Breakfast at Nate = heaven. Friendly service, superb coffee, tasty, well-plated, and generous food portions, all in a chic yet simple corner location. Loved it. Went twice.

You feel comfortable and welcome here. Super friendly service, delicious food and a fine selection of drinks. Very cosy and lively atmosphere. I'd love to come back. However, there is only a very small menu.

Everything was excellent. The only negative comments mention the price, but price should never be a factor in rating a restaurant. The prices are average for the location and area. The food was spectacular—the best shakshuka I've ever had! I'll be back.

I stumbled upon this place, but it's instantly gone on my favorites list. Nate's special with the avocado: everything was just right and balanced. I was worried about the cilantro (not a fan), but even that paired well. My table companion's shakshuka was also finished to the last scoop. Delicious. Great atmosphere and not too expensive!

Had lunch here yesterday. There was way too much lemon in the avocado sandwich. Not good.

Nate was such a delight. The drinks were good. The banana bread was fantastic (didn’t even get a photo). And the staff was warm and friendly.

During the day, you might easily pass it by: Bar Nate, a small establishment in Amsterdam. But once inside, you discover a world that's anything but ordinary. Sleek, warm, and with a cocktail menu that'll seduce you faster than your Tinder date. The bartender pours with a smile that says, "One more wouldn't hurt"... and yes, before you know it, you've gone three rounds. The guests? A diverse group: from the quiet neighbor who happens to drop by, to the tourist who discovers here that a gin and tonic can also be a religious experience. As Jambers would say: "During the day, a regular bar... but at night, a place where you wonder if you even want to go home."

Yesterday a man charged me jist short of €7 for a large oat latte, which was made by an instant coffee machine that he input the Americano choice, like the machines that they have in petrol stations. So, obviously it was awful. Would not recommend this place.

Absolutely brilliant tiny cafe. The food was delicious and the vibes were impeccable. I love the pride flag out the front and the design of the cafe was the cutest! Staff were absolutely lovely too.

This is the loveliest, friendliest establishment. The owners are charming and will gladly offer a smile, a helpful suggestion. dog friendly and has indoor and outdoor seating. Great music and great drinks and food! If you are looking for a comfortable fun queer space to enjoy a coffee or avocado toast or a delicious Dark & Stormy come hang out at Nate!

I was lucky enough to happen on this place on the day they were launching their new menu and tried the mushroom ragu which was so tasty! The staff were friendly and helpful, Lucas gave me some very nice recommendations for things to see and do in Amsterdam. I’ll be back tomorrow to try more of their menu!

Very cozy welcoming cafe with actual good coffee and food! Lucas is amazing, from the moment you walk in, he is welcoming, friendly, and attentive. He made sure everyone was comfortable and offers helpful honest recommendation, definitely will come back!

I consider this place into my top 10 coffee and beer spots in my life. I sat in the inside area in a sunny day of June. The design is minimal with colorful and heavy details to relax your eyes onto. The windows are overlooking a very vivid and interesting part of the the neighborhood. Enter the toilet is a time travel. Tony in the bar was very friendly and we even spoke casually about stuff. The coffee and beer were not something special, which could be improved and make the visit even more memorable.

The coffee was great, but the service was even better. I forgot my bag, as I was kinda in a hurry. The bartender ran across the street to give it back to me. Will definitely come back 💜 P.S. Looks and feels very cozy after the renovation :)

Nice restaurant Very chill atmosphere

On a sunny day my wife and found a spot on the patio near the canal, ordered a coffee, and turned our faces to the warmth. Our coffee was brought to us by a man named Nathan. His smile stronger than the coffee and warmer than the sun. I'll go back for such an idyllic setting and service. (The coffee was very good as well)

As the others have mentioned, it's a cozy, lovely corner not far from the city center of Amsterdam located nearby the canal. The bartender was very welcoming and the selection of wines per glass was very acceptable. Definitely an inclusive place too.

