Meer dan twee uur gewacht tot de soep arriveerde. Meerdere malen gevraagd of ze een drankje konden opnemen ook dit was helaas niet hun specialiteit . Ff een pen en papier halen duurde ongeveer een half uur. Helaas ook geen mededelingen dat het wat langer duurde of een of andere mededeling. Al met al een zeer teleurstellend bezoek aan restaurant Boeddha

The quality has deteriorated step by step. Also the type of dishes. Nasi resembles white rice and consists of 2 cubes of meat and 2 pieces of leek in a whole container. Fried bananas were missing. Satay sauce watery. And the taste of babi pangang and foe yong hai have become very neutral. Moreover, despite ordering early, the wait was long and the dishes were downright cold.

We were here a week ago and really enjoyed it! Also very friendly service.

Takeaway meal, tasty and good price

Delicious food, as always expected from Buddha. This time we ate on site: good atmosphere, very friendly staff. We have a multi-course Shanghai menu with various main dishes. Ice cream and finally Chinese tea and super delicious coffee, including whipped cream and liqueur. In short, I went home feeling very satisfied. We will definitely come back.

We always liked to go to Nasr Buddha to get food. The taste was good and the portions were generous. Unfortunately, we noticed that the prices went up, but the portions also became smaller. At a certain point we felt that the price was no longer in balance with the portions. So we started trying to see what the competition is like. We soon realized that the portions of the competition are better. If you look at the satay, at least you get whole chunks of meat on skewers at "De Chinese Muur" in Velden. You need a high container for that. At Buddha's we received a bowl of 3 cm high. There were 6 skewers in there. These skewers had 3 small pieces of meat on them that together would be 1 piece in the competition. Not only did we fill ourselves up, but we also didn't eat with taste. Because we were in the mood for noodles and nasi spring rolls and these kidneys are available everywhere, we got them from Buddha. With a portion of satay. We decided during dinner not to do this anymore. The outside of the spring roll looked delicious. Inside he was mealy and soggy. The spring rolls were a lot smaller than the last time we ordered them and they just contained white rice and loose noodles. And yes, I know that fried rice is just fried white rice. But you don't actually expect it to be anything other than what you get in a bowl. The same applies to the noodles. This was the case in the past. Now it's just a boring piece of dough with a strip of omelette, some crumbled meat and a generous tablespoon of rice or noodles. There was no color or taste at all... The satay was tasty but, for the money, it was not enough. For the time being, we prefer to go to the competition.

At a Chinese restaurant on Wednesday evening. Not the most spectacular or pleasant time. But if you come for the food, you're in the right place!

Been a customer for years. Last 3 times I had to wait 30, 40, and 45 minutes. I wasn't the only one either. You order an hour in advance for a pick-up time, and they only make it up to 3 times when you come to pick it up. And to our surprise the food was no longer tasty. Previously, none of the above was really a shame. Small positive emergency, the young lady at the cash register tried to make the best of it, but also said she knew that this was really not possible. Come on budah, I would like to give this review more stars and will do so on our last attempt if it is back to normal.

Portions are getting smaller and smaller. The food is becoming more and more expensive. But the taste is okay. Chinese is not what it used to be.

Always tasty and worth the wait

That was a disaster... It took a while until we finally got the card and we had to ask for it twice. The light above the table was broken and we had to ask that the candle at the table not be lit. We decided on a menu, the dishes looked promising and we were very hungry. After waiting an hour, we each received a cup of soup, and we had to wait another 40 minutes for the next course. There was some duck meat and fine strips of vegetables, of course we started eating straight away, the waitress said she would bring the “pancakes” straight away. 10 minutes later the waitress came with the dough for the rolls and a sauce and asked why we were already eating because we were supposed to roll the filling into the dough. I found it misleading that rolls were called pancakes, but you could have brought the two plates at the same time if both were part of the same dish. After another half hour we just wanted to go home, I told the waitress that we would take the rest packed up because it was taking far too long. The waitress was surprised, apologized, but said that it was a concept where you eat something, take a short break and then eat something again. I said okay, but if the restaurant takes an hour per course (the portions were really manageable), maybe they should let the customers know in advance. It was also obvious that the guests who arrived after us were served faster and some of them had finished their meal. Strangely enough, our food (all 3 courses) was completely ready after just 15 minutes. Conclusion: more than two hours of waiting time, 80 euros gone and we left hungry. If this is a “concept” then I can only wish the restaurant the best of luck.

Very unfriendly and unmotivated non-Chinese service that was very loud and often bumped into customers without apologizing. Wasn't worth the hour wait.

