Delicious food! Very friendly staff!!!

The service was excellent, everything inside looks beautiful, the food is tasty but very meager in terms of what you get for your money, and I think it is a shame that you have to order everything with it instead of it being included.

Went to De Stallen for dinner for the first time. There was plenty of variety and the food was delicious. Everyone had different dishes, and they all enjoyed them. Definitely recommended! The service was also excellent, with friendly staff and fast service. The only downside was that there were two large groups behind us who were very noisy, making it difficult to have a conversation.

The food was delicious, the service was also good, but the biggest disappointment was the carnivore platter, you have to order it for a minimum of 2 people, but you get half a chicken, a very small steak (too small to share), and two mini spare ribs, too crazy for words for €32.00 per person, both the deluxe and regular options, it's not for two people, and when we reported it, nothing was said or done, but sorry, the disgrace of the restaurant, my husband will not be coming back!

The food was delicious. But half glasses of wine were Qanta. Dessert, I like it grand, 2 drops?? 6.20?

A wonderful lunch spot, with a wide selection of delicious (large) dishes at a great price! The atmosphere is also very cozy, like being in a real old stable.

Starters were okay and delivered quickly, I waited for my steak 30~40 minutes AFTER we finished our starters and they took the plates. The steak was delicious though. The steak is literally just the meat without anything on the side. I do not understand why the cooking took so long. We were the only visitors at the moment. They took our used cutlery, but the new ones they put on dirty napkins, or on the bear dirty table 😑 Why not to replace the napkins alongside the cutlery? UPD: the morning after this restaurant my wife had most of the symptoms of food poisoning. The evening before we only ate and drunk whatever was served here.

Unfortunately, the price-quality ratio was poor. The satay was sparse and too dry. Fries weren't included, so we had to order more, which made it pricey. The burger was good, but the fries weren't included. Still, we felt a bit underwhelmed when we left. It's a shame.

The food is excellent. So why 4 stars instead of 5? It's the price-quality ratio. The prices are steep. A minor drawback, and maybe I'm a bit of a whiner; a draft beer should be perfect. The Heineken wasn't quite right, and well, it's quite expensive these days. Hence the 4 stars. We only had a main course and a drink.

Last Sunday Lunch at the Stables. Ordered a tasting for 3 people. On the etagere everything was for 2 people. Strange if you order for 3. After comment it was replenished but I find it strange. Staff good and friendly. Also solution-oriented. Food was tasty but I found this a miss.

With the desire to present the pieces of spareribs nicely, the bones are chopped, which causes splinters in the meat. So pay close attention!

A day in Purmerend back in my old town where I lived for more than 10 years. So different now... I believe it was round 1992 we moved there from Amsterdam. Didn't even know this place but we had a nice lunch with a coffee and a coke, see the pictures. Chicken pesto is really good to choose with 2 slices of brown bread, delicious. Friendly staff, good food!

Just look for the entrance for the first time. A warm welcome at the door and a great ambiance inside. Lunch was perfect! WE WOULD LOVE TO COME BACK HERE!

Ontzettend genoten van het diner bij restaurant De Stallen. Het prachtige pand zorgde voor een sfeervolle ambiance, de service was uitstekend en het eten overheerlijk! We waren met zeven personen en iedereen was zeer tevreden. De bediening was vriendelijk en dacht goed mee, zoals bij de keuze voor de tomahawk steak – is één voldoende voor drie personen of toch te weinig? Uiteindelijk kozen we voor twee, en ze waren verrukkelijk! De hele tafel heeft ervan genoten. Ook de voorgerechten en desserts mochten niet ontbreken en waren een perfecte afsluiting van de avond. Wat mij betreft een absolute aanrader – ik kom zeker terug!

Er wordt met een tijdslot gewerkt en staat in kleine letters bij de reservering aangegeven. Resultaat was dat wij weg moesten van onze tafel na het hoofdgerecht. Dan doe je echt iets heel erg verkeerd. Zorg dan op zijn minst dat je volledig gegeten kan hebben. Zeer onvriendelijk en zeer slecht. Gelukkig wel welkom bij de concurrent op de koemarkt. Maar onze avond was wel verpest. En het is nou niet een van der Valk ofzo waar je dit zou kunnen verwachten. Se Stallen, NOOIT meer. Wat een afgang.

