If you're in a hurry, head to a chip shop. This one is recommended – and hasn't changed for years! The price, quality, and portion sizes are all right, so you can forget about the surrounding restaurants with their exorbitant prices. Pizza, kibbeling, fries, and, to finish, a delicious soft-serve ice cream are all great (but so are the bitterballen, frikandeln, and burgers). There's plenty of seating, a parking lot, and a small playground. So just go there and try it. Enjoy!

I understand that when you're near a tourist park, you don't have the ambition to deliver top quality, but this is simply awful and has little to do with good fries, and certainly not with those prices. Moreover, the salt is sprinkled over the fries in the collection bin, which is illegal in the Netherlands. The person running the place was probably having a bad day; they didn't seem interested, and there was hardly any noise coming out. 🤷 It's a real shame, and it's unnecessary.

This review refers solely to the incredibly bored and unfriendly employee, who took and processed the relatively large number of orders with a lack of enthusiasm and enthusiasm. The long wait may not have been entirely necessary—but considering he was the only one there, it was acceptable. In retrospect, the food was excellent, reasonably priced, and definitely worth the visit. As a German, it's also worth mentioning that there was a small selection of German specialties (bratwurst in a bun, currywurst, frankfurters). Overall, a good experience. PS: Maybe the employee was just having a bad day?! :)

A great snack bar near the beach, and it's been around for ages. I always have to stop by here when I'm on vacation.

Delicious chip shop, good stuff.

Classic Dutch frying, a lovely first stop for beachgoers or those returning home. A friendly staff member gave us great advice with our kids. A bouncy castle and climbing frame in the beer garden are included.

We were here in the summer of 2024. The food was good, the ambiance was okay. But the gentleman who was working there at the time either doesn't like tourists or isn't passionate about his job. In any case, we felt quite uncomfortable. It may have been an isolated incident, but we'll probably avoid this place in the future.

Just the thing for a bike ride: delicious fries, meatballs, and fried fish... Beautiful garden, well-coordinated team. Regular prices. Highly recommended.

Superb chip shop and more. Right by the entrance to the Swarte Polder and the Roompot Park. It has its own parking lot and a children's playground. Plenty of seating. 1 star deducted for the unfriendliness behind the counter...maybe stressful.

The food is very good and the prices are perfectly reasonable; the Aviko fries are simply amazing. We paid €16 for everything.

The food is delicious, and the prices are reasonable, though more expensive than at our campsite. However, the staff was very unfriendly and had absolutely no desire to work, which was very noticeable as a customer. What a shame!

Very good fritura. We bought three special fries with a crocandel and satay skewers, along with three drinks. It was delicious, and the owner was very friendly and attentive. He noticed that we were German tourists who didn't speak Dutch and called out our number in German for our order. Thanks for the service. We returned after years, and the fritura is just as good as in previous years. The prices are higher, of course, but still reasonable.

Contrary to expectations, the 5-serving fries actually serve 4 people, 3 of whom are on their last legs. A little more salt could have been added, though, and without the sauce, they were a bit dry. The peanut sauce was fantastic, and all the delicacies were delicious, including the cheesecake, bami, fried roll, etc. The price is perfectly reasonable.

The kibbeling was – I believe – frozen and lacked any added seasoning. After asking for remoulade or ravigotte sauce, it turned out that tartare was the only "fish" option, which the seller claimed was the same as remoulade. The kibbeling itself was fine, very greasy so much so that it even squirted out while eating, but otherwise okay.

Unfortunately, it wasn't good. Old, rock-hard, reheated poffertjes, half-roasted currywurst, Bami with a hard crust on the outside, an indefinable mush on the inside. Only the fries and the curry sauce were OK.

Good chip shop. Sometimes it gets busy, so they temporarily stop taking orders. Since we were on vacation, we weren't in a hurry.

Delicious, always freshly fried fries at reasonable prices. Nice outdoor terrace and a restroom. A good place for a snack, especially since most beach pavilions now focus only on fine dining.

Delicious kibbeling at reasonable prices

The fries tasted good. The fish, on the other hand, was a different story. Very pricey, and when I asked if it was cod, they said yes. However, it tasted more like pollock. I asked again afterward if it was actually cod, and they kept saying it was. In that case, I found it poorly prepared cod. It was really on the pricey side, especially with the sauce. The ice cream was good, but small. I personally won't be returning, but I understand if others do.

Went to get fries. They were very salty. The service was poor, I even got the feeling they weren't really interested.

The currywurst here is really delicious...the prices are reasonable...the owner could benefit from being a little more friendly...

The best place in the area. Delicious, extremely good, and plenty of seating. There's even a bouncy castle for the kids.

Sate menu with fries is fine. You get 3 satay sticks. The satay sauce is edible, but I know tastier satay sauce. The fries are a good portion I think. You can also sit outside but I took it to the park next door where I stayed.

Slechte snackbar! Kregen koude friet, we gingen terug. Kregen we het antwoord: ja wat wil je dat ik doe? Ik kan het in de magnetron zetten. Daarna nieuwe friet gekregen en wilde ze dat we de saus opnieuw betaalde voor €1,- Ik ga hier nooit meer terug en zeker geen aanrader.

The ambiance was good for a snack bar. The service was friendly. After all that fish, I just felt like a currywurst with fries. And what can I say, it was the best currywurst I've had in a long time.

Got Kibbeling for 4 people. It is listed as fresh on the menu, but it simply comes from the freezer. Tasteless and ridiculously expensive for what you get. Not recommended!

