Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the pancakes. And my son really didn't like them. But the service isn't bad. Only if you don't like them, you don't get anything in return. They do that at other places. Everything is indeed in small portions. Not for us anymore.

They are soooo slow. Instead of ordering French toast here, you could visit France and have the most delicious ones there faster!

Ate here with the kids today. The food was great. Portions weren't huge (a bit pricey, but worth it), but enough to fill your stomach. We had the egg benedict steak, pancakes with strawberries and chocolate, and the French toast. It was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was average, but the service was good and very attentive. The kids also enjoyed the food.

The food was simply good; the classics were beautifully executed, and the portions were perfect. The service was excellent, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We would absolutely return!

Delicious mango coconut juice and something else. The cookie was well made, but I'd rather have something else next time. That's because I found it quite hard, but that's just me. The cookie was fine. Nothing wrong with it. But not to taste. The juice was nice and cold. Especially in that hot weather a delicious addition. After ordering it was ready and inside immediately. Didn't wait long. The staff was friendly and attentive. Very helpful.

What a disappointment to end our weekend in Rotterdam with a lunch where we received no service at all. When we entered, we didn't even get a "good morning" - the first question was immediately: "Do you have a reservation?" Luckily I did, because my daughter was really looking forward to the French toast. We sat down, waited patiently... and were completely ignored. No menu, no question if we wanted something to drink - nothing at all. After walking past several times without eye contact or attention, we saw someone come in after us who was helped immediately. But then again, we were the only colored family in the store - so maybe we were just hard to see. Transparency seems to be a side effect of melanin apparently? We got up and left. No service, no welcome, no thanks. Just silence. Thanks for absolutely nothing for 20 minutes.

Good location, good coffee and the food is great! It was very busy when I was there and I had to wait a while for my order to be taken. But after the waitress took my order, it didn't take long for my food to arrive. The pancakes with blueberries were above my expectations. Well baked pancakes and definitely not ready-made quality. Staff was very friendly. I will definitely come back!

Brunch Bar Rotterdam Sometimes you have mornings that just turn into a mini-party. Such a day started at the Brunch Bar in Rotterdam, together with a friend… We were just going to have brunch, but we were quickly tempted by the champagne brunch. And honestly? No regrets. 🍾😉 Fresh orange juice, bubbles, warm French toast with maple syrup, croissants that were deliciously crispy and silky brioche with smoked salmon, everything taken care of down to the last detail and so delicious. A small detail: as seasonal fruit with the French toast we got stewed pears, which we would expect more at a winter brunch than in spring. Raspberries, blueberries or blackberries might have been more appropriate here. Minor detail, we were automatically addressed in English, without first checking whether that was desired. Not a big problem, but personally I always find it a bit strange and pleasant when that is asked. That said: the coziness, the food and the service more than make up for it. Definitely recommended for a relaxed, tasty brunch in Rotterdam. 🥂

Too many tables, overcrowded space, too noisy in a small room, food is nice but the service is on a low level for Netherlands. Dirty cups forks and papers for the whole time on our table before food arrived.

At first glance, the bar looks rather inconspicuous - but we were absolutely pleasantly surprised! The lunch was delicious, freshly prepared and cooked with a lot of love. You can tell that they pay attention to quality here. A real little gem that you wouldn't expect from the outside. We would love to come back if we are in the area.

The sweet potato fries with truffle sauce are very good, the rest is not incredible, the products used do not seem to be of very good quality

We ordered Crispy Chicken Burger and Egg Benedict with Ham & Cheese, alongside with a matcha latte & crème brûlée cappuccino. In general we would say it was not a good experience. It was 2 pm and not busy at all, only 3-4 tables outside including us and 1 table inside and we saw 3 workers. However, we had to wait 30-40 minutes for the food. For the Egg Benedict with ham and cheese, everything on the plate was cold. We told the waitress that the food was cold, and she just took the dish away without saying anything. Another waitress came back with another plate, the food was still cold but we just ate it anyways because we didn't want to cause any more troubles. The poached egg was overcooked, the bacon was soft and not crispy at all like the waitress told us, cheese was hard. Maybe it was just our preference but we expected the cheese should have been at least melted a bit, not cold and hard like that. For the Crispy Chicken Burger, you could tell everything was store-bought stuff just by the look and it also tasted so but it was not that bad except for the cheese. Overall we think it was a bad experience because the service was pretty rude when we told them about the food which was cold. We even tried to reach out to another waitress that was walking by, that we didn't want the Egg Benedict anymore, but she showed such a rude attitude and in the end the Egg Benedict was brought to us, so we just ate it and didn't want to cause any more discomfort for them. We wouldn't say we wouldn't recommend this place, but we expected our experience should not have been that bad and we hope the restaurant should take our feedbacks into account, especially for the service.

The food is good but pricey for the portion size. It's very cramped inside, with tables placed close together, and the noise level is very loud. The staff is very friendly, though. We paid €30 per person for brunch, and we weren't full.

