Had a party here. Nice, atmospheric venue. Had a great time. A big compliment to the hostess. What positive energy she brought with her. Cheerful, spontaneous, and thoughtful. A star! I would definitely host a party here myself as well.

The food was really delicious. It was nice that the waiter asked when we wanted the main course so that we didn't get everything one after the other too quickly. Good staff otherwise.

Had an excellent meal in a cozy restaurant where they know their craft and the staff enjoy what they do.

We stopped by on our motorbike and initially just wanted to have coffee and a treat. The service was incredibly attentive, and we were served an amuse-bouche. We liked it so much that we decided to order a full meal, and we thoroughly enjoyed a delicious starter. If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely go for a full meal; we are already looking forward to it.

What a wonderful afternoon we had here. Every dish was beautifully presented and tasted exquisite. The salmon with the fresh carrot and creamy sauce was especially highly recommended. The dessert, with the freshly served whipped cream and strawberry, was also the perfect ending to our meal. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the lovely presentation of everything served. We will certainly be back here soon.

It's a shame you have to leave at 9 o'clock.

A complaint is an opportunity, and they certainly understand that here. The tournedos wasn't exactly how I ordered it, so the chef explained why and gave me a tip for the next time I order it. As compensation, I received a cup of tea with a treat, and let's be honest, the steak was good and the rest was truly perfect. So I will definitely be back.

I liked the bacon with cod a bit less; it was about the combination. Otherwise, the food was perfect and the staff was very friendly.

We had a lovely dinner with 4 people at Zwakenberg. The reception was very friendly and welcoming. A beautifully decorated restaurant with a cozy atmosphere! The food was good, although I didn't think the spareribs were great. In my opinion, they were cooked a bit too well. But the Carpaccio XL and the Dame Blanche, on the other hand, were superb! The service was also very friendly, and there was enough time between courses to let it all settle. All in all, a pleasant experience and a fine restaurant. Definitely recommended!

We had a very tasty meal; it looked neat on the plate. Normal portions. Friendly service, attentive but not intrusive. Tasty amuse-bouches in between courses. You can order extra. We will definitely eat at Zwakenberg Raalte again.

We had a staff party, first drinks at another bar, then went here for dinner and enjoyed a long chat. The service was excellent and the owner was friendly.

I was traveling for business and had dinner here. I received a very warm welcome. I really enjoyed the atmosphere, as it was exceptionally cozy for the Christmas season. I received a couple of small complimentary treats from the kitchen...a little something extra from the kitchen. The food was delicious and plentiful. If I could give more stars, I would. I will definitely visit this restaurant again on my next trip to the area.

It looks very nice and cozy. We asked if we could have a drink, which we could... We sat down... The music was a bit loud, but it was okay. When we asked for the drinks menu, it wasn't there, and we felt it was said rather snappily. When we asked for the menu, she didn't respond. We checked online and found the menu, but no drinks... Luckily, they were priced correctly, and we paid €3 per drink and got two free glasses of water. That was very kind, though. She didn't seem very friendly when we left either. There were only three of us, so it wasn't busy at 3:15 PM. Oh well, maybe next time will be better.

Had a great lunch. Friendly service. Lovely ambiance. On the terrace, if the sun is shining, you do sit quite heavily in the sun. That's why I sat inside. Lovely place. A tip: I had the mustard soup, and it strikes me so often that restaurants outside Zutphen and Doesburg don't really dare (?) to serve real mustard soup. It's simply striking how mild such a soup often is. At Zwakenberg, too. I would say come and taste it in the mustard cities sometime 😉. And I keep trying. Maybe I should just stop doing that.

What a lovely ambiance. Cheerful and efficient service that is up for a joke. Cold beer and delicious XXL spare ribs. For us, a wonderful end to a Saturday.

Dit restaurant is echt fantastisch voor een goed en ontspannen avondje uit met vrienden. Vandaag 4 gangen verrassingsmenu gekozen. Het was vanaf het begin gewoonweg zalig. Het personeel is zeer vriendelijk en respectvol.

We had a wedding in the evening and wanted to grab a bite to eat somewhere beforehand. Zwakenberg brought us relief. The restaurant was already quite full, and that at 5:50 PM; the locals eat early in Raalte. We were greeted warmly, and that felt nice. Being nice takes absolutely no effort in Raalte. Kudos to the very skilled staff. For starters, tasty warm bread rolls with spreads—a very pleasant start. Main course included salmon, schnitzel, and pork tenderloin; everyone was happy with this. The plates were beautifully presented, but I found just a carrot a bit meager. The side dishes were delicious, but a bit on the small side for four people. The desserts were good, but I really missed the firmness of a Bastogne biscuit base in the MonChou, and the white chocolate ice cream tasted more like regular ice cream—a missed opportunity. It remains a tricky task to create ultimate desserts. Good value for money. €45 per person with approximately two drinks per person. To help people on their way, here is a legend from now on: Stars 1. Run run run, before it's too late. 2. Weak to mediocre. You would be better off spending your money elsewhere, and/or the experience is disappointing. 3. On the right track, but there are major hurdles regarding quality and/or hospitality. 4. Yes, I want to see this. There is room for improvement, but I would definitely come back. 5. Yes, I want to see and experience this, and I recommend you make a detour for it.

Chose Zwakenberg. Pleasantly surprised that there was an asparagus menu and a truly excellent Alsatian Pinot Blanc served with it. The service was very good, positive and helpful with the choice, the food, and the conclusion without coming across as overbearing or intrusive. Well done team!!

