Brasserie Miggelenberg in Hoenderloo en omgeving

We were staying at Landal Miggelenberg and had left for Ouwehands Zoo early. Around 4:00 PM, the seven of us—grandpa, grandma, dad, mom, and three grandchildren—started thinking about where to eat. We had already been to a pancake restaurant, and to be honest, we had the preconception that food at a holiday park is often a bit disappointing. But after a whole day of walking, it is of course very pleasant to be able to eat close to your accommodation. From the zoo, we reserved a table online at MGB de Brasserie. Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly and politely escorted to our table. Despite the outside temperature of around 30 degrees, it was wonderfully cool inside. With children aged 8 and 10, making a choice usually takes a while, but that was cleverly resolved here. They were allowed to put together their own meal at the Bollo Buffet and were eager to go there. First, we had to wait a little while until we had finished our bread platter. For my daughter, who has multiple food allergies, it was a bit more complicated. The kitchen took plenty of time to think along with us, and together we arrived at a suitable order. That gave us a lot of confidence. We ordered fish & chips twice (one of which was specially adapted), chicken satay, and for me, the Black Angus beef brisket with onion compote, red wine sauce, and sweet potato. What struck us most was the incredibly friendly and cheerful service. Everyone worked with visible pleasure, and nothing was too much trouble. One small thing went wrong: there was a slice of lemon on the adapted fish & chips after all, even though my daughter is also allergic to fruit. Precisely because the kitchen had thought along so carefully, we almost felt bad about taking it back. But the response was very professional. The waitress was shocked herself, because she was so happy that everything seemed to be arranged well. Within a short time, a new, perfectly adapted plate was on the table. Mistakes can happen anywhere. It is precisely the way they are handled that makes the difference, and that was excellent here. And then the food… My Black Angus beef brisket was truly fantastic. Buttery tender, full of flavor, and without a doubt one of the tastiest dishes I have eaten recently. The rest of the party was also very enthusiastic about the food. For the children, the Bollo Buffet was a hit. They loved being able to choose from all sorts of individual items on a kids' menu. They entertained themselves wonderfully, and as a result, we were able to relax and enjoy the meal ourselves. In short: a huge positive surprise. Friendly service, a kitchen that takes allergies seriously, delicious food, and a great concept for children. We will happily return here next time. It just goes to show that preconceptions aren't always true.

Far too small portion for the main price

Friendly staff and good service. I found a man with gray and white hair friendly. He had especially found a nice, quiet spot for me and my parents to eat, at our request. I don't know his name, but I like him. The brasserie is cozy and they have delicious cocktails. In the photo, you can see where we sat when we dined there. We were talking about it again recently, because you usually don't get such a quiet spot when you ask for one. Thanks again! It's one of the special moments we experienced during our vacation!

During our stay at the park, we had a delicious dinner here one evening. Large portions and good food for a reasonable price. The service was enthusiastic and attentive.

It's a beautiful park, with spacious and comfortable cottages. The food at the brasserie is good, and the service even better. Kim was fantastic and proactive in helping our large group with complex dietary requirements. We'd love to come back!

Too bad that the brasserie is closed on Wednesdays during the season.

No opinion on the quality of the food. Due to the high prices, we decided not to try it. The plates they served looked plain. They were certainly tasty, but I don't think they match the prices. Fortunately, there are plenty of options in the area.

2025. Had lunch today at Landal Miggelenberg. A tip: don't order a grilled cheese sandwich, I repeat, don't order a grilled cheese sandwich. You get a warmed-up white bread sandwich with a little cheese and ham in between. Not crispy, but warm and soft, so definitely not a grilled cheese sandwich. And all that for €8.50, outrageous. 2022. Had a good meal, not exactly cheap, but delicious.

The food was decent, but the portion size for the mixed grill was tiny, and it took an awfully long time for the food to be cleared. In addition (as you might expect at a holiday park), there was a disturbance from children, and even more annoying: a tiny dog ​​the size of a Great Dane.

Gezellig restaurant. Aardige bediening. Fijn dat onze kleine hond meemocht. Er werd direct bij de reservering gevraagd of we de hond mee wilden nemen. Het voorgerecht ( carpaccio) was heerlijk! Hoofdgerecht prima. Alleen met de opmerking dat de sla bij mijn salade veel te veel was. Heb ik ook doorgegeven. Misschien meer andere ingrediënten toevoegen. De gamba salade was te simpel.

We thought the price was high for what we got. Meat was not warm enough, vegetables very sparse. Poffertjes for grandchild were hard and chewy, unfortunately we only got the new ones when everyone had already finished eating. The design of the brasserie is attractive.

