Absolutely fantastic concept!! The combination of a fully equipped and excellent restaurant with a complete indoor playground for children is hard to find anywhere else. The service is very cheerful and attentive. In short, for parents who don't want to go to Monkey Town, this is a great alternative!!

We were looking for a place to have a cup of coffee in Culemborg and ended up here. We had a lovely cup of coffee and a slice of apple pie, which was delicious! The service was very friendly, and the place looked very clean! There's a great indoor play area for the kids, which is fantastic! Highly recommended!

We live in Culemborg and walked here specifically for the children's play area. Unfortunately, I don't think it's very suitable for young children aged 0-3. No one dared to go on the slide, and the climbing obstacles were better suited for older children. The basement where the slide ends is a dark hole with almost no light. (On purpose?) But the stuffy smell of mold quickly affects my lungs, and I get a headache shortly after. I don't think it's healthy for young children at all, and as a pregnant woman, it was also completely unpleasant. Despite the idea that it's great fun. It's a real shame, otherwise we would have loved to come here much more often. It's a nice place for young parents to get together, and it's great that it's in Culemborg.

The table service was excellent, and the food was delicious. When we asked if we could come before dinner for a drink, they made it ridiculously difficult, even though the restaurant was nearly empty. The children's play area is an unheated, very cold space with little equipment. What's there hasn't been well thought out. It's too dangerous, with a stone staircase that children can easily fall down, and the only thing older children use is the slide. The rest is too painful to walk on, and climbing over it is pointless.

Our first visit to this establishment, we take a seat on the outdoor terrace. Our order is brought by a "lady" with long, straight, blond hair. "Oh... you're taking up the entire facade," is the first thing that comes to her lips. "Good afternoon to you too... we've sat down next to each other because, as you can see," I point to the tables between the low, lounge-style chairs against the facade, "they're so high that, even sitting down, you can barely see over them if everyone sits next to one side of the table." "Just make sure you move if it gets busy." And off she went... Of course, with our professional hospitality backgrounds, we had thought of this ourselves. We immediately honored this blunt request by quickly leaving. Never to return. Choose your words carefully and smile. Condescending behavior isn't wise in expensive times, when people are making careful choices about where to spend their money. We're giving an extra star for the quality of what we ate; that wasn't the problem. In terms of service and friendliness, this employee still needs some improvement before she gets five stars, as far as we're concerned.

Streek is the most fantastic place to eat. It's cozy, super relaxed, and the staff is helpful. For us, it feels like coming home every time. The chairs are comfortable, and the food is delicious. And if you order the chef's menu, you're completely pampered. Culemborg is a lovely town with plenty of restaurants and cafes, but Streek definitely offers the best value for money!

We just went in for a beer and some light snacks on a very hot day and the hospitality was amazing and so was the food and the service, our 5 year old loved playing in the indoor playground. 10 out of 10 recommended.

Today I noticed that the waitstaff really pays attention to their guests. Service was so fast and polite, and they quickly noticed that they needed help on the terrace, offering prompt assistance without being asked. Kudos to this young lady.

Nice brasserie on the market square, large terrace, paid parking, too bad. The menu isn't really appealing—for me—little choice. Carpaccio is always good, the main course was disappointing, but the service was good and friendly.

The carpaccio salad was terrible: thick slices of meat, wrapped in a lot of fuss, and sprinkled with some kind of mold (?). But the service was charming!

We sought shelter from the rain and found it in this brasserie. We sat outside under umbrellas, enjoying a wonderful view of the small town atmosphere, including the city gate and the church bells. Blankets and pillows were provided for warmth. The service was extremely attentive and flexible regarding our special requests. Then came the food, all a feast for the eyes and palate. Accompanying the food were the juiciest fries we've ever had. These alone would be worth a visit.

Food was fine but the service was a disaster. It wasn't that full and staff walked in empty-handed while there were empty plates on several tables? The order for a second drink was forgotten and then it took forever before we got it and the food was now gone. The staff apparently also noticed because when paying, they didn't even ask if everything was OK. No tip was given and I think that was 4 years ago and I come to a catering establishment at least 3 times every week. This was just bad! Nice place to sit, but the service spoiled the atmosphere a bit, so next time I'll check with the neighbors.

The food is good and tasty, but I really don't think all those adults walking in the play area with their dirty outdoor shoes are acceptable. Children obediently take off their shoes and parents walk around dirtying everything with their dirty mud shoes. Very unhygienic, as children also walk barefoot. Celebrated my wife's birthday with a large group last night. It was a really great evening! Food really good and delicious. The service from all employees was also really great! We were with many children. Also the reason we made a reservation here. The kids really had a great time in the adjacent play hall. Highly recommended to eat here! Definitely do it. Arrived on Saturday at 12:00. Most of the negative reviews of the place, were about rude staff and not accepting cash(correctly). Also, not speaking Dutch, was prepared for the worst, but tried it anyway, since we wanted to try the playground. We were greeted politely and got a table despite it being busy. Staff was helpful and service was surprisingly fast. Food was okay, nothing amazing but not bad either. All in all, a pleasant experience!

Top location especially for children with a special menu and they can play there. Relaxing outside on the terrace is also great what we did.

You would say it would be an ideal place for eating with children... If it weren't for the fact that the menu is full of unappetizing dishes. There won't be much left. There are fungi and things like that everywhere. If you take the salmon beforehand, it fills a hollow molar. And the Angus burger didn't have much filling and the fries were way too salty. Fortunately, the children don't eat that much, so I was able to eat the poffertjes. So I won't be coming back here.

It took a long time before we could even order drinks while it was quiet and the staff was talking very loudly and paying more attention to the phone than to the customers.

