Broodje Van Eigen Deeg in Centrum

By far one of the better bakeries in Groningen. High quality pastries and sandwiches. I don't know of a location that makes better croissants.

It's so so delicious!!! I had a tiramisu tart and it was so delicious and cheap that I was surprised... This is my favorite bakery. Too delicious! I lived the tarte and croissant

The ladies at the front are always friendly and welcoming. The croissants and breads are lovely. I’m glad I can finally purchase some actual bread in this town. I do sometimes have to suppress a grimace at the handling of the items with bare hands. If gloves aren’t the answer, maybe tongs are?

The place does not accept cash. Which is a shame. Their cakes and bread are good and the service friendly.

Small bakery but with very taste bread, cakes and cookies. Way better than the stuff you buy in a supermarket, so don't be surprised if the prices are higher than you are used to. There is a wide variety of tasty Baguettes, Croissants, Bread, Petit Pains, mouth-watering pastry and other sweet goodness. I can definitely recommend the Baguette, Croissant and Lemon Meringue pie!

Geweldig om een Franse bakker in Groningen te hebben! De banquettes zijn echt ongeëvenaard goed voor Hollandse begrippen: knapperig en licht op de maag: ik waan me bijna in Frankrijk als ik er in bijt! De smaak is nog niet helemaal Frans (sorry), maar ik ken geen bakker in Ned. die hieraan kan tippen. Ook bijzondere complimenten voor de luchtige croissants (altijd vette hap in Ned) en de knapperige kaas stengels ( mijn favoriet).

Ordered and picked up our Christmas breakfast here. Received everything frozen and took it out the evening before to thaw and let it travel. Just pop it in the oven and then enjoy it. highly recommended real French croissants and sandwiches. Mmmmmmmm

They have high and delicious quality sourdough bread here. Staff is also very nice and helpful. 😄🍞

I've been in Groningen for the last 10 days and come here almost every day to get my breakfast. If you come from the direction of Westerhaven in the morning you can smell the fresh baked goods 400 meters ahead... A really great tip for Groningen...

I was really glad to finally find a real, French-style bakery in Groningen! The pain au chocolat and croissants are absolutely delicious. It is a bit pricey, but entirely worth it! For everybody who craves bread and pastries like in France!

Very tasty croissant, you can taste the love of baking here. The selection is quite large and the prices are ok for a product of this quality. Of course, this is not an insider tip, it is crowded and you definitely have to plan for a wait. But that doesn't matter, then you can take your time and see what you want.

Amazing sweets and breads! I have probably tried everything from this bakery and they never disappoint. It is on the pricier side, but the quality is superior! If I want to treat myself or someone I love, I always get a cake from here!

My favourite bakery in the city. It offers a small selection of reasonably priced breads, buns, pastries and cakes. Only a glass pane separates the sales room from the bakery, providing the customer with the opportunity to watch the bakers knead the dough and convince yourself of the cleanliness.

The bakery is very correct, and it is very nice to find French products in Groningen, but the prices are completely abusive... we are at least 2x more expensive than in France, and that can go very high very quickly depending on what you take. I really like it, and the bakery must have a certain success, but these exorbitant prices push me to go buy industrial croissants at the supermarket at 25 cents each, where the cheapest croissant is at least 2.20 cents in this bakery...

The perfect place to buy hot and fresh bread. Whenever you visit this shop you will see atleast 10 people in queue. I love their Crescent , Tarte and butter stick bread.

August 2023 Groningen has not the same number of Bakeries like Amsterdam. There are not too much, I would say there is an opportunity here. Broodje van Eigen Deeg is one. Shop to the left and through a 'glass wall' you can see the bakery to the right. Some nice patisserie, of course nice bread and also focaccias as well as cookies of course.

This bakery is card only. But I actually really like that, i think it's more hygienic this way. The baked goods are a bit on the expensive side, but also very good

Heerlijke broodjes en patisserieën!

Als je houdt van lekker eten moet je hier wezen! Jammer dat zo’n sneuneus er voor heeft gezorgd dat jullie zondagochtend niet meer open mogen.

Heerlijke amandel croissants en pistache croissants. Hier kom ik zeker voor terug!

Wat een beleef ervaring deze plek. Je kijkt je ogen uit en het ruikt er hemels. Meer keuze dan je op kan. Maar neem, als je er bent, in ieder geval de amandel croissants mee. Die zijn heerlijk! Vriendelijke bediening ook. Kortom, niet zo maar een bakker maar een belevingsbakkerij.

Probeer zeker de brownie en de hartige broodjes. Maar niks zal je bij deze bakker teleur stellen.

Heerlijk brood, vooral het zuurdesembrood is een aanrader! Ik hoop dat jullie behouden blijven voor Groningen, jullie hebben echt unieke toegevoegde waarde voor onze stad.

Hier gab es die besten Brötchen und das beste Brot, das wir in Holland bekommen haben! Dabei waren wir in Huizen, Lisse, Muiden, Haarlem... Aber hier in Groningen hat man Qualität geschmeckt! Danke für die Arbeit und die lange Teigführung!

I adore this bakery. You have the real deal here if you love the French croissants, baguette etc. It's so delicious. They bake all day long so you always have fresh bread. Although not typically French, they make an outstanding pain au sucre (suikerbrood) too without the artificial additives to it. Much Respect for those bakers, who put their heart and passion into these delicious croissants. Sooooo perfect!!!! Thank you Broodje van eigen deeg. You always make my day!

Via social media al bekend geraakt met Broodje van eigen deeg, dus eenmaal in Groningen moesten we even langs natuurlijk. Heerlijk! De winkel zelf ruikt al fantastisch en ziet er ook heel leuk uit, echt een bakkertje. Feestje om al te mogen kiezen. Smaakte ook super.

My week isn’t complete without their almond croissants. Everything tastes as good as it looks! Must go for sure.

추천합니다! 다 맛있어요. 사진엔 없지만 브라우니도 단짠 조화가👍 다른 케잌도 그렇지만 특히 브라우니는 커피나 차나 같이 드시길 추천합니다. 맛이 진짜 진하거든요. 참고로 카드결제만 가능합니다.

Nice boulangerie in the center of Groningen...The best fresh bread (made of several ingredients and flours)...and the most cute and flavourish small cakes... The price worth it...

Al jaren kom ik hier voor mijn croissants en taartjes (andere producten nooit gehad). Het is werkelijk waar fantastisch. De amandel croissants bijvoorbeeld zijn een geschenk uit de hemel. 10/10 Voor deze bakkerij fiets ik graag een rondje om en betaal ik graag iets meer.

This bakery is in the centre of Groningen and we bought our breakfast here. Before the shop is a small bench where we sat and ate. We bought chocolate and almond croissants. They were good, but not the best we ever tasted. We had preferred more almond paste in the almond croissant and more chocolate in the chocolate croissant. You can only pay by card. I did not find the shop assistant very friendly. A smile would not go amiss!
