Best Smashed Burger ever... Super tasty!! Definitely recommended. With fast and friendly service and a cozy ambiance, we had a delicious meal here after a day of boating on the Frisian lakes.

We had a delicious meal in the conservatory. The salad bar was well-presented. Friendly and helpful staff (regarding allergies). Beautiful spot in the marina. Highly recommended! We will definitely be back!

Dogs also eat here, both on and at the table.

I have been here three times with family and out of the 10 beers we ordered about half were short. Finally I got fed up and asked the waitress to check the glass as it was short. My wife's was short as well. She told me it wasn't short without even looking at the glass. I told her that I could see it was short. She got down another empty glass and showed me where the line was. I showed her that my beer was below that line. She didn't even look at the beer and told me it was full, as of I didn't have my own eyeballs. I didn't even bring up the fact that my wife's was short too. I paid the bill and left. I would have told the owner except the first time we were shorted he was the one who served the beers. I can only assume that the servers are trained to short the glasses by the owner himself.

Everything here is just perfect!! The food is excellent, the staff is incredibly friendly, and the atmosphere—both inside and out—is simply superb. We'll definitely be back. The campsite next door is also highly recommended.

Friday evening and it was quite busy. It's a shame that smoking was allowed on the terrace. It really ruined my appetite. I had the Indonesian-style pulled chicken Roedjak. I love Indonesian food, but this was just pulled chicken in something saucy with white rice and absolutely not Indonesian! A pity again. Not even Indonesian.

We had the spare ribs... a huge portion, we took almost half to go because it was so much, and the price was absolutely fair. It was served with fries, cauliflower, and roasted potatoes. They apparently offer refills of the sides if you want them. The interior has a great nautical atmosphere, although it's a bit noisy, but that doesn't detract from the delicious food. Highly recommended, as the value for money is fantastic!

After having eaten here several times, we expected to receive a tasty meal. But unfortunately, the service and the kitchen were having an off day. We ordered a bread roll as a starter but didn't receive one. The rujak was tasteless, watery, and contained pulled chicken instead of pieces of chicken. The smashburger was lukewarm, and there was no separate cutlery with the fish. The soup is highly recommended, though unfortunately, there was no piece of bread with it either. All in all, a big disappointment. As a result, we didn't order dessert. There was no response when paying the bill either. Unfortunately, it seemed as if the staff had no time or attention.

Great harbor restaurant, concise menu, but it has everything you need: meat, fish, and vegetarian dishes. There's a salad bar, and all main courses come with fries, fried potatoes, and vegetables. The food is delicious. Worth a visit even for those not staying in the harbor or camping.

Beautiful location and delicious food in a superb atmosphere.

We rented a sloop with 5 people; highly recommended. You are out on open water in no time and can enjoy a beautiful cruise. But we also regularly eat or have lunch at De Kajuit (be sure to make a reservation); it is always good. The previous owner was perfect; Reinder is now taking over and fortunately continues this in terms of atmosphere and hospitality. Highly recommended in Sneek.

We stayed at Camping De Domp from April 24th to 28th, 2026, and ate at the restaurant quite often. Great atmosphere, very friendly and attentive team. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back. See you next time! :-)

Had a delicious meal for my dad's birthday! First, had a beer outside in the sun by the water, then went inside to eat. It was really cozy, the staff were nice, and the food was REALLY tasty! This restaurant was already top-notch, but it seems to be getting even better. I'll be going here more often!

We ate at De Kajuit yesterday and today, and what a fantastic experience it was! From the moment we walked in, we felt welcome thanks to the friendly and attentive service. The atmosphere is cozy and relaxed, really nice for a night out. The food was truly delicious. The dishes were flavorful, freshly prepared, and beautifully presented. You can taste that attention and love went into the kitchen. The view of the water is also great. If the weather is nice, you can enjoy sitting on the terrace. In short, highly recommended for anyone in Sneek looking for a tasty and pleasant evening. We will definitely be back here again!

The food here is really good in a beautiful location… we'll definitely be back… we enjoyed our meal and it was less crowded than in the center of Sneek… we ate on the terrace, sheltered from the wind and in the sunshine, and were very happy with our choices… the vis salad was particularly good, but the schnitzel was also very juicy and the burger was delicious… the burrata salad was sophisticated but more of a light snack…

We rented a room here for farewell drinks, and it was very cozy and pleasant in the cabin. The service was superb! Snacks were brought around, and if a glass was empty, someone came by immediately to ask if you wanted anything else. All in all, very good service. Thank you!

Very friendly service, despite being fully packed we've been attended to excellently. The flavour of all dished was spot on, the quantity of the main dish was making it necessary to eat the sides, but that's why there are sides. Good espresso as well.