Unfortunately, ordering is to take away. Which means a long wait if you want to eat on site even though there wasn't that much going on. Unfortunately, the food wasn't good either and you'll be forgotten. Not too bad for us again.

It was my first time here and I would love to come back. German-language menu, German-speaking, friendly and attentive service. Food was sufficient and tasty. The restaurant was well attended and we noticed that a lot of food was pre-ordered and picked up.

Babi pangang spek (speenvarken) was overcoocked and salty. Clearly not fresh. Bami, salty and slimy. Rest similar. This was 5 years ago a nice restaurant. But today I would not recommend. I certainly will not go there anymore

After 5 years we went to Venlo again by bike and ate at Boeddha again. As back then, the food was super tasty, the quantity was hard to come by and quite reasonably priced. For one dish and 1 large beer you can get just over 20 euros.

After yet another disappointment, we no longer choose this restaurant and take the time to write this review. We threw away completely burnt black spring rolls. 1 single container was okay, the rest dry and tasteless. For €29, it's a shame to waste the money! (Bami and nasi were almost EMPTY. Bare rice and noodles) Chicken pieces and chicken satay completely dry and fried. The container of black bean sauce was the only thing that tasted good. In the future we will drive a little further to China garden 👋🏻👋🏻

Breaded chicken was 10 small balls. Of the quantity 1.5 chicken fillets with lots of breading and warm. A little sweet and sour sauce without vegetables and pineapple. Without decoration with white rice! There are much better restaurants there. Many complained about the food, cold, too greasy, ready-made meals, etc. Toilet difficult to reach via steep stairs to the basement!

Yesterday evening around 9 p.m. I got an Indian rice table for one person. When we got home via a detour, everything was still very warm. The various dishes from the rice table were of good quality. Great variety and delicious food. Why would you go to the yellow M and pay a lot for little instead of paying normally for more than enough and tasty. You could eat this with 3 people! And don't be unsatiated afterwards 😉. The lady behind the counter seemed a bit short at first. On reflection, she worked efficiently and quickly. Very friendly when handing over the food. Recommended and worth repeating!

Declined considerably when it comes to service and food. Ate on site but was anything but satisfied, waiting way too long and the babi pangang and ayam ketjap were hard, the chicken curry was fine. The service is not much better and you had to indicate yourself at the counter if you wanted to order. Helped at checkout by a young rude lady who was unfriendly. One thing is for sure, I will never eat here again!

After waiting for 45 minutes for croquettes with bread, I asked how things were going. It turned out that something had gone wrong while placing the order. This can of course happen when it is busy. Cozy place where you can eat well. Recommended are the flambéed tiepan, chicken Gon bao and spring roll special. On weekends it can be quite busy at the collection department with a waiting time of up to 1 hour! Booking in advance is wise. Many German guests also come there

I had a spring roll special. The ends were so hard that I couldn't even cut them in half... not tasty. The mini spring rolls barely had any filling in them, which was a shame. The vegetarian egg dish was very tasty.

The attractive Chinese restaurant Buddha is located a bit hidden between the Koel football stadium and Venlo train station. Good food at normal prices and beer from Lindeboom. A big advantage compared to some Chinese restaurants is that the main course is not served immediately after the soup. Venlo should not only be happy with the VVV, Buddha is also an enrichment for the city.

Ordered food for €120, picked it up. Atmosphere is 0. No music, no atmosphere. The aquarium was cloudy and a protected species was swimming in it, as well as a tank that was much too small. There was also a woman sticking skewers in an unclean room with open containers of meat. Which I could easily touch as a waiting customer. Absolutely unsanitary. Finally, you come home with 5 bags of containers, 2 of which are incorrect. Very bad experience.

The food has become quite a bit more expensive. They first charge €12.50 for a dish and that includes noodles or nasi, but the bill adds another 50 cents per bowl. Furthermore, the food is more tasteless and the quantity is not really much. For €13,- you expect a large portion of a dish and a large bowl of nasi or noodles, but you get a small bowl with it... We don't often eat here, but before the corona period it was much better.

Just not good enough. My favorite Asian takeaway restaurant (Penang) is always closed on Tuesdays, so I tried here once. Fried shrimps were dark brown and inedible. Portions half of what I'm used to. For the rest, the quality is below average for a normal Chinese takeaway. Too bad, not worth repeating.

MICE IN THE RESTAURANT!!!!! Had a nice dinner at this restaurant last night. We also enjoyed the food. However, at the end we discovered that there were mice walking around in the restaurant (see photo). When we mentioned this to the staff, they didn't seem to care. And their explanation was that they came in through the door, which sounded a bit strange. Now a day later I also have intestinal problems, which is also not pleasant.
