Brasserie Dunnik in Wijk 10 Binnenstad

Ordered a gluten-free sandwich. I repeatedly asked to confirm whether the sandwich, including toppings, was completely gluten-free. When it was served, it came with fried onions. This is generally not gluten-free. After asking and checking again, it turned out the fried onions weren't gluten-free after all. It's a real shame that this isn't taken so seriously. This has led to another loss of confidence in the reliability of gluten-free food in public restaurants.

A beautifully decorated, trendy brasserie in the center of the Hanseatic city of Zwolle. It has a large terrace. The service is friendly and helpful. It's a great place for lunch, dinner, enjoying a good cup of coffee, or simply relaxing on a terrace.

Cozy atmosphere and delicious food! We spontaneously popped in here last week for a quick lunch. The place was almost completely full, except for one table for four. There were only two of us, but luckily that wasn't a problem at all. I saw on the menu that they have their own beers for beer lovers—definitely something to try next time. The lunch menu also offers a nice selection of tasty sandwiches and wraps (which is what I went for). The food was served quickly, tasted delicious, and looked well presented. If we're ever in Zwolle again and fancy a delicious lunch, we'll definitely be back.

Today (Black Friday) we stopped at this lovely, atmospheric brasserie for lunch while shopping in Zwolle. It was quite busy and all the tables were taken. The friendly lady at the entrance let us sit at the bar for a bit, and we got a table in no time. The sandwiches we ordered arrived quickly, despite the crowd. The presentation was beautiful and the taste was excellent—just great! The interior is very atmospheric.

Brasserie Dunnik is a lovely restaurant in the center of Zwolle. The food is excellent, and the service is good and fast. (Even though a dish was initially delivered with cheese instead of without, the error was promptly and efficiently corrected.) The truffle fries are a highly recommended side dish.

Wednesday evening was a quiet one, but perfect for us, as someone with ABI (Non-Abstructive Brain Injury). We'd mentioned this beforehand, but were assigned a table for six near the entrance, right under the loudspeaker. Not an ideal spot. However, once we'd mentioned it, it was no problem to choose another spot, in a room where the music could also be muted, so it was perfectly arranged and a great solution. Of course, this was also possible because it wasn't busy. It's wonderful to see the staff go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. And let's not forget the food: delicious, cozy and atmospheric seating, and friendly staff. Highly recommended, and we'll be back!

Bad, the door was constantly open, drafty, asked for white bread, got brown bread, and then it was supposed to be exchanged, after 15 minutes I checked in and you guessed it, forgot! Then I was served the same, now cold, croquettes. So for us, this was a one-off.

What friendly service!! They're fantastic. The food was also very good, although the fries were a bit late. Otherwise, we were extremely satisfied. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to eat in Zwolle!

The croquettes weren't really hot. The lettuce was old and had some leftover lettuce stalks. The tomatoes and cucumbers were old. While eating, they asked if everything was to their liking. I replied, "Not really to my liking." The service was poor, rushed, and unwilling to listen to what customers said about the bad food. There were several customer complaints that went unheeded and were dismissed. The staff said, "You should report earlier so we can do something, like offer you a cup of coffee." Not recommended; the food wasn't worth the price.

It's a shame there are only four vegetarian lunch options on the menu. Only the tomato soup is vegan... when we told the staff, they didn't offer an option to order something else without the meat. It's out of date. We also watched in astonishment as a manager (?) powdered her hair right next to our table. It was unhygienic and awkward.

My partner and I can be found here on a weekly basis for a nice cup of coffee and a soft drink, or to have lunch. We like to come back for a reason, good friendly and fast service and also affordable. And of course very tasty!

Everything was good despite it being so busy

Received vegetarian burger without mustard and bbq sauce, but I'm not that saucy. Also no bbq sauce with my girlfriend's burger, this was indicated, then we got a container with it. Dessert of 10 euros would consist of a scoop of white chocolate ice cream, a brownie, chocolate mousse and a tuft of whipped cream. The whipped cream was missing, received upon inquiry. The chocolate mousse turned out to be mocha mousse and I don't like coffee. This was indicated. We could have gotten a brownie with it for half the price... Half a brownie was not an option. Bad service, if you put something on the menu you have to deliver, state that it is different or compensate!

Mediocre service, no satisfaction check, no recommendations when ordered dishes overlap. Zucchini soup was inedible due to overpowering pepper and bitter aftertaste. Otherwise a standard menu with reasonable prices.

I can only judge on the service and atmosphere. Staff were friendly and helpful. I asked if they had rolls without sugar. They didn't know this and found out. Even the bread packaging was shown with ingredients listed on it. Unfortunately they didn't have bread without sugar, so we went to another brasserie. The card looked good otherwise. Even though we didn't eat there, we still give it 4 stars.

Had lunch. Ham sandwich was very mediocre. Awkwardly thick ball of bread, some salad and very thin 2 slices of meat, fried. No, it was not a feast. Fries were excellent. Service friendly and smooth.

Very nice tent with a nice, varied menu. However, the management can still learn something. Outside tables were not removed, but after fifteen minutes we had to go inside to ask if we could order something. Saw several tables outside leave because the service hardly ever came outside. A shame, because it could be a very nice terrace. Even on bad days thanks to the awning with heaters. The food was fast and delicious.

Service was excellent, they helped quickly and sandwiches arrived quickly. Nice street to sit on, lots of people walk past so you have something to watch.

Very tasty food, just a pity that it took 40 minutes before we had the first dish. After that everything went smoothly for the rest of the evening and was super tasty. One of the speakers in the back right is defective, so only bass sound could be heard as if there was a bar next to the restaurant. Not terribly disturbing, unless you have something like misophonia. Furthermore, the service is super friendly and helpful. Thanks for a pleasant evening.

