Due to external turbulence, we needed a bit of warmth. We couldn't have found a better host. We were pampered all evening, as if we were the only guests—in an otherwise fully booked restaurant. The cooking is flavorful, with beautiful and surprising combinations and stunningly presented plates. Delicious. We have been living in Driebergen for almost three years and are only just discovering Buut; shame on you!

What a wonderful evening we had here! Buut is an atmospheric restaurant in a former church. The food was top-notch; all the dishes were delicious. The chef is very talented; my compliments! The service was also very friendly and knowledgeable. We enjoyed ourselves and, even though we don't live nearby, will certainly come back again.

I also found it a minor letdown that for the main course and one of the desserts, an important ingredient listed on the menu was out of stock and had to be replaced (this was discussed beforehand once, but not the other time).

Beautiful location. Free parking nearby after 6 pm. Warm welcome by the host. The menu is explained well at the table. Good portions. Well-seasoned. View of the kitchen. We had the chef's menu. With a delicious, surprising rhubarb dessert. Not too sweet. Just right. Passionate, proud owners; chatted with them for a bit. All in all, it was a wonderful evening!

We dined with our (grand)children at this unique restaurant, housed in a former Protestant church. The decor, modern but not dull or drab, no longer evokes a church atmosphere. The dishes, however, are: heavenly and beautifully presented. The service is also friendly and attentive, not pushy, but concerned that you're having a good time. For us, this was a very pleasant experience. We highly recommend it.

Yesterday we ate at Buut for the first time—and definitely not the last. It was a spontaneous decision, as we went to the restaurant that Google had told us was conveniently close by, without any expectations. What a hit!! Delicious, fresh dishes, lots of vegetarian options, a feast for the eyes and the taste buds. A lovely atmosphere, and excellent service. We'll definitely be back next time!

Really wonderful service and an inviting atmosphere! The server was very knowledgeable about the menu and origins of their ingredients- a very special kind of service. The flavors were very delightful; each dish was so unique and they have amazing wine pairings as well! They usually do a set menu with 4 courses but on Wednesday and Thursday you are allowed to order a la carte. The portions were a bit small for the prices but not unexpected from a higher end place.

Beautiful location and excellent menu (above-average prices). But the service is always a huge disappointment. We've been let down several times by the amateurish and distant service (not only by the students, but also by the owners themselves). Recently, we even got up without ordering anything; they ignored us and made us wait for over half an hour, even though it wasn't busy at all and there were plenty of staff around. If you want to sit comfortably and feel welcome, definitely don't go here.

Restaurant Buut in Doorn wat in een oude kerk zit heeft ons werkelijk een onvergetelijke ervaring bezorgd! Vanaf het moment dat we binnenkwamen, voelde het als een warm welkom. De ambiance is gezellig en uitnodigend, perfect voor een bijzondere avond uit.wij waren hier met vrienden uit Engeland en die waren het ook overeen dat het in één woord fantastische avond was. Het hoogtepunt van de avond was zonder twijfel het eten. Elk gerecht was een meesterwerk, bereid met zorg en aandacht voor detail. De smaken waren buitengewoon en de presentatie was prachtig. Het was duidelijk dat de chef een ware passie heeft voor koken; zijn creativiteit en vakmanschap zijn in elk gerecht terug te proeven. Het dessert was echt goddelijk! Wij hoorden dat hij nog heel jong is dus dat belooft wat voor de toekomst voor hem en voor Buut. De service was ook uitstekend. Het personeel was vriendelijk en attent, en ze stonden altijd klaar om ons te adviseren over de gerechten en wijnen. We voelden ons echt in de watten gelegd. Kortom, restaurant Buut is een absolute aanrader voor iedereen die op zoek is naar een culinaire ervaring van hoge kwaliteit. We kijken al uit naar onze volgende bezoek!

Heb even getwijfeld om deze beoordeling te posten. Wil niet dat hordes mensen hier nu gaan reserveren. Vanavond buiten gegeten, sfeervol, excellente bediening, fijne kaart. Wat echt gedeeld moet worden is de aanhoudend stijgende lijn van de keuken. Door de tijd heen steeds net iets verfijnder, nog gelaagder, en meer gedurfd. Streekproducten als kunst op het bord. Het geheim van Doorn...................

