Great restaurant. Customer-friendly staff. Helpful in showing the way with the app. The pastries are delicious. The tea glasses could be a bit bigger; it is really just a puddle of water with a tea bag in it.

This was really bizarrely bad. The fries were incredibly greasy. The steak was supposed to be medium, but overcooked; I've rarely eaten anything this bad.

For the money you spend here, you should expect better service. We had ordered a chicken satay and a hamburger menu. I asked, "Madam, could you cook my chicken satay a little more?" to which I was snapped at with, "Yes sir, it's chicken." Okay, no problem. Then I received a chicken satay where the inside was still raw. I got a new one, same story. So I ate my fries and the salad that came with it; the rest went straight into the trash. When I see that the person supposed to prepare your hot meals would rather be playing with colleagues to see who can sit on that food cart first, I wonder what you are doing in the kitchen there. I therefore strongly advise against this La Place. It was an expensive blunder, which is why we won't be going back here. This was on August 10th around 6:00 PM. Regards

Worth repeating. Good food and friendly staff.

What an unwelcoming atmosphere! We are used to reasonable quality at La Place. The smoothie and a piece of cake weren't bad, but the service left a lot to be desired. And the price too. Both contribute to the unpleasant aftertaste. When we stood at the checkout (fortunately not with hot food), there was no one to be seen. After waiting for a while, someone came over who was grumpy, and we had to move the tray to a completely different checkout, which he also had to open. In short: Unwelcoming, empty, expensive, and grumpy staff. Not recommended.

Bad experience. The chicken burger bun was very small, burnt, and had a very strange taste. Definitely not worth 10 euros. Other buns were no longer available to order. Everything was already sold out. The staff wasn't friendly either.

Now that everything is regulated due to the takeover by Jumbo, there is little coziness left, and paying €20 for 2 sandwiches and coffee is truly out of all proportion. You aren't sitting on a North Sea beach here!

Terrible, apologies, but I can't put it any other way. First of all, you are greeted unfriendly by a bunch of loitering teenagers outside the door. Then you encounter extremely grumpy staff. They haven't invented laughter yet. If you want a bit of luxury, want to spend some money on a nice meal, I wouldn't go here. We have been driving here occasionally for years to treat ourselves. So we make a special trip for it. This is really unacceptable. We used to love La Place. Now I could just cry. The recipe for the Vega Burger has also changed. The fries taste different. It is no longer worth the effort.

You can just grab a nice meal there and take a break before continuing on your way.

Ordered and paid for a simple pizza margherita, waited almost half an hour. My partner had finished eating by then. Upon inquiry, it turned out the pizza was sold out, and without asking, we were offered a bowl we hadn't ordered. We didn't have time for another dish, got a refund for the pizza from the manager—and an apology, to be sure, but nothing more than that. Not our kind of place to eat.

The driver has a great parking spot with a restroom and delicious pizza! The prices are reasonable.

Unfortunately, there is no large La Place sign clearly indicated along the A12 coming from Utrecht. Head towards the petrol station and choose the right lane. Then you will drive straight into the parking lot for both La Place and McDonald's.

Despite 30 degrees outside (and well-ventilated inside), the staff continue working with a smile and great friendliness next to the pizza oven and stove. Compliments!! And the food and drinks are very tasty. A nice, extensive lunch for during our trip.

I find 4.50 for a ready-made cappuccino from a vending machine very excessive. It is a nice place to work or study though.

Fortunately, another good roadside restaurant on my way along the A12 to the west of the country.

I have rarely encountered such customer-unfriendly people. When asked if there was a choice in bread, white or brown, the answer was: No, then you simply won't get an order from us if you don't want white bread. Fine then.

What a disappointment. We thought we'd grab a nice bite to eat during a long journey. But dried-out chicken leg and tough steak are far from tasty :( Truly a shadow of its former glory, too. Not a single seat without stains!

A bit of mixed feelings.....the food is fine...but with a bit of a struggle...at 10 to 6 on Friday afternoon there are no sandwiches, the soup is gone, the chicken menu is sold out, the salad bar is almost empty, cutlery, plates, trays and soup bowls are a bit wet and dirty......and to top it all off, our menu isn't being prepared, so we have to ask for it again...seems a bit like unmotivated or chaotic atmosphere among the staff......we weren't used to this, very disappointing for such a good chain as La Place.....

