On a sunny day, we had a nice glass of wine and a bitterball on the terrace. Beautiful location!

It started off very slowly, 45 minutes before we got our first drink. The staff were all on break. After that, it went a lot better. The high wine was good.

Had a delicious meal. Enjoyed the drinks. The steak tartare was an interesting model kit. Burger and ice cream were fine. Would love to come again.

I had lunch here today and sat outside. I was served fairly quickly by a girl who, in my opinion, wasn't very enthusiastic. The lunch was decent, although I didn't get any cutlery or a napkin. I also had to ask for the sauce. The atmosphere was very mediocre. So no, I won't be coming back.

We really enjoyed ourselves at Martins! The food and wine were delicious. On the recommendation of hostess Minke, we chose the tuna carpaccio on filo pastry as a starter, which was indeed amazing: highly recommended! The tagliata with spaghetti was fine, the accompanying wine delicious, and the dessert fantastic. Great atmosphere with friendly and welcoming service. We will definitely be back!

Rude and downright snapping behavior from the waitress. We were given a table without a reservation. We ordered water and wine and asked for the menu. To our surprise, the waitress responded with: “Are you in a hurry or something?” When we didn't have a good answer to that, she added: “I would have given you the menu later anyway.” When we wanted to order food, she sent a colleague. We indicated that the wine had not arrived yet; she said she would check with the waitress. However, the wine did not come. When we asked the first waitress about the wine again later, she shrugged and said: “I have no idea,” after which she turned around and walked away. Unbelievable behavior; we left immediately. A colleague asked what had happened and was visibly shocked by the incident and offered an apology. However, she had done nothing wrong, but this waitress was the most unprofessional and unfriendly hospitality employee we have ever encountered.

We had reserved via Social Deal but unfortunately could only make a reservation at 5:00 PM and were also given an end time, which doesn't really put you at ease. Unfortunately, the deal is severely stripped down. All kinds of extra costs are added. Of course, the drinks, but also the side dishes (fries, salad). We couldn't get tap water alongside the bottle of wine we ordered, but had to order bottled spring water. If you don't have dessert, which is included in the deal, but order coffee instead, this cannot be done instead but is added to the bill as well. The carpaccio was very meager and had a lot of seeds on it. The deal looks nice, but take into account all the extra costs and the small portions. The quality of the food and the atmosphere are very good.

Although I know Martins as a very nice and cozy place, last weekend we had to wait over 1 hour and 45 minutes for a baguette and a flamkuchen. About an hour after that, we actually received the charcuterie board for our high wine, and in 3.5 hours, they asked three times what we wanted to drink. The place was busy, but that shouldn't be an excuse for such long wait times…

The acoustics are very bad, very noisy. I had flamkuchen with gorgonzola as a starter, but it was nowhere to be found. Unfortunately, I didn't taste any gorgonzola. For the main course, I had the bavette with arugula. The meat was very tasty. It was served in a deep plate with far too much arugula. It would have been better to call it a salad. All in all, really not worth the money, unfortunately.

We had made a reservation through Social Deal and were told to arrive no later than 5:00 PM. We were clearly told we had to leave by 7:00 PM. The starter arrived quickly, but after that, things went completely wrong. We waited an hour and a half for the main course. We were repeatedly told it would arrive "any minute," which was incorrect. Because it was taking so long, we ordered dessert in advance, but 20 minutes later we were asked again if we wanted to order dessert. At 6:50 PM, we asked if we could take dessert to go. We received an unfriendly and snappy response, saying it was busy and we should be understanding. No apology, just a discussion. The checkout process was also unfriendly and without a receipt. Conclusion: extremely long wait times, poor communication, and unfriendly staff during busy times. Not a pleasant experience for us.

We're locals, but today the service was really bad. The grumpy ladies walked past our table three times, making us feel invisible. A candle was tossed onto the table. A real disappointment for this lovely place.

A good brasserie with excellent food and service. Only when it's very busy can it be difficult to hear your conversation partners. The tables are very close together. I didn't like the acoustics.

What a lovely little place! The price-quality ratio is excellent! The staff is friendly, attentive, and relaxed, which creates a great atmosphere. The food was truly fantastic; I've never had such delicious tuna carpaccio/pizza. That dish is light, tasty, and all the flavors are perfectly balanced. The chicken club was incredibly generous and delicious! If you're in Apeldoorn, stop by for a delicious lunch!

It was busy and very noisy on a Friday evening. It was pleasant in itself, but towards the end, my table companion was almost impossible to understand. The food was tasty but not very special. There was a lot of it, though, and it was also quite pricey.

The wine was fine, the meat was good – but the whole thing felt very simple and incredibly uninspired for a night out. A shame, because with a little more attention to presentation and side dishes, this could have been a completely different experience, especially for the price. Last weekend, we spontaneously walked out onto the terrace to see if there was a spot available. There was, and we were seated in the back garden. We had a bit of a rough start due to miscommunication between the staff and a slow start, but after that, we were helped promptly. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with the food. The restaurant and terrace have a lovely atmosphere, but this wasn't reflected in the plate at all. We chose carpaccio and steak tartare as starters. The carpaccio looked a bit discolored, and the steak tartare turned out to be a kind of "do-it-yourself" plate: all the ingredients were served separately, even the anchovies had to be mashed up yourself. For our main course, we had the steak with gravy, bread, and fries. The meat was of good quality and deliciously prepared, but the presentation was disappointing: a plate full of gravy with the meat in the middle, two slices of white cheese on an uninspired plate next to it, a bowl of French fries, and the mayonnaise in a simple cardboard container with a dried-out edge. No garnish or accompanying vegetable dish, while a bowl of gravy, a small sprig of alfalfa, some cherry tomatoes, or perhaps green beans wrapped in bacon would have made the whole thing so much more appealing.

