The restaurant is beautifully situated. Both the exterior and interior are beautiful. The lights inside occasionally flickered due to a technical issue. The pancakes were delicious. The dessert was disappointing. Cheap supermarket ice cream with little flavor. The presentation and the fruit used were also mediocre. All in all, slightly disappointing. Edit: After improvements, the quality has improved. Compliments.

The three of us thoroughly enjoyed the walking package here. We received a friendly welcome in the warm and modern restaurant, and first enjoyed a delicious, well-filled pancake. A nice touch was the generous bowl of syrup on the table. Nearby, you can enjoy lovely walks in the woods, or visit Heino or the supermarket in the woods. Upon our return, a delicious slice of apple pie with delicious whipped cream made the afternoon complete. Thank you for your hospitality!

The food and atmosphere are great. But what I find particularly good and very important is the service provided by the staff. Today, we were mostly served by Stan. We were able to book a table at 7:15 PM through a social deal. We were given a beautiful table by the window. Our first drink order was promptly accepted, but it took about 45 minutes for our food order to arrive. We finally received our food at 8:10 PM. We had soup as a starter with an extra bread platter. It tasted great. And then we had a delicious farmer's pancake! However, it was from the pancake carousel, which made it look and taste more like a factory-made pancake. What we found annoying was that the pancake wasn't finished yet, and we were already asked if we knew what we wanted for dessert and if we wanted to order our last drink, as the bar was closing. Then, dessert was "thrown" on the table. After a few bites, we were asked to pay. The restaurant was now completely empty. The music had been turned off, and the waitresses were waiting with towels and new placemats to set our table for the next day. We quickly finished dessert and headed home. After asking if it often happens that people are practically sent home, I was told that the kitchen actually closes at 8:00 PM and that it was already running late, so they wanted to get home. Overall, the food was excellent! But this evening, the service wasn't what it should have been.

This morning my sweetheart said, "Tonight we're going to have a delicious pancake at Pan en Koek with a Social deal." After a hard day's work, we were really looking forward to it. Once there, we found a nice spot on the terrace. A friendly lady came over to ask what we'd like to drink, and the drinks were served quickly. After a while, we waved to a waitress and asked if we could order. We could, and the delicious soup arrived promptly. Then the wait began. We'd been there for an hour and hadn't seen a pancake yet. Well, we had, but they weren't for us. Three tables that had come after us were already enjoying their pancakes. I waved again and told her we'd been there an hour without pancakes. I told her we'd ordered through the Social deal last time and had a long wait then as well. Could one thing be related? The waitress confirmed this. When people come to us and order à la carte, they go first... Huh? So, besides the fact that you can only choose from three simple ingredients, you run the risk of being stuck there until you're blue in the face. We asked if we wanted a free drink, and the waitress went to ask where the pancakes were. After 12 minutes, they arrived. Not homemade. Thick and pale, and the beautiful English word "soggy" says it all. The waitress said she'd let the kitchen know I didn't like them and then come back to clear the table and ask what we'd like for dessert. You probably know what's coming next. More than half an hour later, still no waitress. Then she finally spotted one and told them they could keep the dessert and just cancel it against the two drinks, and we'd go home, since we'd only had soup and some kind of pancake in two hours. I was about to get up when I heard the waitress say she was going to settle the bill. Bill, I thought? While we were already standing, she said, "The owner says it's free. Huh? Free, what do you mean?" It was already paid for... In short, beware of Pan and Koek's cookies!

Had dinner here on a Tuesday night. It took ages to get refilled drinks. I ordered a shawarma pancake and actually had to send it back twice because it was cold. I finished it the second time because I was hungry and we'd already waited over an hour and a half for our food. I wouldn't rush back.

Pancakes don't come out of a pan; you can definitely taste that. Friendly staff. We always eat out with the kids when it's their birthday... And we always mention it in the reservation comments. This was the first time nothing was done about it... even if it was a little sparkler in his ice cream... And no, I won't go to the table and ask where my son is sitting, like, "Gosh, I wrote something in the reservation comments." That's the kind of extra service that makes you come back. Otherwise, it's pretty good, but we won't bother with it again next time.

