Brasserie La Colline in Centrum

We just went to get coffee at 15:00 on October 22nd. We've been waiting for over 25 minutes, the order was taken, but no one came. FOOD IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING HERE, DRINK ORDER HAS TO WAIT. THEY DELIVERED LESS. There were 5 people behind and in front of the bar. Now we asked the staff where the order was. It was just so busy. There were 5 people standing around the bar and they were asking for 2 cups of coffee, by the way. We're not ordering food here anymore. See the full review. Okay, we arrived at 14:15. After three apologies, the people around us finally got served earlier. We left at 15:05 without coffee. Unbelievable. Personally, I think the presentation—3 carrots and a piece of meat for almost 40 euros—was rather poor. The meat could also be served hotter rather than colder. Check the photos, the presentation of the van der Valk. Roosenval potatoes, fries, a small bowl of carrots, oven-baked tomatoes... And we had to ask extra for the fries, a shamefully small bowl for the two of us. Also, check the price difference. The answer to my review... Oh well... if anyone has anything to complain about... We've never experienced being criticized like this because, in the eyes of our guests, things apparently didn't go well. We came here for the second time on Saturday, November 22nd. The first time was for dinner. The meal was a piece of steak with three carrots. You had to order fries separately. Almost 40 euros. Last Saturday, we came in. We received a warm welcome, probably from the owner. After waiting for over 45 minutes and asking three times where our order was, we got up thirsty and left. The staff came to our table three times to tell us it would be right back. There were plenty of staff milling around, standing around the bar. We only had two cups of coffee. People around us who were also eating were clearly given priority. We tried, but unfortunately, we won't be back for a third time. It's quite disappointing when you can't even bring us two cups of coffee after asking three times.

Update: Following this review, I contacted the owner by phone. I think that was really nice. We discussed the complaint and it's being addressed internally. It was resolved very efficiently. You rarely see this! Very nice. Based on the good reviews, we reserved a table at La Colline. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed. It took a very long time to be helped. The staff didn't seem very interested. After our appetizer, it took an incredibly long time to get our main course. My truffle pasta was lukewarm, the pasta hard, and the sauce very watery/wet. We did raise this issue at the bar, but there was little response. So, unfortunately for us, it was a one-off.

Returned the steaks because they were raw (ordered medium). They got them back, still raw. Upon checkout, we were asked how they were, told we weren't good, and that we wouldn't be returning. The response: that's €95. A bit of a shame... I expected much more because the reviews were so good. Addition: I've since spoken to the owner, and it was a pleasant conversation. It's not about the problem, but about the solution. Thank you!

The perfect spot in Oss for a delicious lunch on the sunny terrace. La Colline has never disappointed me, and last Monday I left satisfied again. This time we ordered a Baguette Carpaccio and a Brioche Omelet with salmon and hollandaise sauce. Delicious! Large portions for a great price, fast service, and a cozy atmosphere.

No Erdinger wheat beer, just a wheat beer in a can. I'll drink that at home, and I certainly wouldn't expect it in a place like La Colline. I'm very disappointed. No more La Colline for me for the time being.

Very nice service and atmosphere. The staff reacts quickly and is very friendly. The food is not good, the escalope was uninteresting. The fries are even worse. Regarding the tomato and burata tartare, I think I had 1 tasteless tomato and I'm sure I had 1/2 burata. Too bad... I didn't even taste the olive oil. There was too much parsley. As if to add flavor. But since it wasn't fresh, it wasn't very good. The lungo coffee was not good.

Op het terras buiten geluncht. Lekker in de zon. Ik had de carpaccio clubsandwich. Lekker geluncht met goede koffie! Eerder al een keer binnen gegeten met theatermenu. Dat was ook goed!

Vanavond op het terras gaan zitten ivm aanvang van mijn vakantie. Helaas na 20 minuten werd ik nog steeds niet gezien. Ook mijn tafel werd niet afgeruimd. De tafel langs mij wel. Maar weer gegaan. Terwijl maar 4 tafels bezet waren hadden ze geen tijd voor mij.

The food is good, but not exceptional. The service is very variable. There were 2 ladies who were friendly, but also a boy who put the food on the table uninterested. If you are not friendly and interested, you should not serve in my opinion. The price/quality ratio is unfortunately not right.

SUPER RUDE SERVICE We went on a Sunday around 10:00 PM (they closed at midnight) and were served in a terrible way. A dark-haired girl was incredibly rude, making faces every time we asked for something. The food was really good, but I won't be returning because of this service.

We were with the whole family, including our child, and we were absolutely impressed! Dinner was amazing – everything was incredibly tasty, prepared with care and full of flavour. The service was excellent: friendly, attentive and professional staff. The restaurant itself is beautiful, clean and attractive. A perfect place for a family dinner or a special occasion. We will definitely come back❤️

Met de voorgerechten begon het goed, maar het niveau van de hoofdgerechten was zeer matig, de coquilles mogen de naam niet hebben, en de friet was overbakken en zeer hard, apart dat een kok dit niet ziet en gewoon laat uitserveren, met klachten wordt verder niets gedaan, dit was het geld niet waard en is zeker niet voor herhaling vatbaar.

Cozy heated terrace, neat water bowl for the dog. Too bad there is a lot of smoking. Food and drinks were ok.

