Beautiful bakery but as I was taking a video to record the pastries the staff rudely accused me of recording them. Strange behaviour

It's a great place for breakfast. After exploring the museum, I also enjoyed Savoie. The coffee was excellent. The croissants for breakfast were delicious. The vegetable bread I had with my jasmine was also delicious.

Raspberry muffin was pretty basic (I was told it has raspberry filling but it didnt, maybe staff is misinformed) but the mango cheesecake was super yummy.

Great stop for quick breakfast and coffee before hitting the museums. I had a quiche, croc monsieur, a lemon tart and coffee and everything was good, ~€20 total, no tables only about 6 seats against the wall.

The mango cheesecake was amazing!!! Also the croquet moinsuer was delicious. A must try! Not much seating inside but great to take away

Found by chance, but with a display case like this, how can you not stop? Excellent quality, super crunchy and large. Money well spent, I highly recommend it, especially the desserts. Top!!

Bad service. Sandwiches are tasteless

Good place to have breakfast in Amsterdam. I found the service slow because there was only one person serving, there are no tables, just a counter, and it was quite crowded. I give it a 4 for the taste of the meal, which was indeed very good. They only accept cards, no cash. Would I go back? No! Further down the street on the corner there's a market with good options and better prices. But it's worth the experience.

Cakes were fab, coffees were KEICH. Ozzy hated his capu and flung it roon a bin.

When I arrived, the employee was engaged in a lively conversation with a colleague. That was perfectly fine, of course. But this continued while he took and placed my order. Not exactly good customer service. And then the price. Wow. €1.05 for a currant bun is doable, I guess. But a cheese croissant for €3.75 is absolutely ridiculous. Combined with the lack of customer service, this is a big thumbs down for me.

This was my first time visiting this place. I tried the warm cheese and onion pizza and really enjoyed it.

Limited variety of lunch options. Portions are very small, and the value for money is mediocre. The pizzas aren't particularly good, nothing special. Service isn't the fastest, but the staff is friendly enough. The place is small with very little seating.

The only mistake we saw was that they don't accept cash, but the rest was fine.

Best cheese and ham croissants I ever had!

Great bakery. Only gripe is how long it took to be served. There ins't really a queue. Its impossible to tell if people are waiting to place their order or if they're waiting for their food. Not much space to sit and eat either. Plus they're super stingy with napkins. Aside from all that, the baked items themselves are delicious. Probably not the best I've ever had but definitely better than most bakeries I've been to in the US. Fantastic location.

As expected, the bread in Europe is delicious. They make a ham and cheese croissant, and if you drink it with coffee, it's better than the hotel breakfast buffet. The store is pretty and highly recommended. Try a variety of breads.

Let's say that the place speaks for itself, the food is sensational and the atmosphere is beautiful, however it is a very local establishment and the staff doesn't make a point of communicating with you or understanding you very well, but it was worth it and I highly recommend it.

Horrible trato al cliente. De hecho asqueroso. En todas las panaderías el empleado me agarra para que me coman panadería con las manos desnudas o peor aún en guantes que no se quitan ni siquiera al lavar platos y agarrar todo alrededor. ¡Asqueroso! ¡En todos los países en vías de desarrollo la gente usa herramientas para agarrar una panadería! ¡Aquí es asqueroso y considerado normal! Zuidas, la señora me miró cuando le pedí que se cambiara los guantes después de lavar las bandejas grandes. ¡Wtf!

Good food, but don't think too much about ordering your food, the woman keeps staring at you and asking what you want... she's very grumpy and impatient. I gave up on buying everything I wanted and I don't recommend it.

Underwhelming taste and service

I entered the store at 5:00 PM. And I wanted 2 croissants warmed up. But the lady behind the cash register said that that was not possible because the oven was already off, even though I could clearly see the green light and the screen on.

Yammmieee!! The croissants here are super tasty! You may pay a little more, but you can still treat yourself regularly. Delicious!!

Bakery with absurdly expensive prices. 3.65 euros for a cheese croissant! It doesn't make sense. The service is mediocre, smiling is apparently not in their policy. I'll never come back.

This afternoon I bought 2 brown rolls and 4 soft rolls were really old. I threw the rolls away and the rolls were very dry and that for my expensive money.

A super rude and racist woman working there ruined my day. She was fine with everyone else but me and my boyfriend since we walked in. Rolling her eyes, and told us off when we asked if they have one particular bread “if you open your eyes you’ll see okay?“ and tell me not to put my hair down when eating there.

You have a lot of choice from bread to patisserie . The almond croissant is good , the Citroen cake is too sweet , and the baguette is fine but it should be a bit more crunchy

Such a wonderful bakery and such a kind owner! — I'm vegetarian so I was hoping the Croque Monsieur was veggie friendly, unfortunately it wasn't 😭 but the owner immediately started suggesting alternatives that would be similar and I really appreciated that! I ended up getting a cheese tomato and lettuce baguette which was wonderful before heading to the Van Gogh Museum. 10/10 recommended, getting early breakfast here is a vibe! Not to mention the beautiful golden deco 🥐

Cheese and ham croissant to die for!

