The staff were very friendly. The burgers were delicious, and you could remove ingredients without being charged extra. Although the physical menu was in English, there was a screen inside where you could see the menu in Spanish.

Really enjoyed my meal! I ordered the chicken bites with fries ‘n bacon/ cheese, and everything was fresh and tasty. The only downside was the chimichurri sauce, which was a bit too spicy for my taste. Overall, great food and the service was ok.

The burger was ok. But the fries was really too salty and more than half is not edible, terrible quality and it’s looks like leftover food from other previous guests!

Near Westerpark, we had delicious, flavorful halloumi burgers. Impeccable fries. Vegan chicken bites, all for a ridiculously low price and with a friendly cook/server. Highly recommended!

The food isn't fresh except SOMETIMES the burgers. And if they don't feel like it, they skip the preparation, step over their toes, their bread is moldy too, and the service is deteriorating. DON'T GO THERE

It was always great there in the beginning. Once it changed owners and the burger last time wasn't tasty at all anymore, a bit of a shame. But now I thought, I'm going to get some loaded fries. They refuse to accept cash, even though it is definitely legal tender. How stupid can you be not wanting to earn money? So I'm never coming here again, what a lousy place!!

Food, service and atmosphere was spot on. Highly recommend if you're hungry. Both male and female staff (sorry I didn't remember the names) that served me close to closing on 10/June/26 were both brilliant. Thank you for accommodating my requests and providing tasty food. All the food was halal which made it even better.

Saturday 30 may 2025 night. The quality and quantity is getting worse here. Everything is getting ultra spicy, so it's impossible to feel other taste.

Great food, but your drink selection only includes brands on the BDS list—we can't buy them due to our morals and solidarity with Palestine. Adding Palestine, Gaza, or Salam products or any products that doesn’t support the apartheid state would be amazing. Also, please add a tip option to the self-ordering machine so we can tip for the amazing food even when we don't have cash.

Met with a service without a smile. no eye contact, no one to greet us when we walked in. Just like they don't want any guests inside. The food is just okay..don't have any high expectations.

Had a delicious meal; I had the opportunity to order the chicken burger. I really enjoyed the bun. I also got to try the loaded fries, though they tasted a bit like buttocks. A shame, but luckily the bun made up for it. Additionally, you have delicious sauces.

I came in at 10:40 PM to order a burger, but the lady said it was closed, even though the website says you close at 11:00 PM. Then she said, "Yes, that's what it says on the website, but actually it's earlier."

Two times in a row I’ve come in to place an order and have been turned away as supposedly the café is “closed” due to being too busy? (when I asked the wait time was 20 minutes, which is an absolutely standard. By a lady who simply couldn’t give someone the time of day, rude and arrogant. By the way, this is a standard wait time for food, for a restaurant). So I decided tonight I would order online so I can then pick up, I arrived at the café to find that it’s closed. No information was provided online. Even Google thinks they are open and to top it all off. I placed my order online paid for it and there was no information regarding the restaurant being closed tonight for orders. Simple mistakes made by people who simply don’t seem to care.

They close at 11 p.m. I went in at 10:15 p.m. and wasn't allowed to order, so they told me we were closing. The owner sent me a message.

Never order from here, it's incredibly poorly organized. It's utterly amateurish. I see all the burgers ready, burnt, and incredibly burnt. They really don't know how to do it properly.

I ordered food twice through Thuisbezorgd, and both times the fries were missing and both were cold. It was tasty, but ordering was a complete failure.

The chicken had no real flavor, it was mostly just breading. The fries were way too long in the oil; some were oily and others rock hard, so we couldn't even eat them. Everything was too oily. One employee was on her phone and wasn't paying attention, and the other was in the back. You could tell they didn't want to work. Nobody in the restaurant left the table messy and they were all on their phones with their feet up on chairs. That's just unacceptable. Very disappointing for the price. You don't really feel full and you end up feeling fat. Here's a photo of what the fries looked like. We left everything else.

After along search I found the burger I was looking for chimichurri is my advice for those who loves spicy food. Great restaurants and a great chef

I placed an order for 6 people, and I know that when you place a large order it usually takes a long time. Once I finally received the order, the boxes weren't checked, and they aren't listed randomly, so we had to search for what was what, and unfortunately, the burgers weren't warm anymore either.

Did 2 burgers and fries for a takeaway today about 3pm for late lunch. Ordering was a pleasure, worker (guy), was super friendly and nice. Everything was cooked super fast too. But the best part were the burgers - super tasty, maybe one of the best burgers there are in the neighborhood! I took them chimmichuri one - recommending would you like smth more spicy. Fries small - would be enough too. I took medium, and it was quite a huge portion.

I placed an order and I did not receive it. 13 hours have passed not even an apology. Strongly not recommended eatery, unreliable.