After 2 hours and 45 minutes still no dessert

Hot tea on my girlfriend's bare legs thrown away and received no compensation. Not really neat.

It has become less after the renovation .We had to pay €85.00 for 2 people. Was disproportionate to what we got. We have eaten there many times but are now looking for something else. Unfortunately.

Went for a high tea last Wednesday and enjoyed it, there were a few points for improvement, namely the scones not only include jam but also clotted cream and the American pancakes could better be replaced by chocolates. We give the whole a more than satisfactory rating. and if things change a bit, we will definitely come again for high tea.

What poor service. It takes half an hour before you are helped. Then you can wait another 15 minutes for your drink. And then they don't come anymore. Unbelievable. It's like they don't want to have guests.

A pleasant restaurant with delicious food. I strongly recommend risotto, the products were fresh and it was noticeable. In my opinion, the service was also doing well, they were friendly and in most cases fast. Definitely recommend this place.

We had dinner there and received a real child's portion of fries, when we immediately ordered more fries, they said that this was done to prevent food waste, when all our meat and fish was gone, they brought fries. Not recommended

Today we used the C'est la vie menu. Delicious dishes, friendly service.

Er was afgelopen zondag genoeg plek op het terras. We hebben een plekje uitgezocht, er liep genoeg bediening incl. een leidinggevende. Helaas waren ze meer in zich zelf geïnteresseerd dan in gasten, een cursus gastvrijheid kan men hier wel gebruiken. Na 10 minuten opgestaan en vertrokken…. Voorlopig zien ze ons niet meer .

One of the worst terrace experiences ever. We strongly advise against this place if you are thirsty or hungry. Having to seek the attention of the service again and again because they simply don't see it. After more than 1 hour of waiting, I was presented with the La Colline snack board. After this we were still hungry and we both ordered a main course. It takes a lot of patience, but after more than an hour of waiting, our patience was also gone. When asked where our main course was, we quickly received the response: "oh there is nothing on your bill". That was the last straw for us, after more than 3 hours, to leave. And that bill? Unfortunately, that was not correct either, so we had to correct it ourselves. All in all, it's a shame to end our weekend in Oss this way. TIP: Go to the New World (I think it's the same owner). We had a delicious meal here on our first evening! And the service was TOP!

Nice bar in the center of Oss, the waitresses are smiling and responsive, the organization here and really enough staff so as not to wait too long despite the crowds. On the other hand, the food is really not good for a small aperitif dish at 15th, the quality of the products really needs to be reviewed.. and also the price

Sat alone on the terrace. Prompt and friendly service for a cup of coffee with artisanal apple point (recommended!).

The food itself was tasty, but 18 euros for a salad is really too much as far as I'm concerned. And when you look what it was: some mixed lettuce with a few beans and 4 strips of salmon sashimi and a lot of red onion. The dressing was very tasty by the way. But again, price-quality is absolutely in proportion.

Beer way too expensive, you asked €4.00. That is at least 80 cents too much with comparable terraces.

We ate a delicious adapted Caesar salad (low in carbohydrates), no effort was spared.

Bad operation. Educate your staff!! Blunt, clumsy, not hospitable. Very tough bavette full of sinews!! Response: "a bavette must be firm", go to the butcher and ask what a bavette is and what it should taste like!! Asked for medium, got rare!! Discussion. In short, a disappointment!! The people who ate a hamburger were satisfied.

The croque madam was very simple. A dry sandwich with a fried egg and a bowl of sauce. The onion soup came in a super small container and contained more croutons than onions.

High tea met vrienden. Een aantal dames in de bediening had weinig zin om te werken. We werden boos/geïrriteerd aangekeken toen we om een nieuwe pot heet water vroegen. Dit hebben we een aantal keer moeten doen want het werd niet door de bediening bijgevuld. We moesten zelf om nieuwe thee zakjes vragen. De dame die ons de etageres kwam brengen met het eten wist niet wat er op de schalen lag. Het eten was lekker maar het personeel laat te wensen over.

Service took a long time to get to your table, despite trying to contact you. They were mostly busy with each other. It was not busy with customers and there were plenty of staff. Customers had to choose their own table when they came in. Also something strange; while eating, or waiting for it, the prices on the mirrors had to be adjusted due to the sugar tax. 1 foot on the table, where people later went to eat, and while they hung over a customer who was eating, they cleaned and wrote. Fortunately, new staff came in and we were helped quickly; Timed 27 minutes after our arrival we ordered a drink. And later, of course, food. Carpaccio with truffle mayonnaise was good, but I don't understand raw onion. Meat was good, fries were just fried really hard. Dessert was bastogne parfait with white chocolate ice cream; guess what white chocolate ice cream was gone. We came to celebrate that we met at La Colline 10 years ago. We don't often go out to eat just to celebrate, so this should have been something special. But unfortunately this wasn't it. La Colline is really not what it used to be unfortunately.

It is one of the few places that is open early for coffee in the city centre of Oss. We had our cappuccinos and ginger tea and later at 1030 am ordered our breakfast. The host was most attentive, the service was good, the place was clean, and the interior was tastefully decorated. I would definitely visit again.

Today we sat at Lacoline, drinking lukewarm wine and beer while we had Heineken, which is a pity.
