I had the best caprese sandwich there today — really top quality!

It's a shame the Beverwijk location isn't living up to its potential. The music is great, but the service and food are unfortunately mediocre. What bothered me most was the lack of hospitality: the staff didn't intervene when loud, drunk "Wijkers" (locals) started filming other patrons (women). The constant walking of this group to the outside/toilet was also very suspicious. I hope management takes a critical look at this, because the restaurant is currently way overrated. Christmas Eve was our annual outing with delicious food at Brafoer. I had the cheese fondue, which was delicious. We received excellent service again, and we were able to eat at our leisure. They listened to the only thing I missed about Christmas: Christmas music. Very nice. Well, we'll be back next year.

This time we came for drinks, but we usually always come for lunch. The food is always up to par, and in the summer, there's a lovely terrace. During the winter months, it's cozy and welcoming inside. Heemskerk Brafoer is a bit of a letdown compared to Beverwijk. The service, in particular, is much better here.

**Disappointing experience at Brafoer** My visit to Brafoer was unfortunately anything but successful. The prices are remarkably high for what you get. The portions were incredibly small, leaving me feeling unsatisfied. Even the fries—normally a safe choice—were scarce; you could literally count them on one hand. For this price, I expect much more. I won't be returning anytime soon.

The restaurant atmosphere is nice. I haven't had my main course yet, but I hope it's good. As a seasoned food expert, I strongly advise against it. The cheese fondue tasted like I was being attacked with every bite by a pure alcohol flavor with a clogged cheese taste. So, if you like shots, I'd only recommend it. The cheese fondue is delicious, and so is the fish platter, but this cheese fondue will haunt me for a while, so don't eat it while driving. 😭 I'll write another review if the main course is good, with 5 stars.

Great atmosphere, friendly staff, varied menu, and fast service. The spareribs fall off the bone and could use a bit more lacquering for flavor. The tenderloin is delicious, as are the fries and desserts. Yum!

Delicious food and friendly service

Back in Beverwijk and had lunch here again. A few minor glitches at the beginning. Our hot drinks were on the same tray as the chilled ones, and the waitress served the cold drinks first. She also managed to choose the wrong table time and again: she walks to two tables, and one has full glasses on the table, the other nothing. Where do you put the glasses then? Three guesses... That really needs some fine-tuning. The food was good quality. The tuna sashimi on brown bread had been carefully prepared. The tuna was just right. The salmon brioche was also delicious. Unfortunately, the brioche was too thin. There was a wide selection of coffee and tea. The cappuccino could have been hotter. Whether we'll return remains to be seen.

Never been there before, but the menu is delicious and the wine selection is good. The service is friendly and welcoming. We'll be back soon, but for dinner this time.

Delicious food, but very unfriendly staff. Greeted by sweet girls upon arrival, but once at the table, we were served by an arrogant young man. For example, we didn't receive a card upon arrival (which was fine, no problem), but he was annoying and irritated as soon as my girlfriend and I asked for one. The sandwiches were tasty, but he ruined our pleasant time. His behavior continued for the rest of our visit. I guess he was having a bad day. I definitely won't be coming back.

What a cozy place! A lovely, extensive menu with something for everyone. Friendly service. We had the omelet: generously filled with vegetables and mushrooms on two delicious slices of bread. Excellent! Highly recommended!

Arrogant service. A young man (dark hair, around 25) greeted us (one man, two women) with "Hello ladies" and then said, "You don't know what's going on these days." The arrogant attitude continued until we left. Disrespectful and uncomfortable from the very first minute.