Eaten. Too bad the vegetable sprouts were bitter and the potato was very hard-boiled. The bread board was fine.

During a short stay at the Makkum Beach Resort, we were looking for a nice restaurant for Sunday evening. My wife stumbled across this place while searching. It's located in Sneek, just outside the town center, by the marina. Parking is available in front of the restaurant. Luckily, we had made a reservation, as the restaurant was fully booked. Despite the large number of guests, the service was quick and incredibly friendly. The menu was relatively small, but the food was delicious. Prices were reasonable, not overly expensive. If we're ever in the area again, we'll definitely visit De Kajuit again!

We eat here every year during our holidays. It's especially cool when you dock your boat in the harbor. Sailor-themed atmosphere, good food, and a great selection of specialty beers. Plus, the Königsallee sign above the cash register gives it a real homey feel :) Tot ziens!

I dined here with a group of nine people. One of the guests is a lactose-free diner. This was taken seriously from the start, and the staff accommodated us very politely and effortlessly. Both the explanations of the dishes and the alternatives offered made us feel truly well-informed. The overall experience was excellent. The atmosphere was pleasant, the staff exceptionally friendly, and the service very attentive. The food was also of high quality and beautifully presented. In short: we had a wonderful evening. A restaurant I can absolutely recommend!

Honestly, we've never eaten such delicious spare ribs. We were truly blown away and completely stuffed! One tiny drawback: it was very loud. Nevertheless, we give it 5 stars and highly recommend it!

I can't help but give my all! Food is fantastic! The boneless rib with mango chutney on a bun tastes fantastic! Worth the 12-hour wait! The meat is fantastic! Friendly staff, nice clean restaurant on the water! I'd recommend going there soon.

The chicken skewers marinated in yogurt dressing were delicious and exceptionally tender! The Austrian Riesling complemented the dish perfectly. The affogato coffee with Grand Marinier made for a perfect ending. And the service was prompt and very friendly!

The service was very friendly and attentive. The food itself was good, but unfortunately, everything was swimming in (olive) oil. This message didn't sit well with Johnny Bravo, in his tight turtleneck. "The chef doesn't use olive oil. I'll let you know. They'll take that into account from now on." We don't need it anymore. Fish in oil is understandable, but with tournedos, it's a bit less so. Too bad, it's a nice spot, but a one-off for us.

This restaurant is simply more than recommended – we return there regularly. Tonight we arrived tired and worn out, and the place was packed. The host offered us a later time slot and promised to let us know if a table became available earlier – even right next to our boat. And sure enough: a short time later, completely soaked by the rain, he knocked on the door to give us the good news. What service – simply fantastic!

Beautiful location with a view of the marina, a surprising menu, many tasty and beautifully presented dishes, and fast and efficient service.

First, the good news. The restaurant has a really nice ambiance with seating inside, in a winter garden, and outside on the terrace. Our server was very nice and accommodating. The lunch menu was varied, including vegetarian dishes. The only vegan options, however, were a slice of apple pie and an appetizer from the dinner menu. A baked beetroot on a very small amount of finely shredded iceberg lettuce. I hadn't ordered it as a starter; it was supposed to be my lunch, but unfortunately, no salad or bread was offered. The food tasted good. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio wasn't right here. Once, and never again. What a shame.

Had a wonderful meal with colleagues at De Kajuit tonight. The service was absolutely spot on! I dropped my knife, and before I could even pick it up, they offered me a new, clean one. Now that's what I call top-notch service!

A favorite in Sneek, a charming, authentic restaurant by the water. It's become a regular family meal during the first weekend of Sneek Week (I'd recommend making a reservation). Three birthdays that evening, the music starts up and the whole restaurant sings along, as if everyone knows the birthday person (I have no idea...). I'm talking about the atmosphere.

We enjoyed our dinner with the family. We received a warm welcome from Harold upon arrival, and the entire evening was well-cared for by the excellent service. The atmosphere is fantastic and the decor is very pleasant, with plenty to see.

A restaurant we often enjoyed visiting. Unfortunately, tonight wasn't a success. It was very busy, and the waitress asked if we could order our main course. We quickly finished the bread platter, but it took another hour for the main course to arrive. I didn't find the food particularly special. The steak was overcooked and tasteless, and the fries were hard and dry. The salad from the salad bar was, however, as usual and tasty. Too bad, we were all quite disappointed with the food.

Suitable for a cozy getaway for two, but also suitable for larger groups. Highly recommended. Reservations are recommended for larger groups to avoid any disappointment.

What a nice restaurant, located at the marina. Enthusiastic, disciplined staff. Menu with something for everyone. And very special: senior portions possible. Extensive salad buffet available. All of this of good quality at a reasonable price. A real recommendation.
