A visit to Sublime is well worth it just because of the interior specially made for this brasserie. I think they even ended up among the highest in a competition for the most beautiful restaurant in the Netherlands. The menu is slightly different from the other eateries in the area, which I like.

Disappointing visit on a weekday. Very limited menu choice and far too high prices. Not worth repeating! Toilet only accessible via stairs.

Als feestganger samen met echtgenote de maaltijd genuttigd in deze gelegenheid. Goed gekleed en zeer vriendelijk personeel. Als vooraf een tonijn amuse. Het hoofdgerecht was een biefstuk en een heerlijk nagerecht met vruchten. Alles was echt zeer goed verzorgd. Alle gerechten werden voor de feestgangers tegelijk opgediend. Was echt KLASSE. Schoon sanitair. Betaald parkeren er wordt gecontroleerd.

Nice restaurant in terms of decor. ,food takes a very long time and is mediocre at best. Plaice was bone dry. No explanation or apology. Had to wait more than 45 minutes between starter and main course while the restaurant was far from full, only a few tables occupied and no apologies or explanations. not recommended for dinner. I understand that lunch is better... but I'm not going to try it...

Had lunch on a Sunday, reserved in advance but there was still plenty of room. Had nice fresh iced tea. Nicely decorated and friendly staff. Salads and sandwiches were well filled, but the Philly cheese steak sandwich was disappointing. Was very sparsely invested for the same price (around 16 euros) so wouldn't go for this.

Nicely decorated Brasserie, food was a bit pricey, but the quality made up for it. There were too few people serving, so you had to wait a long time for a drink and we had to wait a very long time for the food. If that were faster, it would be really great. Service was friendly, which makes a difference.

Enjoyed a very extensive birthday lunch yesterday with a group of 20 people. It was undoubtedly a success, partly due to good agreements in advance. Food was fine, even though it took a while before the first course was served due to the crowds. Service was very good and attentive. We will definitely come back.

Delicious dishes, really prepared with attention and not too large, so you can really enjoy your meal without being full straight away. The service was a young lady, very correct and nice. It was a pleasant experience with attention to the dishes and the customer.

Food was okay, certain dishes far too basic, other dishes completely missed out due to “wanting but not being able to” The atmosphere itself was very haughty. The service was substandard... unfriendly and it was difficult to clear our table, ask if we wanted anything to drink, wouldn't give us a menu,... Oh yes: take a lot of time if you come to eat here because it takes a very long time. This while the room was half full. Shame..

When we arrived, we first had to beg to get a menu. It was 5.45 pm so definitely an hour to eat. According to the waitress, there was nothing on the menu except wine, so we could safely choose from the bar bites listed on the table. In the end we kept pushing until we got 3 menus! As seen in advance on the website, there were indeed starters and main courses on the menu. Really what a joke! We should have known then that the restaurant would be a big flop. Dan: Service was useless! Had to wait an hour between starter and main course. Everything remained standing while waiting: empty glasses, bottles, dirty plates, etc. The restaurant itself was barely half full so I have no idea why everything took so long. The food was substandard and small portions, for half the price you can eat at least as mediocre in Belgium. The atmosphere was extremely haughty, which is absolutely not necessary for such a simple brasserie with such mediocre food. They can still learn a lot, I have no idea how they got 4.5 on Google!

Beautiful restaurant with a nice menu with delicious dishes. We had lunch, 1x 'bread' with carpaccio, wow, what a full plate it was, very well filled, with delicious dressing and decoration (so to speak) and 1x a sandwich with salmon and tuna salad. That sandwich looked great too, it was a party on the plate! Service was good, but actually a bit too fast. She wanted to take a cup of coffee from the table that was still half full, and take away 1 plate while the other was still eating. Would be nice if they weren't in such a rush...but, I'll definitely be back, it's totally worth it!

Het is ons vaste restaurant waar we vaak komen. Lunch, diner , het is altijd heerlijk. Zelfgemaakte bonbons bij de koffie, aanpassing in het menu is nooit een probleem. Ook voor kinderen een eigen menukaart. Hun Hap&Stap concept is altijd heel gezellig met live muziek. Ook het terras is gezellig zeker om na het shoppen een lunchplank te nuttigen.

Het was zeer lekker en verzorgd. Een echte aanrijder met zeer goede prijs-kwaliteitverhouding. Vernieuwende keuken en gezellig interieur! Een aanrader voor een lunch terwijl de kinderen zich amuseren in de Efteling :-)

Nice location, nice decoration, good service. And in Waalwijk it is easiest to explain to people from outside Waalwijk, because they can literally park next to it and it is within spitting distance of the bus station. If I want to meet people from outside Waalwijk, I always let them come to Subliem.

I recently celebrated my 75th birthday at Brasserie Sublime. My group consisted of 60 people and everyone was very enthusiastic. In addition to the delicious food (we had a 5-course appetizer dinner), the service was super good and very friendly and attentive. No one has missed anything. It has exceeded all my expectations. I had never eaten there before. I chose Sublime because of the beautiful location and the attractive ambiance. Thank you very much Debby, you and your team made it an unforgettable birthday for me and my guests. Thanks again!