The food was good, but compared to experiences with lunches at other restaurants, it was disappointing. No wardrobe, coats had to be hung between the tables, uncomfortable, especially in winter. The atmosphere is certainly nice, the atmosphere of the old function building has been well taken over. The next course was already being served, while some had not even finished the soup. Price normal.

Stallen is my favorite lunch spot in Purmerend! The service is welcoming, friendly, and attentive. You are greeted with a smile and a nice farewell when you leave. The food is delicious with options for both vegetarians and meat-eaters. If you're vegetarian, try the brioche with forest mushrooms and the homemade ginger beer. Highly recommend!

We had dinner at the stables yesterday, February 6, and we thought it was so neatly taken care of, everything looked and tasted very good. We will definitely eat here more often.

Ambience is great, but I don't like the concept where you have to order and pay for everything separately. For €24 you get an average piece of steak of (I think) no more than 150 grams. on an otherwise completely empty board. No gravy, onion or mushrooms, nothing. Add a mini bowl of lettuce (€4) (just lettuce and a few croutons, nothing in it) and the same bowl of fries (5.50) with lots of small hard pieces and the bowl of mayo was more bowl than mayo and therefore far too little! This meal totals €33.50, a lot of money and I left hungry. Shame

The atmosphere is cozy. However, if you have a food intolerance, it is better to eat somewhere else. They remove gluten-rich additives from dishes and then they are still served it. In addition, there are no replacements for the gluten-rich dishes and some waiters do not know the difference between gluten-free and lactose-free.

Overall an excellent establishment. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. The food was tasty, but the portions may be on the small side for big eaters. It is also on the pricey side; especially because side dishes such as fries, sauce and vegetables must be ordered separately from the main courses.

At the Stables you can enjoy delicious food, friendly service and the atmosphere is also good. Although the acoustics are very noisy when it is busy, especially with loud background music. But that's personal.

The place is beautiful and super cozy. Making a reservation was easy, quick, and practical. The service at the restaurant was fast, but there’s one thing I didn’t like: we ordered 3 Italian Burgers, and instead of each person getting their own fries, they came together in 2 containers. This is a problem because each person pays for a specific amount of fries, and we didn’t know the portion per person. The same thing happened with the cheese appetizer from the menu. We ordered 3, and they came in 2 bowls. That was the only part I didn’t like.

Very nice ambiance. Lovely benches where you can sit in company or at a table. A bit more spacious, so you don't have to sit with your back against the neighbors or looking at someone else's plate. Management is young but very neat and correct. Everything under the watchful eye of the manager. The food is ok, but the prices are quite on the high side. In this case I think the balance is tipped a bit in the wrong direction. Either it's too expensive or the food isn't good enough. If that is adjusted, there is a lot of potential in this beautiful restaurant. 3 people, no starter but a dessert: € 155.00 For that money I expect an excellent main course. Added bruschetta, well, that had little to do with bruschetta, it's better to ignore it. Spareribs are wonderfully soft (falling off the bone) and tasty and generously marinated. Why there are still 2 sauces on the table for the ribs is a mystery to me? Hamburger was richly topped, meat was tasty. Grilled chicken was way too salty, you can still taste it the next morning. On the edge of too dry. The lady steak had an unchewable piece in it. Shame. Fries were tasty. Little salad or vegetables. In 2024, this can be done a little better (read: more responsibly). In short, there are still some areas for improvement, but I am also very critical. All in all: great restaurant - if you are not too critical of your taste and the euros.

Nice aunt in Purmerend. Literally a few seconds walk from the parking lot (paid parking). Food was tasty, neat and clean tent. Steak sandwich was very tasty. You should definitely try it.

