We had a delicious meal, and the service was friendly and cheerful and efficient. We'd love to come back.

We went here for dinner with a group of 30 people. We had informed them of our dietary requirements beforehand. They even politely asked about them at the table. And then nothing was done about it >_< The same food was served to everyone... Even when I informed a staff member, I was told that the chef thought it met my dietary requirements... That's why I left my food untouched, which is a shame since I paid for it. If you have a dietary requirement, I wouldn't eat here. If you don't have one... well, I have no idea... I literally couldn't eat anything. Thanks for this terrible experience (Y)

Perhaps I am privileged because our daughter is allowed to work there, but I am always very happy when we come here for a drink or a meal, always enthusiastic.

I only had coffee. It was the only cafe in the Netherlands that served coffee with water and a little sweet.

The deluxe Uitsmijter was a pleasant surprise. Good bread and vegetables. I just couldn't find the Old Amsterdam. The coffee is delicious, by the way. Tip for the staff: please put a salt and pepper shaker on the table.

Came here for lunch a while back with a friend and found our experience to be quite pleasant. We both ordered a carpaccio sandwich with two teas. The place is tightly packed, yet just enough space for it not to be bothersome. When we walked in we got seated promptly and browsed the menu. The menu has a wide range of items you can order for lunch and plenty of drink options available too. Service is actually really kind and surprisingly quick for the sheer busyness of this business. We ordered within a few minutes of sitting down, our drinks didn't take too long and our food was prepared and served within 20min in lunch- rush hour. The sandwich might have been a bit too much bread, since we did notice everyone eating one side of the sandwich and leaving the other (top) half of it. Yet none of this impacted the flavour and quality of the sandwich. We had a good lunch experience here and would recommend this Brownies&Downies to anyone who fancies a good lunch. PS: This establishment doesn't take reservations, walk-ins only.

As always, super delicious and great service. I think they're the best brownies around, and they're doing a good job. In every town where there's a Brownies&downieS café, I have to eat a brownie and a coffee. Super delicious and I'll be back any time.

We tried the brownie with M&M’s and the one with white chocolate, both tasted quite nice. I found the concept truly heartwarming and it gives the place a unique atmosphere. They also have a food menu, but we only came for a coffee break, which was a lovely choice.

We enjoyed a pleasant meal with a large group of colleagues for a farewell party in a relaxed atmosphere. The managers gave us a warm welcome, and the staff showed great interest in welcoming and departing guests. The food we had pre-arranged was excellent, making it a great choice for hosting a party. Due to some unfamiliarity with serving a large group, the staff and interns were well-informed. Brownies&downieS is highly recommended.

Our second cafe in the chain, and once again, the concept deserves praise. We received very friendly service, and the brownies are divine! No matter where or in which city, we would go back to Brownies & downieS anytime!

Es ist schön zu erleben, wie Teilhabe auch umgesetzt werden kann! Wir wurden von dem netten jungen Mann freundlich empfangen und unsere Getränkebestellung war überraschend schnell am Tisch. Das Restaurant liegt sehr zentral und verfügt über eine Außenterasse. Unser beider Mittagessen war sehr liebevoll angerichtet und schmeckte ganz klasse! Der Cappu und auch der Apfelkuchen sind ebenfalls zu empfehlen. Vielen Dank.

Had lunch a few times now, delicious (and also special) sandwiches and salads. And of course a "blondie" to take home... Enthusiastic employees, always with a smile. Also very suitable for our son, because he can eat a delicious gluten-free sandwich here. Top!

Unfortunately had a bad experience. I walked in and everything was full. Coincidentally, people were just leaving a 4-person table so I sat there. Someone immediately came to me to tell me that this table was intended for several people. So I wasn't allowed to sit there and she referred me to the back where there was room for 1 person. I said I didn't want that because I wanted to sit in the front. The boss came and told me that I could sit at the 4-person table, but that I might have to sit somewhere else if several people came in. Coincidentally, a smaller table just became available next to the 4-person table, so I sat there. Just in time because I already wanted to leave. The waitress immediately placed a reserved ticket on the 4-person table, even though it was not reserved. When several people came in, they were able to sit there and the sign was removed again. I understand that they prefer 4 people to someone alone, but I found this very strange and unfriendly. So if you are alone you are not welcome there. Unless it's not busy, then they'd love to see you come! This way you are brought face to face with the facts. At other catering establishments I can always sit wherever I want. I used to go to Brownies and Downies regularly, but not anymore. I found this not customer friendly and very inhospitable.

went here with my down syndrome daughter. i had thought she would have a great time but i was wrong. service was LITERALLY retarted! food was good but i could tell i left with a bit of downie with me. if you want to hear people moaning and screaming with stupidity have fun. never coming back thank god for doordash

I had the best brownies ever here! The service is super nice and takes time for you. It can be a bit crowded at times as the cafe is very popular. Every time I'm in Zwolle it's a must visit!

We had a delicious meal again, despite the fact that a dish had arrived on someone else's table and therefore took longer than the other dish that was already with us & the smoothie had not arrived either. However, they resolved this very well, and we were offered 2 smoothies on the house and some delicacies to take home. All in all, we are still very satisfied, just like always when we come here!

This was our first visit as we are here on holiday. We had 2 cappuccinos and 1 kids latte. All of our drinks were lovely we thoroughly enjoyed them. The service was great, the staff were friendly and welcoming. We definitely recommend!

My sister and I visit Brownis and Downis throughout the Netherlands, and it is great fun, but in Zwolle, the relationship between Downis and non-Downis is missing, I come for the food and the Downis, but if the Downis are almost absent I can might as well go to a regular restaurant

Had a lovely lunch today. Nice staff and good/fun guidance. Familiar with the concept, but this is a really nice team. Nice to see how they do together. From carefully taking the plates and glasses of tea to the table, to clearing and cleaning the table. Giving compliments, pointing out something that still needs to be done and having a nice chat at the bar. Nice!

Everything is great and an excellent example of inclusion. If you are a tourist, keep in mind that young people in the process of professional inclusion will probably not speak English. Strive to be empathetic 😉