It's not a very large establishment, so reservations are essential. Friendly staff. Can be noisy.

Terrible service, we waited for one hour

My son received high tea this afternoon. Too bad... for my son that was the disappointment; He had made a reservation for 1 high tea that was for 2 people. His discount card was for 50%, so you think that's half. But still the 2nd press had to pay the full price for 27.50 and then the 13.50. The high tea was also not worth that amount, there was really very little on it. The snacks on it were 2 crossants, 1 double flange with some pecan nuts on top and 6 small snacks. So it is not recommended. We really won't be going there anymore. After a lot of talking I got a 25% discount on the 27.50. Snacks were tasty, but very little for this amount. Hope they do something about this. Gr mother of a sweet son

Found via Instagram. The restaurant was much smaller than I thought it would be. The tables are close together, so you can easily eavesdrop on your neighbours. If you arrive during the lunch rush (from 11.30 to 13.00), I would recommend making a reservation. I ordered the crème brûlée cappuccino. It did not look as pretty as on Instagram. It was quite sticky - like toasted marshmallows. And, I am sure a regular cappuccino would taste better. My friend ordered the pancakes. It was supposed to be served with “lemon pastry and crumble”, instead it was served with semolina (“griesmeel”). I ordered the crispy chicken burger with sweet potato fries. The food was freshly prepared. It arrived hot. The chicken was crispy. The sweet potato fries were a little soft. The brioche was a bit dry. Overall, the dish lacked flavour. Service was good, but the food and beverages were average, so we will not be coming back.

Probably the quality of the ingredients was fine but the execution was terrible: tons of hollandaise sauce that turned everything into mush. Steak was cold and kinda raw (I expected to be asked the level of cooking I wanted), eggs were poached in a mould and weren’t cooked enough, asparagus were cold and tasteless… overall a mess. Waiter was pleasant. Vibe awful, loud, lack of proper sound insulation and very small tables… focused on quantity over quality. Also felt sick afterwards, probably due to the mix of raw ingredients and the giant amount of hollandaise sauce. Quite disappointed, 30 euro wasted.

We hosted a baby shower here and brought a lot of decorations for the smaller Brunch Bar. Benthe was incredibly helpful, and we were given plenty of freedom to decorate! The food was delicious and the service was top-notch. Highly recommended!

Today, I had the pleasure of visiting the Brunch Bar Rotterdam. This cozy spot is perfect for enjoying coffee, breakfast, or lunch. The ambiance is perfect, but what truly sets it apart is the i kind staff who took such great care of me. All in all, very satisfied!

The menu is magnificent, the dishes are generally good, but unfortunately the service was disastrous. We waited 45 minutes for drinks and over an hour and a quarter for our food. The manager was still receptive, offering drinks and two croissants, but it didn't make up for the lost time. We didn't enjoy our meal and didn't return.

It was delicious 😋. Perfect for breakfast and brunch, and there's something for everyone. The prices are completely reasonable, and the spot and style of the restaurant are really cute. When the weather is bad, there's not much space inside, but it's very cozy. The service is really friendly and well-organized, considering they've only been open for six months. We ate there on January 1st, and it was completely full. They've never had such a rush before, so it took a while for the food to arrive. The sweets were really good, as were the fries, but the burger could have been a bit crispier, as could the beef, which was a bit too lukewarm. Otherwise, everything was perfect.👌🏽

Had a baby shower here with 14 people for my best friend who doesn't like high teas so super nice that they organize a champagne/baby shower party (obviously not for pregnant women). It really is just a little bit different than usual. Everything was neatly arranged by email with Bente and on the day itself it was also really great. 100% recommended to have your baby shower here!

The food was tasty, not super special. Thought it was super small and super expensive for what you got, you weren't full afterwards. Atmosphere was especially busy and cramped. I won't be there anymore.

The overpriced food was a large disappointment. Food (including steak) was served unexplainably cold. Poached egg and asparagus were also cold. Bread unimpressive and somewhat sweet, which did not combine well with the dish in combination with a poor mayonese. Avocado in other dish was old and black, did not seem fresh. Unclear if food has been cooked at the moment or even re-heated at all. Enquiring with the waitress, after some deliberation with another person, I was asked if I could be offered a coffee which I have refused. In aftermath, I shall have gave back the dishes and refuse to pay a bill of 50+ euros. Service was OK and kind enough, but food experience quite unforgivable. Seems like kitchen was understuffed as well, at least when we came in.