The food was febo quality. Pay extra because you take it with you. And not the friendliest people. They won't see me there again anytime soon.

We go to Nieuwvliet once a year and visiting it at least once is a must 😊. Ok, more like two or three times 😅. Everything tastes very tasty, whether kibbeling, fries, kip nuggets or frikandel, just lots of typical delicacies. The staff is friendly, even when it's busy, the food you order is prepared quickly. Price/performance absolutely fine. What we think is nice is that there is also a playground for the children, which shortens (the children's) waiting time for the delicious snacks 😊. The only small drawback was that the toilets weren't quite as clean this time 😬. Nevertheless, we will come back and are already looking forward to the next time 😎👍🏼.

Excellent for a greasy, unhealthy, but tasty bite. The weather was nice, and we were able to eat our fries, croquettes and kibbeling on the outside terrace.

Great chip shop with good value for money, significantly better than the “restaurant” in the holiday park around the corner. We had really good kibbeling and an excellent cheeseburger. The fries were also very good. Also worth mentioning is the friendly staff, who do not lose their calm and friendliness even when there is a lot of traffic and process all orders quickly! We'll definitely be back!

Super Fritten, super Bratrollen, super Mexican usw. hier findet jeder was, der frittierte Sachen mag 😀. Ist natürlich nix für Gesundheitsfanatiker 😂 Hier ist immer viel los!!!

Das Essen ist super lecker, und für jeden etwas, der Fritten & co. liebt. Sehr freundliches Personal, gr0ße Portionen, alles prima. Zugegeben, draußen bzw. vor Ort kann man nur im Sommer essen, da nicht überdacht. Bringe etwas Zeit mit, denn Der Imbiss ist sehr beliebt, und Wartezeiten von 15 Minuten sind normal. bis man an der Reihe ist. Trotzdem zügige Bedienung und Abfertigung.

Everything was fine, I can recommend it

The food was okay. The guy was just interested in us. Seemed annoyed and impatient even though nothing was going on. The children's menu only offered Frikandel with ketchup/mayo, not with onions, so it was special. Our daughter wanted a special as a children's menu, so with a surprise. That didn't work. He also didn't want to add onions to the children's menu for a little extra charge. While in the normal menu you get the frikandel in a bowl with sauces on top, in the children's menu, which the younger one took, it is thrown in a chip bag and ketchup and mayo are in plastic bags, where you can then see where you serve it.

Had to wait more than an hour for the order on Thursday, then you come home. Croquette sandwich was not included and the fries were not tasty.

Went from Roompot Nieuwvliet-bad to this cafeteria to pick up fries and snacks. Despite the varying reviews, ranging from 5 and 2 stars, we still took the gamble and it worked out well for us! Delicious fresh fries and delicious snacks! Staff (there were only 2) worked super hard to keep everything under control. From taking orders, baking fries/snacks to baking pizzas and fish! Cheers! Definitely recommended.

There was a 40 minute queue at the holiday park. Ended up eating here quickly and well. Nothing to complain about!

The guys working are a bit sketchy, the food is great and cheap. Just what I wanted.

Classic Dutch fries shop with the usual selection from fries to frikandel and bami to kibbeling. Delicious and rich. Quick preparation without long waiting times. There are plenty of parking options next to and opposite. Clear recommendation if you are in the area. You can also quickly reach the dike and look out to sea.

An overdose of spice mix on the kibbeling and a frozen hamburger 'complete' with a little lettuce, a slice of cucumber, a slice of tomato and curry. You don't have to go there for the quality of the food. But at a good point between the beach and holiday parks. And very positive: despite the crowds, they manage to get your order ready quickly, and they are cheerful and friendly. And the fries were OK.

Delicious fried regional dishes. Only eat by yourself.

You don't expect much from a takeaway in a container, but the food is first class, especially the deluxe burgers. Orders are organized very well, so you never have to wait longer than 10-15 minutes. There is a fenced-in playground with benches, so it's relaxing even with children.

Not recommended Worst fries we have ever eaten. It's unbelievable how they get so dry. Service not very friendly. Price performance ratio not ok. We wouldn't go there again.

Something in advance. At the end of the 70s and beginning of the 80s we were at the 5 star campsite Nieuwvliet Bad, in NL, several times a year. This hairstyle already existed, but much smaller. A holiday park has now been built on the site of the campsite. That's why in the following years we always moved one place further. To Cadzand Bad. On our return journey this year we traveled our previous route again and lo and behold, the Frituur is still there, after over 40 years.

We had three portions of Kibbelinge with fries. They were by far the worst we had ever been served. And we had already eaten a lot of Kibbelinge. The fish was not fresh at all, some of the kibbelinge pieces only consisted of breading. The fries tasted warmed up. By the end we all regretted eating the food. That was anything but healthy for the body.

Very good "chip shop" with lots of dishes - yes, they also serve kibbeling here, which is tasty. Very tasty soft ice cream. What I particularly liked were the well-designed seating options, some of which were even covered. A bouncy castle is available for smaller children.

Cheeseburger was inedible, and fries were by far the worst I've ever eaten in Holland. The best thing in the place was the cola. Therefore I can only advise against it.

Unfortunately I can't recommend them at all, they were the worst fries I've eaten in my life. Maybe it was just a bad day, but it was definitely bordering on inedible. Soggy, lots of brown spots, not crispy in any way - unfortunately that was nothing!

Nice place to eat fries with the kids. The owner is tall and friendly and is also a true frying master! I will definitely come back here more often. The place is filled with energy and positivity.