Like any proper bakery, I was foaming at the mouth just walking by, and as soon as I had entered I felt the sin of gluttony descend upon me, sharpening my teeth into prongs to better eat all the cakes. The croque monsieur will haunt me as my newest sleep paralysis demon, fearful only through the thought that I shall never eat it again. May you be guided here for breakfast by the same lucky fortune that drove me to need to get a nearby tramline. If for some reason you don't need a nearby tram, find a reason to go here regardless.

It's a really pretty local with lots of baked goods. It's a little pricier than other places with similar stock. The place is a bit cramped and the workers seemed really stressed. Also don't forget anything when you order, not even to ask for a fork to eat with, or they'll demand that you stand in line again to get that fork.

Very tasty sandwiches and cakes. Service behind the counter is really bad. I asked if they could refill my water bottle after I had already bought something and I got "we sell bottles if you want water" in response. In the context of customer friendliness and sustainability, a big thumbs down.

It's a great place to have breakfast. The breads and sweets are fresh and there is a huge variety. Service is friendly and fast. the only thing is that there are only a few places at the counter to sit, making it a little uncomfortable. Otherwise, everything is great!

I’ve walk passed this place and been attracted by the pastries through the windows. We visited at 12:30 on Monday, all the pastry look fresh and amazingly delicious. We ended up buying a whole apple tart for lunch and I think one of my friend bought a ham&cheese bun which he said is very yummy. The apple tart taste super good with the crust and the apple pieces with cinnamon (and maybe some lemon zest?) is absolutely a treat. The only thing that you may concern is that there are not much seats in the shop. It’s sad that we couldn’t enjoy the pastry nicely with a coffee. But it’s a really nice bakery!

Rude and unfriendly staff, handed us the pastries on napkins !!!! (not in bags/ on plates), said they didn't have any cutlery either. The pastries are good but not as fresh. The staff offered all customers to warm their orders, except for us.

Popped in here for some raspberry biscuits and coconut biscuits and they were both delicious. The baker who served us was very friendly and asking about where we came from and telling us about where he came from, it was nice.

Good place to have breakfast. There are no tables, but a few stools and a counter (rectius shelf), where you can place your glass of cappuccino while enjoying a muffin or a pain au chocolat. 2 generously sized sweet pieces and a large cappuccino (enough for 2), 12 euros.

Stuitend hoe je in het filiaal op de Van Baerlestraat behandeld wordt. Dat je veel te veel geld uitgeeft voor een stuk brood wat niet bovengemiddeld goed is, is je eigen keus. De totaal onbeschofte en minachtende manier hoe ze in dit filiaal met je omgaan, is met geen pen te beschrijven. Nooit meer Simon Meijssen.

Sandwiches were okay, but way too expensive. €7.60 for a rather small salmon roll is outrageous. In general everything is very overpriced.

Very delicious, I had the opportunity to try sweet bread and sandwiches from this place and they surpassed anything I had tried anywhere, definitely a must.

Very bad service! Super arrogant lady who asked if she could help us with anything, and before I even had a chance to name my order she went to the next one. After which I walked outside and this lady started waving goodbye to me from inside to outside!

I used to come here often, mainly to get pastries and cookies. Came back there yesterday after a long time - how astronomically the prices have risen. For some products (e.g. American cookies), the price has even doubled in two years or so. The taste was also disappointing this time and the staff is not friendly at all. They won't see me here again.

Lots of choice from sweet to savory and a really nice bakery! We ate a sandwich baguette on site, it was delicious! But it would have tasted better if there had been an option to warm it up.

We were so excited to go here and then quickly disappointed. The cakes *look* amazing but are just very sweet with minimum flavour. The pastries are quite average and for the price? Simply not good enough. Coffee comes from an old automatic machine, and milk is offered in plastic packaging, like on an aeroplane. The staff was not friendly and refused to serve tap water even though we spent around €19 on two deserts and coffees!

Ich habe hier ein Croissant, ein Pain au Chocolat und mehrere belegte Brötchen probiert - alles mega lecker. Der Service ist für niederländische Verhältnisse etwas ruppig (als Deutscher fühlt man sich immer noch wie ein Konig...) Vor allem war ich echt lang satt - gute Ware, komme bestimmt wieder, wenn ich in Amsterdam bin.

Super Yummy Croissant! Tasty and crispy crust. I can eat it every day^^ The best thing is they heat up the croissants for us🥰 The raspberry tart is also nice. The walnut tart is good but the shell is a bit on the hard side. Highly recommend! Will definitely go back and try something else tmr🤩

A golden croissant outside is all I needed to usher me in. And a golden croissant is what I had. It was sublime. What a gorgeous bakery with everything you would want to delight your tastebuds.