Last week I went to Brafoer twice. Once for lunch and once for drinks. What I really regret is that the service has been so bad lately. Which is a real shame, because I love going there with my friends. I had lunch there during the day, and after our plates were cleared, they didn't ask us for another drink, even though we were still chatting happily for an hour and a half. Later that week, I went for a drink with my friend. We ordered a cocktail and a flute. I initially ordered a frozen strawberry daiquiri, but a little later the employee returned to let me know they were out of strawberries. Normally, that's not a problem, but it happens more often than not when I order it, they run out. So I opted for the frozen Pornstar martini. My friend and I quickly saw that my cocktail was ready and only needed to pour the beer. We sat there for fifteen minutes watching my cocktail melt. After 15 minutes, the beer was finally poured and brought to us. I certainly don't want to be negative about this place, because I love going there and it's always a pleasant atmosphere, but it would be nice if more attention were paid to staff training.

We had a wonderful meal. But above all, the attention the waiter showed us on Monday, October 13th, to our celiac disease was fantastic. I'd never experienced anything like it before.

The controls remain a bit of a problem. There hasn't really been any improvement over the years. Such a shame...

My favorite restaurant In Beverwijk. Fantastic food, great atmosphere and very courteous staff.

We had a delicious lunch, and Faraton (am I spelling this correctly?) helped us out. The music could have been a bit more atmospheric, although it was very low so it wasn't distracting. We'll definitely be back...

I had a poke bowl, which had smoked salmon and tuna. I expect this salmon to be raw, as it should be. The rice has no flavor; it's supposed to be seasoned with vinegar and sugar. Japanese vinegar. Wasabi wasn't included. The soy sauce was in a small tube. We'll call it a poke bowl, Dutch style. We've been there before for lunch, and it was good. That's why we tried dinner.

We had a lovely lunch here; the dishes we chose were excellent! It's stylishly and stylishly decorated, very nice. Unfortunately, no one else came by to ask if we wanted anything else to drink.

Last Monday, I had lunch at Brafoer with a friend. The food was excellent and the staff very friendly. A few days later, I went back with my husband for dinner. Unfortunately, that wasn't as good. It also took a very long time to get our food.

Our first time here. A really nice, cozy restaurant. The food was excellent, the wine was delicious, and the atmosphere was great. The satay was good. I asked for some fries with it, which was no problem. I didn't get a lousy container, but a generous portion. That's how it should be. The bill was €95. Parking is free. Highly recommended.

My recent experience at your restaurant on July 29th. During our visit, one of your waiters accidentally spilled beer on me, my baby, and my phone. While I understand that accidents happen, I was disappointed with how the situation was handled. Because my C-section was wet and caused a lot of pain (due to the alcohol), we had to leave quickly. My friend couldn't finish her drink, and although you kindly waived the charge, we still had to pay full price for our food. I was disappointed that we had to pay €28 for a sandwich and fries, even though we barely got to enjoy them because I was soaking wet. My clothes were soaked, and we had to cancel our movie plans, ruining our day. I had hoped for more compensation, given the circumstances. I also had to wait a long time on the bus home, smelling of alcohol, and felt embarrassed. I hope you take this complaint seriously and take action to improve customer service at your restaurant.

Normally a place I enjoy visiting, but unfortunately, the last two visits have been unlike anything I'm used to. A frozen cocktail arrived in a very moderately filled glass. Far below the rim, while I always get a generously filled glass, right up to the rim. My neighbor, however, did get this, but she had a different flavor. Nachos, which recently had a cheese sauce instead of melted cheese. When we asked if it was possible to have melted cheese instead of cheese sauce, the answer was that there wasn't any cheese. This was very strange, considering the menu has quite a few options with cheese. When we asked for extra mayonnaise, it wasn't brought, and we ended up having to ask for it again. Not the service and quality I'm used to. These last two visits were a real disappointment!

According to the information on your website you close at 23:00. This means that the doors should actually be closed at 23:00. However, when we came in for a cup of tea at 22:15, we were told that you were closing. When I asked if you were not closing at 23:00, we were told that you are closing earlier tonight. This while the website clearly states that closing time is 23:00. This was a disappointing experience, and for that reason I would rather not come back, and she was really not friendly.