Wat is volgens mij het geheim van Buut? Pure passie, interesse, toewijding en doorleven. En een fantastische entourage: architectuur, inrichting, akoestiek en oog voor detail (zelf met zorg gemaakt lampje bij de entree :-) En als je dan moois en lekkers krijgt opgediend, dan is het af en zijn alle ingrediënten aanwezig voor een gezellig samenzijn. Doorn mag trots zijn op zo'n mooi bedrijf in het hart van het centrum.

Een prachtige accommodatie. Beperkte kaart met top en smaakvolle gerechtjes in het wat duurdere sigment. Bediening geeft goed uitleg. Duurt wat lang tussen de gerechten. Bijgerecht eenvoudig en kostbaar.

Setting quite ok in this old church. Dinner less so, starter ok, the rest was not really worth it. The entire table also left hungry (after four courses!) So ultimately quite disappointing.

We hebben hier met een vriendengroepje prima gegeten en een aangename avond gehad. De verrassing begon al bij het pand, het bleek een sfeervol verbouwde kerk, goede akoestiek. Wij kozen voor het chefs menu, sommigen kozen voor vlees/vis, anderen voor vega. Een enkele wisseling was toegestaan, bij meer wisseling tussen de gerechten kwam er een kleine à la carte toeslag bij. Leuke amuse vooraf. De smaakvol opgediende gerechten zijn niet calorierijk, een enkeling vond dat wat teleurstellend, zelf ben ik blij als ik niet met een volle maag moet slapen. Fles kraanwater op tafel voor € 2,50. Er was voldoende personeel. De eigenaar hielp ook mee en maakte met alle gasten even prettig contact. We waren er van 18.30 tot 22.30, een hele zit, maar met een groep is er genoeg bij te praten; ik denk dat ze bij rustige duo’s wellicht een iets vlotter serveertempo hanteren. Aanbevolen!

Een grote verrassing! Heerlijke sfeer, een vrolijke en enthousiaste bedienster die op elke vraag een prima antwoord had en zo toegewijd aan haar werk! Chapeau! Super verfijnde schotels, plaatjes om te zien, een verrassend goede keuken. De prijs/kwaliteit -verhouding is top. Nu maar hopen dat er, hoewel verdiend, géén Michelin-ster wordt gegeven want dan zou er alleen maar stress bij jullie ontstaan. Houd het zo blij en intiem. Wij komen zeker vaker terug.

Very nice and attractive location. Tastefully eaten, the Sea & Vee menu option and the half wine arrangement. Friendly service. The only downside was that we had to wait a very long time for the main course to arrive. Fortunately, this was compensated with a drink on the house.

Very bad experience with nut allergy. Re-appointed upon reservation and with each course. Despite that, nuts all over the main course. When the dessert was served, it said caramel sea salt ice cream, but after 1 bite it turned out to be nut ice cream again. Despite allergic reaction, we were not compensated in the bill. Bad service.

Since the opening, the quality of this restaurant keeps improving. Come here for fine dining at an acceptable price. Fresh and local cuisine, with deep, yet elegant flavors. Wines are excellent and the setting is cosy, with friendly and enthusiastic staff.

Last Saturday evening I had dinner with Sandra at Buut. Beautiful, fresh, honest cuisine, flavor bombs! . Take your time and have a nice "glass". Don't forget the Hague Bluff dessert with Basil ice cream. Pleasant informal atmosphere, good service and very friendly host. Top. Recommended, we will definitely come back!!!

Dining at Buut is a party. The food not only looks delicious, it is delicious too. The service is very friendly, the atmosphere is good and the decor is fantastic. Compliments to the owners! We were there on Father's Day, when the 3-course dinner for fathers was free. Nice action.