The food was fine, personally I don't like pearl onions and pickles with the beef carpaccio, but that is of course a matter of taste. As for the play area, I see photos from 6 years ago and I think; that would have been fun for our three year old. I see a house, boat and a tree in photos, but they are no longer there. Currently there is actually only climbing equipment, which is fun, for children from the age of about 5. The steep stone stairs, to the end of the slide in the basement below, is really dangerous for running and playing children. The stairs have broken off a lot, and therefore, sharp steps. I saw many a mother have a small heart attack when their little offspring crawled towards these stairs that could not be closed properly. The stair gate closed poorly and was always opened by the older children who found the stairs an easier way up than the climbing option that was offered. There is also a fire hose in the play area, which you cannot keep an eye on from the brasserie. It is very nice that fire safety is taken into account, but children can also play there. The glass wall is certainly ideal if you want to eat in peace, but if your child needs you because he or she is stuck somewhere, you will not hear this.

What great people work here! And then you can also enjoy a delicious meal on the quiet terrace. Highly recommended! Staff is well informed about gluten free diets!

We went for lunch, I had a hamburger and the red wine was Barbera, a great burger and a fine red wine, cozy terrace, friendly courteous staff in picturesque Culemborg.

An attractive, beautiful and large brasserie. With a play area for children behind a glass wall, so that parents can sit quietly and keep an eye on their children. But also a nice place for a drink or dinner with friends. Or to work behind the laptop with a good cup of coffee. They have a nice menu with delicious dishes. And the personal is so friendly, accessible and pleasant. This is coming home. Highly recommended in Culemborg! I really like coming there!

Very tasty food! The diamond hare is highly recommended! Service is extremely friendly without being overkill. It was quiet and a chat with them was no problem. The spacious layout of the tables is very nice. You don't sit and look at the neighbors board. Absolutely recommended!

Not recommended at all after several unfriendly behavior from the employees!! They can take a NON-DISCRIMINATION course. Especially the host who works there and always treats people with dark hair and dark eyes with contempt. But, if you still want to go, with your darker shade or accent of Dutch, and it's okay that you: 1. Your table is LITERALLY MOVED AWAY because a more important customer - with a reservation for dinner - has priority over you because they do take alcohol, etc. Etc. In short, making more money than you make; 2. Have to beg for attention from the waiters; 3. When ordering only fries is prohibited and you may only choose in combination with another option; (Without taking into account people with stomach reduction or other health reasons) 4. A very nice location with good food. Take allergies into account. Was with a large group. Serving the food took a long time, but it was all on the table at the same time! Spacious and beautiful building inside. You don't expect there to be an indoor play paradise at the back. Owner comes out of the kitchen himself to open the door for a wheelchair user, great class. Beautifully decorated venue, great playground in the back that's suitable for older kids, note: somewhat unsafe for smaller ones on their own (especially the unattended stone staircase with high steps). Food was OK. The staff service was flaky (a few ordered items were forgotten) and we didn't feel very welcomed as the older man lectured us about being messy (fair enough but well, with 4 kids that's what happens!) and we were nudged to leave the restaurant as soon as we were done with our meal. All in all we had a great time there catching up with friends but probably we won't be back.

Geweldig als je met kids gaat eten

Sfeervol restaurant, vriendelijke bediening en heerlijk eten. Honden zijn toegestaan en voor kinderen zeer grote overzichtelijke speelruimte. Vanuit het restaurant kun je de kinderen in de gaten houden.

Bij binnenkomst was het niet duidelijk of we moesten wachten of naar de tafel mochten gaan waar ons gezelschap al zat. Meteen maar even de luier gedaan van de jongste, een goede degelijke verschoontafel in de rolstoeltoilet (niet bij man/vrouw toilet!). Er lagen al doekjes en zelfs zoogcompressen, fijn hoor! Maar de fles schoonmaken kan alleen met héél koud water... Terwijl de kraan wél een warme stand heeft. Het speeltuintje is leuk voor kinderen vanaf de basisschoolleeftijd, we hadden jongere kinderen mee dus die waren moeilijk te vermaken. Terwijl er nog ruimte genoeg over was voor een peuter glijbaantje of schommeltje met babystoeltje. Er is een kast met spelletjes, maar ook pas voor kinderen van 6+. De muziek stond wat aan de harde kant. De kinderstoelen van hout zijn voor peuters, er is in het hele restaurant maar één stoel (Ikea) voor een dreumes. Te weinig, mijns inziens. De menukaart is leuk opgezet, maar als je de prijzen ziet verwacht je daarvoor toch een grotere portie dan je krijgt opgediend.

Heerlijk eten, gezellige, goede bediening

We hebben geborreld met bites van het menu. Gekozen voor de “Aziatische plank” voor 2 was erg lekker en vriendelijke bediening, aanrader.

Brasserie STREEK is een toprestaurant! Met vier personen een heerlijke avond gehad met heerlijke gerechten. Ikzelf heb gekozen voor het verrassingsmenu van de chef - kok met als hoofdmoot vis. Welnu, daar hoefde ik geen spijt van te hebben. Een gevarieerde driegangenmenu met mooie krokante frietjes erbij. Min vrouw eet glutenvrij. Daar is veel aandacht aan besteed. De bediening was kundig, attent en vriendelijk. De wachttijden tussen de gangen door niet al te lang. Het was allemaal perfect getimed. We komen zeker terug. Daarbij doen we ook een rondje Culemborg, want dat is een sfeervol stadje.

Lekker op het terras van onze lunch genoten. Lekker eten. Prima en vriendelijke bediening.
