What a nice spot by the water to have lunch! I feel like the portion is just too small, but it was very tasty. Parking by car is not recommended as there is virtually no space. There is room to park your bicycle. Very friendly staff, very nice! This place can also be visited from the water!

Enjoyed a great lunch for a great price. Service fine. Still only 2 stars because the acoustics in the bistro area are unfortunately poor. This part was half full with a few large groups. There were 2 of us and we could hardly hear each other anymore. Shame.

Gisteren gegeten bij 't Wapen. Ik was er nog nooit geweest, maar ik ben fan! Ik verwachtte 'gewoon' een eetcafé en in de basis is het dat ook, alleen doen ze alles nét iets beter. De broodjes vooraf waren net iets lekkerder dan normaal (en je kreeg er wél ruim voldoende aioli, kruidenboter en nog iets bij, wat niet vanzelfsprekend is...), de vegetarische kipsaté was goddelijk (vraag me niet hoe, met nep-kip, en toch is het ze gelukt) en ook de dame blanche na afloop was net een tandje beter dan de standaard. Met versgemaakte chocoladesaus, althans, daar leek het zeer sterk op. Dan was het ook nog eens lekker warm, de bediening hartstikke vriendelijk. Ik heb een topavond gehad en als ik weer eens in de buurt ben, kom ik absoluut terug.

Beautiful restaurant in a super location right on the Reeuwijkse Plas. It was too hot to sit outside so we enjoyed coffee and a delicious apple pie in the cool inside of the restaurant. We will definitely come back here!

We wanted dinner on a terrace by the water on a sunny summer day. This was perfect. Staff is friendly. Food is good. I had the fish of thr day sea wolf which is an interesting fish. My friend had the vegetarian and was good too. And I love that they serve limoncellos in shot glasses thats been frozen the way it should be.

On the way home we made a reservation via the internet. Upon arrival it turned out that it has a bar and bistro area. Because the Dutch team had to play football, the atmosphere was of course great! The food was perfect. As well as the service...super friendly! Highly recommended.

Nice restaurant at the Reeuwijkse Plassen. We relaxed here on the terrace and had lunch during our boat trip. You can easily and conveniently moor your boat at the jetties behind the restaurant. In addition to the indoor area, they have a lovely spacious terrace on the water. The lunch menu is simple, but we enjoyed our bouncer and burger. The staff is also super friendly and hospitable.

Good food in a relaxed atmosphere

After having dinner with the family last time, we will never do this again. Too bad it's always worse the second time. Like the Chateau Briand where the cook was told at the table: does the sauce fit for 4 people, yes, for 6, she also said, I understand this, if the first time you get a pan with two people and now 1 pan that was not even properly filled with the four of us, you should be ashamed of paying 37.50 Euro for such a small piece of meat. The vegetables weren't good either, my wife said. When we ordered a Gin Tonic for the second time, in my opinion (judging from the ice) they left the glasses on the bar for too long, which was also seen by the waitress who without words turned around to do something about it , but she calmly came back with the same glasses with melted ice in them. Pieces of bowls missing and then very noisy people who drank themselves in at the bar and were cautiously said something about it or a bachelor party that joined a little later. Actually a terrible dinner for 300 Euro.

Het restaurant - service en kwaliteit eten - waar we voor terugkwamen - was 4 jaar later niet meer hetzelfde. Alle hoofdgerechten geserveerd met zakje doorgebakken friet en wortelgarnituur op bord. Voorheen werd groenten afgestemd op main. Kogelbiefstuk MET saus naar keuze, werd niet eens naar saus gevraagd. Rare werd medium done. Vis aan buitenzijde verbrand. Dessert ok.

Viel erg tegen. Broodplankje met koud brood. Na gevraagd waarom, tja het is niet zo druk als we verwacht hadden . Portbello's. Niet smakelijk gevuld. Friet moest apart besteld worden. Kwam zowat als mosterd na de maaltijd. Onvolwasen personeel. Niet professioneel. Jammer.

Husband ordered mustard soup. It was good but way too salty. Husband ordered the loaded French fries, which he thought was nice. I ordered the burger medium rare and the picture is what I got. I've ordered med rare before at different places and never got this red before. It was so rare that the flesh stuck in your teeth! But waitress insisted this was good. I also asked that the cucumbers be removed but got a bunch which I had to pick out. So, if you want a hamburger tartaar that's fine. Not what I wanted. Burger had very little taste, but fries had allot. We were thinking before the food came that we were going to come here for dinner tomorrow since we saw chateaubriand on the board,but quickly changed our mind at the food quality. Edit: restaurant was prompt with responses and apologized for lunch. They were kind enough to reimburse us for the dishes. This was quite decent and although the burger and soup were less than what we expected, they assured me that it was a mistake and would be handled better in the future.