The only downside was that the chicken burger was too big for me to eat in one go, so I had to do it in phases, but even then it all tasted very good, sometimes it only tastes good together, but that wasn't the case here. the case. Heerlijke eten bij Brasserie Dunnik Onlangs hebben wij mogen genieten van een fantastisch diner bij Brasserie Dunnik in het hart van Zwolle. Vanaf het moment dat we binnenkwamen, voelden we ons direct welkom door de warme ambiance en het gastvrije personeel. Het menu biedt een mooie balans tussen klassiekers en verrassende gerechten. We kozen voor de spareribs en de biefstukjes, en beide waren werkelijk perfect bereid: mals, smaakvol en voorzien van heerlijke bijgerechten. De porties waren royaal en de presentatie zeer verzorgd. De service verdient ook een speciale vermelding: vriendelijk, professioneel en met oog voor detail. Er werd regelmatig gevraagd of alles naar wens was, zonder dat het opdringerig voelde. Kortom, Brasserie Dunnik biedt een geweldige prijs-kwaliteitverhouding en is een absolute aanrader voor wie houdt van goed eten in een ontspannen setting. Wij komen zeker terug! Evert

Filmmenu besteld. Zonde van mijn geld. We wilden graag een kaart zien, maar die was er niet. De ober zou de kaart wel even opzeggen. Leuke vent met een goed geheugen, maar ik haakte al af toen ik vroeg naar een drankmenu en hij zei dat ik eerst moest zeggen wat ik wilde. (Ehhh…een menukaart?!) Saté leek wel afvalvlees, kraakbeen met aanmaak satésaus. Burger kon alleen vegetarisch. Gevraagd of we tegen meerprijs rundvlees konden krijgen, maar dat kon niet en die vraag hadden ze nog nooit gehad. (Ehhh..?!) . Het dessert is cappuccino. Alleen wat nu als je geen koffie drinkt? Kon met moeite een muntthee af. Akoestiek is vreselijk, je zit zowat bovenop elkaar en verstaat elkaar nauwelijks. Kortom ondanks de gezellige lampjes en de ober die zijn best deed voor ons geen Dunnik meer. En beste lieve ober met horecahart, wij hopen je ergens anders opnieuw tegen te komen!

Went there yesterday, had a delicious meal, the frikandellen received the right treatment, not too greasy, not too big, perfect temperature, delicious.... couldn't be more different than with such a hostess!!!

Came in just before lunch time a while ago and asked if they had a table for two available, which they had. They gave us the option to pick a table inside or outside and we picked inside. Once we sat down and settled in we had to flag down a staff member to ask for two menus and again in order to ask if we could order, instead of being approached to ask what we would like. We ordered the salmon sandwich, the sticky chicken sandwich, a latte macchiato and a mint tea. After ordering it took around 20min for our food to come out and 25min for our drinks. We found it surprising that the food was ready before the drinks to be honest. The food itself tasted nice, nothing too fancy or special. The flavour on the salmon sandwich might have been a bit mild, but nothing to comment on further. We did notice several things which we found mention worthy: -There were three floor staff on that morning and 2 of them (late 20's to mid 30's?) worked extremely hard, were kind- and curtious towards customers and when they saw something hospitality-wise that needed to happen, they picked it up and got it done. The other girl, probably beginning to mid 20's was extremely slow on service, loads of walking from here- and there looking busy but not actually doing anything. Even when she noticed things that could have been picked up like cleaning a table, resetting or even just attending to her customers, she chose to pace back and forth to appear busy. And the ladies toilet doesn't have a hygiene bin so the entire toilet smelled quite badly of used female sanitary products. Not a too pleasant of a smell. I visited this Brasserie many years ago and from then to now they definitely lost their touch a little. Overall it is quite a nice cafe that is aesthetically pleasing and has decent food, yet they are not the same to what we experienced back then. Would recommend visiting though as the place is perfect for people watching for entertainment while eating.

The food was very tasty and plentiful. We had the chicken burger. Unfortunately a bit expensive at €19.50. You can only pay in cash or with domestic credit cards at this restaurant.

Eating here was really great! I had the steak and my friend the spare ribs. Service was great! Super nice service and they regularly check whether everything is still as desired. It was a bit dark where we sat, but if you sit a little longer you get used to it. The Cheesecake is definitely recommended here.

Good food and great service for the price. The double lighting inside (Christmas lights along the wall and regular hanging lamps) is a bit intense. Difficult to understand each other in large groups.

Very cozy place in a nice narrow street. In combination with the warm weather, a nice holiday-like atmosphere was created, as you could also experience in Southern Europe. The food was delicious and the service was very pleasant. Clearly well instructed to upsell and make sure you don't have an empty glass, and I think that's a positive point.

Schnitzel was spoiled,had a terrible sour taste. Went back to the kitchen and opted for spareribs instead of a new schnitzel. No apologies or sorry. The bill was slightly higher because spareribs are more expensive than a schnitzel... here they could have made a difference by saying sorry and simply calculating the price of the schnitzel. No more brasserie dunnik for us. Beer was good by the way!

Samen met men vriend en 3 zoontjes hier super lekker gegeten, top service, heel vriendelijke mensen. Er werd zelfs tijd genomen om een babbeltje te slaan met onze jongste. Zowel wij als de kids waren grote fan!

Eten was lekker, maar we werden zowat de deur uit gekeken. In totaal zijn we nog geen uurtje binnen geweest. De tafel werd al afgeruimd terwijl nog iemand zat te eten!! Ik begrijp dat ze graag naar het voetbal wilden kijken, maar dan hadden ze onze reservering (die we s' morgens gemaakt hadden) niet moeten aannemen.
