Yesterday I celebrated my birthday at De Jutter Purmerend; nice atmosphere and attentive staff. When we mentioned that my husband had fluid restrictions, the young lady stopped coming over and kept asking if we wanted another drink. The food was excellent and we will certainly go there again, although it is a shame about the factory-made fries; that could be better, for example, farmhouse fries or something similar. Otherwise, highly recommended.

I didn't think that the brasserie, which is practically in the field, could have so many customers at opening time. Thanks to the kindness of the people who serve the place, we managed to have lunch there, without a reservation, but, of course, we were lucky. I think 4.4 is an incorrect score. I would go for a 4.7, even 4.8

I had a delicious meal at De Jutter last night. It is a beautiful place, but there is one minor downside: our table for two was very close to a table for four where people sat down who were quite loud and also felt the need to ruin my dessert by happily blowing their cigar smoke in our direction. We wanted to stay for a drink, but these people made us decide to leave and go for a drink somewhere else. Perhaps it would be a good idea to have a smoking ban outside???

Good evening. Tonight, we ordered two salads, a Chouffe beer, and a local beer. After checking several times, the total came to €51. We paid €56. The waiter, who wasn't particularly friendly, added a 10% tip without informing us. Appalling. I won't be returning to this country. A French woman who should never speak to her about this country again.

We came to De Jutter today with my mother and our little dog Lio, because we had read online that dogs are very welcome. That appealed to us. When we took our seats outside, my mother lifted Lio onto the chair next to her for a moment. Almost immediately, an employee came up to us and said in an arrogant and condescending tone: “And the little dog can stay on the floor for a moment.” We understand perfectly well that there are rules and that dogs are not allowed on the chairs. That is not our issue, anyway. My mother then politely asked if we could perhaps sit in another section without a roof, so that we could sit quietly with Lio and any other guests would not be bothered by it. The employee responded again with little friendliness: “That is not up to me, but the little dog can stay on the floor there too.” Lio does not shed and had just arrived, so he was still a bit nervous. My mother just wanted to let him get used to things quietly, give him a bone, and some water. Once again: we understand the house rules, but we found the way we were addressed anything but hospitable. We therefore decided to leave immediately. When my mother indicated that we were going somewhere else, the employee responded again in an arrogant manner with: “That’s perfectly fine too.” It is a real shame, because a friendly explanation of the rules would have been more than enough for us. Hospitality lies not only in the rules you enforce, but above all in the way you treat your guests. Unfortunately, we did not experience it that way today.

We had a delicious meal in this atmospheric restaurant. The service was quick and friendly. The food was tasty, but we felt it was a bit small considering the high price of the dish. For us, it is really much too expensive to go again.

Friends took me out for dinner and I wasn't familiar with the place yet. But wow, what a nice, atmospheric spot this is. My friends had a fish trio, which looked good too, but I'm not really into trios, so I went for the chicken satay. The chicken was amazing, but there was a bit of an overabundance of satay sauce. That was tasty too, but you run the risk of it becoming a bit overpowering, and in my opinion, that does the chicken a disservice. But I see this often, so it must be supposed to be like that. It might also be up to me to specifically indicate that the satay sauce doesn't need to be poured over it so much. As for the wine, I had a Verdejo and my girlfriend had a Pinot, but which one is which when you serve it, haha. It was a fun moment, and that's a big plus. Just keep it simple. For next time, you could put one glass of wine on a coaster on your tray when serving so you can keep them separate. I had a nice evening and ate well, so yes, I can definitely recommend this place. What a lovely place this is. The food is actually always good, the atmosphere is cozy, and the Jutter team is fantastic. In the summer, the terrace is also a great place to eat or to find some peace and coziness after a busy day with a drink and a charcuterie board. The location of De Jutter is unique. Close to the city but in the tranquility of the meadows. In short, if you are looking for a unique and delicious place where you are welcome, can eat well, and can really unwind... this is the place to be. See you soon, guys.

