ratio is out of proportion: high prices, good food, but small portions. I thought the service was average. Some examples; Signature ribs eur 27.50 9 to 1 brisket eur 33.50 NY Comics eur 36.50 Fancy Frisian eur 6 Parking costs eur 2.50 For prices like these I eat in above-average restaurants, for example Bib Gourmand from the Michelin guide. All in all a nice experience for once, but not worth repeating.

Well, in a word, great. Delicious food, nice service from a cheerful guy, attractive decor. We had the BBQ Bonanza. Highly recommended. The food is quite expensive.

I love this... A BBQ restaurant with fire and smoke. Where you can look at the chef's fingers from the Hotseat and ask him anything about techniques, flavors, preparations, etc... The style is a bit man cave... We enjoyed it again. And we have gained a lot of ideas for my own BBQ outdoor kitchen. Both in techniques, presentation and preparations.

For the real BBQ enthusiast in a unique location!! Great meal!