Vorige week gereserveerd, bij aankomst een tafeltje in een nisje van het restaurant, daar werden we weer uitgejaagd omdat het al gereserveerd was, manager totaal geen compassie, je kunt wel reserveren maar dat is eigenlijk onnodig, uiteindelijk kregen we een plaatsje bij het raam!!!! ik kom al meer dan 20 jaar in Miggelenberg maar dit was waardeloos, jammer

Despite the crowds (it was full on a Sunday evening), we were served very friendly and quickly. We were asked regularly, but certainly not in a pushy manner, whether everything was satisfactory. Our chosen meals of salmon and chicken thigh were really delicious! Fries, apples and mayonnaise were served separately and could also be ordered free of charge if necessary. The children's buffet was also excellent in terms of price. Maybe a bit basic, but certainly everything that children like (fries, chicken nugget, mini frikandel, sausage, applesauce, poffertjes, soup vegetables, etc.) and for dessert you can make your own ice cream! We had a nice evening as a family.

You can eat well there, we have been there 3 times this year in different periods but the same menu every time and that is a shame. You also get bread with various sauces as your starter. This is a real disappointment, you just get 3 or 4 slices of bread in a bag instead of baguette, really a letdown, when you eat the bread you are already full. We fed it to the ducks at the park. Hope you will join in, because the last few times we went to eat outside the park

After a disappointing experience on the terrace of the Proeftuin, we drove on to De Brasserie at this park. Fortunately, because everything we missed a moment before was fully made up for here. Nice terrace with a nice view, enough space (nice also a non-smoking area, but we saw that too late so we ended up in the smoke, our own fault). Here too you can order with QR, but a friendly gentleman was at the table twice to take our order. Very nice drinks boards on the menu and decent prices! While playing football, our son had an unfortunate fall on his wrist and we asked for some ice and a special (medical) ice pack was very nicely provided. Top!

Ontvangst was erg vriendelijk maar eten onder de maat. Krokante schnitzel komt echt uit het frituurvet. Veel te hard. Bijna niet doorheen te komen. Groente bij vegetarisch gerecht was niet gaar. Geen compensatie, ik zal het melden aan de keuken. Keuken een stukje verder op had andere gerechten en ook zij waren zeer ontevreden. Hoofdgerechten zonder frites geleverd. Gerechten bijna op en toen kwam de frites. Natuurlijk kan je bijbestellen van de appelcompote en frites maar wat je kreeg voor vier personen eet een goede eter alleen op.

Nice terrace. But something went wrong. The cod and salmon were served cold. These went back to the kitchen. Then the same fish came back. This time it was warm, but it was clear that it was the same. Operation had also been able to deal with this better by offering a free drink.

Vriendelijke bediening. De salade was ruim voldoende, de steak eerder aan de kleine kant maar wel lekker. Voor de kinderen is het bollo buffet een aanrader, niet enorm veel keuze maar ze vinden er zeker iets dat ze lusten en het wordt goed aangevuld. Ook fijn is dat de kinderen ondertussen op de speeltuin kunnen.

Friendly service. The salad was more than sufficient, the steak was on the small side but tasty. The bollo buffet is highly recommended for the children, not a huge selection but they will certainly find something they like and it is well stocked. It is also nice that the children can go to the playground in the meantime.

We went for a walk and then had a bite to eat. Unfortunately, everything went wrong. We had ordered extra tomato soup via the website, a lady very politely asked if that was really correct, because we already had a different tomato soup. We indicated that it was so, and I asked if it could be changed to a children's portion, which was possible. Almost 20 minutes later there was still no tomato soup, so I asked a colleague where our order was. The lady arrived, quite quickly, with a bowl of tomato soup, but a normal portion. So I indicated that we had changed the order, to which she responded with, I would be happy that you have any food at all. I didn't answer this, let it go! Then the bill came, which was not correct at all, confirmation was done twice, but the bill was still not in order. We eventually resolved it, but it all could have been much smoother and the lady could have been a little friendlier. We had 4 different ladies who were going to take orders, but it was missing to agree on who would serve which table? Environment is great, employees outside were super friendly. The children had a lot of fun. The swings instead of chairs, great idea.

Delicious food, nice service. Good menu, not too much, but various choices, including vegetarian.