We were here a while back, after a nice walk in the Twiske with our dogs. Upon entering, we earned 2 stars; that was the only friendly lady there. We were allowed to walk through to the terrace; the weather was beautiful, a bit chilly but sunny. Apparently, we were supposed to smell that half of the terrace was already closed off (2 p.m.?). So we sat in the "wrong spot." We had to sit in the crowd with our 2 dogs. Fine. But also in the shade, so after (9!!!) minutes, when our lady walked past, I asked if our parasol could be lowered. He laughed as if he'd seen a ghost, "Noooo, that's not possible." Oh well, okay. And he walked away. Incidentally, not a single "good afternoon," welcome, or directing us to a table in a friendly tone. Another 4 minutes later, we were finally allowed to order something. A Coke, Green ice tea, and 1 portion of 8 bitterballen. I forgot to ask for mayonnaise, so he "also" had to get mayonnaise for me, which he wasn't looking forward to at all. Which, by the way, costs 1 euro for a mini cup. Fine. The 3 stars are because the bitterballen were actually tasty. The bill? 17.60!!! SHAMEFUL. That would be about 10 euros for 8 bitterballen and a bit of mayo. Cola 3.50 Ice tea 3.60 Mayonnaise 1.00 Bitterballen 9.50 ???? If I had received a bit of friendliness for that money, it would have been fine, but this person on the terrace at 27:05 around 2 or 3 pm should seriously ask themselves if this is the job that suits them. Bleghhh never again, then.

Very customer-friendly I'm not even allowed to eat with my family because I had a puppy with me in a travel bag that doesn't bother anyone. So I can't sit with my family, well, outside or before 5 pm you are allowed to come with your dog. You won't see me here again 😡

I have to say the food is incredibly tasty, and the atmosphere is good too. However, I found the service a bit lacking; it was really busy... so I think that was the reason.

We had the asparagus/salmon and baby potatoes dinner menu. (April 8th... early asparagus season in the Netherlands). This dish was good, but just the baby potatoes on this plate felt a bit bare in terms of taste and presentation. The perfection of these potatoes lies in the addition of warm melted butter with a touch of salt, pepper, and parsley. Had this been included, I would have given this dish five stars! (Salt and pepper were on the table, though). The service was top-notch. Beautiful interior, but sometimes the furniture is broken! A point for attention (the mesh under the chairs is sometimes broken and visible to all customers). These are truly the only points of improvement I could identify! You can be very proud of your brasserie/restaurant interior, which is also situated in a beautiful part of Purmerland, close to Purmerend Weidevenne. I also had drinks and a snack here previously. That was also a positive experience. I can recommend coming here for a meal and drinks as a guest.

The restaurant is decorated incredibly nicely, and is also clean and tidy! We enjoyed the pork tenderloin medallions (daily special) and the sticky toffee dessert was delicious!! The service was incredibly friendly; we would love to return to De Jutter.

I have been coming to De Jutter for years with diverse groups, and everyone is enthusiastic every time.

This used to be a good restaurant, but it became terribly bad. 1. Once I came there with my wife and 3-months old child (in a stroller) for a cup of coffee. The restaurant was almost empty (just a couple of tables occupied), and the ONLY table the waiter offered to us was next to another occupied table. I explicitly asked for a distant table, so that the child can sleep and would not disturb others if wakes up, but the waiter literally said they would not serve us at other tables. 2. Another time I came again with wife and kid (in a stroller). Half of tables were free and the ONLY table they offered was next to the bar where everyone is waking. The waiter looked at us, at the stroller and said "this is the only table we have". No need to say we left, cause it's absolutely rude and unacceptable. They behave so horribly because it's the only restaurant in this area. If they throw you away, another people will come.

Today we thoroughly enjoyed the cheese fondue. Everyone gets their own pot of cheese, along with a large platter of meat, bread, and vegetables. Absolutely delicious! And the service and atmosphere were, as always, fantastic at De Jutter.

My raw chicken wasn't taken seriously. It was truly inedible, and everyone at the table agreed except the waitstaff. In hindsight, I should have just walked away and paid for the other diners' dishes. Cured for now. I'm writing this negative review again because I didn't hear anything from De Jutter that same day.

Tonight I thoroughly enjoyed the meals at De Jutter. I'd never been there before, but what an incredibly good restaurant this is! I entered the restaurant and found it had a wonderful atmosphere, beautifully decorated, and for those who love the early Christmas, there were even Christmas trees in the restaurant, which made it all the more special. The food is of excellent quality, and the carpaccio, in particular, was delicious and generously filled. Of course, the delicious spare ribs for which the restaurant is known are a must-try. They were wonderfully tender and flavorful. And of course, the wonderfully crispy fries are a must-try. With excellent and friendly service, we had a wonderful meal at De Jutter. So, if you love meat, this restaurant is highly recommended. All in all, a very cozy restaurant with good quality food. I definitely recommend it! Greetings from the review master

I was shocked when I checked the bill at home! I'd been charged €1 for butter on my bread (just a small supermarket bag). I'd also been charged €1.50 for some extra water with my overly strong coffee. Disgraceful for such a successful restaurant!