Just been here. Ordered a beef burger, but the beef wasn't cooked properly. It happens, of course, but after pointing this out, the lady cooking it disagreed (it was clear the burger wasn't cooked properly). She said this burger should be cooked that way. Well, I'm pretty sure this burger isn't supposed to be that way. Then, with a nasty look on her face, they offered me a new burger. I opted for the crispy chicken. And then they rudely asked, "Do you think this is cooked properly????" The staff is awful.

Canceling an order isn't a problem. But it is if you wait 30 minutes before canceling!

Pulled beef brisket fries is a must have! Delicious. Burgers - spicy one not so good. Original school one was great. Would recommend.

Been sick for 2 days from eating at this place

Yesterday we had to wait 45 minutes for our food. And it wasn't because it was busy. The ladies in the kitchen had no idea what they were doing. All the orders were mixed up, so they forgot half of them and the order was wrong. When we asked where our food was, the only answer we got was that they couldn't do anything about it. NEVER AGAIN

Ordered food on Thuisbezorg.nl. The food took a long time to make and showed up 40 minutes later than expected to, which was not the delivery man’s fault. We ordered burgers which were fine although one of them had hot sauce in it for some reason. We ordered regular fries and it came with bacon and peanut sauce mushed in it. Also the small fries didn’t even come with what we ordered. Do not recommend that you order from them.

Normally my go 2 place for a hallal burger but last visit there was nothing “hallal” about this place! The cashier guy was totally drugged out! To the extreme he was staring or had his eyes closed while barely communicating! There was another guy there to step in but what the hell?! If i was the owner/ co-worker and didnt have staff then just close the place for the day in stead of having this drugged out filthy guy behind the counter that ruined this place/reputation! I walked away and end up not ordering i do not trust them with my food anymore, they used to have nice staff (young boys/girls) working there such a loss.

This was really a disappointment The hot dog tasted like a cheap sausage for a much too high price. Not all the fries were warm and the milkshake was really watery. In addition to this, someone (I think the owner or employer) was having some kind of performance review with an employee. It sounded very unpleasant and uncomfortable. You wouldn't do this in your business at a loud volume if there were customers in the business, would you?

I placed an order and part of it was not delivered! Contacted by telephone and simply no answer. Bad service, because the burgers and fries were very tasty. But I paid too much for items that were not delivered! Advice: check your order at the door! And advice to burger n shake: check an order before sending it out!

The Brooklyn Burger itself was rather average and didn't particularly impress in terms of taste. In contrast, the fries were outstanding: crispy, fresh and perfectly cooked. The ketchup that was served with it also went well and rounded off the overall picture. The vanilla milkshake was another highlight, with a pleasant consistency and an intense, balanced taste. While the side dishes and the shake were convincing, I would have expected more from the burger.

Came to Amsterdam on holiday and fell across this place on our way to Amaze and what can we say. The best burger we have ever tasted. Freshly cooked to perfection. Saved to our favourites to come back again very soon.

Burger 'n Shake has really tasty burgers that taste great. The fries are freshly cut and taste really good – a real treat. The milkshake, on the other hand, was more reminiscent of cold frothed milk, in my case with cocoa. Although the consistency wasn't the classic milkshake, the chocolaty taste was still satisfying. Overall, Burger 'n Shake offers a good selection of tasty dishes, with the burgers and fries being particularly noteworthy.

We ordered a coconut milkshake (really good - 6€ for a medium) and a Chimichurri burger (I enjoy spicy but this just tasted spicy, and had little deep good flavour above and beyond )and q Brooklyn burger (this was good but the sauce was very basic, creamy). The burgers were about 8€ one. Overall, the service and milkshake was excellent bit the burgers were just a bit average in taste for my personal taste. Would recommend trying it though to see if the flavours work for you.

Best burgers I have eaten in a long time, the Old School and the Brooklyn Burger are highly recommended and the milkshakes are very tasty and the smoothies are delicious. The fries are always freshly made and my big tip is: get the fries with Belgian mayonnaise!!! The service is always nice and the waiting time is very low. It is not recommended to order alone, but that is the case with all burgers. The atmosphere is quite okay with good lighting and stylish and unique decor. And very suitable for young and old. Really a nice and good tent!!!

Finally ate some really tasty burgers again. What a difference with those big chains. The fries are also delicious, made from real potatoes, as they should be.

Food was fine, one of the loaded fries was labeled as spicy, but so extremely spicy that I lost my taste for over a week. Idk why but have a feeling they made it extra spicy on purpose (read further in post). Moreover: we walked into the restaurant wearing Indian jewelry (which looks a bit alternative/feminine) as guys and instantly felt very uncomfortable by the staff. Felt more like we were in a shisha lounge then a restaurant. Staff kept gossiping and laughing, looking at us etc. Guys helping us weren’t friendly and also treated our female friend weirdly. For a place in Amsterdam (a city known for its diversity and people being themselves) this place felt very uninviting and we’ll definitely not visit it again.

Burger was ok,burger patty has little fat in it so it’s a little dry. Loaded fries is not good. No way those fries are fresh.I think they put some old fries with cheese on top in the microwave because that is what you do when it’s almost closing time!