Once again we had a great meal in this charming restaurant! This time we took the lunch menu with excellent asparagus soup with delicious bread, followed by steak tartare and a salad with fresh beetroot as a main course for both with fresh fries and for dessert a scoop of ice cream topped at the table with an espresso. Simple but nicely done. Everything taken care of down to the last detail, including the little flowers on the main course. Also friendly and attentive service. In short, a very good price/quality ratio and definitely recommended!

Pleasant crowds on Father's Day with relaxing music. Delicious three-course menu in which the variation and combination of flavors provide a special experience. The haddock and Hague bluff are highly recommended.

Sometimes everything just works out fine. Location is beautiful. Young service that is knowledgeable and customer-oriented (it is still possible) and all dishes are well seasoned. Walking around in Doorn on a Saturday afternoon, we found this beautiful and promising place for a nice cosy lunch. Unfortunately, it was a big disappointment! Unfriendly service, long waiting time (on a restaurant half empty) and mini portions for a high price! Most important there was no warmth whatsoever in this place. You had a feeling people were making you a favour.

Wij vinden dit een pareltje op de Utrechtse Heuvelrug. Mooie sfeervolle ambiance, rijke fantasievolle kaart (waar gelukkig eens de Dame Blanche als dessert ontbreekt) en je vriendelijk, leuk en kundig bediend wordt. Prachtige heerlijke maaltijden waar ook de vega eter aan zijn trekken kan komen. De gerechten zijn schilderijtjes! Ik hoop dat dit niveau bewaard blijft.

Had a very nice evening at Buut! The setting in an old church creates a somewhat chic but relaxed atmosphere. The food was incredibly tasty. Smaller portions but with lots of details. We (average eaters) both opted for 3 dishes and 1 side dish together. This was more than sufficient. The dishes are not served very quickly, which ensures that you can take your time on this pleasant evening. The staff was also very friendly and well informed about the menu. When leaving the restaurant, I was personally thanked by the owner. Highly recommended!

Very nice location, hiply decorated and a nice drinks menu. Unfortunately there are two negative points. A 3/4/5 course menu does not have a 'full size' in terms of portions, but if you look at the prices you would expect a full portion. In addition, be careful if you come with a group. A deposit is required and if you do not cancel someone 48 hours in advance, this deposit will simply be processed. I don't know anyone who can predict 48 hours in advance that he/she will be ill that evening, but you still have to pay the deposit of 20 euros per person. This can put a huge damper on your evening and the manager/staff will not think along (even if you have just come to eat with a group for hundreds of euros). So pay attention to this when booking with a group, so that you are not faced with unexpected (extra) high costs.

At Buut it is brutally good. It is for this reason that you must be there. The food, the service and the excellent Go and eat there yourself, that is the ultimate test.

De oude gereformeerde kerk is omgetoverd tot een sfeervol restaurant. De (binnen)architect heeft van deze kerk een prachtige ruimte gemaakt met respect voor de oorspronkelijke stijl van dit gebouw en met behoud van veel originele details. Alleen daarom is een bezoek aan Buut al de moeite waard. Prettige bediening, attent en persoonlijk zonder amicaal te worden. Wij vonden niet alleen de grote keuze aan vegetarische gerechten, maar ook de smaak ervan heel verrassend. Vooral de millefeuille (krokant van buiten, zacht van binnen) en de risotto (smeuïg met een bite) waren voortreffelijk. Prima prijs/kwaliteit. Gezellige avond, voor herhaling vatbaar.

Heerlijk gegeten op een prachtige locatie. Wij hebben gekozen voor een taste and share menu, shared dining. De prachtig opgemaakte gerechtjes worden op tafel geserveerd waarna je ze vervolgens zelf op je eigen bordje moet scheppen. Persoonlijk vond ik dit geen succes. Je maakt de mooie creaties kapot omdat je moet delen met je tafelgenoot. Bovendien was er geen extra bestek aanwezig (lepel bijvoorbeeld) om het eten over te scheppen. Zeker een bijbehorend sausje over scheppen met een vork is erg lastig. Gelukkig kun je ook voor dit concept kiezen zonder te hoeven delen met je tafelgenoot en dat zullen we een volgende keer zeker doen.