Ate here a few weeks ago. Food is okay, fine, but the portions are really small for what you pay. The service is really not good, even though there seemed to be a lot of employees present. They were very friendly, but we always had to wait a very long time: to take the order, to bring the drinks, to bring the food. It took a very long time to get our food and bringing a few drinks took a very long time. The atmosphere in the restaurant is nice and it looks neat, but I don't think I will come back here again.

The food was incredible and the portions are generous. The staff is very friendly and very attentive. Atmosphere is amazing for a chill dinner, but also for some drinks with friends.

It took 2.5 hours before we had our main course. When we inquired, there were problems in the kitchen that they could have informed us of earlier. Even after 2.5 hours, not the entire table had food. Price-quality ratio is very poor. Main course satay is just one skewer for €23.50 without a side. Expected much more from this place. Very unfortunate…

Goed ontvangst en direct naar de tafel gebracht. Jonge bediening maar wel goed en heeft door hoe het werkt. Menu werd goed uitgelegd. Mooie opgemaakte borden, goede smaken en prijs/kwaliteit is in orde. Mooie zaak in centrum van Purmerend. Vonden we iets minder fijn? Ja, het was best rumoerig/luidruchtig toen wij er waren; muziek, baby’s etc.Akoestisch gezien kan het wellicht beter. Wij komen terug!

Kerstavond hier gegeten. Eerst gedoe over een kinderstoel die zonder overleg weg werd gehaald. Dan moest er maar iemand op de bank tussenin, vond men. Uiteindelijk de stoel weer terug kunnen krijgen. Het personeel was erg zakelijk, niet heel vriendelijk. Saaie kaart met basisgerechten en best duur als je patat, groente en saus er los bij moet bestellen. Een proeverij voor € 18,- pp, alleen de soep was lekker. Stoofpot met zeen, niet gare halve kip van de grill met een week jasje. Spareribs met een veel te dikke kruidenlaag. Het was echt niet goed. De dessertkaart hebben we overgeslagen. Hier gaan we niet meer eten. De uitbater doet dit prachtige pand geen recht!

Eenvoudige lunch genoten in restaurant De Stallen. Mooi gelegen in het centrum van Purmerend. De koemarkt, daar waar voorheen het vee verhandeld werd, is alweer een tijdje een prachtig horecabedrijf rijker. Vandaag daar maar eens voor een vlugge lunch aangeschoven. Mooi luchtig brioche-brood met zalm en kruidensalade en kruidenmayonaise. Als toetje de brownie met caramelfudge-zeezout ijs. Heerlijk romig ijs maar de brownie aan de droge kant. Spijtig maar deze werd keurig van de rekening gehaald. Mooi etablissement, warme moderne inrichting met zicht in de keuken. Nette prijzen ten aanzien van het gebodene. Gauw het diner eens proberen.

Beautiful restaurant, delicious food and very attentive service.

We were there on Christmas Day. What a delicious menu they had put together, very surprising and diverse. I really enjoyed it, and I managed not to taste the various flavors with my finger :) I did not try the wine arrangement because I still had to drive. But I saw the other person enjoying it. The service was fantastic. They all made sure that we had a fantastic evening.

Very friendly staff in a very attractive environment. We were there for a high cocktail. The snacks and cocktails were perfectly matched. Highly recommended! You can also enjoy a meal or a drink here.

For me the food was great. Too spicy for someone else. Service left much to be desired. Drink orders incomplete, wrong drinks. A long time coming. More attention to the large groups and not to the smaller tables. Too bad because it looks great there. There are enough staff around but not the attention you want.

You can enjoy a delicious meal here for a nice price, but if you book in advance you are assured of a table inside or outside. Enough choice on the menu from advance to lunch and dinner, friendliness is of paramount importance to the staff. And when we were here yesterday (29/6), it was quiet and there was even time for a conversation with staff. The food tasted excellent and was plenty, we had a carnivore plank for two as a main course and a Pinsa Romana pizza as a starter. This was enough for two people, if you order it for yourself there is not much room left for the main course. We couldn't eat everything from the carnivore board and they offered us a container (doggy bag) to take the leftover meat with us, which was very kind to offer. Then a dessert and that was also perfect and tasted delicious. We will definitely come back here again for a bite to eat...