Delicious food. Good portions. The chicken satay was tender with a good bag of fries. Even though it wasn't busy, it sometimes took a while before you were served. The carrot cake for dessert was a bit dry.

We had a nice meal here, but it was not very special. There were few vegetables. The apple crumble tartelette was missing the apple crumble. Excellent service.

Altijd lekker eten! En gezellig!

Wij hadden via deze bistro een bootje gereserveerd om 2 uurtjes te varen. Een kwartiertje te vroeg aangekomen, maar bootje was al klaar, na het afrekenen (€75 voor 2 uurtjes) gingen we naar de boot en na een korte uitleg konden we vertrekken, onze Labrador mocht ook mee. Het is een sloep (Volta 540) waar je met 8 personen op kunt, wij waren met 4 volwassenen en een hond, ik zou maximaal met 6 personen op de boot gaan, maar dat is persoonlijk, ik heb graag ruimte. De boot heeft een elektrische motor en is heel stil, erg hard gaat het niet, maar dat hoeft ook niet. Na het varen nog lekker wat gedronken en een bittergarnituurtje genomen. Uitstekende bediening, over de menukaart en de gerechten kan ik niets zeggen omdat we daar niets van gegeten hadden.

Grote kaart ( meer dan alleen biefstuk), prima eten en top bediening! Zomers kun je heerlijk buiten eten of gezellig drankje doen aan de buiten bar! Bij minder weer, neem de heerlijke chateaubriand!Ouderwets genieten!

Ik kom hier al langer zo af en toe en het is eigenlijk altijd goed als je hier eet of wat komt drinken. De service is goed van het personeel en ze houden veel rekening met dieetwensen in geval van bijv. allergieën. Goede kaart en fijn terras aan het water van de Reeuwijkse plassen.

Kan je heerlijk lunchen aan her water.

Heerlijk geborreld met mijn werk ivm afscheid van een fijne collega. Helaas begon het te spetteren dat we naar binnen moesten. Binnen vond ik het wat donker. Maar niet TE. Het hoort er ook wel bij. Eigenlijk dus alleen wat van de bestelde snacks (bitterbal, nugget ed) gegeten. Tja, die waren prima. Drank lekker koud. Leuke collega's. Gezellig dus.

Het blijft een erg leuke locatie met erg vriendelijke en behulpzame medewerkers.

Heerlijke (zo niet de beste ooit!) chateaubriand gegeten. De stroganoffsaus werd aan tafel vers voor je bereid.

Eten was lekker. Service ook goed. Fantastische plaats. Bankjes zijn niet goed. Mis je een kussen. Hebben het daar wel heerlijk gehad. Aanrader

We wilden eten. Op de internetsite stond dat je voor het terras niet kon reserveren, dus op tijd er hern, vrijdag om 18. Daar aangekomen, was het terras nog grotendeels leeg. Het hele terras voor gereserveert voor een groep. Binnen kon ook niet worden gegeten, omdat daar het buffet voor de groep kwam. Misschien netjes om dit op de website te vermelden. Toen we dit zeiden was het antwoord, dat doen we nooit.

Was pretty good voor een gezellige lunch! Fijn om in schaduw te kunnen zitten op zeer warme dagen👍

De dame die ons bediende was niet echt aardig. Juffie kort van stof. De jongens die liepen te bedienen waren wel erg aardig.

Erg fijn en ontspannen sfeer met terras pal aan de plas. Lekkere kaart. Erg vriendelijk personeel. Ook sloepverhuur aanwezig. Echte aanrader!

Fijn restaurant, goede service en leuke locatie

Ontzettend leuke plek! We hebben hier tijdens meiden weekend 2 bootjes gehuurd en heerlijk kunnen varen, top geregeld. Na afloop nog gezellig een wijntje gedronken op het sfeervolle terras. Super vriendelijke bediening. We waren een pan vergeten in de boot en het cafe heeft ons op gebeld, de volgende dag hebben we de pan opgehaald en ze hebben hem zelfs voor ons afgewassen! Hoe lekker is dat! Top tent zou iedereen aanraden om hier heen te gaan!

Het ligt aan het water maar het weer was er niet naar om buiten te eten. Binnen erg gezellig en heerlijk eten.