Lekker gegeten. Bisque was heel erg lekker en hoog op smaak. Bavette heel lekker en gewoon wat je er van mag verwachten. Bediening goed . Jammer alleen dat als je wijn drinkt voor het water ( geen fles) moet betalen. Maar dat vinden ze in Nederlandse horeca vaak normaal. Dit aangegeven aan bediening. Er werd aangegeven dat blijkbaar afhankelijk is van degene die water brengt. Want zelf deed ze water niet rekenen. Dit is trouwens geen enkele belemmering om nog terug te komen. Want het was gewoon goed.

Sublime wasn't so Sublime! After waiting 40 minutes on the terrace for 2 x chocolate milk with whipped cream on Sunday, November 13, 2022, we left without anything to do! Our patience had run out. A threesome and another couple who arrived on the terrace after us were allowed to order earlier and their order had already been delivered. While taking our order, it also turned out that the pastries had run out (choice from 5 types) and that already at 2 p.m. because, well, logically they would be closed tomorrow (Monday), was the answer from the waitress. No more Sublime for us!

Enjoyed a delicious lunch: a lunch platter with a hot soup, scrambled eggs, crispy chicken, sandwiches, salad with salmon, crab salad. The desserts were also very tasty. The brasserie is located on a parking lot just outside the car-free center.

Very tasty food and drinks. They have different dishes here than at other restaurants. Service is very good. All in all value for money. Lovely relaxed atmosphere and very nicely decorated.

Ate with a large group, carpaccio was not dressed as standard but with, for example, gherkins and pearl onions, nice and tasty but on the salty side. Afterwards, several main dishes in the group were also found to be very salty. Desserts were very tasty. The exhaust in the kitchen was not optimal.

We had a good meal at Sublime, we went to watch handball in the Beneleague against Tachos one evening, first had a snack, was well received by the hostess and ate well.

Why we will not visit this restaurant again. Let me start with the positives. As first-time visitors to Sublime, we were very curious about the restaurant. We noticed it, given the (positive) difference with the other restaurants in the center of Waalwijk. At first glance it seemed like a nice contrast to the competition. In our eyes, something innovative with a lot of potential (despite the fact that the restaurant has already been in operation for 4 years). The restaurant: Upon arrival, the restaurant also appeared to be in excellent condition. Clean, well-equipped kitchen, which was also open and very clean. The sanitary facilities were also in perfect order! Very clean toilets! The design of the restaurant was also well thought out! Nice design and beautiful decoration. The wine: The wines were nothing more than fine. Simple, affordable and delicious. Nothing special that will make your mouth water, but for these prices that's not a bad thing at all. A fair price, for honest wines that went well with the dishes. (Here's a small note that it would have been nice if we had received some more information about pairing the wines with the food, since the food was a surprise). The food: The food itself was surprisingly good! Once again a simple but fair choice! Nice dishes, something for everyone. We were later told that the purpose of the restaurant in the past; earning a star was. However, this was impossible with the map presented to us. As the restaurant itself states: "Honest, local, tasty". And it was. Nothing bizarrely special, just tasty and honest food for the whole family. Not somewhere to go if you really want a stellar experience. The way the all-inclusive menu was served was quite clumsy on the small tables, but that did not spoil the fun. All in all, it is clear that Sublime has also had to adapt to the demands of the environment in these difficult times for the catering industry. From a star dream to a family offering. Price: The price was also great for us. Very affordable for a nice meal without too much fuss. Afterwards we even heard that a 10% discount was given. Something I have never experienced in a restaurant. Perhaps another way to draw the environment in a little more. Nevertheless, an interesting surprise. Sounds like this will trigger a second visit, right? Nope! We now arrive at the service. Service: What tarnished the entire experience for us was the bad mood and disinterested attitude of one of the two servers. There was no laughing matter! Throwing the dishes when serving, disrespectful and disinterested tone, in short, not only clearly no hospitality training/experience; but an overall grumpy attitude that definitely tarnished the atmosphere. During a conversation with her colleague (who may have been a bit young and inexperienced, but very friendly and at least did her best to give us a nice evening); the atmosphere disruptor even turned out to be the owner! Speaking of her friendly colleague, as I already indicated, she certainly did her best. For this price range, this is also the service you can expect. No Inter Scaldes treatment, but again honest and friendly. Not yet fully experienced with regard to the etiquettes of clean service, but again this is absolutely not necessary for this price range. She made up for every possible negative aspect with her friendly service. However, the owner is absolutely the reason that we will not return to this restaurant. We hope this was a one-time issue. Everyone can have a bad day sometimes. It may even have been necessary for the owner to intervene due to a shortage of staff. That's always possible. That's why we give this restaurant the benefit of the doubt. We always remain neat, gallant and pleasant and don't let anyone ruin our evening. We therefore hope that everything goes well with the owner.

We have wanted to have lunch or dinner here for some time, which finally happened this afternoon. Had a nice lunch. We opted for a lunch platter for 2 people. (the Sublime topper). Mini sandwiches (white and brown), crab salad, scrambled eggs, chicken coke and something else, tomato soup and a salad with goat cheese. All really tasty.

First of all, congratulations on your 2 year anniversary. Surprise lunch menu with dessert truly excellent. What a tour de force: Sea bass cooked in pickle, never eaten before. Large piece of pork belly with entourage and a fantastic dessert of peach and ginger with scoops of creamy ice cream and very light mousse. A super place for foodies!
