I enjoyed the time service and food- good the dish of the day and loved the fish

We went there for lunch. The place is by the water and amazing! There's bike and car parking nearby. We were sad to see there were only very few pizza, sandwiches and snacks options to eat during lunch. The pizza was tasty but it would be nice to see more options of food and drinks. It's also not very accessible for people with reduced mobility: To access the toilet there's a big step, some parts of the venue are only reachable using steps. The easiest option would be to be outside but since there's lot of tables it might get a bit tight to fit a wheelchair.

If you really want a mini-vacation, you have to go to Boothuis. It feels like coming home to an Italian family, where you eat pizzas just like they taste in Italy. In the colder months, they light candles, and it feels like a holiday cottage in nature. Highly recommended.

This evening, as a customer, I met the most amazing people.

It used to be fun and welcoming here, but little of that remains. I arrived at 4:20 PM and wanted to have a few drinks, but according to the hostess, everything was ‘full’. There were literally only 4 tables with people and there was plenty of space. She indicated that people had been arriving since 4:30 PM. When I asked if there weren't any tables reserved from 6:00 PM, she said, “Yes there are, but you can't take a seat there either; we aren't accepting new guests.” A very peculiar way of treating guests, who visit you even in the winter when it isn't as busy. My last time, in any case.

Had an excellent pizza on a sunny terrace by the water, what more could you want?

This is the umpteenth time that the entire terrace is marked with reserved signs, all the tables are empty, and you get turned away... whereas if you do have a spot, you can clearly see as you leave that those tables are still empty. Just lost revenue and poor service; just tell people to feel free to have a drink until a certain time, that the guests who have reserved will arrive. We come here weekly, but now we have decided to go somewhere else where you actually get service. (Lisette was placed at the entrance to turn everyone away; no blame on her part.) It was bad of one of the owners, though, who was watering plants in the background and listening in, but left to sort this out.

Serving burnt toasties to children, ‘forgetting’ part of the order, and lunch didn't arrive until after an hour. What seems like a nice location at first glance is ruined by the food and the service. A place to avoid. Especially with children.

Great vibes, but kitchen closes at 8pm apparently

A nice and cozy place where I go quite often. It is a real shame, though, that when you arrive, you are told it is ‘too busy’ to sit at a regular table because everything is reserved. So we were seated at the edge, and ended up looking at empty tables that were supposedly reserved for 1.5 hours. After suggesting that we could just leave and return to the edge if the tables were needed, there was no response. Otherwise, it is a nice place with friendly staff, but this was annoying.

Super Super Nice Place! Was there yesterday with a Group of friends during one of those warm summer afternoon. The staff was super attentive and made sure we were not left thirsty at ANY time. We also had pizza (Roman Style) which was delicious 🍕. Definitely recommend!

Location is great, food ok for the setup but service is probably the worst in Amsterdam and getting worse year after year. People are inexperienced, lack focused and dedication. They don't speak Dutch, very poor English and no manners. I am loosing hope that it will get to an acceptable level again

From Rotterdam, yes indeed, after a visit to the hospital, a WONDERFUL NATURAL location to unwind, catch up, and enjoy a delicious meal. The staff are an example of how things can be done and actually just ought to be: a whole terrace all by herself, without rushing (read 'stress'), with an eye for everyone, and willing to do those lovely little extras and think along with you... what more could a person want? Nothing... perfect! And that doesn't exist, we all know ;-), sooooo... maybe a cushion on the chairs? You guys are getting close, THANKS!

The location is what makes this place amazing to me! Wonderfully sheltered by the Sloterplas with a view of the lake and canal. It sometimes took a while for the waitstaff to reach our table, but the food and atmosphere made up for this wait more than pleasantly. As far as I'm concerned, it is definitely recommended to stop by here in the afternoon to relax.

An absolute gem by the water! I recently visited Boothuis near Sloterplas, and it completely exceeded my expectations. The outdoor seating area right by the water offers an incredible ambiance, where it is exceptionally relaxing to sit under the shades, watch the boats glide across the water, and just enjoy the peaceful scenery. The design of the place blends perfectly with the natural surroundings, making it feel like a mini-getaway from the daily routine. The atmosphere is laid-back yet vibrant, making it ideal for a sunny afternoon coffee, a casual lunch, or evening drinks with friends. Furthermore, the staff was welcoming, attentive, and friendly, which truly enhanced the overall experience with prompt service and great energy that makes you want to linger for hours. The food is tasty, but the problem is that they add almost no sauce to the pizza. For many people, garlic sauce is simply part of the experience. Furthermore, it was very loud inside, making conversations difficult.

