Great outdoor seating area. The staff are incredibly friendly. It's surprising how well they speak German. I had my best burger here. I recommend the Cheddar Bacon Burger. If you'd like to try a variety of delicious dishes, order the Twijfelaar. It's basically a mixed plate. Everything is excellent.

We ordered a wide variety of dishes. The fries were soggy, the frikandel dry, the calamari unidentifiable, and the kibbeling was okay. Overall, nothing special and not cheap. Our complaints the next day were dismissed. Poor service.

You order at the counter and then they bring it to your table. They have a very extensive menu, so there is plenty of choice and fortunately it is not too expensive. We had the kibbeling menu. The kibbeling was very tasty, but we found the fries soggy and not fried long enough. For us, the portion was too much; we couldn't finish it. A downside/area for improvement was the hygiene of the toilet; it was nice that we were allowed to use it, but it is positioned awkwardly at an angle in a corner and the floor was covered in urine and toilet paper.

After ordering the food, I had to shell out almost 50.- for 3 people. I hadn't expected this. I knew it would turn out a bit more expensive with 2 portions of battered fish and chips, but 15.50 per portion is quite high. At the fish restaurant across the street, it's 14.50 per portion. That's why I expected a chip shop to be cheaper. But oh well, I should have asked about the price. Furthermore, small fries with mayo and a Sputnik with 3 cans of drink. Oh yes, when two portions were brought, I politely asked if a third one would be coming, because the lady didn't say anything about a third portion. She replied in English that she only has 2 hands. So it wasn't really busy... Maybe a language barrier... I don't know, but it didn't come across as friendly and felt out of place. The food was otherwise a 6. It is a chip shop, of course. The price/quality ratio is not good. Next time, no Boulevard 1 for us.

We often visit Breskens for holidays and have ordered from you frequently; highly recommended. It is a well-oiled machine when it comes to orders, a beautiful, atmospheric establishment, and friendly staff.

We had really good kibbeling (battered fish), and the remoulade sauce was delicious too. There's a good children's meal deal with a drink and a small toy. Afterwards, we had a soft-serve ice cream; the small one for €3 was perfectly adequate.

I had dinner at your place with my boyfriend this evening, and it was absolutely delicious. We had the Kibbeling meal and the fries with pulled pork (just like in the photo). The pulled pork was juicy—exactly as it should be—and the kibbeling was perfectly fried and not greasy. All in all, it was great, and we’d love to come back.

Unfortunately, not fresh, not tasty, and moreover, relatively expensive. The food is largely pre-prepared and is then simply deep-fried, even the vegetarian hamburger bun. The sauces taste artificial and are completely bland. Only the fries were somewhat edible. Absolutely not recommended.

Good customer service. Also a lot of online takeout. The food is served neatly, and the cutlery is packaged. I had one bottle of sparkling water and received one plastic cup. You have to order at the counter to be seated. With three people, they don't even have time to look around to empty the full bin or the toilet. If you want a good meal without any fuss, this is the place for you!

During our visit to Breskens, we went to Boulevard 1 for dinner with our family. They have a very extensive menu with a wide variety of fresh burgers, which is always a plus for me. There's a terrace, which is also a great place to relax. The fresh ice cream and soft serve are a bonus. We had to wait a bit for our order, but it was busy, so that happens. I had the Boulevard burger, which was delicious. We're a little less enthusiastic about the fries. We ordered a large container, but they turned out to be quite small. The height of the package is a bit low. In Belgium, this is more like a small-medium. The fries were also a bit hard, but certainly not terrible. The beef stew sauce looked a bit thick on the fries, but it was tasty. Conclusion: tasty burgers, but for a chip shop, the quantity of fries in a large package is a bit low.

We had the Kipeling menu, everything was okay, the fish was crispy and juicy, and the calamari wasn't so good; it was dry, almost just breaded, a ready-made product. The seating is nice, and the value is good.

Unfortunately, it's a classic question after asking if they have vegan dishes. You ask nicely and get a rude, vague answer, and expect an immediate decision. We ended up with fries with ketchup, as we weren't sure about the rest. We would have liked to try more, but the irritated service unfortunately didn't allow it. The fries were good, but I'd look elsewhere next time, where they're nicer to customers.

Always good. Truly the tastiest burger(s) I've ever had in a cafeteria. When you sit down, your order is brought to you on a tray. No buzzing, just real service. We only come when we're on vacation or out, but they always recognize us. Call me old-fashioned, but I love it.

A super delicious stop by the sea! 😍 Five of us went to Boulevard 1 in Breskens and were really well looked after – super friendly service and the food was top-notch! The kibbelinge were nice and crispy and juicy, just as they should be. The cheese croquettes – wow, crispy on the outside, creamy and cheesy on the inside 🧀 And the fries? Golden yellow, crispy, simply perfect with everything! Beautiful location right on the promenade, relaxed atmosphere, and fair prices. Absolutely recommended for a little (or very) hungry by the water – we'd love to come back! Update!!!!! And we came back!!!!! Back again after five days – says it all, right? 😄 Boulevard 1 is simply a must-visit in Breskens! This time we had kibbelinge (super crispy!), bamiblok, satékroket, and the legendary Grizly – all incredibly delicious. Plus fresh fries, just as they should be.
