Very friendly service, good lunch, very nice restaurant

Had coffee and a pastry two weeks ago. Unfortunately, the rhubarb pastry was disappointing. Lacked flavor. Great location and courteous service.

We sat there wonderfully by the water. Incredibly friendly service. The brunch was surprisingly good: Frisian rye bread with beetroot spread and strawberries. Or have the banana bread, warm with a lovely cream. And to top it all off: the best cappuccino ever 🤩

It tasted so good, but some of the prices were too high. Nevertheless, everything was wonderful. The service was very fast, and all in all, the experience was marvelous. 🫧🫱🏻‍🫲🏾💛

The food was absolutely delicious and prepared with great care. It was clear that great emphasis was placed on quality and flavor. The service was also very friendly, attentive, and courteous, making us feel immediately welcome and comfortable. The entire restaurant's ambiance is tastefully and lovingly furnished. The decor is harmonious and creates a pleasant, cozy atmosphere where one enjoys spending time. The cleanliness of the entire establishment was also particularly noteworthy. Even the restrooms were very well-maintained and hygienically clean. Overall, the restaurant leaves a thoroughly positive and very inviting impression.

Had a delicious meal here! We had a frapuccino, an iced chai latte, and a Lotus Speculoos latte. The drinks were super tasty! For food, we had a bread board with dips and nachos with pulled chicken. These were great too! We received great service from the staff and there was a good atmosphere on the terrace. 10/10 definitely recommended 😝😝😝😝!

The service was good and we were helped well, but we found the food and drinks a bit disappointing, although that could also be down to taste. For drinks, we had matcha with raspberry puree and iced coffee with caramel. The iced coffee was great! But we couldn't taste much of the raspberry puree in the matcha. For food, we had the club blend and the chicken avocado focaccia. The chicken avocado focaccia was very tasty, but we found the club blend disappointing. We could hardly taste the bacon and egg; all the flavor was that avocado cream. A shame. :/ Also, it didn't say what kind of bread it was served on, and we were a bit confused when we got corn bread haha. Otherwise, we had a fine meal 🙌

Had a wonderful meal tonight at Blend – a beautiful location in the center of Bolsward. An old building has been beautifully decorated with lots of wood, soothing colors, and plants. The service is friendly and attentive, and the food arrives at just the right time. Not too slow, nor too fast, so you can enjoy a relaxed evening out. If you're in a hurry, McDonald's is a better choice. The menu has few options – which I appreciated, as it reduces the stress of making a choice. The minor drawbacks I encountered are almost unmentionable. My table was a bit unstable – when I was cutting through a tough crust, I had to be careful not to spill my beer. And the pickled vegetables were repeated on both my dishes, which I found rather unoriginal – but the taste was excellent – ​​so hardly worth mentioning!

Lunch was good, dinner was much less so. We won't be back. Update after the owner's response. There were four of us, three of whom had the stew. All three found it too salty. Tastes differ, but all three? I had the crispy chicken, which was tender, but the crispy crust of seeds and kernels was too coarse and not tasty (tastes differ), and the rice was overcooked. The vegetables (spaghetti) were good. Oh well, as a chef, I (almost) always have to make comments.

What makes this place extra special is that Blend Eten en Drinken is part of By Pimpé, a care and training company for people with intellectual disabilities. They offer a pleasant and valuable work environment for this wonderful group. It's wonderful to see how hospitality and social engagement go hand in hand here. A definite must-see if you're in Bolsward!

Nachos with mixed cheese, tomato salsa, spring onion guacamole, chili crème fraîche, and pulled chicken for two. Really delicious. Beautiful fresh ingredients and perfectly round nachos. More than enough for two! Great service and a great atmosphere.

Delicious food, wonderful coffee, and delightful Frisian specialty beers. What makes it perfect for me is that it's a learning environment where people with intellectual disabilities can enjoy working. Absolutely fantastic.

Nice place to have a bite to eat and/or a drink. Drinks arrived fairly quickly, but the food took quite a while. I also thought the portions were a bit small. The service wasn't very quick to clear away empty plates, glasses, etc., to make room for the main course.

Delicious food with friendly service

Service was excellent. The glass of wine and cappuccino were good. Unfortunately, the toasted sandwiches weren't what we expected. My wife left part of hers. The toasted sandwich was burnt on the side...even black. The chicken tasted subpar. My complaint was heard at checkout, but no further compensation was offered, even after I explained that this was our third lunch here. We also asked why the hamburger was no longer on the menu...it was delicious then. All in all, I'm considering coming back for lunch.

Pleasant terrace in the sun for a long time. Good coffee. Unfortunately, we were too late for appetizers. They aren't served when it's dinnertime and busy. The meal we requested arrived very late.

Relaxing on the terrace in the afternoon; good and friendly service. We also made reservations for dinner. Unfortunately, I had a bad experience with the sea bass with risotto and fennel. The halved fennel was unsightly and raw. The risotto was also overcooked and had become a "bite-sized" lump. The sea bass was bland but otherwise okay. We reported this to the staff, but unfortunately, nothing was done about it. A small gesture would have been appropriate.

Great location with excellent staff. They're quick and helpful. The food selection is original and delicious. All in all, worth a visit if you're planning a day out in Bolsward and the surrounding area.

Super nice place! We had a delicious lunch here. We had the club blend and a sandwich with spicy prawns. Definitely recommended! The coffee is also delicious and the staff super friendly. There's also a lovely terrace right outside. The location is right in the city center, so parking in front is a bit tricky, but there's plenty of parking nearby. We'll definitely be back!

When it's busy, it takes too long to get something. Hire more staff, otherwise they'll all get stressed out and leave.

Restaurant next to the museum. Small terrace by the water. Friendly service. We didn't eat anything, but the menu looked good. Reservations are recommended for dinner.

The charming restaurant Blend is located in the old City Hall. It opened in 1617 and was last renovated in 2020. A cultural center is located next to the former City Hall, along with an adjoining museum. We didn't make it that far. We settled into a corner at a round wooden table and marveled at the centuries-old ceiling beams, the thick walls, and the modern decor, which together created a balanced, tasteful atmosphere. Add to that the very friendly, professional staff, and, not to forget, the meals that were delicious, vegetarian (ours), and original. In short: highly recommended if you ever find yourself in Bolsward.

We had dinner at Blend in Bolsward tonight. E. had the classic burger, and I had the short ribs. We sat outside at a table on Wipstraat. It had a lovely summery atmosphere. Two lovely waitresses were very attentive. Nothing to complain about. The quality of the food was excellent. In short, definitely worth going back!

we were here in the summer, at lunchtime, the hall was full (so better make reservation), but they found a place for us. The zucchini waffles were very original, and just look at this cookie in a glass (so cute). We made good memories here. When the customers who came in long after us were helped immediately, we left. Beautiful location but unfortunately we couldn't order anything.

Had a drink last Thursday, August 13, and ordered a portion of nachos. Really bad...small plate of nachos and a tiny bit of cheese with tomato. Separately, a mini bowl of avocado puree. 12.95 euros!!!! Not even for one person. Really ridiculously high price!!!!!

Had a nice meal there. It's a pity that the bread for the toast was a bit hard and that you had to ask for sugar with coffee and salt and pepper, but as soon as you asked for it you immediately got it from the friendly service. A unique location for sure. Nice lunch