Great pancake restaurant. I think the pancakes themselves are made on an automatic plate, which I don't like; the texture is a bit thicker and rubbery...the topping was delicious. It all went quickly, and it was fine, but I doubt I'd go back again; I don't think so.

We went to dinner on July 16th because it was our son's birthday. The second pancake was free. I did have to bring the newspaper clipping with me. (Please mention it in the newspaper, it's the polite thing to do!) We ordered a menu with fries and a frikandel. They only gave us the reserved fries. When I asked for the frikandel, it still had to be fried... and the gift wasn't included. I had to ask for it too. Really bad! And to top it all off, the lady charged a surcharge of 5 euros because we ordered a single frikandel, even though I asked for a menu. Strange! 🙄

A very nice restaurant. Unfortunately, there's no play area for children. The food was fine. The service was very poor. The waitresses were very upset that people showed up without reservations. They clearly didn't want to be there. A shame, because otherwise it's a great place for a quick bite.

We drove by here and spontaneously decided to have lunch. We expected pancakes but luckily they also had many other delicious dishes. Everything looks great, the entrance, the business, the dishes and the team. Very neat service too. The only downside I found were the prices, €10 for a children's menu and €9 for a toasted sandwich are quite high.

Beautiful location. Very friendly ladies. Unfortunately they don't have a children's play corner, which is a shame for a place called "pan&koek". But the girls from the service did everything they could to replace that with coziness and coloring pages. 👍🏼 They just have to look for a new chef immediately, because this is going to be the downfall. Cold nachos with chemical cheese sauce from the wholesaler? Unimaginative burgers with the same stuff. This has to change in such a beautiful place. Pancakes were not bad, but not fantastic either. Okay pancake restaurant. You expect that if you order poffertjes for €10 per portion that you will receive fresh poffertjes and not ready-made ones from a bag, really very disappointing, actually scandalous. Lots of flies in the restaurant. Pancake was okay but not very special.

The restaurant is beautifully decorated and the food is delicious. Why 3 stars? A pancake restaurant without any play area (even outside), then you don't understand your target group. There were no toys at all, only an activity book which is far too difficult for my 2-year-old child. My tip: sacrifice the space where the piano is for a play corner. I saw several parents searching. A reason for us not to come again, no matter how beautiful and delicious it was. And no, without kids I will definitely eat somewhere else.

We had dinner with your family last Saturday. My son had the New York pancake with pulled chicken, the chicken was not fresh, I could tell it came from the freezer, it was very dry. Pancakes were floury. In terms of service, it could also be better, normally they come into a restaurant and ask if everything is to your liking and if they can serve anything, we had to ask the staff ourselves if we could get something to drink. Beautiful location, very attractive decor. We had to wait a little longer for our food because the bread had to be baked. Not a problem in itself, but the 10 minutes turned into half an hour. Only after I asked for it was it brought to the table in no time. The bouncer was served cold, which is a shame. So it must have been ready for a while :(

Well-known, familiar place but new restaurant. Still just as atmospheric and cozy, but now you can choose from many delicious pancakes. We found the soft drinks to be on the expensive side (€3.25 for 200ml), but the pancakes are very good value for money. Aanader! Pancakes are more than filling, dessert was no longer necessary, but still irresistibly tasty.

Glad there was still a spot at the long table at the entrance. Without reservation during the Christmas holidays... beautiful modern decor, plenty to see. What a delicious thick pancake and strong ginger tea. Booked quickly too. And what's left is given to you to take home in a box.

Had lunch today and the bread was very dry/old. It was like sandpaper and when cut it just crumbled apart. Staff did not come to the table to ask if everything was satisfactory, nor did they ask for payment. That's why I stated it myself. This was responded to soberly with an apology. For lunch, bread is a pretty essential item. We also saw that we were not the only ones in this, several tables left the bread. As a pancake restaurant, they do not have a play area for children. The restaurant is spacious, with its own warm atmosphere. Tables spread over various rooms. Also available outside terrace. It is advisable to make a reservation on Thursday evenings and during the weekend. Sweet pancake had a bit of sweetness to it, giving it 4*. Menu also has other dishes. Furthermore, pancakes taste good. Young team sometimes looking for a division of tasks, but this certainly does not make the atmosphere and customer friendliness any less. All in all an encouraging 5*.
