Today I got a medium kapsalon at Ekmekci Zwolle. Unfortunately, there was very little chicken in it, and the pieces were small. It felt like I was mainly eating fries with salad. Also, I wasn't asked which sauce I wanted or if I wanted the sauce separately; the sauce was already on top.

Very pleasant staff, especially our server Blesen, who was amazing and very kind. I had the All-In breakfast and the food was exceptional. It included eggs and many delicious sweet and savory options. The bottomless tea was also very good and perfectly completed the meal. Highly recommended!

I was pleased with my visit. The food (Turkish breakfast) was prepared quickly, presented well, and was served in generous portions. The only thing I would improve is the interior design—the ceiling and flooring need replacing. The service was friendly, despite the many complications caused by our larger group.

The restaurant itself was spacious, with plenty of room and easy access. Unfortunately, the biggest issue for us was the cleanliness and overall atmosphere. The ventilation did not seem to work properly, so there was a noticeable smell of cooking oil inside the restaurant, which was quite unpleasant. More concerning was the hygiene: the waiter who took our order had visibly dirty and unkempt fingernails, which gave a very poor impression, especially in a restaurant. The forks on our table also had visible stains on them. There was also a piece of cheese placed directly on the serving tray, without a plate or any kind of dish, next to the other food. Altogether, these details made us feel that hygiene and cleanliness need much more attention here. As for the food, we had the spinach and feta gözleme, which was delicious. We also ordered the All-In Breakfast. The food itself tasted good, but the amount of bread provided was surprisingly small—just a few small pieces of simit and Turkish bread. Since many of the items on the breakfast platter are meant to be eaten with bread, it simply wasn’t enough, and we had to order extra simit. The breakfast included unlimited tea, but unfortunately the quality of the tea was quite poor, so we didn’t even finish the first serving. Overall, the food was enjoyable, especially the gözleme, and the restaurant is spacious and accessible, but the hygiene, ventilation, and some details of the breakfast service definitely need improvement.

I came for breakfast and what I received was extremely tasteless and carelessly prepared. The bagels were like rocks; if I want that kind of breakfast, I want fresh bagels and fresh bread. I don't care that they reheated stale bread. Two cherry tomatoes were thrown in. No cucumber. Except for the gözleme (Turkish flatbread), frankly, the rest was a fiasco. Honestly, I don't know what we paid that much money for. This was my second visit for Turkish breakfast, and I wanted to give it another chance, but unfortunately...

A colleague suggested ordering 3 kapsalons for work. We were really curious, but it was a huge disappointment. There was hardly any doner kebab in it, and it was covered with such a thick layer of cheese that everything was soggy and sticky. All three of us had stomach problems immediately after the break. Not again for us.

Very good falafel, gözleme less special. Nice place to eat something a bit less standard. Nice to try something new.

The food made me sick in a way I threw up everything after a bit. It gave me very uncomfortable feelings as soon as I finished my food.

Unfortunately, our experience fell far short of our expectations. The service is very poor. Customers are treated as if they are dependent on the restaurant. Customer wishes are not listened to properly, and instead of communicating respectfully, the staff simply does whatever they want. There is little attention and involvement with the customer. Moreover, the staff's attitude comes across as arrogant and indifferent. I recommend checking the bill carefully at the cashier. The price does not always match what you ordered. Today, we ordered two separate dishes. When we pointed out at the cashier that the bill was incorrect, we were told that both dishes had been served on one plate. We did not find this explanation convincing and felt that we were not being taken seriously. If you do not check the bill properly, it is possible that extra charges will be added for items you did not order. The food is also not as special as claimed. On your first visit, you are greeted kindly and receive good service. But on a second visit, you notice that the same attention, service, and little extras are missing. It seems as if you only receive truly good service if you know someone who is friends with the restaurant, such as a real estate agent or an entrepreneur. Otherwise, much less attention is paid to both the service and the presentation of the food. In my opinion, all customers should be treated with the same respect, attention, and professionalism.

The quality of the food is good, but they are very stingy with the meat there. It doesn't have to be excessive, but between the generous amount of salad and fries, there was only a small handful of chicken döner. Especially compared to Ekmekci Bataviastad and Dordrecht, the selection in Zwolle is very meager. A shame.

Today I got to try a new sandwich again, having visited on the recommendation of a colleague. The sandwich I had was a Chicken Katjang sandwich; fortunately not the other way around, as Kat Kipjang seems less suitable to me. The sandwich tasted good, although it was on the spicy side. It's probably more my sensitive taste buds than the quality. The guy behind the counter was very friendly, and the decor was what you would expect from a chain.

We arrived around 11:50 and unfortunately, according to a staff member, there was no breakfast. I found it strange, considering I could order on the online app and several other people did receive theirs. Eventually, we left.

Nice-looking place to eat, and the food is delicious too. Lovely people who do their best for the service.

We ordered two cold lemonades, but waited for them for about 30 minutes, after that I went to find out about the readiness, and as it turned out, one of them could not be prepared due to the lack of ingredients, and that is why they did not even start preparing the second lemonade, after that we waited another 15 minutes for the order, the impression is simply terrible. I do not recommend this place

Today, we were going to eat kumpir as a family, so we decided to stop by the bakery. My family was standing outside on the phone and told me I could go inside; they would follow shortly. In the meantime, I used the restroom. Afterward, I noticed a woman and a man behind the counter talking about me. It seemed as if they were waiting for me to come out of the restroom. They acted as if they had caught a “guilty party.” Without even looking at me, the woman said: “You only came for the restroom, right? That’s 2 euros.” Then she turned around and walked away. I replied that, by the way, there was no soap in the restroom. In a mocking tone, she then said: “Okay, then we’ll make it 1 euro.” When I explained that my family was supposed to be here and that I hadn’t seen them yet, I got the feeling they thought I was only saying this to avoid paying that 1 euro. They even said: “But they aren’t here; no one has come.” Of course, I just paid and left. But I will never come back here again. While we used to come here regularly as a family to eat kumpir, it is now definitely over for us, never again! Very unfriendly and disrespectful treatment !!!

Zwolle's best restaurant, my favorite place, communication with customers is great, the food is exceptionally good, in short, I recommend you try it.

I had a very bad experience. We asked for breakfast, but they said they only had sausage and eggs. The bread was very bad, with only 4 pieces of sausage in it. No tea or coffee came. We left halfway through and went somewhere else. It was a disgrace.

A friendly and welcoming hostess explained the delicious dishes on the menu and explained that they make a lot of it fresh themselves, which you can taste! Something for everyone. We had such a wonderful meal here! It was almost closing time, and the place was empty except for us. But the service was excellent. I ordered a Turkish coffee afterward and was given a choice of how much sugar I wanted. They even explained in detail how it's made, because I didn't know. We had the gözleme, and it's amazing! You can always choose from several varieties, and everything is homemade ✨️