The food is fine, but €20 is a lot of money for a (in my opinion) simple hamburger. They could have had some fries or salad on the side. My wife ordered brown bread and got white, while I got brown. Saying the staff makes you feel welcome and comfortable isn't an accurate statement. The atmosphere is nice, but now it's time for hospitality and a closer look at the prices.

Thankfully, it's not a dime a dozen like so many in Apeldoorn! A charming, friendly, French atmosphere subtly reflected in everything. A lovely green terrace with a Mediterranean feel. Exceptionally friendly service and delicious food! Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates the above!

Simple menu, food quality isn't great. It's a cozy place, and the service is friendly. The acoustics are poor; it's very noisy, so you have to speak loudly.

Ordered through a social deal. Ultimately, I spent a lot of money on four expensive wines. They didn't mention what was and wasn't included in the deal, so they immediately gave me a small sandwich with two spreads for almost €9 for four slices! The staff was distant and disinterested. It's a shame, the food was good.

Are anyone else feeling unwell after their dinner at Martin's on July 9th? I think I got food poisoning. I had both steak tartare (with a raw egg) and tuna steak, and I had symptoms the next morning. Are other customers experiencing this?

A cozy spot in the center of Apeldoorn where the food is good in taste and quality. The staff is friendly. You can sit here on the terrace and 'people watch' while enjoying a snack and a drink.

The high tea consisted of 3 small sandwiches, the remaining 90% was filled with sweets. For us this division was really too sweet, we would have liked to have had something warm and savory. In addition, the snacks were only served after about 40 minutes after we arrived (we had made a reservation)

Always good and cozy. 2 great terraces. One at the front and the courtyard at the back. Service is top. Food, wines etc. delicious. Martins cappuccino is recommended, delicious with whipped cream. Enjoy every time

The food was above average and price/quality was excellent. Very tasty and wide selection of wines. The time between dishes and drinks was also perfect, despite it being busy. Good ratio for attention to the guest! Personally, I think some flexibility if you want a smaller cheese board is a plus. It is also a shame that it took more than half an hour between giving the bill and paying, if the rest of the clerk's service was really 'top notch'. Small points, but still thoroughly enjoyed it for 5 stars. See you soon!

Wide choice of wine and beer. Average prices for food and drinks. I had beef carpaccio and then the bavette. Both well flavored and perfectly prepared. They have high and low tables. Please consider this when making your reservation. They are usually full, so you cannot quickly switch to, for example, the low table at the moment.

The food was delicious! From a practical and emotional point of view, there was a downside. One that you will never forget. We had to sit at a small table with 4 adults, 1 meter by one meter, because that was the policy, while the restaurant was almost empty on a Tuesday evening. We thought that was a bit strange. After an unpleasant conversation we were allowed to remain seated at 2 tables. I therefore found the welcome by the service really unprofessional. Ultimately it's about the chef and the food, but this was a moment of acceptance.

A household name in the center of Apeldoorn for years. You can go there for a delicious lunch, dinner or just for a drink. Recommended!! 👍🏼

Very cozy and attractive restaurant/cafe. It radiates a warm living room. Service is also friendly and the food is excellent! Allergies (such as gluten) are very well taken into account, which is very nice.

Just a little more class than a cafe, especially reflected in the experienced service, cozy interior and also more luxurious dishes. But something for everyone. Great to spend the whole evening. You don't have to be in a hurry, there are plenty of breaks between the dishes. At the back of the building are some quiet places where you can have quiet conversations without any noise from other guests. Some dishes: Carpaccio crostini (photo) is slightly different from a regular carpaccio, looks a bit like sushi on small pieces of toast. Special flavor combination. The perfectly cooked tenderloin in gravy with bread for the dip in gravy (copied from Loetje). French fries with shaved pieces of truffle. Recommended. (as is often the case: lettuce and fries must be ordered separately if desired) Cheesecake after. To date the tastiest we have had. (recipe?) Plenty of choice for the wine lover.

Super nice atmosphere but the service could be better. The tenderloin looks quite bare, sitting alone in a puddle of gravy with a white sandwich next to it. For that money you would at least expect some garnish. The risotto was very good.

Nice wine restaurant with a great ambience. Unfortunately with ups and downs. Pinot Grigio was not good. Tarte flambée with goat cheese is again delicious. Burger for 16 euros is delicious but too expensive without a side dish. All in all, there is still some potential for improvement. Still, I would recommend it.

What a mockery that 12 o'clock, 14 euros for a 3 x 4 cm sandwich with pulled chicken, glass of asparagus soup and a dry white slice of bread with a croquette. Too bad, it was much better here a few years ago. So......not again next time.

We came here again for the high wine. We really liked it! The dishes are different each time we come here and the wine is very good. Maybe the wine should also change periodically to make the experience new again with every visit.

Unfortunately the food was disappointing, ordered small portions for 2 people for 85 euros and the stove was turned off on February 23, 2023 no more Martins Brasserie for us!!!!

This time a slightly lesser experience at Martins. We had to wait almost an hour for our first dish. It's a good thing we ordered salad and fries because I only got a plain hamburger bun. My husband had the fish, unfortunately it was way overcooked. Said this to staff but nothing was done about it. My dessert (cheesecake) was delicious, my husband had a cheese board. For €12.50 I expected a little more than 5 very small pieces of cheese, 3 wafer-thin slices of fig bread and a little apricot jam. Too bad, but unfortunately no more Martins for us for the time being.