On Easter Sunday 2025, we enjoyed Easter brunch. The starter was Chinese tomato soup, served at the table. The rest of the brunch was a buffet. Carefully prepared and delicious. We especially appreciated the delightful simplicity and the fact that the room wasn't overcrowded, creating a pleasant, peaceful atmosphere.

In one word: excellent. Everything is perfect, it is visually appealing, fantastic ambiance. Atmosphere, friendly staff, the food.

We asked Google Maps for a lunch stop on the way to Deventer. Brasserie Zwakenberg was one of the options, and with a touch of a finger, we changed course. Once inside, we were surprised by a number of round seating areas, including one with an old Hollywood star. After a soup and a goat cheese and strawberry sandwich, waved goodbye by the friendly staff, and a quick photo on leaving, we were on our way.

Everything was perfect! The atmosphere was great, as was the staff. The food was delicious.

I ordered vegan at a group dinner. They clearly have little experience with this. The chefs, in my opinion, had taken it easy. A bowl of fruit instead of a pastry, two halves of roasted zucchini instead of a cheese croquette, broth instead of two kinds of soup like my companions received. The food I received was edible, but it was meager compared to what my companions had and showed little imagination.

And the staff is great, really recommended, we will definitely come back again.

Pleasant location for a pleasant evening. Cozy and casual. We had a great time with a four-course menu, including wines. Personal service, flexible with wishes. No complaints. Nice suggestion for a night out in Raalte. Ended up there on occasion, but certainly satisfied. Recommended!

It was really fantastic! We opted for the chef's 5-course menu. My friend and I were amazed at how good the food was and how delicious we ate. The service was quick, very friendly and we had an extensive meal. I like to eat out, almost weekly, all over the Netherlands, and this was one of the best times. Highly recommended!

5 stars is only when expectations are exceeded. Of course, 4 stars remains good, but there are a few points. We waited almost 1 hour for the main course. I think that's way too long. Especially with children involved. I find the main course itself a bit sparse. Especially for the price. When serving and clearing the table, the employee leaned against the table, causing it to shift slightly. I hear you thinking, what a nonsense. But it's just not nice. What I still can't get used to is that you get several people at the table and not 1 permanent host/hostess. In my opinion, that improves the experience. The quality of the food is otherwise excellent. You can park a little further away, more than enough.

Gemengde gevoelens na een bezoekje, hier. Uiterst vriendelijk en attent personeel maakt veel goed, en gelukkig maar want de culinaire ervaring was wat minder. Bitterballen net aan ontdooid, maar wel weer een heerlijke broodplank. Champignons prima van smaak maar met een enorme klont onwaar beslag er in en een heerlijke schnitzel qua smaak, maar klef en slap op een laag groente die daar niets te zoeken heeft... Kortom, gemengde gevoelens, helaas.

Nice ladies who helped us. Were with a group and everyone was treated politely and smoothly. The food was also delicious, looked beautiful. I had it for 12 hours, definitely recommended, although the rest looked delicious too.

We went for Easter brunch with a group of 11 people. Upon arrival we were shown to our table by an employee. When we walked into the dining room I felt like we had ended up at the local bingo. The room was full of people at tables waiting patiently for the brunch to open. Little attention had been paid to the decoration of the room. The food was very tasty and diverse. There was more than enough and you didn't have to queue for long. For each his own. It was a pity that at one point our table was full of dirty crockery and it took a long time before it was collected. Slightly more staff would be desirable for next year. When we paid, the children in our group received a chocolate Easter bunny 👌 Conclusion: The food was tasty, but decoration was lacking. I would come back here again next year, provided more work is done on the decoration.

Onverwachts ongelofelijk goed! Elke keer weer een verrassing wat voor amuses er voorgeschoteld worden. Attente en leuke bediening. Relaxte sfeer en prettig zitten, vooral ook bijv. de ronde zit met 4 personen. Prijs is ook zeer goed, zeker in vergelijk met andere pretentieuzere restaurants. No nonsense heerlijk eten, wij houden er van.

Waarschijnlijk zijn we op een verkeerd moment geweest. Het restaurant zat vol en waarschijnlijk was het ook druk in de zalen. Het duurde heel lang voor we iets te drinken hadden en voordat daarna de kaart geleverd werd. We zijn zelf bij de balie gaan vragen of men ons vergeten was. Het eten was niet verkeerd, maar het gevoel was dat men op dat moment de drukte niet aan kon. Jammer, maar normaal horen we goede verhalen over Zwakenberg.

Goed restaurant waar men duidelijk de nadruk op kwaliteit legt. De menukaart is niet heel erg uitgebreid, maar de keuze is voldoende. We hadden spareribs en een schnitzel besteld. Het eten werd goed heet geserveerd op voorverwarmde borden. Frietjes, gebakken aardappelblokjes en een aardbei/rabarber-compote werd in aparte schaaltjes geserveerd. Het was heerlijk.

Na een middagje Ribs&blues deze brasserie gereserveerd voor 6 personen. Gezellig restaurant. Fijne bediening, vriendelijk. Eten was echt super! Varkenshaas en de schnitzel en de groente waren perfect bereid. Heerlijke voor- en nagerechten. We komen hier zeker nog eens terug.

Kwamen hier terecht op doorreis. Echt een super leuk restaurant, heel fijn/vriendelijk personeel en dan ook nog heerlijk gegeten. Als we weer in de buurt zijn komen we zeker terug.

Na jaren geleden nog in de kroeg geweest is het nu omgetoverd tot een eet gelegenheid . Het eten was uitstekend service en atmosphere ook goed. Omdat we maar een paar gerechten hebben genuttigd kan ik geen 5 sterren geven. Ik zou de menu kaart iets meer aanpassen/uitbreien met bv fries 🍟 en burgers en chicken wings
