What a lovely brasserie! Superb service, cozy atmosphere, and delicious food. We enjoyed ourselves and will definitely be back!

Cycled past countless times, but now stopped with two cycling buddies for coffee and apple pie. Wow, it's really good here. The service is friendly and super fast, and the apple pie promises to cause upcoming dilemmas the next time I cycle past. 😀

What a lovely place. Superb service to start with. So well taken care of, and asking with every course if everything is to our liking. And then the food itself; for me, the Steak Bali. Deliciously sliced ​​steak and a (slightly) spicy sauce for a much more reasonable price than at Loetje. And at least just as tasty! Fries and a small salad on the side to finish it off. And then for dessert, the Chocolate Dream, a brownie with white chocolate ice cream. Delicious! The only downside as far as I'm concerned are the artificial plants. But that shouldn't spoil the fun.

We thoroughly enjoyed our motorcycle stop at Brasserie de Halve Maan. We were received very warmly, and tension was quickly broken after a pleasant chat with the staff member. The quality of the food was also very good; the bread was delicious, and the salad served on it looked fresh and vibrant. Even though you are in the Randstad, you still get the feeling of getting away from it all on the cozy terrace of this brasserie. In short, I have added this place as a favorite to Google Maps, and we will certainly be returning here regularly. Highly recommended.

Had lunch with a large group of approximately 40 people on Whit Monday in beautiful weather. Despite the crowds, we were seated quickly. The food was delicious and the staff was super friendly. They made it a real party. Greetings from the Oldtimers group 🫶

Coming from Amstelveen, we ended up on the terrace of De Halve Maan during our bike ride. What a breath of fresh air; a lovely terrace, and very friendly and attentive service. We ordered a pulled chicken sandwich and a carpaccio sandwich. Both were excellent. However, a small caveat: for the price, just like with the carpaccio, you expect two generously topped sandwiches and not just one; this is very meager indeed. We also ordered a soft serve ice cream. A soft serve ice cream as it should be: deliciously creamy! We enjoyed ourselves and will certainly return in the future.

After a lovely walk, we had a nice coffee with a delicious slice of apple pie with good whipped cream. The apple pie tasted like homemade. Highly recommended. The service was excellent and very friendly.

We came here on a late evening walk with my friend. We both ordered two meals & a dessert as were very hungry. They made sure we were satisfied with what we've ordered. Food was fresh & well served. Desserts were beautifully decorated & delicious. We were so full that I took a piece of brownie home 😁

Oh wow, what a fantastic place. We had carpaccio salad and bitterballen for me. Truly fantastic. The service was very personal. It was our second time there, but certainly not the last.

Lunch was generous, but not really tasty: way too much salad dressing and only a few pieces of chicken. The croquettes weren't crispy enough either. It is best to order a classic fried egg. The decor with plastic plants and flowers is eco-friendly, but not atmospheric. A few regular plants would look better! The staff were friendly, though.

Fantastic brasserie. Delicious food, pleasant service, and friendly owners who always make time for a chat. A solid 10 out of 10.

We just went for a cup of coffee and an apple pie after a brisk walk along the Nieuwkoopse Plassen lakes. Highly recommended, both the apple pie and the walk itself. Park at the school, then walk past the cemetery and the Roman Catholic church. Then turn left and cross the bridge on the right at the pencil, or water tower. Keep walking until you reach the lake. Be sure to look around; we saw two kingfishers, two buzzards, several species of herons, and ten thousand of them flying around (maybe a few more or fewer), geese flying overhead, and plenty of waterfowl swimming around. Once back, we stopped next to the church for an apple pie, and instead of coffee, we had hot chocolate. It feels like a cozy, old-fashioned café, and the service is very friendly and efficient. I'll definitely go back. So why not 5 stars? It's simply better, though I don't know how.

After enjoying a delicious lunch on Saturday, August 16th, we decided to have dinner there as well. We found the staff to be incredibly friendly. The waitresses were fantastic! The food was amazing. We enjoyed a delicious daily menu (steak). I don't often post reviews, but we felt this location more than deserved it. If we're ever in the area again, we'll definitely be back.

We arrived for lunch on a sunny Sunday afternoon. The terrace was packed, but luckily there was room for us. It took a little longer to get our food, but that was to be expected and understandable. The service was super friendly!

Brasserie de Halve Maan is prachtig gelegen aan het riviertje De Meije en beschikt over een gezellig terras, maar ook binnen is het goed vertoeven. De bediening is attent en vriendelijk en het is er heel goed eten voor een eerlijke prijs! Kortom: een aanrader!

January 18, 2025 Visited this restaurant today with my dog. Had a cappuccino here and ate a slice of apple pie. This one was nice and warm, just a pity that the whipped cream ran away. Friendly staff. Nice tent. Dogs welcome, provided they are kept on a leash. Nice location, near Pietje Potlood. Parking a little further away at the local school. If you want to earn more stars, use real whipped cream and not from a spray can from the local supermarket. I don't think this is very professional.

Had a fantastic brewery tour in this 6th generation family business and then headed into the brasserie for lunch. Lovely setting, great attentive service, obviously great beer and good food - in fact my daughter says the best cheese croquettes she’s ever had!

Na een forse wandeling van een paar uur zagen wij een bord langs de weg staan van dit restaurant. Het overtrof alonze verwachting. De koffie met appeltaart was zalig. De lunch was ook zeer goed verzorgd. Wij komen zeker terug om nogmaals te genieten van jullie gastvrijheid en de overheerlijke appeltaart.

This catering facility is the only one in the vicinity. There is a lovely terrace. We did find the service slow and the prices quite high.

Coincidentally passed by while cycling and stopped. The apple pie alone is reason enough to come back. There were a group of 9, but that was no problem. In addition, friendly and fast staff, definitely recommended.

This is apple pie worth driving around for. I regularly try to incorporate De Halve Maan into my cycle tours and have already recommended to many people to come here. The staff is always extremely friendly and fast. The location has both a nice terrace and a beautiful space inside.
