Nice, relaxed atmosphere with delicious food and drinks. Friendly staff. Good value for money. This was our first time here. We'll definitely be back in the future.

Whenever we're in Culemborg, we always stop by. Fantastic concept and good coffee and pastries. We even had a quick cup of coffee and cake with the witnesses on the Monday after our wedding. What should have been a lovely end to our holiday unfortunately ended in disappointment. We still had two full tickets for two free coffees. After paying, an employee followed us to another shop and asked how we got the tickets. We had to follow him and were questioned about the ticket, as he claimed it wasn't genuine. He accused us of making the ticket. He reiterated that this wasn't the case, that we had saved it, and that it really was their ticket. The fact that we still have to pay for the coffee, even if it had been 20 euros, was no problem, even if we would have gladly paid. But the false accusation and the way in which it was done, sorry, that hurts and saddens us. No more brownies and downies in Culemborg for us. 》》》》》》》》》》》》》》》》》》》》》》》》《《《《《《《《《《《《《《《《《《《《《 ADDITION: After this review and email, we received a response from the head office on Monday and an email from B&D Culemborg on Tuesday with an apology and the reason for the reaction. Today we had personal contact with them with another apology, an explanation, and a small gift! Well done and thanks for that!!! We will be back.

You can have a nice lunch here and there is a changing table near the toilets.

Plenty of delicious food. It's a shame the tables are so close together. There's not much privacy.

Nice quick tasty meal with nice staff only a pity that the air conditioning was blowing in your neck and could not be turned off... so sit somewhere else

I picked up a chicken teriyaki sandwich. The taste was good, but unfortunately the chicken was cold and the carrot was not cooked.

Super delicious brownies with good coffee and the customer is king. This terrace is wonderful on such a beautiful day. Sun and warmth, shade and coolness, something for everyone. Now you can enjoy it indoors in the crisp winter. Tip: make a reservation!

We came with 24 people for high tea. I was the driver of one of the buses and everything had been arranged in advance by the organization, I just had to pay. The table was ready and was neatly received by an employee. Then they asked what we wanted to drink, strange because a high tea normally contains coffee and tea. Then came a cup of soup that was good. Then there were dishes for 4 people on the table, on which were 4 halves of brown bread, 4 halves of a donut roll, a few pieces of Turkish bread or something, a bowl with a few small pieces of chicken, 4 very small pieces of cucumber and carrot were in the humes and a bowl of sauce and we got a croquette. We saw nothing else, so the croquette with half a sandwich was it because we saw nothing more. Now it turned out that 2 tables further there was also a bowl of carpaccio. We asked if that was it, to which the manager said, but you can still put humes on the sandwich and there will be more afterwards. Later another bowl arrived with 2 small square pieces of Brouwnie and 2 small square pieces of cake for each. In between they asked if we wanted something to drink. This was it. Then I went to pay and received a bill for more than € 750.00. I say here that a discount can certainly be given and sure enough the manager made it €615.80. I thanked him for the discount, but at home I saw on the website that a high tea costs € 25.00 pp, so I still paid too much. In the end there was a cup of soup, a croquette, 1/2 brown sandwich, half a donut roll, a piece of Tuksbrood, one very small piece of chicken, cucumber and carrot, a lick of sauce and a few slices of carpaccio, as well as 2 small pieces of cake and a brownie for everyone. Plus 2 drinks. On the site you see beautiful etagerés and much more, but we never saw them. I will never come here again and I have my doubts about how they should present this with these lovely people, who work for little or with subsidies.

It is a nice atmosphere with friendly and cheerful service.

We were very impressed with the excellent service and the wonderful food. I wish we had restaurants like this in the UK. Very well worth a visit if you are visiting the historic town of Culemborg or any other branches of the same chain throughout Holland.

We thought we would have lunch with our grandson. Everything was fine until the goat cheese salad. What a poverty for 15 euros, there is almost nothing and when I complained I was told that I should have said so after the first bite.

I think the concept is great. Service was very friendly and the atmosphere in the restaurant was very pleasant. I chose the club sandwich. The topping was really great, the chicken was marinated deliciously, there were pine nuts and parseed cheese in the salad - overall very harmonious. However, it's not a classic club sandwich. Unfortunately, points are only deducted for bread. Unfortunately it wasn't toasted and therefore a bit too doughy. The bread-topping ratio was therefore out of balance for me.

It was a delicious lunch and such great service. You will become completely zen here😇

Lekker eten en drinken, prettige bediening en fijne sfeer

Zaterdag 16 jul heerlijk geluncht met de familie. Bij Brownies en Downies Culemborg is het altijd een feestje maar nu was het ook nog eens mijn 65-jarige geboortedagfeestje 😀 Iedereen, van klein tot groot heeft genoten van de lekkere gerechten. Het was weer super!

Ondanks alle beperkingen i.v.m diverse allergieën was een high tea geen enkel probleem. Wat een goede service! En wat was het lekker en gevarieerd. Wij hebben genoten!

Lekker kopje koffie op het terras op het plein. Je moet even geduld hebben😉

Zo ontzettend gezellig hier, lieve mensen die enorm behulpzaam zijn. Het eten en drinken is lekker, mooi gepresenteerd en genoeg om vol van te zitten.

Heerlijke lunches en de appeltaart is niet te versmaden daar. Gezellig en vriendelijk!

Wat een geweldig concept is dit toch! Midden in de binnenstad op een mooi plekje aan het plein. Het was nog te koud om buiten te zitten, maar er is een mooi terras. Heerlijke koffie op en de jongens iets fris. En dan natuurlijk iets lekkers erbij. De keuze was moelijk, wij hebben een combi gedaan zodat we van 4 lekkernijen konden proeven. Lekker! De bediening was erg vriendelijk en de sfeer was gemoedelijk en gezellig. Wij komen graag nog eens terug.

Gezelligheid is hier een begrip. Je wordt snel en goed geholpen.

De producten en de bediening daar is iets op aan te merken. Ik vond het er erg donker. Het optrekken van de markiezen is misschien een oplossing.

Michelinsterren hebben ze hier niet nodig, personeel zelf zijn de sterren. We hebben genoten van heerlijke luch en vriendelijke bediening. Ondanks de drukte bleef gastvrouw het hoofd koel houden en benutte zij optimaal alle beschikbare tafeltjes. Graag tot volgende keer.
