Blommers Coffee Brewers in Wijk 05 Nijmegen-Midden

⭐⭐⭐ Blommers Radboud is a gem for coffee lovers. Their baristas use a state‑of‑the‑art lever espresso machine to pull perfectly balanced shots, and the filter brews are just as good. The café in the Radboud hospital entrance feels cosy despite the clinical surroundings, and the cinnamon buns are worth a try. One caveat: the card reader prompts for tips; Dutch café culture doesn’t usually require tipping, so feel free to skip it.

The coffee is good; I always enjoyed going to the old location. Unfortunately, I had a very rude conversation with the owner: one day I went to the other location to ask if I could hang a flyer by the door (free activity in the library, about human rights). "No," he said curtly, frowning at me, as did the rest of the staff. It was perfectly fine not to want to, but the curtness made for a very awkward situation. "Okay, no problem, of course," I said, and tried to make small talk to end it on a positive note, but I wasn't responded to, just stared at. I left with a walk of shame and a bad feeling.

The Bloomers coffee shop in the Sports center was the coolest specialty coffee place we had visited during our 3 week long coffee tasting trip. The owner and baristas were very nice and they explained a lot about their love for coffee. We were lucky enough to taste a beautifully made V60. It encouraged us to visit NYMA and it was awesome!

My regular coffee moment and with me many other employees at Radboud University. The coffee is really good. Always a nice chat or a delicious snack available. This is the essence of the Elinor Ostrom building. Nowadays they also have coffee soft ice cream. Definitely worth a try ☕💕

I bought an Espresso machine from Blommers, but it turned out not to be for us. Fortunately, it was no problem to return the machine. Thank you for your flexibility!

The cappuccino is so damn good. Very cosy place with sockets.

This is a great find on the university campus, the coffee and cakes are excellent. Good tea selection too!