Friendly staff, nice renewed interior, good acoustics. The pizza was nothing to write home about, I ordered a Serrona, but got a very flat and burnt Margaret with barely 3 pieces of serrano ham and 4 leaves of rucola. Would come again, but not for pizza.

Toilets are free here, but the food arrangements are different.

The staff here look like they aren't really in the mood. Sparsely topped sandwiches, but that's the case at other branches too. So not surprised. Definitely not sensory-friendly. Hard floor and constant scraping of chairs. High-pitched sounds. Enough to drive you crazy.

I ate a hamburger with fries two weeks ago. The hamburger really wasn't good and the fries were decent. I went again on Saturday and at 7:00 PM a lot of the menu items were no longer available. The steak was edible, but the fried potatoes were like rubber. I won't be eating there again for the time being.

A great La Place in a convenient location. I haven't experienced it being extremely busy here yet, so you can always find a nice spot to sit. I have occasionally worked from this La Place on my laptop. The Wi-Fi connection is also excellent here. The staff is nice and friendly. And... I keep coming back for the cream cheese and chive sandwiches.

Stopped at this La Place for a quick lunch to to ear off of the highway. Easily accessible and there is plenty of parking all around. Food: It has the typical La Place food available, I got a classic burger with fries, was made fresh and a heavy portion of fries with it (so much that I could not finish it). Their soups are also okay and tasty. The desert left room for improvement, as it was quite dry and no filling within their tart. Ammenties: They have free bathroom, and it was somewhat clean. They have new Dyson washer/dryer nozzles, so careful when drying your hand after washing it as it blasts the soapy water everywhere. Parking: Plenty of free parking upfront of the place.

I wasn't expecting a culinary highlight, but the choice was fries and satay. The satay sauce was in a pan with a thick crust already stuck to the sides. I was supposed to have salad, but lettuce was nowhere to be found. The grilled vegetables looked drained, dried out, and above all, unappetizing, so I skipped them. And then you pay almost 20 euros for your plate of food...nope, no luck. I'm happy to pass.

Pffff...no offense to the staff who try, but what a glorious sight this restaurant is. A very poorly maintained parking lot and rotten wooden planks, next to a hotel that appears to be rented by the hour and an adjacent casino...these were already red flags...but I gave it a try anyway. I ended up with chicken satay and fries...but to charge 18.95 for a pathetic, urgent chicken thigh satay and a plate of fries...oh yeah, we were also allowed a salad...no lettuce, just opened and mostly blackened vegetables, some lukewarm potatoes, and a pitiful pile of spinach... I get it, it's not a luxury Michelin-starred restaurant, but for this paltry mess of food, every euro is too much...you'd probably get fresher food at the McDonald's next door. This is definitely the last time I'll try La Place...go to the gas station for a quick bite...same (or not) quality, but much cheaper!

Great lunch. The food is always good at LP. However, it's still a roadside diner. Little atmosphere and, of course, self-service. Nothing wrong with that.

Two small cappuccinos + two regular slices of apple pie with nuts and a dollop of whipped cream. I was asked to pay €19.50 and suddenly felt a slump. If I'm going to get screwed, I'd like to do it another way.

This place is very beautiful, compared to other plazas. We liked it very much. The surroundings are very nice, spacious, airy, and peaceful. It has a fireplace; I find it romantic. There is also a children's play area.

The staff is friendly. The food is decent. From the outside, it gives a rather unkempt impression. A bit faded. I had to search for a clean soup bowl and spoon. Yuck.

A super nice and spacious place with old-fashioned service and delicious fresh lunches, etc. It's also beautifully and cozy decorated for the holidays! A great place to enjoy a drink next to the highway. Easy parking right outside, including disabled parking.

Great place for a quick but tasty bite

One coffee and one cappuccino cost €8.10! And that's for a lukewarm cup/cappuccino. I'll definitely avoid it next time.

Great atmosphere, too bad they weren't stocked. I especially love the dark chocolate milk and the marinated chicken sandwich with bean sprouts. So I opted for the classic hamburger, which was very good. Other reviews complain about the quality of the wok dishes and the vegan options. I think La Place excels at what it stands for. If you want a top-notch wok dish, go to a wok restaurant or takeaway, but you won't have the ambiance of La Place.

