We stayed at the motorhome site for 2 days and unfortunately only ate here on the 2nd evening. Very tasty food and extremely friendly service. We would love to come back.

Apparently I'm having luck with food this week, just like tonight at De Kajuit. The terrace is full of people, it is warm and cozy in the summer. The menu is extensive and even includes 'senior' portions. I went for the chicken skewer. Salad from the salad bar (well taken care of!), side dishes, fries, fried potatoes, sauce, mayo. A senior can eat almost twice of this. Fine! Very friendly staff and fast service. I will definitely come back here again! Compliment! Keep it up!

The fish dishes were very tasty and perfectly fried. The side dishes were plentiful and beautifully presented. I particularly liked the self-service at the salad bar.

Excellent food, especially the spare ribs

There are senior meals and that is excellent if you are not a big eater when you are older. If only there were more restaurants that also included this.

We've been coming here for several years now! We award at least ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for the food, the nice, consistent and super friendly team and for the super nice chefs.. it's always like coming to friends. The food is super tasty and of a very high standard! We always look forward to eating there when we are in Sneek.

We were here for the first time and will definitely come back. Nice service, not pushy. And a delicious meal. We will definitely come back to this pleasantly decorated store.

It was a great sunny day and we sat outside at one of the free tables. When we ordered we were told that food would not be served outside after sunset because it would be too cold then. A bit excessive for my opinion, because I think I can decide for myself whether I'm cold or not. Everything inside was full, so no food for us. It's a shame, because the location of the restaurant is actually very nice and what we could see on the plates at the neighboring tables (outside) looked quite good. Unfortunately, this is how you scare away guests.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Restaurant De Kajuit in Sneek. The marina location offers beautiful views that perfectly complement the dining experience. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive, and the food was excellent. I was particularly impressed by the cocktails, which were prepared with creativity and care. The cleanliness and maritime ambience of the restaurant also contributed to an all-round successful visit. I can fully recommend De Kajuit.

A very beautiful, maritime-style restaurant with a view of the "Jachthaven De Domp." The very friendly waitress served us "fried zander fillet with mustard and herb sauce" and "surf and turf salad" (fillet with teriyaki and scampi with chili sauce) for lunch yesterday. Today (King's Day) we were fortunately able to get a table without a reservation at the cozy restaurant De Kajuit! And what a great time we had! We felt welcome, enjoyed the atmosphere and the food: asparagus with salmon! Despite the fact that it was super busy, we were served well/quickly and the staff was very friendly. A big ten for the owner, the serving/kitchen staff and the top chef(s)! We will definitely come back to you ; )

Nice location, food was tasty, atmosphere was cozy. The interior looks a bit old-fashioned, but that makes the atmosphere very cozy. You don't have the feeling that you are in a neighborhood in Sneek at all, but a real holiday feeling.

Music far too present. We were not served the food at the same time. Quality of vegetarian dish very poor. Spare ribs not tasty either. Other dishes were good. Fried potatoes were tasty. We had high expectations after all the positive reviews. But we won't be going back anytime soon.

We were here for the first time today. And we have to say... it was soooo great! The owners (we assume - father and son) are super attentive and friendly. But the staff is also super nice and friendly. The food was super delicious... my wife ordered the carpaccio twice...as a starter and dessert!😂. We'll definitely be back!!! A little tip...reserving is very important as it is very busy.

The undersigned lives in the Veluwe there are plenty of game restaurants there. Here in Sneek, near the Sneekermeer, my idea was to order the pike-perch. Went for the game menu. No regrets. Beautifully pink fried deer steak. Very nice employees and a nicely decorated place. Was packed...HIGHLY recommended

We arrived at the parking space today. We wanted to have a drink and something to eat. What can you say: Very tasty food… Great service and the restaurant is very cozy. Every table was occupied and we had to wait at the counter. That's how it should be. Very highly recommended. Those days will definitely come again.

Twice a year I come from Amsterdam to De Kajuit especially for a bite to eat. We are no longer customers but we have become family.

Music that is too loud should be background music. Snitzels were very dry, probably left under heat lamps for too long. Dame blanche fine ice cream. Service, 3 different people serve you, first clear the table and then bring the dessert.

