Breadz BV in Holland Park

Idk what you guys changed about the pistachio croissants, I’ve had them maybe a hundred times before. But now the new ones are revolutionary - love the fuller stuffing - please don’t go back ever to the previous variant.

We got a curry chicken sandwich at Breadz today, but it really wasn't what we're used to. It started with the service. The woman behind the counter was so grumpy she practically threw the sandwiches at us. Not a smile, not a polite word—just pure distaste. Then the sandwich itself… almost nothing but lettuce, with a stray piece of chicken here and there. You really had to search for the curry chicken, and the flavor wasn't great either. A real shame. The only positive was the focaccia bread itself—it was delicious, as always. But otherwise, this was way below your usual standard. Hopefully, this was just a bad day, because this wasn't worthy of Breadz.

The bread here is delicious. But the sandwiches are very mediocre. The pom doesn't resemble authentic Surinamese Pom at all; it's more like a sweet potato mash sandwich.

Bought 2 baguettes, very expensive €3.20 each (well above the average of the specialty bakeries where I had previously bought really good baguettes (for between €2.10 and €2.50)). They look very nice, are relatively small and have little flavor, I wouldn't be surprised if these were pre-baked rather than freshly baked.

The cake is very sweet and I get an uncomfortable feeling after eating it.

I used to be a regular customer here, but not anymore after today. I entered the store with my kitten to order an ice cream. The kitten was tied to a harness and lay quietly in my arms. Then I was just rudely thrown out of the store without any mercy because no animals are allowed? Not even thinking about how I could order from outside. Just shit on the customer because there are enough customers? I really don't think it's normal how I'm treated like this as a regular customer. I won't be coming here anymore anyway. Bah bah bah. Fortunately we were welcome at Lola's where they have great ice cream and also next to the park! Response to owner's response: Dear Joop, if the employee had asked me in a respectful manner to tie my kitten to a designated pole, I would certainly have done so. If I had just been told normally that my kitten was not welcome with regard to hygiene, that would have been fine too. This did not happen as you can read in my review. Once again, without any fuss, it was said that my kitten and I had to leave the store. There was 0.0 cooperation in how I could still order. So there was no reference to the pet pole, I didn't see it myself. I asked how we could do this, but the gentleman literally said that I had to figure out how I would do it if I just left the store. In addition, I didn't see anywhere that pets were prohibited. And even if it was there, this is still no way to treat a (regular) customer. I don't understand the backlash. A firm talk with the employee (a gentleman with dark skin) and an apology would have been more appropriate.

It was nice and i didn't have to wait for long.

The breads, cakes, and cookies here are delicious. We usually buy to eat them at home. Our favourites are the kipworst croissant and cookie-croissant, they are really good!

Tipped by a dear colleague who lives in Diemen. Since I was recently in the area for work, I immediately stopped by. Wonderful bakery and certainly for sourdough lovers!! In addition to a very multigrain sourdough bread🍞, I also treated myself to a deliciously filled pistachio croissant🥐 & a super airy madeleine😍 And not unimportant; was kindly helped by a friendly lady. In other words: I will definitely come back and probably try a sandwich for lunch.

One of the best bakeries in Amsterdam area. My favourites are focaccia and multigrain bread.

Today I got a sandwich for the first time here in Holland Park. It was around lunch time and I saw them, among other things. sold Surinamese sandwiches. I ordered a focaccia with cod, as usual you can choose pepper and sour and possibly lettuce on the sandwich. To be honest, I didn't expect much from it, but this is certainly the tastiest bakkeljauw sandwich I have bought and eaten in the Netherlands. I am of Surinamese descent myself, so I only like my mother's sandwiches better ;) Everything was super fresh. The focaccia was home made and very light. This was a plain focaccia. Furthermore, the sandwich was well filled and nice and fresh because of the pickles and lettuce. It's a big sandwich and I was quite full. Now I have also become new to the pom sandwich. So if I'm in the area again I will definitely go to this bakery again. They also had all kinds of sandwiches, croissants, pastries, baklava, etc. The staff is friendly and listens carefully to what you want and don't want on a sandwich. It's just a bit messy because there wasn't a clear line, but that worked out fine. So highly recommended in my opinion!