I expected a lot given the good reviews, but unfortunately I was disappointed. I We had grilled chicken on bread and the chicken had black burnt bits and barely tasted of anything. The bread also came off the grill and was burnt on the bottom. In retrospect we should have said something about it, but at that moment we chose to eat it. The service was excellent and so was the atmosphere. Small but nice tent in that regard.

1 star for the food because there was nothing available. Upon arrival, we were told that the kitchen was closed and that the fries could be turned on, but that took at least another half hour. Shame!

Thank you for your response... you say that preferences can differ and that is true... this means that you fully support the sandwich... even though it is artisan bread, it was just a thin slice of bread and just incredibly sour!!! You haven't tasted it yourself. It's a pity that you apparently see my preference as an exception...For your perception, I am a chef myself. Anyone who tasted this would characterize it as far too sour. It's nice that you admit that the cappuccinos were too meager... but for automatic coffee this should be easy to set. By the way, I was just wrong...we had to pay 38.70 instead of 29 euros. Charming and fresh place...only the food was very disappointing. Sour sandwich with tapenade and chicken... cappuccino cups not filled to the brim... the avocado was not ripe... I told the girl at the counter but she tried to get rid of it by turning them upside down at another branch. give. To the owner; Please train your staff a little better. We paid 38.70 euros for 2 cappus and 2 sandwiches and you can expect something good.

Nate is a great host. The food is great and affordable, the wines well selected and the cocktails pretty special. Especially the Espresso Martinis.

This place sucks, i have never been inside but was told by the secrurity guards from the Coffeeshop im not allowed to put my bag there for a seond. pft!

Nieuw management. De hele plek heeft een make-over gekregen en ik hoor dat dit pas het begin is. Het eten vonden wij heerlijk. Ook genoten van cocktails en een lekkere pinot Grigio. Wij hebben dus heerlijk gegeten en genoten van de gastvrijheid van eigenaar Nate.

I rarely give 5 stars. Everything was perfect. Amazing food! Perfect proportions, fresh and reasonable price. Service was super friendly. LGBTQ supportive. Atmosphere and even the plates decorative. Loved it.

Pequeño pero luminoso y aireado café con súper café, servicio amable y buena comida. Mi esposa y yo tuvimos el día especial, shakshuka para el desayuno con un par de capuchinos cada uno. El shakshuka era muy, muy bueno y el café maravilloso. Lugar práctico para un bocado / café cuando visite los museos cercanos.

A very good breakfast, the orange juice was freshly squeezed and very tasty. The grilled sandwich with ham and cheese was very tasty. The large continantal breakfast was very large and included a portion of scrambled eggs ham cheese toast and a croissant. The two of us paid 32 euros. An acceptable price for this breakfast

Excellent place for any time of the day. We had breakfast and snacks here more than once during our visit to Amsterdam. The place is very pleasant and everyone who serves is super attentive, polite and good-natured. The food is delicious and the price is acceptable.

Al llegar a Amsterdam, yo y la familia estábamos buscando un lugar para un brunch rápido pero agradable. Pedí la ensalada de pollo, y fue la mejor decisión que he tomado. El pollo tirado era tan delicioso y las verduras eran extremadamente frescas. (Puede haber sido la mejor ensalada que he probado) El café con leche servido también fue excepcional. El ambiente era tranquilo, pero era colorido y acogedor!

This place was recommended by my hotel. I went twice for breakfast. Had the continental breakfast. Wonderful taste and quality. Fresh orange juice, excellent croissant (take it from a French guy), and the little vinegar sauce on top of the salad and tomatoes was super flavouring. Definitely my go to place in the future for breakfast! They even have a boozy option for those weekend brunch ;) Smooth ambiance as well and great smiling service. All.of that for a decent price for a breakfast of that quality!

We go to Amsterdam once a year and our ritual is to come and have brunch at Brug34! The brunch is perfect, very good pancakes, great coffee, attentive service and who speaks French so it’s perfect! Nice location too. Thank you !