Brafour is een mooi restaurant met een stoere uitstraling maar het personeel en de prijs/kwaliteit viel ons wat tegen. Ten eerste stonden we bijna 2 minuten bij de ingang voordat iemand ons opmerkte en een tafel toewees. We hebben een piri piri van 7 kleine stukjes gambas genomen voor 15 euro. Dus bijna 2 euro per stuk! De cocktails waren lekker maar toen die op waren duurde het heel erg lang voordat iemand het zag dat we niets te drinken hadden. Bovendien lukte het ons niet om personeel te seinen. Ze lijken totaal niet geïnteresseerd in gastvrijheid terwijl de zaak half vol zat. Het eten was prima maar de porties kunnen groter voor die prijs. Het toetje hebben we daarom maar overgeslagen. Jammer, dus ik keer hier niet snel naar terug

A very unpleasant experience. The staff paid no attention to us at all, even though we had made a reservation. There was something wrong from the beginning. When we entered, we asked the waitresses where we could sit because we had a table reserved. She said she would check BUT suddenly one of her (probably) friends came and completely ignored us, started talking to her and giggling all over the place. We asked the second waiter to show us to a table. When we wanted to order anything, we were not given a card. Only when we went to the website could we look at the menu. After 15 minutes, another waitress came and said that we couldn't order food (10 minutes were needed to order items from the dinner menu). At least we asked for something to drink and she said she would be there soon. We didn't receive cards for 45 minutes even though they were handed out to everyone around us. After receiving the drinks, I wanted to ask if we could order now, but the waitress hurriedly put the drinks on the table and ran away from us. It was very strange. After drinking drinks for half an hour, no one came to take the order. This is the most unfriendly visit, I have never been treated this way in my entire life. I am very dissatisfied with the visit and I can boldly say that this "restaurant", if you can call it that, should not receive even 1 star. We didn't taste the food, but the drinks were still average and the prices for both drinks were astronomical. I do not recommend it to anyone who respects their time and, above all, themselves.

Discovered by me by chance. Great restaurant. Fantastic staff. Friendly, well mannered and helpful. Splendid location. The surrounding water, greenery of nature and the comfortable patio chairs, a well-made cocktail, all together. I felt zen. The Caribbean feeling came to me when drinking the cocktails. The food and atmosphere are fine. The restaurant also looks cozy. We were 6 people, around 6:30 PM. When we went to order, 3 people wanted the tournado, but only 1 of the large (350gr) was left. So 2 of us ordered the middle one (220gr) and 1 ordered the largest. After we ordered they came back to say that only the smallest (160gr) tournado could be ordered. I don't think that's really possible on a Sunday evening. And it wasn't that busy that evening. Otherwise we had a pleasant evening and a delicious meal.

The food tasted good, and the staff was friendly. However, we found four hairs in our food, which is simply unacceptable. While the restaurant did not charge us for the meal, such a hygiene issue should not happen in the first place.

As always, we enjoyed a wonderfully relaxing stay at Brafoer Beverwijk. I've been craving their avocado toast for a while now, so it was time again. It is usually busy, so every now and then we had to swing by for a drink. But I personally prefer that to someone who comes to your table every 10 minutes. Very relaxed, nice atmosphere, and all staff are always helpful and friendly. My favorite spot. I'm already looking forward to next time (then we'll do the high tea ^.^)

Visited on Friday February 28 with our family, 2 adults and 2 kids. The food was delicious everywhere. Carpaccio was disappointing, it was watery as if it came from the freezer. As a main course we had the diamond tenderloin and salmon. Nothing to complain about, it was delicious! Desserts were good too. They even came up with a special dessert for my son who wanted strawberry ice cream. Top service!