I've been here several times because of the beautiful location and decor/interior. Unfortunately, last night was a somewhat disappointing experience. Upon arrival, we couldn't find a seat where we'd have liked. The fireplace was out of order (as it was last time), which is actually why I came specifically... and the sofa... The sofa table was meant for large groups, I understand, but they didn't show up. (Last time, I also just sat there with my family). Later, the story was, "I've already cleaned and set everything." At 9:30, we were instinctively looked away (he frequently checked if the food was finished). It's such a shame that this young man also made a comment that indirectly wanted us to be sent away so that the service would be over. I did speak out then because I find it really unacceptable that guests are essentially sent away almost half an hour before closing time. Several other great staff members, but this young man doesn't seem to be enjoying himself (something is going on) or doesn't quite understand his job. Rushed, riled up, and not a pleasant way to interact, it's such a shame when you finally get to go out for dinner again. I actually don't want to go out anymore because of this, and that's a shame!

After a long walk, the three of us stopped for a drink. I asked for a slice of orange in my ginger tea, and the employee said that was no problem. When I went to pay, I saw €0.25 on the enormous counter for the wafer-thin 1/2 orange slice. I don't call this good service, and my first thought was: things are getting worse and worse in the hospitality industry. I'll have to pay for the ice cubes later too :-( Of course, I'm not concerned about the €0.25, but about the good service that hospitality is known for... well, this is not what a hospitality establishment is supposed to be. We both had the "angry lion" (spicy chicken sandwich). You can't lick your plate because, man, this sandwich is delicious. Service was quick, and the order was on the table in 10 minutes.

The bar was a great place to spend the evening. The cocktails were original, and the service radiated enthusiasm. There was a pleasant buzz, and everyone seemed to be having a good time. The music was lively, but not too loud. The atmosphere felt almost festive. I'll definitely be back for another night out.

Normally, the Jutter is always very pleasant and welcoming, but today was a huge disappointment! We repeatedly asked for a drink, but each time the staff looked at us and didn't take a single note. Yesterday we wanted to have a nice lunch at De Jutter. It's normally a great place to be. Unfortunately, not today. The wait was very long, and after raising our hands several times, someone finally showed up. We weren't asked very friendly what we wanted to drink. We immediately asked for the lunch menu. Drinks arrived (which took a very long time, too), but no menu. We asked again, saying his colleague would bring them, but in the end, he decided to bring the menu himself. It was almost thrown on the table. We quickly chose something and placed the menu on the corner to make it clear we wanted to order. And what happened...no one came! And if you think it was very busy? No, it wasn't, but they were more busy chatting with friends. After almost 20 minutes, still no one, so we decided to go elsewhere for lunch. Naturally, we paid for our drinks at the bar and told them about our experience at De Jutter today. The complaint was heard, and the woman in question apologized, explaining that this was obviously unacceptable. We've been here many times, for lunch, dinner, and coffee. It was always fantastic!!! Today, De Jutter was unworthy. Maybe there's a new owner? I have no idea, but we're cured for now.

Beautiful place and a lovely spot. We came on Sunday for a snack and a drink. It took a long time, but that can happen these days. After enjoying our first drinks and the "Jutterplatteau" (recommended), we ordered a second round. That also took a while, and we first received the bittergarnituur (a Dutch snack) and later the drinks. When they served us, they left all the empty glasses and platters. We reported this and received an apology. I explained that while it might happen, it's still not polite, and if something takes a little longer due to circumstances, please let us know. Drinks first, then snacks, is part of the fun. We paid €79.55, but unfortunately, it didn't live up to our expectations. What a shame!

A quick review for my 75-year-old mother and father. They got food poisoning after both ordering chicken satay. My elderly mother called to report it, and the woman working there casually asked if they hadn't eaten anything bad at home. What I find so strange is that you choose your dish—meat and fries—and it doesn't come with any vegetables, and then you pay €28.50 for the meat and fries. That's disappointing and expensive. They could also include a small bowl of raw vegetables. The place is beautiful, and both the interior and exterior are very nice.