Had lunch and dinner here with the children. We were very disappointed with the food for lunch. The children's poffertjes were really not tasty, dry and strong, it seems as if the wrong dough was used. The onion soup was broth with fried onion in it and dry bread on the side. There was also a large piece of peel in it. The Caesar salad is ok, but expensive for what you get. Again with dry bread. Too bad because the outside location is nice and the service was friendly and fast. It was better at dinner. There was a terrible smell of frikandels inside because of the children's buffet, but the veggie cheeseburger and the fish of the day tasted great. A nice extra was the delicious compote and the special mayo with the garnishes.

zondag 19 mei met 7 personen gegeten,4 volwassen en 3 ( grote) kinderen. En we hebben heerlijk gegeten! We hadden verschillende biefstukken die allemaal gebakken zoals we het bestelden! En visprutje. Gratis frites bij te bestellen en dat hebben we ook gedaan. Geen ervaring met voorgerechten. Wel 3 desserts en koffie en dat was allemaal goed! complimenten voor het leuke personeel,allemaal aardig en snel!!

Gisteren gedineerd. In het algemeen viel het tegen. Je krijgt gewoon niet wat je besteld. Wij hadden ovenvers brood besteld met verschillende dips en kregen doorgesneden boterhammen. Bij het hoofdgerecht “Kabeljauw uit de oven” ontbrak de kruidencrumble en bij navraag bij de bediening werd ook ontkent dat dit er bij zou moeten zitten. Het staat echter wel zo op het menu. De “Geroosterde Kippendij” waren twee stukken met bot en de gebakken uien waren kant en klaar uitjes uit een zakje. Kortom; dit is geen brasserie maar een slecht snackbar.

We have already seen quite a few Landal parks. But the Miggelenberg still has that little bit more coziness. Especially the height differences where the houses are located. Friendly staff and very helpful. Only when it comes to the cleaning of the houses, that could certainly be much better. We have been there twice now and the cleaning was bad twice. And we're bummed about that, we passed it on to the reception. But otherwise a nice and quiet park. Very suitable for children.

Snackbar side of the Brasserie: The quality of the food was just great. Huge plastic reduction by using paper almost everywhere. The salad that you can choose with your menu, was so unexpectedly great! Special shout out to the woman behind the counter, you were so sweet, caring and making sure everything was up to your quality standards. Well done!

Had a great meal with my kids. Really tasty and dirt cheap.

It was striking that the dishes were served almost cold. We sent back the onion soup in particular. Main courses were lukewarm but edible.

It's such a wonderful spot next to the Veluwe. Good service, very standaard Dutch menu, so food is okay. Gigantic buiten speeltuin and nice inside playground. Overall having in mind this is a place for families with kids, I give it a 4.5

Eten was bar slecht: carpaccio je moest de dressing zoeken! De steak zat vol met spiertjes na de helft al te hebben weggegooid maar gestopt met eten. Klacht doorgeven. In eerste instantie geen antwoord. Bij navraag bleek het doorgegeven? Er kon een nieuwe steak gemaakt worden. Ja, lastig als je tafelgenoten al zijn uitgegeten en de tafel was afgeruimd. Het dessert laten schieten.Een verontschuldiging en de rekening. Het verblijf is prima bij Landal maar van hun keuken gaan wij nooit meer genieten.

Food was terrible: carpaccio you had to look for the dressing! The steak was full of muscles after having already thrown away half but stopped eating. Submit a complaint. No answer at first. Upon inquiry it turned out that it had been passed on? A new steak could be made. Yes, difficult if your table companions have already finished eating and the table has been cleared. Skip dessert. An apology and the bill. The stay at Landal is fine, but we will never enjoy their cuisine again.

Banken zijn wel aan vervanging toe.

Heerlijk gegeten. Was sceptisch over een park restaurant. Maar positief verrast. Verse groenten, vegetarisch is bijna standaard. Fijne wildkaart erg veel streek producten. Top staff en bediening, we hadden een huisje aan het einde van het park en de manager wilde zelfs oma, die slecht ter been is, naar het huisje brengen. Uiteindelijk was het niet nodig. Maar toch uiterst vriendelijk.

Leuke inrichting en gezellige sfeer. Soms wat druk/lawaai maar het dan ook een familiepark. Eten is meer dan prima en gezellig/vrolijk personeel.

Diner op zaterdagavond. Het eten was goed. Buffet voor de kleintjes heel leuk. De service was goed.

Op zich prima gegeten. De biefstuk was goed, de vegetarische curry smaakvol, wat rijst of naanbrood erbij, ipv de vette papadum zou lekker zijn. Het hoofdgerecht werd echter zo snel geserveerd dat we nauwelijks van het brood en de dips hebben kunnen genieten. Onze opmerking daarover werd gehoord, maar niet gecompenseerd. Maar heb je haast, dan kun je daar snel eten ;-).