My friends surprised me to have my bachelorette brunch here on a Sunday morning. We were a group of 16 people and they had communicated our reservation in advance with the request for decoration. This is something they promote themselves on their website! We arrived at the agreed time and she informed us that our table was not ready yet. We waited 20 minutes, then we came in and again no preparation had been made. Tables still had to be pushed together, nothing was covered. It honestly took more than 60 minutes to pour the first drink. We had the formula for champagne breakfast with some non alcoholic ones. These were not in stock.. they searched the cellar for a long time (30 minutes!!) for these bottles. In vain... unfortunately the manager did not see that this might need to be compensated. The service was non-existent, it seemed like they had given up on our table. They absolutely didn't look back at our table... Unfortunately, it could have been a nice end to my unforgettable bachelorette weekend. I hope others don't have to go through this..

We ordered the champagne brunch. This was new on the menu. Apparently that also means that they don't know how to make it. After 1.5 hours we only received half of the food. The owner then decided to give a meager 5 euro discount on a bill of 70 euros. If you indicate that a person has a gluten allergy, they will go completely crazy and they will no longer know what to do. For 30 euros per person you receive a total of half a French toast, 1 small gluten-free roll and an Acai bowl that we did not order. After clearly expressing our dissatisfaction, we were offered to give 1 of the 2 croissants that belonged to the champagne brunch and for which we had already been waiting half an hour. However, we were not confident that this croissant would be baked before closing time. Save yourself half a Saturday and choose another brunch place. EDIT after response Brunch Bar Rotterdam: Annoying to read that there was also a miscommunication between the staff/kitchen/manager. To replace the croissant, it was indeed suggested that we take an Acai bowl, but we quickly indicated that this was not preferable. As a surprise, we discussed a gluten-free sandwich with an egg and avocado. When an Acai bowl was brought, we immediately alerted the waitress. When you say that - except for the croissant - all other parts of the champagne brunch menu have been delivered, you are missing the point. The champagne brunch was ordered for 2 people, 1 of whom eats gluten-free. As you indicate, this includes 3 ingredients: French toast, croissant and brioche with salmon. We received 3 plates with 1 French toast, 1 acai bowl and 1 small gluten-free sandwich split with one part avocado and one part salmon. So missing: 1 croissant and the brioche with salmon (non-gluten-free). As you indicate, you have many gluten-free options. So the argument that switching to gluten-free options has led to delays is moot. Also inimitable is the discount of only 5 euros (which partly led to the surprise of the waitress) followed by an evasive answer to my review in which again no responsibility was taken for this bad experience.

Amazing and cool spot for brunch! We had eggs benedict and avocado sandwich and coffee. Both highly recommend. The service here was also very good.

Had a nice breakfast alone at this place. Got the egg Benedict classic and a cappuccino. The coffee was lovey, as well as the food. The staff was very friendly and the food got delivered quickly. The place filled up quickly after 10, and seemed to be very popular due to the fact some tables were already reserved. Would recommend this place to someone who’s willing to spend a bit of money on a fancy breakfast with a lot of drink options.

Good place to eat, the menu is appetizing and the dishes are well done and generous. The only downside is the wait and the service (1 hour for 4 dishes live). The service could become more efficient with less unwanted movement and more organization I think (for example straightening a table in one go instead of 4 passes). Good drinks and good cocktails. Also watch out for the hair on the plates 😉

Very nice place with nice terrace in good weather. Toast with delicious salmon eggs benedict. Divine matcha latte. The croissant is delicious. Champagne brunch for €30 per person. Varied menu. Everything was delicious but service a little slow. This won't stop us from going back.

Klein smal zaakje en buiten een relatief groot terras. Gezellige warme inrichting. De bediende dames werken hard en zijn heel vriendelijk. Goede koffie en lekkere verse sinaasappelsap. Kwaliteit van het eten is goed en ook de smaak is erg lekker. Helaas is de akoestiek in deze smalle zaak niet helemaal op orde. Als er meerdere mensen/groepjes ( op een normaal geluidsniveau) aan het praten zijn, dan is het erg lastig om elkaar te verstaan. Een relatief kleine investering in bijv. akoestische panelen zou daar een positieve verandering in kunnen betekenen. Lijkt me ook fijn voor het personeel zelf. Voor de rest enkel positief en we komen hier in de toekomst graag nog eens lunchen of brunchen.

This is an instagram place with only the looks. We waited so long for everything... to order, to have a clean table and to receive the food. The gyosa was a average to tasteless, the tuna tataki is a "lunch", but they serve it with a single thin slice of hard toasted bread and the taste was average (fish was good). How can you serve a single thin slice of toast in a lunch dish? That was a really bad experience and foe the price you pay, you expect a faster service and a better an mkre food... instagram trap. Bleh

Here’s the thing. It doesn’t matter how good the food is because 45 minutes after you ordered, you’re hangry. And the food, well it’s fine nothing great…but I’m hangry at this point so not a totally reliable judge. ;-)

Enjoy a delicious brunch in the sun on this cozy and beautiful terrace. Nice atmosphere, lovely staff and delicious food. Eggs benedict with green asparagus and steak, highly recommended!! But the French toast with fresh fruit was also DELICIOUS. We will definitely come back :)