Staff very arrogant, you almost feel guilty when you ask them something. Mainly concerned with each other, when you raise your hand to place an order, for example, their faces look like thunder, they look at each other and rush to take the order. Often they see you raise your hand and you are ignored. And when they smile, it doesn't feel sincere, as soon as they turn around the smile turns into a fixed look. The ambiance is very good, nice decor etc. Food also good so far. But the attitude of the staff really needs to be addressed. It's a shame otherwise for such a nice place. Because of this I don't go there anymore, because a sincere friendly attitude is a requirement for me when we go out to eat. Been before because I wanted to give it a chance, because it is a nicely decorated place with good food, but the attitude remains the same. I often go out to eat, but I only experience this here... it's for filming. Update after January 15, the attitude of the service has changed very positively. Food was also delicious as always and not to mention a nice ambiance...that's why we sat there for about 4 hours. Very happy and satisfied. Because of this I now go there every two weeks.

Koffie was echt prima, Groot minpunt dat er voor een veganist niets plantaardig bij de koffie/bites te bestellen valt. Zelfs nog nagevraagd door het personeel bij de keuken . Dat vind ik niet van deze tijd. Verder leuke tent.

Viel echt tegen, kwaliteit prijs verhouding is niet in evenwicht. 22 euro voor een kleine matige rommelige haloumi burger, afgetopt met een dor slap blaadje basilicum verder niets erbij, geserveerd op een enorm grote plank. Tosti van dochter was rommelig een kleine snee brood op een grote snee brood. Kip staat heerlijk beschreven in menu maar valt ook tegen droge halve kip met droge aardappels en groenten. Patat bestond uit veel kleine stukjes. Jammer je betaald er genoeg voor.

We hebben hier erg lekker gegeten en het eten was ook snel bereid. Service was vlot doordat ze niet een over of serveerster per tafel hebben, maar iedereen heeft een functie (opnemen, drankje brengen, eten brengen, etc.). Daardoor lijkt het ook voor het oog alsof er niemand staat te hangen. En het personeel is ontzettend vriendelijk.

Nice inviting appearance, the restaurant has a modern design. You will be greeted immediately by the staff upon arrival and assigned a table. The staff was also very attentive during the evening and you did not have to wait long for your food despite the crowds. The menu is extensive with various options for special dietary needs. The reason I give the food 3 stars is because I find the portions unbalanced, partly because of this I was already full halfway through my main course. I also thought the way the chicken was seasoned did not fit with the rest of the pokebowl, it was out of proportion to the other spices used. All in all, the essence is that the portions can be better balanced. But other than that, that doesn't detract from the quality.

It's striking how the owner responds to other reviews, but not to mine. The fact that they think we have behaved indecently just shows how bad this store is. Plastic is found in food and there is no apology (not for 15 minutes). And if you complain you will be looked at as crazy. It seems like the world upside down. Never experienced such an incompetent manager as at this place. My mother had a sharp piece of plastic about 2cm in her sandwich. A man (turned out to be the manager) just said "oh I'll take that back". No further explanation, response, apologies. Nothing. Apparently they wanted to make a new sandwich, but after we indicated that we were not interested in it, the reaction was somewhat surprised. Then radio silence again. Our table seemed to be avoided. After speaking to a waitress, she indicated that the sandwich was being removed from the bill. Okay, makes sense? My mother didn't eat it either. But beyond that? Where is the manager or even a response that it is bad to have something like that in your food? After waiting 10 minutes and no one came to us, I went to the bar to ask for the bill and the manager. This actually reacted with astonishment that I thought it was downright scandalous that 1. There was plastic in the food and 2. No one came to us to apologize. The manager said he had not yet had a chance to come to our table. Mind you, he did have time to show other guests to their table, etc. By God's grace, my mother did not have to pay for her sandwich and drinks. Even when paying the card, the manager seemed to wait to see if I wanted to add some tip. And even after checkout, no excuses. As if it is the most normal thing in the world to have a life-threatening, sharp object in your food. I have always found this to be a terrible place with the most arrogant staff who think they work in a star restaurant. But the fact that the managers there are just as incompetent has given additional confirmation that this store is not even worth 1 star.