Just received a call on Thursday morning from the owner of Breadz with apologies and very nice compensation! Very nice that it was handled so quickly and correctly! I call on Sunday to place a specific order for Wednesday. If you are not accepted by telephone, payment must be made in advance. Okay, not very customer friendly, but I can understand it. So I drive there on Sunday, place my order for Wednesday and pay for it. Now it is Wednesday and I have come to pick up my paid order. And there isn't one. I order in advance for a reason. Now I just took all the remaining sandwiches with me. But I do have a strong opinion about this. I came here on average twice a week. I'm disappointed.

Bought a few cakes from this place for my birthday to serve my colleagues at work. All of them love it and ask for the address. It already tells how good the cakes are. We all love the rainbow cakes which are very tasty. The other cakes are also very good! Forgot to take the photos though. The owner is also very nice and welcoming. I tried to order on the same day, even a few hours left, but she said she could reserve me some cakes that I really appreciated. Will definitely come back and enjoy more and more!!!

They often miscalculate, not sure if it’s accidental or on purpose🙃 so I recommend double-checking the bill. the food is okeish, I Like bread options more than pastries, imo it’s quite pricey for the quality

It's straight up the best bakery in Diemen. I go here 4 times a week or so and have tried most of the "menu"; I've yet to find something bad. I'd recommend getting some brown Spelt if you want some breakfast bread. Pampushki or Pastel de Nata for something tasty on the go.

They have delicious icecream! If you’re looking for ice cream near Our Domain our Diemen Zuid Station, this is a great place to go.

Have been buying croissants and bread here for almost two years, love it! In the summer time they also offer ice cream. Very happy that we get to have such a nice bakery in the neighbourhood 😀 👌

Favorite bakery in Diemen South, love sausage croissant

The staff is very friendly with the shop is conveniently located. Unfortunately, the quality of the baked goods is very inconsistent and borderline ridiculous at times. Baking is inconsistent with often products being under or overcooked. Over the past couple weeks the size of the croissants has almost halved. Meaning you might be paying up to 5,50€ (cookie croissant)for a tiny croissant. I’m really hoping that Breadz focuses on improving the quality and consistency of their product, that would be a winning recipe 😊

I have been trying this spot a few times, as it is the only bakery in the neighborhood (not much choice). Their pastries vary in quality. They often do not have the same size. I happened to buy a really small croissant and pay the same price as a customer getting a normal sized one. The rising is often incomplete, resulting in some pastries being flat or underwhelming. I purchased their paste de nata a couple of times, and they were undercooked. If I go to a local store and pay double the amount I pay in AH or Jumbo, I would expect a better experience.

First Boulangerie that doesn't open before 8 😂 they are 4 inside but they are not going to give you even a baguette before 8, do this in France you shut down next week

I thought the vegan tempeh roll was quite poor and the quality of the roll wasn't really great either. There was little lettuce, but a lot of tempeh, which made the sandwich quite oily. Unfortunately. The employee who helped me was very friendly.

We stopped in here while staying nearby. The service and food were great with the counter staff quick to help us even though we don’t speak Dutch. Had tasty onion bread and croissants.

Customer service is very friendly and products are yummy but as the photos suggest it is not sit down and eat place it is more like pick up . No coffee but ice cream is available.

Hele leuke winkel in de buurt. Verrukkelijk desem brood, taart, koeken, wijn en andere lekkere dingen. Sinds kort hebben ze ook home made schepijs!

First time going there. I tried the Tuscan pizza, and a bunch of the sweet stuff, everything was sooo good! And the guy working there was super nice and explained everything they have - next time I’ll try the sourdough croissants he recommended 🙃 Definitely the best bakery in Diemen in my opinion

Top Ten Coffee Ever. It was so good, that I Ve ordered another one. I would say, It is not the cheapest place in Amsterdam, but, they sell good quality. Staff is very helpful, and dedicated. A little problem: They forgot to have lettuce inside my Panini. (Ok, it was tasty anyway!) And, the menu has a little "or" in the ingredients of the breads... I thought it would come w chicken and salami... But, there was an "or" there! Ok! My fault to do not read it Accordingly. They have many types of bread, which are all very good! A bit pricey, aligned with the gentrification of the neighbourhood. If you're vegan or lactose intolerant make sure to ask the ingredients because many loafs are made with milk. The olive ciabatta is vegan and super delicious! They also started to sell vegan dessert like the lemon cake in the picture, which was very good 👍 Kudos to the gentleman in the morning who gave me a second slice for free after I accidentally dropped mine on the floor right outside the bakery, that was really nice 😄