Very pleasant atmosphere, friendly service. A decent breakfast for a reasonable price. And you can taste that the homemade apple fritters are made with love. Definitely use the app; you can easily save up for free coffee or food.

Excellent parking! Everything you need is there: a VIP toilet, water can be found at a gas station, a store is 2.6 km away, you can walk. In general, everything is super!!!

Perhaps the best parking in the Netherlands. On weekdays, there are no spaces after 6:00 PM, and on weekends, it's only half full. Showers and toilets are free, and the food in the restaurant and service are top-notch!

It's getting more and more expensive. I go to McDonald's for coffee. The pea soup is delicious, though.

I got a wok noodles. Wish I did’t. It looked like a teenage student made it. There was barely any vegetables,the noodles were too many or poorly mixed, the broccoli they had on display was probably only for display since I found so little in the dish itself. Next time, get a satè. My partner had that and it looked and tasted good.

There were few vegan options, and when I asked if they'd make a sandwich with hummus and grilled vegetables, they reacted grumpily, saying the hummus was for something else. 🙁 But I got a steak tartare sandwich (vegan) with butter. Hopefully, it was plant-based butter. Not a pleasant experience, and it's a shame they don't consider vegan guests very well.

Unfortunately, we ate at La Place on Saturday. Expensive for chicken satay (gross) with fries and a salad bar that was half empty for more than a day. My partner had a chicken leg that was so dry it had probably been sitting there all day. We won't be back. It's a shame, as La Place was always good.

The food is very expensive. Around 7 euros for a baguette and a drink is also around 4 euros. The food is good and everything is well-prepared, but very expensive.

We had the wok with prawns. Unfortunately, the prawns were few and far between, and the rest was just noodles and carrots. It's a shame there were no vegetables, and the flavor was also lacking. Very pricey for this disappointing meal!

The food is good, but I have one comment: I had the noodles with chicken thigh, which contained whole cloves of garlic, and the overall flavor was mostly garlic, which made the dish okay but not great. The soup and bread were fresh and excellent, as were the muffins. The prices are reasonable for the quality, and I can't fault them. The toilet gate is broken, making it easy to walk past, which shouldn't be the case. The hotel appears to be a reception center for the COA (Central Agency for the Reception of Asylum Seekers), but we haven't noticed anything of this so far. There is ample parking. The restaurant is nicely decorated with a hair dryer, which creates a more homey atmosphere. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Some additional navigation signs from the A12 exit from The Hague would be nice, but the music in the toilets is good.

Fast internet. Food could be tastier. And prices are different. Anyway, good for a meeting. Business lunch. Peaceful for work. There is also a hotel nearby 🏨

The food in the display cases all looks well-prepared. It's quite tempting to choose something. We had a veggie burger with fries and a cheeseburger with fries. We were given an alarm, and when it went off, our food was ready. The fries were fresh and well-cooked. The cheeseburger was perfectly cooked and generously topped with lettuce, tomato, and pickles. Then there was some sauce on top. The price is too high. It should definitely be reduced by at least 3 euros. The veggie burger was tasty. It's otherwise quiet, but that's probably also due to the hotel becoming a reception center. All in all, everything is quite expensive. To keep it accessible, the price could be lowered a bit.

A terrible experience. From a distance, it looks nice and tasty, but the tables and restrooms are extremely dirty. The food is extremely disappointing. The fries, for example, are soggy and unsalted. The burgers and salads are disappointing and not at all like the pictures. Only the strawberry and raspberry smoothies were really good. The banana and lime smoothie was really disgusting. It looked like it had gone bad. When we pointed this out to the staff, we were told, "It has lime in it, so it's sour," but what we tasted was definitely not lime. We're definitely not McDonald's fans, but we certainly could have had a better meal there.

The food here is fine, just a bit expensive, but then again, so are all LA places. The toilet, which you had to pay for, was extremely filthy; I've never smelled such a foul odor. Half the toilets also didn't have a door handle, so that's a bit of a relief. So, if you really need to pee, don't do it here!

The meat was burnt around the edges, the salads were almost gone, and what was left didn't look very appetizing anymore. The meat wasn't very tasty either, a bit tough.

Good for a stopover, unfortunately, we have to pay to use the restroom. It's outrageous that visitors who need some useful salts should be able to use it for free. So, we'd rather keep driving from now on.