This place has some really nice fries, a good burger and some crunchy snacks… and the portions are pretty large. Service is good and fast. Even when it is very busy, the staff does not panic and they make sure you do not have to wait too long. I did not expect this on a bungalow park.

Prima eetgelegenheid op het park, niet heel bijzonder maar gewoon goed. Ik moet wel even een complimentje geven aan de bediening die ons ondanks dat we erg laat waren toch nog ontvingen in het restaurant en echt de moeite hebben genomen om nog voor de kinderen wat eten te maken omdat het standaard kinderbuffet eigenlijk al een beetje op was en er te lang lag. Ze hebben echt bergen eten gekregen van de bediening vers bereid dus dat waardeerde we enorm.

Een fijn, groot terras. Helaas is er veel te weinig personeel voor de bediening waardoor de mensen die er wel zijn niet iedereen kunnen bedienen. Een aantal mensen in de bediening zijn onwijs vriendelijk en doen echt hun best. Op het terras is het het meest handig om even naar binnen te lopen om te bestellen (of via QR code bestellen als die op tafel staat). Drinken smaakt altijd goed. De vegetarische borrelplank bleek een stuk groter dan we hadden verwacht. Wauw! Wat een plank! Veel lekkere hapjes. Daar kun je lang van genieten.

Bediening zou iets vrolijker mogen.

Prima plek om te eten. Mooi uitzicht en je kan de kinderen kwijt in de speeltuin.

Wij kwamen binnen met 11 personen en vroegen of we buiten mochten zitten waarop de serveerster tegen haar collega zei "het houdt een keer op".... sta je dan met 11 betalende gasten. Waren best verslagen. Vervolgens was niemand van de bediening bereidt om even mee te denken hoe er 11 plekken geregeld konden worden. Over en weer rollende ogen onder de bediening. Eten stond op tafel zonder bestek. Ook weer gezucht Kinderbuffet, heel leuk maar alleen chocolade ijs. Bij navraag of er ook gewoon vanille ijs was bleek dit een discussie waard.... niet alle kids lusten chocoijs. Wees een beetje flexibel beste bediening! Plek is prachtig en eten lekker. Nu de bediening nog beetje gastvrij en flexibel zonder rollende ogen en gezucht en gesmoes dan is het top!

Eten was goed en lekker, maar de bediening laat te wensen over. Sommigen van de bediening spraken geen Nederlands of Engels en begrepen vaak niet wat je bedoelde. Dit was jammer.

Prima brasserie/restaurant wat bij Landal Miggelenberg hoort. Landal Miggelenberg is ons favoriete Landal park. Het restaurant is gewoon prima voor zo'n park. Het blinkt wel de ene keer meer uit dan de andere keer. Soms is de kwaliteit echt fantastisch en de andere keer valt het erg tegen. Als je dat aangeeft kunnen ze er in iedergeval wat aan veranderen. Wat wel echt smerig is en dus een flink nadeel is, is dat er mensen binnenkomen met honden. Wij zijn ook dierenvrienden, maar honden horen gewoon niet thuis in welk restaurant dan ook. Het is gewoon onhygiënisch en het stonk door het hele restaurant naar (natte)hond, omdat er 3 tafels waren met een hond. Niet prettig! 4 sterren voor het dineren dat zeker. Maar in totaal 1 punt minder hierdoor.

Eten was niet wow. Maar de bediening was wel heel vriendelijk.

Heerlijk gegeten, gezellige sfeer. Vriendelijk personeel en een ruime kaart: hoop vegetarische opties!

Leuk dat kleine kinderen konden kleuren. Minder was dat onze tafel plakte, niet goed afgenomen? Positief dat kinderen tot 4 jaar hun eigen gratis buffet hadden. Kwaliteit was goed.

Vanmiddag doorgebracht in de Brasserie. Erg leuke en gezellige locatie met attent en vriendelijk personeel. De borrelplank was heerlijk. Onverwachts mooie omgeving.

Mooi terras in de zon, goede plek voor een drankje na een wandeling.

Gezellig en vriendelijke mensen. leuke sfeer en goed eten.

Maandag 24 en dinsdag 25 april hier gegeten, prima kwaliteit/prijs verhouding. Vriendelijke en snelle bediening, zeker een aanrader.

Gezellig buitenterras. In de fraaie natuur met uitzicht op de speeltuin. Toen wij er waren was het zonnetje ook van de partij . Je kunt ook altijd binnen terecht.

Jaren eerder eens minder goed gegeten. Dit hebben ze nu weer ruim goed gemaakt. Lekker eten en vriendelijke bediening.