The restaurant 'De Kajuit' in Sneek has been our restaurant for decades. First-class food at a high level. The ambience and the view of the harbor - great. We are always happy to be there again. Reservation recommended. Open from 11 a.m. in high season.

For the second time with the ship at anchor and for the second time completely thrilled! The restaurant: a dream - you can only find a better ambience in the travel catalogue. The staff? So nice that you almost want to make them crew. The food? To kneel down! And as if that wasn't enough: the berths right in front of the door - you couldn't get more VIP than that. Clean sanitary facilities in the harbor round off the whole thing. Conclusion: You don't just eat here, you like to anchor here... and preferably forever!

We were a party of six. We all agreed that the food was excellent. The helpings were generous. We had an eight year old in our party . It was her birthday and the staff provided a really nice celebration to mark the occasion. I highly recommend this restaurant.

We visited this special place several times last summer, even though it was quite busy, they always found a spot for our group. The owner is friendly and helpful, as are the staff who really do their best to make you happy. Location is easily accessible but not noticeable from the water or the road, so you really have to know where to go. The disadvantage of all these words of praise is that it will be more difficult to find a spot on the beautiful terrace next summer ;-)

Four of us were there for lunch at the end of August. After the senior manager agreed, we reserved a fixed table with a view of the harbor for the evening. When we arrived there in the evening, the table was occupied and the boss said - contrary to what he had promised at lunchtime - that it was not possible to reserve a fixed table. We had to wait at the bar until a table became available. A free drink would have been appropriate as an apology here. 20 minutes later we were assigned another table. When we asked the boss that it wasn't the table we had reserved, he reacted very rudely (cholerically) and took the menu back from us with the words: "We can leave it alone." After a while he came back and asked if we still wanted to eat. We ate well, but that's not how you want to be treated as a guest. We cannot recommend this restaurant because of the unfriendly boss.

A bit of hassle with whether or not to make a reservation, but still got a table. Bavette and sole were delicious! The fried potatoes were very well done.......the fork was no longer needed. Pineapple crumble was very refreshing.

Sunday August 11th On the advice of Ids and Selma from Bootverhoor Hospes Sneek, our wonderful sailing holiday ended with an excellent dinner at "De Kajuit". An excellent dinner, well-organized service and an extremely amiable host provided a more than wonderful ending to our sailing adventure. In our opinion, the very good chef deserves special attention and appreciation. Unfortunately we don't live near Sneek, otherwise "De Kajuit" would certainly have become our favorite café/restaurant. Enjoy a snack and a drink in a wonderfully quiet place by the water. Slightly out of the center and therefore a relaxed atmosphere.

Sit comfortably on the beautiful terrace; nice and very attentive service, congratulations, Emma! Delicious sole served with a good glass of sauvignon blanc. Salad bar is great! We would love to come back again.

Great terrace at the marina where you can enjoy drinks and food. Small menu with sufficient choice of meat, fish and vegetarian dishes. Possibility to opt for senior portions, such as a fish dish with 2 instead of 3 soles and a smaller, but still good sized tournedos. Hot side dishes are standard and there is an additional option to use the salad bar including delicious rhubarb. Dining on the terrace is a treat.

Today, after our second visit to Kajuit, we can fully agree with the many good reviews. In a nice atmosphere, after being welcomed by the boss Harald and looked after by the attentive and friendly waiting staff, we were able to enjoy the delicious dinner in the Kajuit.

We arrived at the location and we did not make a reservation. It was extremely busy. There was only room outside. Suddenly the chef said if you are quick I can arrange a table inside. We had a main course and a dessert. There was fast friendly service. And the food was of good quality. That's why they get a big 10

De Kajuit is a harbor restaurant lovingly furnished by its operator with a great, friendly team. The food was excellent and lovingly prepared. The team and even the boss asked us whether everything was to our satisfaction or whether there was anything missing. You rarely experience that! We will definitely come back.

What a good restaurant! We were standing at the camper place and thought there must be a table available, we probably don't need to make a reservation. At 6 p.m. the entire restaurant was already full. After consultation a place is possible at 8 p.m. Luckily we waited because the wait was rewarded. Really good staff with a clear passion for the catering industry. Children were also really well looked after with a special bag with fun things in it to keep them entertained. All in all a great evening, waiting is really rewarded 😀