I've been here quite a few times now, but the service remains difficult. The pizzas are delicious, but you have to wait a long time for everything. Reserved tables remain empty for a long time; you even have to leave because of the reservation, and there are few shaded spots. They could get much more out of it if they knew what they were doing. A real shame. Inside, the music is just a bit too loud to hold a conversation.

Het Boothuis was our favorite hidden gem in the city. Super chill, delicious food. You really felt like you were on vacation in your own city. Unfortunately, this place (thanks to the Parool) has lost its charm for us. You can simply never just drop by anymore and pull up a chair at a table and enjoy yourself, because it is suddenly always full and busy, with large groups, weddings, etc. You also have to make reservations now. Of course, this is great for the owners and revenue, but unfortunately, we have lost our favorite spot... such a shame.

You have a tent by the water where you can also moor your small boat, and then there is no takeaway pizza or option to just eat the pizza on the boat and return the plate. Poor service and lazy staff.

What an amazing place. Instant holiday feeling when you're here. A hidden paradise.

We were just going to have a snack and a beer. At first the service was good, the food came quickly and was really good! But then the service became absolutely horrible. First everyone disappeared for 10 minutes. The guy who was left refused to look up and help us. When the staff came back, there were a lot of interns who couldn't take an order. It took too long to order a beer and too long before we got it. Nice walk to Boothuiset.

Yesterday afternoon, we celebrated my father's 85th birthday with 40 people at the Boothuis. Everything was perfectly arranged from start to finish. Clear agreements were made beforehand, and communication was very pleasant. The afternoon itself also went flawlessly. Super place! Thanks!

Sitting there with a cold beer in hand just feels right. simple, relaxing, and exactly what you need to unwind. The staff are genuinely kind and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better. It’s the kind of place you end up staying longer than planned, just soaking in the view and the atmosphere.

Today was my first visit to the Boothuis for lunch. The location is fine. Unfortunately, the lunch was disappointing. A tough, cold focaccia with mediocre toppings for over 12 euros, and a toasted sandwich that was rock hard, half burnt, and bone dry for 7.50 euros. It really could be much better.

Great service, child-friendly, spacious, bright, and most importantly; delicious, honest food! We had a fantastic dinner with one small child and two older kids. Nothing was too much trouble and everyone was happy, even though it was very busy on the terrace. We sat comfortably inside with our group of 7, thanks Boothuis team! We will definitely be back.

A very beautiful and cozy place with lovely views of the lake. The food is quite good, and the pizzas are generously sized and reasonably priced. Drinks are a bit expensive, though. The service is charming and attentive. Overall, expect to pay around €20–25 per person.

A really lovely spot, delicious food, incredibly friendly service. We sat on the terrace on a crisp spring day; we had made a reservation so we had a table ourselves, but the terrace layout has enough room to pull up to the side and still find a spot. The food was delicious and affordable too.

Boathouse with Italian cuisine. The compact menu offers an excellent selection, although the meat options are limited and translating the dishes required quite a bit of effort. The culinary experience was surprising and encompassed a wide range of flavors, from the pizzas to the mashed potatoes. The predominantly English communication and the menu deserve attention. Given the nice weather, it was reasonably busy outside; fortunately, we had reserved a table inside for dinner. Accessibility by car is recommended, as otherwise, it is quite a dark stretch in the evening.

I ordered a beer, but I never received it. The table was dirty, and I asked them to clean it, but apparently that was too much trouble. But the place is nice!

We had dinner with a group of 40 people. Communication beforehand was smooth, clear, and friendly. Everything was well-organized. Communication on the night itself was also excellent. A great team with skilled people. The pizzas and taglieres were delicious!

The service was excellent, friendly, and honest. We enjoyed delicious cocktails, and the food was delicious. One minor drawback was the lack of an extractor fan. Our clothes smelled strongly of cooking when we got home.

Heavenly place, I ate a spectacular focaccia, I asked who had made it, but they introduced Giacomo, a highly professional and very nice person, I will definitely return.

Very nice and quiet spot (in the morning) with great foccacia. Only reason I give 4 stars is they don't pick-up the phone after several tries, instead you get a chatbot saying there is a play corner which they don't have (good luck chillin' with a 1½ year old). When I casually shared it with the waiter, he still tried to sell a cabinet with some books as a 'playcorner'.

Ridiculously high prices for a measly focaccia with both mortadella and pumpkin.

I cycled past here and wanted to try the pizza I'd heard others were talking about. Unfortunately, the pizza oven wasn't hot on a weekday afternoon. Understandable. The menu is also limited, and it feels a bit shabby. I'll try again on a sunny day in the coming months. When I asked, I was told that the pizza oven is only used for lunch on weekends.

Maybe be a little more flexible about ordering pizza. I was there at 12:30, but pizza starts at 1:00 PM. I go there often, and I noticed again that my coat and clothes smelled of food when we went outside. Is the extractor hood powerful enough?
